| First topic message reminder :
Hidon stretched his arms out and opened his mouth wide, letting a rather loud yawn escape his mouth. Today was a somewhat slow day. Usually, he would be out and about in dungeons, crawling through them in an attempt to scour for some items for his team to use as well as getting in some extra training against feral and wild Pokémon within them. But today, for some reason, Hidon wasn't particularly feeling up to it. His team was finally supposed to go on its first outing soon, and he couldn't be more excited for it. And so, he had decided to wait on that and have some fun somewhere in town in the meantime. In his mind, he had earned it with all of the struggles he'd been going through the past few days. He might have gotten defeated a lot in battles, but he was still stronger than he used to be. On top of that, he'd actually come out of a lot of tight spots victorious as well. So as far as he was concerned, he'd earned a day o relaxation.
Besides, who knows? He might end up coming across somebody strong willing to battle with him here in the town. Most of the residents didn't particularly care about getting stronger since they could simply file requests with the Guild. And even fewer were probably willing to spar with him, as they were often busy with this and that around town. Still, maybe he could get lucky today. After all, for all he knew, he could find a strong Pokémon to consider his rival.
With that thought on his mind, Hidon continued to lounge around in the town square, looking for any Pokémon wandering around that didn't look particularly busy and looked like they could be pretty tough or interested in some battling.

| Mack felt a wave of heat behind him, but no burn. When he reached Benjamin and turned around, he saw a fiery crater left from the fireballs he somehow dodged!
"Oh thank the legendries!" Mack thought to himself, happy he avoided being turned into Timburr toast.
The relief turned back into tension when he turned back to see another barrage of fiery projectiles head his way. Thinking on instinct, the Timburr picked up his log and held it almost like a staff, hitting the fireballs with both ends of the log. Despite fire's known effects on wood, it seemed the density of the log and the speed of Mack's strikes were able to turn the fireballs into harmless clouds of smoke. Fireball after fireball got diffused, and with each one the Timburr's confidence grew bigger and bigger. After taking out the flaming hazards, he put the log by his side, staring at the Charmander who unleashed the flaming attack.
"Is that the best you got?" Mack said with a wry grin on his face, "My turn,"
The Timburr than ran forward and, using Benjamin, vaulted himself high into the air. He then held the log above his head, hoping to swing it down right on top of Hidon's fire spewing head.

| Just as he had feared, it seemed like Mack was able to not only evade his initial burst of Ember, but also his subsequent Ember blasts afterward to. Although he supposed in this case, it was less of a dodge and more of a block. Still, he did have to give credit where it was due. It took a pretty talented Pokémon to be able to block flames with a piece of wood and not have it incinerate. When the last fireball had been stopped dead in its tracks, the Timburr had struck a pose, setting his log down by his side. He growled slightly at Mack's slight taunt, but quickly readied himself again. He would have to demonstrate just how strong he was later, and that this Timburr was going to regret underestimating him just because he'd managed to completely block his flaming barrage.
He crouched slightly once Mack had begun his charge. He was ready to defend, fully expecting the log to be swung at him like a weapon. And he was more than ready. he already knew that he wouldn't be able to catch it since it was so heavy, so he'd have no choice but to dodge entirely. But what came next really took him by surprise. The log was not used to swing at him like a staff...at first. But instead, it was slammed into the ground, causing the Fighting-type Pokémon to vault high into the sky, taking the charmander completely by surprise.
Thankfully, though, Mack hung in the air just long enough for him to shake off the shock and return to his senses. Just before the log could be brought down onto his skull, the Fire-type Pokémon dove to the side, narrowly avoiding as the log crashed down mightily into the earth behind him. Unfortunately, he lacked the grace to roll back onto his feet quickly, but at least he was able to avoid that smash attack.
Hidon quickly brought his leg up, planting his foot firmly back on the grass as he pushed himself back to his feet again. "Ha...! Is that all you got!?" Hidon countered. Though there was no telling what Mack was doing after his missed attack. By the time he had got back up and turned around....
He looked toward the Timburr, trying to see what the muscular Pokémon would be doing next.

| The Timburr landed on the ground with a thud, the missed smash from the log causing the very ground to tremble, almost knocking Mack off balance! After regaining his senses, the Timburr turned to the Charmander, who seemed to be taunting to get back a Mack's earlier taunts. As the Pokémon boasted, the Timburr began to think,
"Ok, this guy is good. I think this guy is trying to tire me out. one strong shot should be enough to take out flame tail, but it seems the longer this goes, the more this fight goes in his favor. I have to catch him, but how?"
Suddenly the Timburr had an idea, he looked at the Charmander, grinned, and countered with another taunt of his own,
"Nope,"
The Timburr then picked up Benjamin and threw it right at the Charmander, not with the intention of actually hitting him, but with a strategy in mind.

| Hidon couldn't help but grin when he realized the Timburr had not recovered from the missed blow himself. He was content for now to simply stand here and gloat, preparing for whatever the Timburr was going to do next. What with him lugging that huge weapon around with him, no matter how strong he was, he was bound to tire himself out. All he had to do was keep dodging that log and he'd have this fight in the bag for sure.
Normally, he didn't like resorting to an evasive battle style. It wasn't how he liked to fight. But in this case, it was becoming increasingly obvious that tis Timburr was physically much more powerful than he was, with those powerful arms of his able to lift that heavy log. So he supposed this time, he would make an exception. He would wait until the Timburr had tired himself out. And then at that point, he would make his next move...and he would make it a decisive one at that. He grinned at the thought. He couldn't wait to see the look on Mack's face when his strongest attack came flying.
But then, Hidon realized that Mack was looking back at him with a grin. "Nope, hu-?" he started to reply, but was cut off when he suddenly saw that the large log had been thrown directly at him. "WAH!" he exclaimed, giving in to his instinct. He dove to the ground in front of him, narrowly avoiding the wood that went sailing over his head. "...Ha!" he boasted immediately after the shadow passed over him. "You missed!" He planted the sole of his foot back on the grass and began pushing himself back up again...not aware that Mack was apparently plotting something.

| Mack saw the Charmander jump clean over the log, impressive display, but playing into his plan. The second Hidon made the leap, Mack ran as fast as he could go, making lunges towards the Charmander. The Charmader had taunted, making this next part easier to accomplish. His fist began to grow a green color, and as the Charmader begun to push himself back up, Mack attempted to strike him in the chin with a uppercut, but this was no ordinary punch,
This was a drain punch.
If he could land this punch, not only would the Charmander's energy get sapped, which would make pinning him easier, but any energy he lost trying to dodge the Charmander's fireballs would be regained.

| Hidon could not have possibly seen the attack coming. by the time he even realized that Mack was charging at him, he had only just risen to his knees and gotten his view straightened out. And by that time, Mack was already halfway into throwing the punch. The glowing fist connected powerfully with the poor Charmander's unsuspecting jaw. "AGH!" he grunted in pain as his head snapped backwards with the force of the uppercut. He suddenly felt all of that Timburr's upper body strength get thrown into his chin...and given the fact that he could carry around that hefty log all the time, that was certainly not something to be taken lightly.
Hidon stumbled backward, feeling some of his strength drain away as he took the punch. He was back on his feet now, but only barely. He was slightly off-balance and his head had still been knocked back, exposing the rest of his torso, his guard completely shattered from just that one, unexpected punch.

| "Yes," Mack thought to himself as he felt a surge of power flow through his body. The energy filled him with a sense of determination, strength, and bravery. Best of all, it sapped all that good stuff from the hot headed fire type he was battling! The Charmander stumbled back, his torso exposed.
"One last shot outta do him in," Mack thought to himself, confidently, "Now? How to finish this fight off?"
"Ok, here we go,"
Suddenly the mighty Timburr leaned back, closing his eyes, and then snapped his head down to attempt a powerful headbutt to the chest of Hidon!

| Hidon struggled to regain his composure as quickly as he could. However, it would be much too late before he could manage. The next thing he knew, there was a pain jabbing powerfully against his chest. "AGH!" he cried out in pain as the headbutt met its target without interruption. The powerful Timburr's skull smashed into his body, causing him to lose his balance completely. His body crumpled under Mack's power, ending up smashed onto the ground on his back right at his feet.
The Charmander groaned from the ground, unable to get up very quickly after those two strong attacks. Thankfully, that headbutt had not been nearly as powerful as that Drain Punch, but that punch had left him feeling tired and, well...drained. Worse, Mack was probably right at full strength. Did he have the strength and determination left to turn this fight around...?

| Mack looked down at the Charmander, a little disappointed.
"So, is that the best you got?" he asked Hidon. He then thought to himself.
"I honestly expected more out of this guy. Oh well, another day another victory,"
Mack then slowly, confidently, attempted to place his foot on top of Hidon for the pin! He taunted the downed Charmander, smiling,
"I'd suggest you stay down, unless you want to get knocked around more,"

| Hidon was not down for long before his opponent began to talk down at him. And that first line got him almost immediately. Not much got under his skin more than the question, "Is that all you've got?" It wasn't such a bad taunt, but it was so much worse when it was actually a legitimate question, like how this Timburr was phrasing it. It was as if he was nothing to this guy! And of course, that wasn't the end of it either. He groaned from the ground as he watched Mack lift one of his feet and planted it firmly on top of his chest, pressing his body down to go for the successful pin attempt. And of course, there came another taunt to go with it.
Unfortunately, Hidon found himself powerless to respond. He wanted to show this guy that he had a lot more in him than this...but he wasn't so sure that he did. He was feeling exhausted after taking that Drain Punch. And so, he simply remained sprawled on the ground with Mac's foot pressed against his chest for a few seconds.
However, he shook his head. He couldn't let this fight end so easily, could he? He doubted that he would be able to pull out a victory in his condition, but he couldn't just leave it like this, with the match so completely one-sided! So, around the fourth count of the pin, he raised one of his legs up...and attempted to drive it into the Timburr's chest, hoping that it would be enough to knock the Fighting-type off of him and end the pin.
"Stay down...? N-not a chance!" he would reply to the muscular Pokémon.

| Mack stood triumphant over the Charmander, his foot planted firmly on the Pokémon's chest. There seemed to be no signs of any fight left in him! Mack smiled again and began to count.
"1........."
"2..........."
"3............"
"4..............."
Before he could finish the count, he felt the wind get knocked out of him. He stumbled back, clutching his stomach, and looked at Hidon. The Charmander now had his foot sticking up in the air, showing that there was still some fight left in him. Mack quickly recovered from the kick, however, and just stared at the Charmander.
Sure the Charmander was pretty much helpless in his currant state, but he was still pushing on, not giving up even when defeat was imminent.
Mack respected that.
However, this was a fight, a fight Mack didn't really want to lose.
"Ok, you made your choice," Mack said, chuckling.
Suddenly the Timburr attempted to jump on top of Hidon, hoping to ground and pound the Charmander into submission to end the one sided fight.

| Hidon was relieved as soon as he felt Mack's foot get thrown off of his chest. At least that would buy him a little bit more time to get back into the game. As soon as Mack had been kicked off of him, he lowered his leg once more and tried to place it onto he ground. Then, he placed his palms onto the ground beside him and began trying to push himself back onto his feet again. But when the Timburr spoke up again, Hidon's eyes widened slightly. He knew that he was about to have more damage coming his way.
Sure enough, a moment later, Mack's foot came crashing down on top of him once again. But if there was anything that he had been expecting...it was most certainly not the Fighting-type's whole body to come crashing down on top of him as well. Apparently, Mack saw it fit to completely jump on top of him, crushing his body into the dirt beneath his feet! "GAH!" he cried out as he felt the muscular Pokémon's full weight bear down on him, pressing him back to the ground again. And it would seem that that wasn't to be the end of it. The Timburr continued the assault by grinding his foot down into his body, causing more pain, and he felt a constant pounding on him as well.
"Grgh! Gah! Urgh!" he continued grunting as each painful blow met its mark. He was helpless. Try as he might to retaliate, his body was too busy convulsing due to the constant attacks and he couldn't keep his head steady enough to launch an Ember. For now, it seemed that Mack once again had his foe right where he wanted him. Hidon could do nothing as his body was thoroughly tenderized, the will and ability to fight slowly draining out of him with each blow.

| Mack kept hitting Hidon with his fists again and again, pounding the Charmander's face in. As he kept striking and striking, he couldn't help but feel sorry for his opponent.
"This guy has heart, but he's not on my level, at least not yet," Mack thought to himself,
"If I continue this pace, Hidon is going to get hurt, and I don't want that on my head."
Suddenly Mack pulled his last punch, holding his fist above the Charmander's head, but still on top of the challenger to make sure he didn't try to pull a cheap shot.
"Look friend," Mack began, "You've put up an incredible fight, definitely the best fight I've had in awhile, but let's face it, the odds are not in your favor right now. If we keep going, I can't say this won't end with you walking out with a serious injury,"
"What I'm basically saying is, surrender. There's no shame in giving up, live to fight another day. You've done great, and I don't want to do something I'll regret later,"

| Hidon grunted in pain with each punch. Each muscle-backed fist colliding with the sides of his face felt like he was getting smacked around by some kind of club. He had even come to the point where he was beginning to anticipate each painful strike, so he would actually flinch before the blow even came, trying to brace himself for the pain. And because Mack's full weight was pressed down on top of his body, there was no way he could fight back. Not with his head constantly getting smacked left and right, preventing him from aiming an Ember up at his target.
However, after a short while, Hidon found himself flinching...but no pain followed. He hesitantly opened is eyes again to see what was going on. Apparently, Mack had stopped his latest punch from smacking into his cheek this time. But it was still hovering in place right above his face. And of course, all of the Timburr's weight was still pressed down against his body, preventing him from getting up.
And then came the explanation. This Timburr...was urging him to surrender now before he ended up taking too much damage and ending up with some kind of serious injury? The very mention of that suggestion was enough to cause his face to become hot, thanks to a blush of humiliation that had just appeared on his face. He knew better than to think this had been a particularly good fight. This had been a completely one-sided fight. This guy was probably at full strength right now and here he was, getting punched into the dirt! Yeah, he knew that the odds weren't in his favor...he knew that the Timburr had a point. But now that it had been said aloud and it was now out in the open...?
How could he possibly accept such an offer? He'd never live it down!
"Tch...no shame says you." he grumbled, renewing his struggles against Mack's weight, trying to throw the Fighting-type off of him. "Sorry, but I fight until the fight's finished, no matter what, buddy!" Then, no sooner had those words left his mouth, flames began to emerge from it as well. Now that he had a chance to straighten out his head again, he took this opportunity to unleash an Ember attack, trying to blast a barrage of miniature fireballs into Mack's face in an attempt to get him to at least flinch and let up on him, possibly even fall off of him completely! Of course, if it was the former, it probably wouldn't be too big of a deal to push him off anyway, but...still.

| The Timburr couldn't help but smile at the Charmander's stubbornness. It reminded him of the times when he was growing up in his home village, getting into fights with some of the big bullies....
BAM!
Mack's flashbacks to his past were shattered from a series of fireballs to the face, causing him to scream in pain! He got off the Charmander, clutching his face in his hands. The pain was so great, he couldn't even open his eyes! Mack was now blind, at least for a short period of time, and open for a attack!
