» Personality: Gideon is a tiny pink ball of pure destruction - or so he claims. He takes pride in his strength and will take every possible opportunity to show off, always eager to engage in combat. However, he’s smart enough to not to mess with stronger pokémon. He's determined to become the world's most powerful and most successful explorer that ever existed, though this Balloon pokemon seems oblivious to how difficult that dream is to come true. Rude and snarky, Gideon's better at making rivals than friends, but he will become specially attached to those he deems strong. He doesn’t know when to give up, and can be quite reckless because of that.

Monotony – Gideon has an adventurous spirit and loves excitement. Few things upset him more than routines.

The Venipede family – He has a grudge against the centipede Pokémon ever since he was attacked by one of them; Especially hates his type weakness against the poison type.
» History: His mother was an explorer Jigglypuff named Grace, and his father, a merchant Togetic called Doc. Their relationship wasn’t the best, since his father was unfaithful and prone to lying. When the Grace found she had an Egg, the Togetic was quick to leave her, not wanting to take responsibilities. The Jigglypuff couldn't bring herself to abandon the Egg, and decided to take care of it alone.
One day, she left the Egg in her home for a while to attend an escort mission. When the mother was back, to her horror, the egg had been stolen.
The thief was a female Monferno, who had lost her baby to a sickness. Out of a desperate wish to have a child, she stole the first Egg she found. The baby Igglybuff hatched healthy, and the Monferno was glad to have a child to love again, naming him Gideon. The Igglybuff, however, was a curious one, and often walked away from his mother's watch, no matter how careful she was. It was only a matter of time before he wandered in places he shouldn’t; When his mother was occupied, the Igglybuff ventured in a Scolipede’s territory. He was attacked by the territorial beast, and would’ve been killed if it weren’t for the Monferno to save him at the last second.
The mother soon thought she couldn't prevent her child from seeing the world forever, so the best she could do was to teach him how to defend himself. Everyday, she'd teach him the basics of battling, using a tree trunk as a punching bag. Gideon grew to enjoy fighting immensely. By then, the kid began to value strength, admiring his adoptive mother as the strongest Pokémon he knew. In turn, she complimented how tough her child was becoming each day, unintentionally feeding his now growing ego.
After hearing stories about explorers, it didn’t take long before Gideon started to dream about becoming a legend, defeating incredibly strong mons and finding valuable treasure. When he felt he could handle the world, he bid his mother farewell and left to pursue his wishes.
