An Old Grudge

Walking down the sidewalk, Pika was completely bored, without anything to do, and decided that he may as well go someplace. Which is how he found himself walking down the streets of a not-so-random neighborhood. The thirteen year-old Pika found a rock on the ground, and gave it a kick, kicking it as he walked.

Pika had begun to look at the fire going up from Zash, thinking it was a bad idea to stay close to him. As if on cue, Pike felt something come up and hit him on the head. He immediately released his hold and backed away from Zash, not wanting to get caught up in any fire. Figures, I open my mouth and then something goes wrong. He thought.

Zash waved a hand and the flames dismissed themselves they'd only arrived in the first place because he'd panic he was still confident he didn't need them. Zash straightened out his leather jacket and tea shirt after picked himself up. He was still grasping for breath.

Pika used this opportunity to dash forward towards Zash and make the first move. In a few motions, Pika grabbed Zash's arm with one hand and punched at Zash's face with his other, moving around so he was behind him, and holding Zash's arm behind him.

Zash now fully aware he had feet crouched and leg swept backwards counter clockwise. It was surprsingly helpful to fight with your legs and arms.

Pika let out an "oomph" type of sound as the leg collided with him, and backed away from Zash, taking a quick look at his staff. It had cooled down slightly, enough for him to grab in a minute or two maybe. "You're pretty good. I'm guessing this isn't your first fight." He commented, stalling a bit but also being a bit genuine.

OOC: I'm fine with this as is actually, I was just mentioning that because I wasn't sure if this would be the only time they really saw each other and fought.

" Nah." Zash confirmed. " The old man always takes a few cracks at me so I get into fights like this to vent off steam. " He pulled on the collar of his jacket. Saying it out loud made Zash feel calmer he didn't feel like he was fighting this guy because he was mad anymore it was just for sport now.

"And how does that usually work out?" Pika asked, continuing conversation. He still didn't like Zash there were just some bad gibes coming off of him. But he had no reason for hate yet, so talking was fine. "If it's only to blow off steam I can't imagine too many wins." He continued.

Zash scoffed. He held a hand out palm towards the sky. " They normally go down in fear after seeing this." Zash spawned a fire ball in his hand. Flames danced and flowed out from the orb of pure fire.

Pika crossed his arms, watching the ball of fire in Zash's hand. "And if that doesn't stop them?" He questioned, trying to look as if he was bored. In all honesty, Pika wasn't easily freaked out by things. Any sort of magic or whatever it was that Zash was using really didn't affect him. Until it was going to physically hurt him at least.

" Well I only crossed that situation today." He replied as he flicked his wrist like it had some icky substance on it, as he did the flames diminished. " Anyways burning things burns calories so I'm going to get something to eat." He said as he slipped off the lawn they had backed into during the fight and onto the side walk. " Want something?" He asked .

Turning around, Pika walked over to where his staff was in the gorund, and felt it. It was cool enough to pick up, so he did and clicked a button on it, making the ends shoot back into the metal rod. "Sure, why not?" He responded to Zash, and turned back around to follow him. He definitely didn't trust him, and would keep his eye on him, but he was always okay with food, especially if he had a chance of not paying.

" You hang around here often?" Zash asked he didn't know if he'd be able to put a tab on pika's meal at ricky's. The guy was kinda made at Zash have he wrecked the joint a little in a brawl.

"No. Just visiting around here for once." Pika responded, following Zash. "This also means I have no idea where we're going. Mind if I ask?" He asked, thinking about how to stick Zash with a bill.

" Nah I don't mind, we're heading to Ricky's he's tight with my family so.." Zash paused. He sniffed. " Oh god do you smell smoke?" He asked Pika.

Pika looked around, and sniffed a little, also smelling it. "Are you sure that isn't you? You just used a lot of fire." He asked, wondering what it was that was making that smell.
