STORY STATUS: Bob had, apparently, given up on looking for his family a week ago. He's instead going to train until he either has people to help him, or is a butterfree. His desire for independence makes him prefer the latter, but he's not so picky as to reject the former.
Bob can't read with any real skill. He's learning - mostly by just studying newspapers and the like. Potentially he'll find someone to help teach him, too, though as of yet that's just a possibility.

As of the darkness' arrival, Bob has gotten himself impaled on a branch in the middle of the Shadowhue Forest. Hidon has come to save him, but it looks like they'll be beset by wild Pokemon.
