Gummis and Specuation

I'm the type of person who spend an inordinately long time thinking about what the healing potions and various other consumables in the video games I play are supposed to taste like. For this reason, I am very grateful for the main series Pokemon games and their delightfully flowery berry tag descriptions, as well as the flavor text for the other edibles in the games.

also for this reason, I spent way longer than strictly necessary considering the flavors of the gummis from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Canon. I want to share my headcanons for the gummi flavors with you guys and would be very excited to hear yours in return.

Red (Fire): Cinnamon
Grass (Grass): petrichor and ginger
Blue (Water): Watermelon
Yellow (Electric): Pineapple
Clear (Ice): Ramune
Black (Dark): Blackberry
Gold (Psychic): Honey
Royal (Dragon): Blueberry Pie
Sky (Flying): Lemon-Lime
Green (Bug): Green tea
Pink (Poison): Corn syrup
Purple (Ghost): Plum
Orange (fighting): Persimmon
Silver (Steel): Almond and Copper
Gray (Rock): Lime
Brown (Ground): Toffee
White (Normal): Mochi
Wonder gummi: Dragon Fruit
Wander gummi: same as wonder gummi, but with a strong fishy aftertaste

It's interesting that you posted this, because I've been closely following a PMD fanfic that mentions what the Gummis might taste like. Anyways, here's my opinion:

Red (Fire): Cinnamon

Clear (Ice): Mint
Black (Dark): Blackberry
Gold (Psychic): Wine
Royal (Dragon): Dragonfruit
Sky (Flying): Cotton Candy

Pink (Poison): Castor Beans
Purple (Ghost): Candy
Orange (fighting): Eggs or Meat
Silver (Steel): Metallic (no metal in particular)
Gray (Rock): Nuts
Brown (Ground): Chocolate
White (Normal): Vanilla
Wonder Gummi: Indescribable flavor

These are pretty cool. I particularly like the clear/mint and gray/nut ones. I almost wish I'd come up with them myself!

I would tell you the plot, but I'd probably end up spoiling part of the story in the process. Anyways, it's a fantastic story, and it updates very frequently, unlike a lot of the fanfics out there. If you like fanfiction, I suggest you give it a read! =]
