Shattered Skies

Joey and Azeral found the clearing. The falls were right amongst them. The most curious bit though was the odd color of the falls. It being silver. Joey hasn't ever really gone to the falls before. This being his first time.

He looked around the area for a moment and then towards Azeral. "Is this Monochrome Falls? It's glowing silver all over!" he said with great amusement.

However the colors of the falls were starting to fade. "huh?" Joey was confused to why this was happening. He looked up towards the sky for a moment and stared. A very strong feeling of dread filled him.

"A-Az-Azeral...." he stuttered on his words as if he saw a ghost or something. "Whats happening." he said with fear growing in his voice. It was very apparent that something was wrong.

The clouds approaching the duo ever so slowly. Joey didn't even feel the energy in the air as it approached... It wasn't a normal storm that had been approaching as odd colored lightning streaked across the sky among the clouds.

Something was terribly wrong... The clouds, as they approached. Seemed to be swirling in a whole mess of chaos. Nothing was organized in the sky at all. The air felt deadly still as the clouds approached.

"I... I don't like this..." he said as he looked towards Azeral.

Azeral smiled as she saw the falls, this place seemed so calm and peaceful she just loved it. "Ya it's wonderful isn't it." Azeral said as she stared at the waterfall, she loved water and thunder, though the two mixed was a bad idea.

Azeral looked at Joey after sensing an abnormal amount of pure fear coming from the pichu, Azeral looked up and the feeling she had since she walked into the forest came back again full circle, in all her years of traveling she hadn't seen something like this, and she was afraid of it.

Joey, move we have to get behind the waterfall. Azeral wanted to say but no words came out, her mouth was left open and small little sounds came out, her heroic side won over her fear and she grabbed Joey teleporting them behind the falls.

Azeral landed clean, she wasn't taking in breath before so she was panting slightly. "I-i have no idea what that was." Azeral said looking back at the falls, maybe if she and Joey were under cover nothing bad would happen, that was her reasoning when she teleported.

Joey was quickly teleported to behind the waterfall. As he wasn't quite prepared, he wound up on the ground once more. However, he remained there for a moment as he looked towards the waterfall. Joey shook his head for a moment. "I... I didn't sense it..." he managed to get out. "That... That is not lightning." he said as he quickly looked away as the streak crossed the sky as it lit up the waterfall. The odd color it made was unnatural...

Joey looked towards Azeral for a moment then back at the falls. The fear coming off of Joey... Although it seemed to lighten. It was now ever constant... His other emotions fighting to get over it. "What... What do we do?" Joey asked Azeral.

Azeral looked at the falls for a while, she was scared, she didn't want to admit it but she was, for her safety and Joey's. "We, We finish the mission, go back to the guild and report." Azeral said as got up, her bravado returned as she looked at Joey. "Whatever that is we cannot be afraid, we are team shattered blade." Azeral said standing straight, she wasn't scared of anything.

Though the moment she did something jumped through the waterfall and landed near the two of them, it looked like a wounded Gallade with a large red cloak covering his body, he stood tall looking at Azeral and Joey with cold demeaning eyes. his left arm was cut up badly and wounds were on his stomach

Almost right behind him a Blastoise came barreling though, it's eyes were red with hate and it's stance reflected this, it looked at the Gallade and the duo with hate filled eyes, though it stood for a moment.

Azeral nearly jumped at the sound of something crashing through the falls. A Gallade seemed to come through the falls. The gallade seemed to be wounded from Joey's perspective. Not even a few seconds later, another sound of water crashing on something resounded within the cave. This time the noise being much louder as the Blastoise came barreling through the falls.

Joey stared at it for a moment until he saw its face. He quickly broke eye contact from it and looked towards the Gallade. It was pretty clear the injuries came from the blastoise at this point. The most disturbing part about the blastoise though was its red eyes. They seemed to be filled with utter hatred.

Joey quickly snapped out of his fear and ran in between the gallade and the Blastoise. Electricity began popping off his cheeks almost instantaneously. He was not going to give up on helping a pokemon. Even if this thing was far stronger then him. "Back off!" he shouted at the pokemon.

The Gallade looked back and swore under his breath. "Following me to the end huh, i was helping you." He said in a ruggish voice as he stood up and turned to face the Pokemon, not even a few minutes later he fell to his knee in agony, the wounds were really deep.

Azeral got in front of the Gallade with Joey and stared at the Pokemon, the Gallade looked at Az for a moment shaking his head. "No, couldn't be." He said as he forced himself back up. "He should be weak enough for you two to take him down, i made sure these wounds ever given back." He said holding his arm.

Azeral nodded and looked at the Blastoise, she was ready to fight and so was it, the Pokemon showed this by firing a hydro pump right at the three of them, Az and the Gallade got out of the way Via teleporting, the strange thing was the blast came slower, as if the Pokemon hadn't used it much.

Joey watched as the torrent of water came straight at him. "NO!" he shouted as he unloaded a massive amount of electricity directly towards the stream of water. The water channeled his energy straight towards the Blastoise, scoring a direct hit. Just as the water was about to hit the Pichu, he jumped out of the way and looked at the Blastoise to see if that had done the job.

He didn't look around to see where the other two had went, he was too focused on making sure this thing had been dealt with. Joey was not about to let some monster water type try and hurt his friend or other pokemon.

Azeral had appeared behind the Blastoise and shot a confusion right at him, since she was behind him it didn't even notice her and was hit by the attack, lucky for her she was able to confuse the Pokemon and force it to start stumbling, as it was doing this the Gallade came in using his good arm to throw a punch right into the under stomach of the Blastoise, this sheer power sent the large Pokemon right into the wall.

The Gallade looked at the Pokemon thinking it was down when suddenly it got back up. "I threw all my power into that attack, is it because my arms broken?" He questioned as the Blastoise was still under the confusion effect, now was the time to strike.

Joey watched as his attack seemingly has no visible affect on the pokemon. "What?!" the pichu was a bit shocked. However the pokemon was now swaying slightly from side to side due to its confused state. Joey let out a small growl as he started rushing towards the pokemon. It was clearly open for attack as the pokemon seemed to have trouble figuring out where he was at the moment. Joey noticed the gallade striking the blastoise with a large amount of force.

The pokemon had fallen and Joey slowed to a stop as he thought the fight was over. However the pokemon started to get up once more. "No...." he said silently to himself as he started picking up speed again. Sparks going flying as he ran. He started turning in a wide circle around the pokemon so he can get to its rear. He was preparing to get onto the pokemon and start unloading electricity into the beast.

The Blastoise had recovered and ran towards the Gallade before Joey could get around it, instead of moving the Gallade waited for the Pokemon to be right next to him, stopping the Pokemon with his usable arm he lifted the Pokemon up, then he vanished with teleport.

Outside the falls a loud sound could be heard, it sounded like water splashing and even caused the falls to slightly shake once whatever it was hit the botton of the water, afterwards the Gallade came back standing slightly wet.

"I threw him off the cliff, I'd be scared if he got back up again." The Gallade said as the Pokemon didn't come back into the cave, they were safe.

Joey saw the pokemon get up and charge the gallade. The gallade seemed to catch it with the one arm that doesn't seem to have been injured previously. At that moment, the two vanished. Shortly after he heard a crash from outside the roaring waterfalls. This seemed to startle the pichu momentarily.

Then a little bit after that the gallade returned. Seeming to be completely soaked. Joey could only guess that he teleported it above the waterfall and threw it.

The gallade mentioning what he had done confirmed this thought. It then made a comment about it getting up again after being thrown again. Stating that he would be afraid if it did that.

Joey shivered slightly at the thought of the pokemon coming back from being thrown off the cliff. "uhh... Yea..." Joey said rather plainly. It was still a bit shocked at what had happened... "Ummm, any idea's what is going on?" he asked the two.

The Gallade waited for a moment before speaking getting his thoughts in order. "That Pokemon was part of my group, i was supposed to escort him to Grassveil, we came all the way from Rainfront and he showed no signs of, whatever this is." He said, he lost the Pokemon for a few minutes then when he found him again the Blastoise got a cheap shot in and wounded him.

"I forgot to say, Name's Shi." He said looking at the two, mostly Azeral though this could be excused as to them being the same evolution line. "What are you two doing." He asked prompting Azeral to answer.

"We are explorers here to find something for someone, it's in the ruins ahead." Azeral said forgetting to say her name.

Joey listened to what the Gallade had said. If that pokemon that had attacked them was originally being escorted by the Gallade... Then why would it attack him... These thoughts confused Joey for a moment and then he thought about the sky. Then the gallade had a question for the team... Asking what they were doing here. Azeral responded, stating that they were on a mission to find something for someone.

From what Joey could tell, the answer would suffice. The pichu simply nodded in agreement with the Ralts. That was basically why they were here after all.

Shi looked at Azeral before smiling. "Your names Azeral isn't it." He said making Azeral look confused. "How did you?" She asked though Shi just smiled and pointed. "There might be more of those freaks, I'll wait out here and if any try to go into the ruins I'll stop them for you, and as a bonus I'll take you both back to town after you're done." He told them both.

Azeral turned and left knowing Joey would follow, she looked back at Shi before walking onward towards the Ruins.
