PostSubject: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptyTue Aug 18, 2015 7:08 pm

First topic message reminder :

Varda was quite exhausted! The trip through the odd house had been very taxing already, but when he had to make a quick trip back to the little town with a Glaceon on his back... Well, it certainly had been something, alright! Luckily he didn't have to carry his friend back, as they had been lucky and there was a Pokémon who could deal with their injuries for a small compensation, so they could just rush to the spooky weird house as soon as their legs – and wings – allowed them to! They had lost some valuable time doing this, but the bird believed he had done the right decision on his own, without Sova's help...

The house felt strange this time. They had been through such strange rooms on their first visit, but now the door they took sent them to an odd, extremely long hallway. It was rather narrow compared to many rooms they had seen before, but the hallway was wide enough to let a couple of Pokémon to walk side by side. There were no doors the bird could see, there hadn't been any doors for a while since the last one they took. As usual, there were various candles on the walls lighting up the gloomy house, some dark spots left behind by the dim lighting. The floorboards creaked under the pair of Pokémon and the old wallpaper was ripped in many places, revealing old wooden panels.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptyFri Dec 11, 2015 3:17 am

"Woah!" Varda exclaimed as Sova jumped closer, blocking some odd shadowy figures that he had just noticed as he turned around. He was so surprised that he couldn't help but take a hop backwards! But… This wasn't what he wanted to do! Well, it was but, but not like this! He did want to get the attention of the other Pokémon so they all wouldn't try attacking Sova, but… If Sova still got in the way and tried to take hits, it wouldn't really work!

The bird spread his wings as his eyes narrowed with determination. He fluffed up his feathers, creating his own fluffy armor that somehow actually was quite good at taking hits, and jumped forward. As the shadowy figure on the floor prepared for another attack, pulling back and lashing out at Sova, the Altaria decided to get in the way this time. It was odd how something that was a shadow seemed to be able to cause actual physical damage, as Varda felt himself be pushed back a bit by the strike… But gritting his beak, he dug his talons into the ground and pushed back.
"Don't… Um… You should try to avoid the hits, Sova!" The bird chirped to his friend, giving him a short glance before he had to focus fully on the shadowy attacker.

He didn't really know what the plan was, but if there was one – or if one would have to be created… It would probably be Sova who should be in charge of it.

The two Froslass were having difficulties with the fire, one of them immediately disappearing as the flames got too close, not wanting to be burned. But the other one stayed behind, staring at the Charmeleon coldly and not breaking her eye contact even to blink. There was a dark flash in her eye as she created a Destiny Bond between the two Pokémon, willing to take a hit herself if…

PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptyFri Dec 11, 2015 4:47 am

Sova stumbled forward a bit as the shadowy spikes retracted, but he quickly caught himself before falling to the ground and prepared as the shadows came back at him. However, this time, it seemed the tables had turned and Varda was now the one blocking. This was good, it meant he was now free to handle the source of the shadows. He followed them back to a little sableye with his gaze and locked eyes with it, but just as he prepared to rip it apart.... Varda spoke up. Yes, avoiding hits was definitely a priority, but he kind of had to worry about others right now!

"Just stay there and look pretty," he responded in a slightly hostile manner to the altaria, feeling a bit annoyed that the only response to his body-block was a suggestion to "try and dodge."
Without waiting for a response, he bolted toward the sableye and appeared in front of its face in about a second. It was always satisfying to see the shocked face of someone who underestimated how fast he could get to them, and right now was no different. The little gremlin looked fairly surprised and worried. Good.

Before the sableye could back away, Sova bit onto its left arm and dragged it down in front of him, forcing it to slam into the hard floor. This broke its concentration and resulted in its shadow-spikes disappearing entirely. He took a deep breath and blew visible, freezing mist down on the little gremlin, not intending to stop until he was entirely out of breath. However, a sudden pain in his back forced him to stop early.... another Shadow Ball. A dark purple haze surrounded him from the blast, obscuring him from view. It was the thing that kept targeting him in specific. This time, however, he'd paid close attention to where the attack had come from based on where it'd hit him.

The cloud of smoke was suddenly disturbed with some of it seeming to shoot outward in the direction of a coffagrigus, the one who'd kept attacking Sova. However, this was just due to how fast Sova was currently pushing himself to go. The living coffin was leaning against a wall as far away as it could get from the fight, hoping to just attack from a range the entire time. It just barely realized the glaceon was coming toward it in time to open itself up, hoping to just capture and mummify him, but he'd fully expected this and came to a sudden stop barely a foot away from it. A distinct wave of pain in his right leg made him regret putting so much stress on his injured leg, but he didn't have time to think about that right now.

A dark purple orb of negative energy formed in front of the glaceon's face and fired into the exposed inside of the coffagrigus too quickly for it to respond to, and his was clearly a considerable amount stronger as it stunned the creature long enough for him to fire another. Then another. And another. The negative haze of energy dispersed from the Shadow Balls made it impossible to see the creature inside it that he continued to attack, this he had no clue what its condition was, but he just kept attacking. He got a bit distracted with this and as such, failed to notice one of the froslass appearing behind him with a distinct black aura around its open mouth.

Jak watched as the flame struck one of his targets. The only thing that confused him was why it didn’t attempt to dodge, while the other did. As the Pokémon stared at him as the flame hit it. The ghost type winced in pain as the flames burnt it, Jak quickly flinching in pain also as it did so. The intense burning sensation across his whole body felt horrid. The burn Jak had inflicted on the ghost type, had also affected him somehow!

“Do-doesn’t feel good, does it?” the ghost type mocked in pain. Jak was shocked at what he heard, What… did it do to me? he thought as he tried to ignore the burning pain. “You – won’t – wake – master!” the ghost stated as the wind began to pick up. The air began to get colder and the moisture began to form fog all over. At some point the fog faded and snow started to blow into the area once more.  This time, it was a much more violent display of power was about to come upon them, as a blizzard would tear through if nothing is done. Jak however, didn’t want to risk whatever it was planning as it said so. “This is gonna hurt…” he said to himself quietly as he built up his flames. If nothing is done before he handles this Pokémon. He will unleash his flame against the Pokémon, which WILL result in severe injury on his part also.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptySat Dec 12, 2015 9:35 am

Varda quickly glanced at the Glaceon who told him to be pretty, and… Nodded, looking as serious as he possibly could have.
"A-Alright!" He even chirped, not sure why he should be looking pretty, as no one had ever told him to do that… But if it was Sova, then he was sure there was some great big meaning to it that would help them come up on top. He'd stay there, pushing and blocking the shadows as they tried to lash out and do it… Prettily. He honestly had no idea how to do that, but he tried his best! He held his head high and took graceful steps – or at least what he thought to be graceful.

And then, the shadowy spikes suddenly stopped appearing, disappearing into thin air – and causing the bird to wobble as he had currently been pushing against one. With confusion in his eyes, he looked around to see one of the Pokémon down, though still moving. Sova closed in on it, and…

A sudden ball of shadowy energy hit the Glaceon, causing the Altaria to chirp. Oh no, and he had supposed to protect Sova! Though… He was also told to stay where he was. What a dilemma. While the Glaceon seemed to recover and retaliated at the floating coffin-like thing, Varda managed to see something else appear much too close to Sova. One of those ghosts with freezing powers, and this one definitely wasn't Nevi… He couldn't stay put anymore.

The bird hopped into the air and rushed forward, landing right between the ghost and the Glaceon.
"Um, sorry, I can't stay put anymore! But… But I'll try to be pretty!" Varda called out before he turned his attention back to the Froslass. A freezing wind suddenly kicked up, causing the bird's feathers to be ruffled and his long streamers on top of his head to flap helplessly, but… He wasn't going to be pushed by this wind! He dug his talons into the floor and braced himself.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptySat Dec 12, 2015 5:58 pm

Sova's ears perked up as he heard a flapping sound and he turned just in time to see Varda get between himself and.... a froslass.  He was quite certain he wouldn't have even noticed the froslass otherwise, and he wasn't sure he would have been capable of taking whatever attack it would have dealt.  But at least he would have still dealt with the annoying cofagrigus, as his attacks had knocked it unconscious.... though it stayed upright in a creepy manner.  A cold wind began to blow, a rather strong wind at that, but there was something funny about that.  Even in his weakened state.... this was nothing.

Against the wind, he bolted around Varda and in front of the froslass, speaking as he did so, "Thanks."
The bird deserved to feel proud for this.  However, he wasn't intent on letting Varda be put in harm's way here any more than he had to, and that meant this froslass needed to go.  It raised an arm and attempted to.... backhand him?  Wake-Up Slap, which would have most definitely hurt had it hit despite him being awake, but he wasn't planning on letting himself be hit.  He stepped back just barely far enough for the ghost's hand to miss him, then bit onto it as it passed by, pulling the froslass down onto him.  Then he released its arm and rammed his shoulder into it, knocking it back and to the ground.

"I thought I already beat you down once?" he questioned, but only received a moan in response.
It was trying to pull itself together and get back up, but this was the second time it'd been laid out in the past.... minute, maybe?  So needless to say, it was having difficulties with the whole "moving" thing right now.  Sova then took some time to really look around at the enemies in the room and, well, there were a lot.  It seemed Jak was having trouble with a froslass too; the charmeleon was clearly in pain, yet he hadn't seen the froslass attack.  This led him to believe it'd used Destiny Bond, as Ghost-types often knew how to do that annoying little trick.

Sova turned back toward Varda and gave a simple direction, "Sing.  And don't get hurt."
This would hopefully help deal with some of the enemies, but more importantly, it'd be a way to deal with a certain froslass without knocking Jak out as well.  Speaking of froslass, he turned his attention back to the one he'd battered twice now as it still struggled to pull itself up.  Such a shame it wasn't more powerful, and it was also a shame he couldn't spend some time beating on it.  Oh well.  A Shadow Ball formed in front of him and flew into the froslass, eliciting a high-pitched and brief "yipe" sound before silence.

With that out of the way, he turned his focus to the next froslass and bolted for it, trying to get to it before Jak did something stupid.  "Don't!" he shouted as he neared it, planning to try and pin it without knocking it out if Jak listened to him and didn't try to make it extra crispy.
However, if the charmeleon decided to go all pyro-mode anyway, he was going to back the Hell away.  He couldn't risk another hit right now just to save someone from themselves.

(Cofagrigus, 1 Sableye, and another Froslass are out.)

Stalker Kat Edit: Sova better be prepared to pay Child Support if's he's going to fkin cheat on Acro with Varda fkin player mofo, WHAT WOULD SHINKA THINK!? YOU KNOW, YOUR CHILD YOU AGREED TO ADOPT WITH ACrO!? FKIN UNFAITHFUL GLACEON THINKS HE CAN DO WUT HE WANTS BECAUSE HES LEVEL SIXTY-WHATVER GAWD

Jak turned his head as he held the flames within his mouth at the sudden shout to stop. He was a bit confused but he had little time to make the decision to stop or continue. If he didn’t do anything, they would be forced to endure a full blown blizzard!

As he quickly tried to make his decision, he glanced over with one eye to see Sova sprinting towards his direction. He directed his attention towards the ghost once more as it started to move once more. It seemed to notice Sova’s presence and seemed too calm about it.

Jak shook his head and threw power into his flame, converting it into the bluish one he had previously used. After he did that, he quickly fired it off at the closest enemy other than the ghost type he was currently facing. He wasn’t going to waste the energy he used to build the flame. At the time, the closest enemy was little candle of a Pokémon. This move was a bit of a mistake as the flame was quickly absorbed as a wide smile formed on its face.

What exactly was it planning with this extra power?

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptySun Dec 13, 2015 9:39 am

Varda was a bit surprised to have the Glaceon dash in front of him, considering that he was trying to get in the way so a hostile Pokémon wouldn't attack Sova, but… Sova seemed to be happy in a way, so the bird couldn't feel confused. Instead, he felt happy too! Like something was good and going well. With a big smile, he just nodded at the thanks and hopped aside. The Glaceon evaded the ghost's attack and retaliated, not seeming to knock it unconscious but it was obvious that it was getting tired.

The icy wind picked up, making it difficult for the lighter bird to stand his ground – especially when the wind tried to push his wings open and it caught onto those so easily! The Altaria just had to try to keep his wings closed as well as he could, but there was more in store than just wind and cold. Tiny ice particles started to twinkle in the air, turning the wind into a snow storm! It seemed like it was only trying to pick up speed now, but how long would it take until it was a real blizzard…?

Varda glanced at the Glaceon for a short moment when he heard his voice calling out to him, asking to sing… Because the long feathers on top of his head managed to slap into his face and he couldn't really see anything with them in the way.
"Um… I'll try!" He chirped, but he didn't have any idea if he could actually do what he was being asked. He could sing, sure, but avoiding attacks at the same time… That would be hard!

And there was another thing he noticed. The wind was getting louder, quite easily blocking sounds if they weren't loud enough. Would a song even work if no one could hear it? Probably not. But he had to try anyways. The Altaria didn't dare to open his wings and take flight, most likely unable to fight the gusts, so he stayed on the ground and started to sing as loud as he could.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptySun Dec 13, 2015 8:11 pm

The froslass noticed Sova, yet made no effort to counterattack or move.  This confused him, but he just ignored this and rammed into it, biting onto one of its arms and dragging it to the ground.  He then put a paw on its forehead to make sure it didn't get up and leave, but it just gave a cocky smile rather than any kind of fear or agitation.  It seemed like it hadn't even fought back.  Why had it been so nonchalant?

"Go ahead.  It's a little late now, and if you do anything to me, he'll go down too," the specter spoke.

Sova just glared at the creature before looking up at the swirling winds, now becoming visible due to the snow forming.  This wasn't very threatening to him, and maybe Jak could take it, but.... Varda.  Even if what the froslass had said was a lie and knocking it out would stop the blizzard, that would mean knocking Jak out too, so that wasn't an option.  There was only one way to deal with this.... and he was not looking forward to it.

He looked back down at the froslass to make sure it stayed where it was.  If it decided to hit him, he was done, so he had to keep a close eye on it.  He concentrated as well as he could on taking control of the blizzard, pushing against it in an attempt to completely stop the winds, and it began to work.  The swirling snow started to die down almost immediately; it seemed he had a significant power advantage over this froslass.  He smirked back at it as he overpowered it, and its own look turned to a glare.

Then there was a sudden blast of fire, one he'd been too focused to notice in time.  Even if he had, he was not in a position to properly dodge.  The litwick who'd been focused on Jak and just basically gotten fire-steroids noticed him trying to stop the blizzard and decided to attack him.  In the moment of surprise and hesitation he had before being engulfed in flames, the froslass knocked his leg - which happened to be the injured one - off its forehead with its arm and suddenly vanished, avoiding the attack.  For something created by a litwick, this fire was certainly painful.  He reflexively opened his mouth to yell out in pain, but it was lights out before he could even make a sound.

"My turn.  And I think I'll stick around for a while this time,"

A voice echoed through the glaceon's head as he passed out.  However, his body didn't pass out.  Nor did his mind, it just.... changed.  The blizzard began to start swirling faster again, though it picked up faster than before, and it was going to to be quite a lot more painful to everything inside.  There was a sudden breach in the fire to the side, with the flames blowing outward a bit from a wind that'd been kicked up from something moving.  The litwick noticed it, but couldn't find the glaceon who'd escaped its attack.  That was okay though, it didn't need to find him.  He had no intention of hiding.

For just a moment, the blue quadrupedal figure slowed down enough for an untrained eye to follow.  Where?  Right in front of the litwick.  He spun around and slapped the little creature into a wall with his tail, which was now covered in larger, sharper icy spikes than normal along with the rest of his body.  He then bolted off once more, again appearing to pretty much disappear to anyone without the capabilities to follow his speed with their sight.  The froslass had reappeared in the center of the room, hoping to be protected by the rest of the enemies.  It was wrong.

Before it could even react, it was grabbed out of the air by its arm and dragged closer to the ground.  Within a second, it was slammed into and through the door on the other side of the room.  Its arm was released, which allowed it to free-fly through into the next room.  A very large room it was, though the creature managed to be flung clear into the center of it before tumbling to a stop, barely conscious.

The blizzard was already affecting the enemies.  A golett who'd been guarding the sableye with the box casing collapsed from the freezing cold and while it wasn't quite unconscious yet, its body was already beginning to freeze over.  Anything that remained still would likely suffer the same fate.  The aforementioned sableye was doing its best to stay standing, but it would be down soon as well.  Larger, stronger enemies were taking a bit longer to wear down, but they'd all drop soon enough if nothing else got to them first.  Vision was being obscured for all in the still-thickening blizzard as well.  And of course, it was entirely drowning out Varda's song and all other noise.

But most importantly, this blizzard was being carelessly controlled, and it was aimed at everyone.

(Sorry, Kat told me to.  She's a bad influence.)

Jak flinched as the flame from the candle Pokémon shot past him, striking the ice type as it pinned the ghost to the ground. “Sova!” Jak began to shout out as the attack struck the ice fox. The fire swirled around the Pokémon, the wind growing more intense by the second. Within a split second, a break formed in the flame. The flames quickly being knocked away, the ice type was nowhere to be seen. Where could he have gone?

As the wind blew harder and harder, the sting of the cold started to become unbearable. Jak turned as he heard a cry as the candle Pokémon was struck with something. Jak quickly turned to see, only to see Sova standing there for a short moment, not remaining long. Jak lost sight of the ice type briefly as he dashed off once more. Jak immediately turned to see him going towards the froslass after it had ran towards the center of the room.

Jak turned around to look for Varda, as he was sure Sova was fine on his own for now… considering he just went all crazy attacking the enemy. He wasn’t too worried about Sova getting hurt. However, he was more worried about the bird, as he could take a wild guess at what had happened to Sova. It was something he was told a while back that he promised never to mention.

As Jak started to look for where the bird was, he realized that he was having trouble moving in the cold. The snow becoming thicker in the air. It was a bit alarming as it was really started to hurt. However, during his search he heard the door slam open as he felt pain that seemed to cover everywhere on his body. The intense feeling of being hit by a heavy pointy object.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptyMon Dec 14, 2015 8:26 am

Varda sang. Or at least he tried to. He was having a hard time getting his voice heard over the wind, but he didn't stop. It still felt like he might have been able to if he kept at it long enough, if he tried to be a bit louder. Maybe the others could stop the storm and everything would be fine! He had faith in his friends and Sova's plan! However, he would have been lying if he had said it wasn't hard. It seemed like the wind was only getting stronger and faster, making it harder to even stay in one place… And even harder to sing when it felt like a lot of air was being forced down his throat at once. Cold air. Very cold. The bird felt his feathers start freezing, but it didn't stop him.

The wind became worse. It grew faster, pushing the Altaria around even though he tried to hold onto the floor with his claws, but it was too strong for him. And as it picked up speed, it only became colder, now quite clearly freezing and something no Pokémon should be stuck in for very long – if even for a short moment. There was ice and snow in the air, turning the dim hallway into a funnel of white and nothing else. Even when Varda tried to open his eyes to see something, there was… Nothing but him and white. And his body was soon covered in a layer of white snow, as well.

He still tried to sing, but the wind made it as if no sounds escaped his throat. The snow forced him to cough, as did the cold, dry air. It felt so hopeless – and cold. His wings felt like they weren't moving anymore, their fluff frozen into an icy armor like Sova's, except that this one didn't do much in the form of protection and was more of a hindrance than anything. Everything was so… Heavy and cold. At least the wind didn't push his wings open anymore and force him into the air to be tossed around by the whirlwinds, but now he was stuck and couldn't even open them if he wanted to…

"S-Sova? Jak?" He tried to call out, but even his voice had grown weak. The ice in the air pelleted him, and it hurt! He had no idea what was going on or where his friends were, but he was quickly losing the feeling in his toes. Eventually he fell over, his legs too cold to support him as the icy winds continued to buffet against him, a pile of snow gathering against and over Varda as he lied on the floor.

House of Hallways - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: House of Hallways   House of Hallways - Page 14 EmptyMon Dec 14, 2015 5:33 pm

S.S. stood still in the blizzard for only a moment after watching the froslass fly.... and fall. He let out a quiet giggle, one that was inaudible past the blizzard, before stepping back into the depths of his domain. The attack was actually beginning to hurt him a bit too, but he didn't care. He couldn't see either, but that didn't matter; he'd memorized the positions of all the enemies and he was confident none of them would be moving any time soon in this lovely weath-

Suddenly, a flaming fist came through the snow and toward the glaceon. The haunter, barely managing to move. It'd apparently been close enough to see him through the literal whiteout he'd created. He just stood there until the last second, then blew on the ghost's hand just before it reached him. Freezing air covered the creature, putting out the fire, though it kept going mostly out of momentum. The now-extinguished punch hit him in the forehead and did pretty much nothing; didn't even break his armor. His armor wasn't very prominent there, but it still managed to cut up the haunter's hand, which caused it to recoil. It only stayed airborne for a moment before a mixture of the pain in its hand, the Frost Breath, and the Blizzard brought it down to the ground.

Next, the lampent. It'd been knocked down earlier, but it wasn't out. He remembered where it was. He was in its face in a moment, and it seemed like it was having trouble keeping itself off the ground. It was awfully warm around the creature.... "Nice trick," he spoke just loudly enough for it to hear him through the winds.
It was trying to use its natural inner flame to keep itself warm, putting all its energy into that. It was working to an extent. The glaceon took in a deep breath and calmly began to blow on the lamp-like pokémon, bringing it slowly down to the ground until it finally collapsed.

The two gourgeist were together, but they were both already in so much pain from the blizzard, they weren't really worth fighting by the time he got to them. One was flat on the ground already and beginning to ice over, while the other was barely standing; it was one of the larger, bulkier ones, so this made sense. The second it spotted the glaceon, it began to glow, using the last of its energy to fight back. It was going to explode. It took him a moment to realize this. A moment too long. An explosion erupted from the plant-ghost and he retreated from it as quickly as he could, but the attack just barely managed to reach him before subsiding. It actually knocked him off his paws and cut off his concentration on his blizzard. The winds began to die down a bit, and while he could have just put his focus back on them, he knew that was no longer needed.

His icy armor had been cracked and even broken in some places, but his body hadn't sustained any severe injuries from the hit. Good, because while pain was of no concern to him, he was by no means invincible or immortal. The armor began to re-form as he pulled himself back to his paws, giggling in a maniacal manner once more. He couldn't see anything in his own blizzard, and the explosion had taken his focus off remembering where all the enemies were, so it seemed he had no choice.... He decided to give the blizzard a bit of help in stopping, and the slowing winds suddenly all ceased over the course of a few seconds, leaving the snow to gently fall and removing the whiteout that'd been created. Now that there was suddenly no wind, the giggling was audible to anyone who cared to hear.... and anyone who cared to look would see a fairly.... deranged smile on his face.

All of the enemies were unconscious except the sableye holding the music box, who'd been holding onto its consciousness for dear life. And, well, the one froslass who'd probably run off by now. The sableye was covered in a pile of snow at this point, which had actually protected it from the blizzard, but when it heard the wind stop.... it got up and tried to make a break for it. Through the door apparently. A pitch-black ball of negative energy appeared in front of S.S' face and flew toward the sableye, making an audible zipping sound as it went through the air due to its speed. The sableye miraculously ducked in time to avoid the attack, but the explosion on the wall behind it knocked it forward off its feet and into the snow, forcing it to drop the box casing in front of it.

"Why are you still alive?" the glaceon questioned in an oddly darker-than-normal voice as he slowly approached the creature.
It was still conscious, but barely. It definitely wasn't in a condition to be running. There was no reason to keep attacking it. He didn't care. His insane giggles persisted as he approached, quiet, yet not nearly quiet enough for others not to hear.

Jak had been lying still for a while as the snow surrounded him. His own body heat seemed to keep it from burying him. He had kept his tail close enough to him to aid in keeping himself warm, but was in a lot of pain. Jak attempted to push through the pain as he struggled to get up. Jak looked up towards the glaceon as the blizzard had cleared to see its twisted face.

Jak glanced around as he held himself up with his arms, still having yet to get up fully. He glanced around to see the mess of Pokémon that had been knocked out or buried in the snow. He couldn’t believe what he saw, was it sova’s doing? No… it couldn’t have been. Jak looked towards Sova once more, seeing that demented face gave him the creeps. Was that even sova?

Jak grunted as he pushed even harder to get up, only managing to get into a sitting position. He heard Sova’s voice, questioning why something was still alive.  “So-sova.” he groaned in pain. The only thing Jak heard was the insane giggling that persisted.

Varda was feeling like a giant bird popsicle. Or just like a giant bird frozen for later use. In a way, the layer of snow that had fallen on him protected him from the cold outside, insulating him and blocking the wind… Though he was already very cold and practically frozen, so he couldn't find much solace in that. It was just… So quiet. The snow was pushed away by the wind, but it was also replaced by new wind immediately. His ears were covered almost all the time, making the howling wind outside just a quiet little whir…

And then it got a little better. No longer feeling cold, it was like a pleasant warm just flushed over him! It wasn't like he had thawed or something, no, he was still pretty much frozen in places and unable to move, but at least he was warm this time! It felt nice, being under a soft, warm blanket. He could have just fallen asleep.

But even though he couldn't hear much, he did hear when the wind suddenly stopped outside. The Altaria had already gotten used to the gentle, deep roar, but now that it was gone, it was definitely noticeable. ...But that didn't matter to him much. Actually, it probably made it easier to sleep. The bird found it so hard to keep his eyes open, so he stopped trying and just closed them.

S.S. approached the sableye, continuing his maniacal giggling, but suddenly paused.
He was silent. He'd heard a voice. Someone else still awake? His smile widened a bit at the voice, calling for.... Sova. It was someone who didn't know of his existence, then? Oh, this was going to be fun. He turned to let his gaze perfectly meet.... a charmeleon. Jak, from what his shared memories with Sova told him. Knew vaguely of him, but had yet to get a proper introduction....

"Wrong. My name is S.S." he spoke up as he began to approach the charmeleon.
His voice was strained and gritty in comparison to Sova's, with a very dark and malevolent tone to it. Same voice box, yet a very different sound. It almost sounded forced, but it really wasn't at all. "You survived the blizzard.... and you're still standing. Sort of. Heheh.... that's.... impressive. I look forward to treating you to a proper welcome in the future, but for now...." he trailed off.

Wind began to stir up once more, but this time, it wasn't anything intense. It was just strong enough to lift up the snow, and it was blowing upward and away from the center of the room, which began blowing the snow toward the walls. After a moment of this, a little bit of the altaria-cicle was revealed.

"Warm him up. And hurry, before I leave you both.... or maybe I'll see how much entertainment you can provide in your current state," he finished with another of his maniacal giggles as he stopped in front of the charmeleon, giving a dismissive wave of his paw.
Of course, he was threatening Jak, and he assumed this was obvious. However, he didn't intend to actually do anything to the charmeleon.... at least, not without reason. It was just a.... motivational threat.

(OH GOD I KILLED VARDA)

Jak remained where he was as the glaceon approached him. The voice, that voice had such a dark tone to it, despite having the same sound. The one that was in control… they claimed their name was S.S. It seemed amused that he had survived the blizzard and that he was still standing, in some sense. It stated that he needed to give him a proper welcome in the future, which sounded a bit like a bad idea waiting to happen.

As Jak stared at the ice type, the wind seemed to pick up briefly as the snow was blown away from the center of the room. When he looked there, he saw the bird nearly frozen to death. Looking back at the glaceon as it started to speak again. It demanded to warm the bird up and hurry. It even left a seemingly casual threat in there, saying aloud how much entertainment he could provide in his Jak’s current state.

He couldn’t move on his own, and he didn’t want to instigate this… thing that was controlling sova. However, one thing came to mind about his previous conversation with Sova. It wasn’t going to do something Sova didn’t like… Perhaps, that is why it isn’t attacking him now? Would he risk provoking it, or no?

“Easy for y-you to say… I can’t move.” he groaned as he attempted to push himself off the ground, quickly failing. “If yo-you don’t want to upset S-sova… Then he-help me help him.” Jak stated in pain. This was either going to hurt him more, or actually push the ice type into helping.
