Kipo is very friendly, almost boisterously so, and relishes in spending his time joking (although all his jokes are beyond corny) and talking with other Pokemon. He tends to simplify his worldview in order to reduce stress and anxiety and to enjoy: to him, all Pokemon are good until proven otherwise, and no problem can’t be fixed nor disputes not mended by a good meal. He is also a good listener deeply interested in improving the lives of his friends and those around him. When it comes to matters of fighting, Kipo knows to contact the proper authorities to handle the situation, rather than attempt to do it himself.

Kipo’s overt friendliness, however, makes it easy to take advantage of him; he has on more than one occasion found himself swindled or cheated by unruly Pokemon, but he lacks the strong conviction to do anything about it. Some may see the Delibird as a treasured friend always prepared with a pick-me-up, while others may see him as a naive fool too stubbornly believing in good to make changes happen.

Kipo is more or less non-confrontational, always preferring diplomacy to battle. When cornered, he will in most cases try to escape but when his companions are in trouble, he will fight (only long enough to get them out of a tight spot. then he’ll encourage them to skedaddle).

» Likes:
Tasty foods - While Kipo considers himself a discerning food connoisseur, it really doesn’t take too much for his tastebuds to start tingling; his special favorites are spicy and sweet foods.

Other Pokemon - Kipo loves meeting new Pokemon and helping them with their problems; he enjoys conversation, both energetic and mellow, and is especially fond of cooking for them. Kipo loves kids most of all.

Good weather - In keeping with his life outlook, Kipo loves warm weather, nice breezes, blue skies, plenty of sun, and big, puffy white clouds.

Pokeflute music - While he can’t play it himself, Kipo likes himself a mean Pokeflute

Night - This is more or less because his Vital Spirit ability makes it difficult for him to get a good night’s rest

Confrontation - Kipo would prefer it if all Pokemon could just get along and often has difficulty facing up to the fact that bad Pokemon exist and other Pokemon need to do something to stand up to them.

» History:
Kipo was born in a small but tightly-knit community of Ice Pokemon on a remote, icy mountain. While he remembers very little about where he grew up, he remembers that deep in the heart of the mountain range was a small, summery patch of land strangely much warmer than the rest of the area, where a tree bearing the most delicious fruit he has ever tasted in the center of the garden. This fruit was the primary food source for the mountain Pokemon, and his memories are full of hazy moments of pure happiness and comfort). However, an avalanche destroyed the garden and the homes of most of Pokemon, sweeping away some and burying others, forever destroying the legacy of that merry family. Kipo, scarcely out of his egg, was separated from his mother, and for days wandered through the snow, surviving on the food stored in his tail before eventually collapsing. By sheer luck, he was saved by a passing Rescue Team, who dropped him off at the nearest town (which was many, many miles [or km, or whatever Pokemons’ unit of measurement is haha] away). From there, Kipo was shopped around between cities by local mayors in an effort to find his home until eventually he was found by his father, a Sneasel and travelling gourmet who had happened upon a map leading to the “best tasting fruit” many years ago, a map to Kipo’s home. The elder Pokemon of that mountain community had never accepted the Sneasel and never allowed him to taste the fruit, and so he had left dejectedly, losing the map much later. Kipo and his father, Koy, adventured for a while afterwards, trying out different foods, recipes, and cultures, and meeting all sorts of new Pokemon, always searching for a way back to the mountain. Eventually, Koy gave up and settled in a village with great Poke-ella (like paella). Kipo, on the other hand, and still being quite young, still hopes to one day find the mountain, deciding to use his cooking skill and love for helping Pokemon to open a business to fund his adventure.
