Proteus found himself in a large forest. He blinked, looking around. The forest seemed rather serene, but at the same time it unsettled him. Even his instincts as a gyarados seemed to be cowering in fear rather than the usual desire to tear every living thing apart. He swallowed, looking to the ex-fluffy before lifting her to level with his eyes using his tail fin to carry the umbreon now. She didn't seem to be too hurt, but that still did not excuse the tactic the glaceon used.
The shiny gyarados placed the umbreon on a large flat stone that looked as if it had practically been made to be a bed of some sort or perhaps a pedestal [s]to worship the ex-fluffy[/s]. Proteus looked back to the cave, wondering if he should go help out, but the appearance of Sova somehow carrying Kira stopped him. The Lucario seemed to be passed out along with some burns that seemed to be fading quickly thankfully.
Proteus glared at Sova, once he had set Kira down, Proteus used his tail fin to scoop up the Lucario and place her near Dusk. Once he was finished, the tail suddenly and swiftly moved to slam into Sova, punishing him for such a stupid idea. Proteus normally was not one to do such a thing, but that was by far the stupidest idea he had ever seen as his life as a gyarados. He could have killed her! He could have broken something! They could have done that in a much more peaceful manner!

| Dusk gasped as the Guardian stomped on the ground, creating a forceful blast of wind. She would have been flung into the forest like Kira if not for her conveniently being caught by a tree. In other words, she was slammed rather hard into said tree, instantly knocking her out. At least she didn't get much time to feel any pain, due to the instant lights-out. Being completely incapable of resisting, she was picked up into the air with ease. Not that she would have really been able to resist anyways.
Sova opened his mouth to reply to the beast, but was forced to stop as a sudden extreme burst of wind caught his full attention. Luckily, he wasn't just blasted off his paws and away like all of the others due to being significantly stronger. However, he wasn't able to completely resist the powerful wind, sliding back along the ground. Ice began to flash-freeze around his fur, but it was blown away by the wind before any actual armor could form. However, he wasn't worried.... until the attack seemed to change its purpose, beginning to lift everyone into the air. Thinking quickly, he created a glowing blue ball of mist in front of him and fired it into the air, creating a shiny explosion in the sky and resulting in an almost instantaneous Hailstorm in the area. Most of the hail spiraled down directly towards him in a Blizzard, fighting against the wind trying to push him into the air and keeping him on the ground.
This strategy was quickly taking its toll on Sova, both due to him essentially attacking himself and due to the energy it took to keep a Blizzard up. Acting fast, he cooled his lungs to the point of freezing his breath before blowing in the direction of the Guardian, creating a huge line of frost aimed right at it. It attacked first, he didn't have a choice!

| The guardian didn't seem to be affected by any of this at all, instead the wind intensified to the point where Proteus was lifted into the air and Kira joined nearby. Kira seemed to have been knocked out, and Proteus was still awake and freaking out. His gyarados instincts took over and he gave a bellow of both rage and fear that shook the ground beneath him as he flailed and attempted to fight back against the winds. He tried to do whatever he could, but he was helpless and ended up nearly smacking Sova with his tail on accident.
The hail was suddenly blown away, and the blizzard was turned onto Proteus. The gyarados quickly became a large hunk of ice.
When Kira awoke, she was at the doorsteps of the mansion. She rubbed her head, wondering what had hit her. She looked around, noticing Dusk and Sova nearby, and a large hunk of ice with a gyarados trapped inside laying on the lawn of the house.
"PROTEUS!" she cried in fear for her friend.

| As Sova's attacks were all merely blown away and he was lifted off the ground, he truly began to panic. This.... thing.... was not only outside the realms of his knowledge, but also outside the reach of his strength. "Too weak" was an understatement, this thing seemed more powerful than what could be justified by the word "mortal." It now made sense why it was called The Guardian. However, he wasn't going to give up so easily! While he had no clue what was happening to his allies around him, he knew one thing; He was going to lose this fight. The least he could do was at the very least injure this thing first, though! He channeled all of his currently abundant negativity into an orb of pitch-black energy in front of his face and attempted to send it flying at the Guardian. However, it merely exploded a few inches away from his face, finally knocking him out. How fitting, that it was his own negativity that rendered him unconscious in the end.
Dead? Definitely dead.... Sova could hear nothing.... No words, no sounds.... He didn't want to open his eyes and see what his current situation was, though. He was now a spirit, surely. He'd failed to win a fight, and now he was at the end of the line. He could feel the warmth of sunlight on him, which was.... surprising to say the least, as he didn't know spirits could feel things. He could also feel the ground under him. Finally, he heard a voice, which prompted him to open his eyes to see a rather barren landscape with a few familiar faces nearby. He looked behind him to see.... the Ruined Chateau. He wasn't dead? None of them were? "Why are we alive....?," he questioned, though it seemed Kira was the only other one awake, as Dusk seemed out cold and Proteus was.... yeah. Honestly, it wasn't a question he expected anyone to have an answer for, anyways.
Dusk awoke in the same situation as everyone else.... Actually, not really. She stayed passed out for a very long time. She'd been slammed into a tree, after all, and she was the weakest member of the group by a significant amount. This type of battle was just not something she was ready for. Then again, none of the group were ready for something like that. She doubted there was anyone who could possibly be ready for that. At least the Guardian had apparently spared them, though.

| Proteus remained frozen, unconscious within the hunk of ice.
Kira put her paws against the ice, looking at the gyarados trapped inside. She cared not for the explorers, but for the friend that had helped her get here in the first place. The surface to the massive iceberg like object was slippery, the sun was melting it ever so slowly, too slow for her tastes. She figured Proteus must have been unconscious within, for he could simply use Flamethrower to melt his way out of the ice. She stepped back for a bit, before rushing towards the ice and kicking it with a Blaze Kick. The hunk of ice didn't so much as move, but the heat of her flames made a nice carving in the wall of ice. That wouldn't work, it would take too long. Shattering the ice might risk harming Proteus. What was she going to do!?

| Sova watched as the lucario simply seemed to ignore him, or perhaps she didn't hear him. Either way, she seemed like she could use some help, especially since it was probably his own attack that'd ended up freezing Proteus. However, what was he supposed to do? If there was one thing he couldn't really assist with, it was ice. However, it seemed to him after watched Kira that the lucario was too weak to effectively deal with his ice. With this in mind, he decided to get up and go help. However, as he stood up, he finally completely snapped back to reality and the realization that he'd been absolutely trampled in a fight fell over him. He quickly began to feel like he was about to pass right back out, but he knew what this feeling was.... and it certainly wasn't going to be something he allowed to happen.
"Let me help," he offered as he approached the hunk of ice formerly known as Proteus. Honestly, though, it wasn't an offer. He would have loved to see Kira TRY to stop him.
Dusk remained unconscious, because seriously, she had just been slammed into a tree by a God.

| Kira huffed, "What could you possibly do about it?" she spoke, knocking on the ice to show how tough it was. She knew the glaceon was strong, but he was an ICE type. What was an ICE type going to do against an ice sculpture like this? "If you attack it head on we might just hurt Proteus," she explained to the glaceon, and would rather not have a confirmed deceased friend to add to her list of possibly deceased friends. The lucario crossed her arms, looking at the Gyarados. Perhaps she could go to the town and ask if there were any fire types that could help out? See if there's a friendly litwik or lampent inside? The lucario's mind ticked and ticked as it tried to find an effective solution.
Proteus meanwhile is still a Popsicle and cannot move.

| Sova's ears flattened and he gave a glare to the lucario as she seemed to be able to find nothing to say about his offer to help other than complaints. "I can tell you don't like me, but I'm sure you know by now that I'm useful. Considering it seems like he's you're friend, I would think you'd eagerly welcome the help in freeing him....," he replied in an agitated, but still fairly calm tone. "Or does he deserve it too?," he added on, mocking what Kira had previously said about him right after he'd selflessly protected someone. Sure, his main priority was helping Proteus at the moment, but that didn't mean he couldn't get a little payback for earlier at the same time
As he allowed the lucario a turn to talk, or just think about how perhaps her behavior today had been out of line, he dug through his bag for things that could help. Apparently, Kira hadn't thought to use something other than brute force. He picked out a few things to take out of his bag that he felt would help in freeing the gyarados; A seed and a sharp, silver dagger-like spike. In situations where he needed a physical edge that wasn't Ice-typed, Blast seeds and his Silver Spike certainly helped. Now he just needed to melt some weak points into the hunk of ice to weaken it, then he could break it away without hurting Proteus. Of course, having Kira be willing to follow his instructions and assist him would be helpful, assuming he could get her to do such a thing.
Dusk = rip. Maybe she'll wake up in a few years or so.

| Within the ice, Proteus suddenly woke to the muffled sounds of Kira and Sova. He couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but he had realized he was encased in ice. He utilized Flamethrower to free himself, before shattering the ice remaining with brute force.
Kira was ecstatic to see her friend free himself, she acted swiftly, wanting to get as far away from this explorer as possible. She invited Proteus along saying they needed to go and the large monstrous water beast, though confused, followed along. She couldn't stand those explorers, they must have thought they were all that because they were saying such big words about helping, but did they even mean it? No. At least, that was what she thought.

| Sova watched as the gyarados managed to break free of the ice encasing. He put a paw in front of his fae momentarily to block a bit of debris from hitting him, before watching the other two leave. It was a bit sudden and kind of anticlimactic, but he just shrugged. They were both fine, so they weren't his problem any more. He turn turned his attention to the umbreon, who.... seemed to be out cold. It was then that he realized he was going to have to carry her himself if he let the gyarados leave. "W-wait-," he began, but it was too late, they were already gone. "Whyyyyyyy meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?," he whined as he moved to pick up the umbreon, not really feeling like staying here any longer.
Dusk stayed unconscious for several hours, putting Sova through an oh-so-fun time of having to carry her and still showing no open gratitude for his consideration towards her. However, she would care.... as soon as she woke up. She just wouldn't be overly willing to show it.
