» Personality: Milt has a very upbeat, “happy go lucky” attitude, often being quick to finding the silver lining in any unfriendly situation. He will constantly go out of his way to help others, even if it means being late to a gathering or some other event. If any pokemon were to apologize for being a bother, he would immediately tell them that there was no need, and that he decided to do so of his own free will. If they were to do the opposite and call him annoying for butting, he would say it simply couldn’t be helped. This being said, Milt has a very hard time admitting when he needs help himself. It isn’t a matter of pride, but he just doesn’t want anyone worrying over him. It would take a few tries for him to actually admit it.
Amongst friends, Milt is always smiling and having a good time, whether they’re just loafing around, exploring, or anything really. He is quick to forgive them and would never give them the cold shoulder, nor would he abandon them in a time of need. Because of this, Milt sometimes acts like a second father of sorts to those he’s especially close to, taking care of them when they’re feeling down.
Milt believes that everyone is a friend before an enemy, and tries to get acquainted to everyone he meets. This does not make him naïve though. If Milt is aware that you are an outlaw or a ne’er-do-well, the most you’ll get from him is some sympathy. However, if he finds someone who would ever try and harm those around him, all bets are off. He would pull out all the stops, even going as far as putting his life on the line.
» Likes:
Protecting others: Now this may seem a little generic, but Milt takes it to a whole new level. He would jump in front of friend and take a direct attack from a Hyper Beam, and feel good about doing it too. He doesn’t enjoy the pain of course, but knowing that he can take a hit for others makes him feel good.
Keeping his iron armor clean and shiny: Even though he constantly gets himself dirty and beat up from battling, Milt actually takes great care of his iron armor. He won’t stop scrubbing until it shines and makes that squeaky sound when he rubs his foreleg against it.
Food: Does this even need an explanation? Milt loves food, and will always try something new if it’s given to him. The only reason why he hasn’t grown so fat over all these years is because of his active lifestyle.
» Dislikes:
Swimming: Milt hates and is actually afraid of swimming. Drop him in water that goes above his head and he’ll start to panic. He’s both a rock type and a steel type after all; he doesn’t really float. No seriously, he doesn’t float at all.
Having his allies faint on him: Milt hates watching an ally go down in the middle of a battle. Even if they have a Reviver Seed, he still considers it a failure on his behalf.
Being stuck out in heavy rain: Don’t get the wrong idea, Milt likes the rain: the sound it makes as it bounces off the leaves, and even the occasional boom of thunder. Being out in the rain is another story. Getting drenched down to the bone always makes him feel heavy, and wiping the water out of his eyes every few minutes gets annoying pretty fast.
» History: Milt was born in The Black Spear Mountain Range, to a loving mother and father, an Aggron and a Rampardos. His father acted as a guide for the area, helping others traverse the mountains and get from one side to the other safely. Depending on the trip, Milt’s father would sometimes be gone for a few days, but his work still inspired Milt. His dad seemed so happy when he was able to help others.
Milt and his friends were always allowed to play outside, but they were always told not to go too far into the mountain range, for that was where all of the feral pokemon resided. However, one can only explore the same area so many times before finding everything and getting bored with it. Milt and his friends decided to go a little deeper into the mountain range one day, but they lost track of time, and went a lot deeper than they originally intended. By the time they realized this and turned around to head back, it was too late.
A loud screech echoed across the sky as an Aerodactyl dove from the sky towards them. Everyone screamed and ran for their lives. Everyone except Milt, that is. When his friends yelled at him, telling him to run away, he only looked back at them and smiled, telling him that he’d be ok and would be right behind them. And so the little Aron faced the Aerodactyl, even with its Pressure weighing down on him.
His friends immediately ran as fast as they could back to his parent’s cave to tell Milt’s mother what had happened. She immediately rushed out of the cave, following Milt’s friends as they guided her to where he last was. They only got halfway there however before they saw a figure in the distance. Two figures actually: a Rampardos, and an Aron on its shoulder. Milt looked beat up pretty bad, but he smiled and waved from his father’s shoulder as he was reunited with his friends. His father was returning home from one of his jobs when he heard the battle and came to help. Even if Milt had been defeated, he was glad he was able to protect those he held dear.
It was that night that Milt realized what he wanted to do. He wanted to be able to help others, just like his father. Milt didn’t want to narrow himself to just Black Spear Mountain though. He wanted to help pokemon all across the world. His parents were a little worried for him, but they still acknowledged his decision to go out to the guild in Grassveil Town and form his own rescue team, wishing him the best of luck along the way.
» Other: Milt’s father cannot actually be met and hired in the Black Spear Mountain Range thread. The only time this will be possible is if Milt and whoever is with him go there themselves, and they won’t meet him all the time.
