PostSubject: The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great   The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great - Page 4 EmptyMon Mar 09, 2015 4:32 am

First topic message reminder :

"Right this way!" the drowzee spoke with calm enthusiasm, gesturing for the eeveelution to follow him. He made his way through the rough shack to the rooms where they performed the different services The DreamCatchers had offered. The glaceon was the first customer in months! Why was this service so unpopular? Was it too expensive? He wished he could have made it free, but he needed a way to pay Kyrie and support himself. The worries of the drowzee were masked by a cheerful grin.

"Just have a seat and we can begin. I'm going to have to hypnotize you, so don't be alarmed if you suddenly fall asleep. Some rather odd things may happen once you're asleep and dreaming, but just don't move and keep calm. I've done this plenty of times. Any questions or concerns?" he asked, after gesturing to a light purple cushion. Morpheus made sure to keep the cushions comfortable, so that the nervous clients would not get uncomfortable.

(Numbers: 18, 14, 8)

Confusion rushed through Sova as he looked back at the drowzee, then to the leafeon and absol once more. What was going on....? Were they trying to separate him from his way out of here?? He looked back to the drowzee before speaking in a quiet tone, "I'm not leaving them. Besides, in case you haven't noticed, they're our way up the tower."

With that out of the way, he looked back to the echoes of his parents and gave a confused look. "I know he's not me. He's a drowzee, first of all. I'm definitely not a drowzee, last time I checked. Aaand I'm pretty sure he's not interested in.... control of me? That'd give his business a bad rep.", he said in defense of Morpheus, becoming rather confused.
Of course the drowzee wasn't him, the accusation that Morpheus wanted control over him was absurd as well. If he were to control someone, the glaceon viewed himself as a pretty poor choice, given his mental issues, choice in friends and social standings. He wasn't very important and surely wouldn't be worth the effort.

Besides, these two weren't his parents, they had no right to try and boss him around. If they were going to try, he certainly wasn't going to let them succeed. He just couldn't understand what their reasoning was. Maybe they didn't actually have emotions despite it seeming so convincing, but they still surely had the capabilities to think logically. What point was there to trying to convince him his escort was out to get him?

"Drowzee? What drowzee?" The leafeon asked, "have you gone blind as well? Its HIM!" She pointed at Morpheus. A pillar erupted from the guard's pillar and collided with the tower that held the duo up. The ice spread across the open space, creating a floor once more.

Morpheus began to grow uneasy, "I don't think we have a choice" he spoke, however his voice was rather distorted. The reflection on the ice was that of a glaceon rather than the yellow and brown tapir. The tower rumbled again, and ice formed above them to create a rather tall ceiling.

Morpheus blinked, confused. What was going on? What happened to him?

Him? Him who? Sova found himself becoming even more confused. The leafeon was speaking clear language, yet the words made no sense. He was beginning to worry, what were they trying to tell him? Did they just want to confuse him? He found himself beginning to want to hit something out of frustration, as he'd grown accustomed to solving problems through force, but it seemed to him that force wasn't an option here.

He was so caught up in his own confusion, the drowzee's voice spooked him. Not just because he had zoned out a bit, but also because.... it sounded.... different. He looked back over to Morpheus and immediately noticed something wrong with the reflection. He directed his gaze downward a bit to see the reflection of.... a glaceon? He slowly backed away from the.... drowzee? Suddenly, he kind of wanted to just leave. This entire situation was eerie and becoming scary.

He had no clue how to respond to this, but tried anyways. "What's going on?"

10/10 would respond again.

Warning: Nightmare fuel for the young ahead

"Heheh...I see you've finally seen through my guise," a voice echoed through the cavern, "Hm...actually...no...this would be too easy...I'll just come on by myself."

Morpheus looked around wildly, trying to find the source of the voice. Suddenly everything went black, and they had reappeared in a cavern encased with ice. The leafeon and the absol seemed unfazed by it, and the glaceon was here as well. There was, however, another three bodies in the room.

Morpheus turned around, looking about this new area. He spotted a wall that seemed larger than the rest, with a leafeon and an absol next to each other, encased in the icy wall. Beneath them, a figure was walking in the ice towards them, somehow phasing through it. It looked to be a glaceon, but there was some rather strange oddities about it. Two lumps of ice protruded unevenly from the forehead above each eye, one pushing the head ornament of the glaceon forward and giving a rather unpleasant face as the protrusions seemed to bleed slightly. The mouth was weird, and was not the usual jaws of the eeveelution, but a mouth that clapped together, like a frosslass. There was a red bow tied around its mid-section, with what looked to be a cape of white cut into three sections sprouting from it and draping over the rump. The part of the glaceon's head ornament that draped towards the ground was bloody, and had hands with blue markings rather than the usual flat ribbons.

The bloody beast snickered, "Hello Sovaaa~ Nice to finally meet you-"

"Stay away from him!" the leafeon yelled, charging towards the glaceon-frosslass mutation. The beast glanced at her as she darted towards him. He turned quickly, the ends of his cape becoming icy daggers that cut into the grass type's neck. The leafeon didn't even get to yelp, and fell into a heap on the floor, before the absol charged in for revenge, roaring in what seemed to be rage. He was quickly silenced, as the beast's tail appeared, spiked like a mace with ice before turning once more and slamming it into the absol.

The absol collapsed next to the leafeon, ice encasing over them swiftly.

"Pests, i'm done with you," the beast huffed.

PostSubject: Re: The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great   The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great - Page 4 EmptyTue Mar 10, 2015 11:33 pm

Sova found himself standing idly in confusion as events unfolded around him. It was already confusing, but at the point that the abomination appeared, his mind all but stopped comprehending what was happening. He watched as his parents.... not his parent, he COULDN'T think of them as his parents, they'd just DIED. If he let himself think that they were real, that they had feelings, there was no way he could function enough to protect himself. But it seemed he'd failed, as he couldn't find the motivation to move. One again, he'd found himself being absolutely useless.

When was he going to start fending for himself? It seemed like his entire life, the glaceon had relied on others no matter how much he tried not to. It seemed like it was simply a fate he could not escape. Now he was going to sit here and hope this drowzee could save him, after having his parents die and being unable to do a single thing to help.... for the second time. He felt a liquid begin running down each side of his face. He was crying? Why?

It wasn't like his parents had actually died, it wasn't like he was in any real danger. Yet he found himself too upset to move, too upset to even show it on his face. He simply looked like a statue that was leaking water, with wide eyes and a slightly open mouth, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't. In fact, he didn't feel like he could do anything.

PostSubject: Re: The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great   The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great - Page 4 EmptyTue Mar 10, 2015 11:57 pm

The monstrosity laughed, nearing the glaceon, "Don't you remember me? I've even brought a friend of yours along!" the voice spoke, "She knew a place of fantasy / Where the moon and stars all dance / And everyone is happy / Through their fortunate luck and chance. / She knew a place of fantasy / Still now it stands above / Never to fall, it's a place of hope / With Laughter and Peace and Love."

The beast paused for a moment, before continuing;
"However, I know a place of fantasy,
Where the moon and stars all dance
And everyone is happy
Through their fortunate luck and chance.
I knew a place of fantasy
But now it reigns no more
Beyond repair, it's corrupted
By blood and malice and gore."

"remember us now friend? No?" the beast had a sadistic grin on his face as he recited the poems. In a matter of seconds the beast had been from the far side of the room, before moving to slam into the glaceon, using Ice Shard, the move Sova missed ever so much.

Morpheus panicked, confused by this entire situation. He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself. He activated his psycho cut once more, before charging towards the fake glaceon in attempt to attack, but the fake just moved out of the way before he could.

PostSubject: Re: The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great   The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great - Page 4 EmptyWed Mar 11, 2015 12:19 am

Sova managed to back away a single step before feeling the full force of impact, knocking him tumbling back to the ground, stopping after a few seconds of tumbling and sliding along the icy floor. Normally, this would be the point where he'd try to get back up in futility, only to be knocked down again, but today.... he just couldn't find the will to stand. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to fade out of consciousness, allowing the thing within him that he dreaded so much to take over and fix all his problems once more.

....
....
....
....

No voice in his head. No unwilling movements. No signs of the monster coming out. He felt like he was just letting himself faint.... then it finally hit him. He was technically dreaming. That.... thing was always separate from him within his dreams. The beast before him wasn't just some abomination that looked slightly like a glaceon.... It was the monster that plagued his mind. At least, somewhat. He didn't recall it having what seemed to be a froslass fused into it and he knew exactly what the froslass parts represented, as if the singing didn't make it painfully clear....

The glaceon opened his eyes, rolled onto his stomach and planted his paws firmly on the ground before pushing himself to his feet. The look on his face was not one of fear, shock or even simple anger. It was pure hatred. Tears were still streaming down his face, but he no longer had a look of horror. "Love what you've done with your self.", he finally spoke up in a very bitter and low tone as he glared at the beast, having regained the usual sarcasm in his attitude.

"Lets see how much worse we can make you look."

"Whaaat? You?" the monstrosity cried out with mock surprise, "Really now?" he chuckled. The tail gave a swish, and the beast glared at Sova with confidence, "Bring it b*tch," came the snarl.

By this time, Morpheus had managed to get close to it from behind. He tapped on the monster's shoulder, it turned to see just what pest was bugging him this time. His eyes met with the hypnotic look of a drowzee's purple glowing eyes, his arms moving and waving in a hypnotic manner.

The beast staggered as the Hypnosis affected him, it ripped its eyesight away before attempting to fire a small shadow ball at the drowzee. Morpheus had managed to move away just in time, avoiding the dangerous attack before using Pound. The beast was sent flying towards Sova, but seemed to turn this into an advantage as an icy trail followed from behind, preparing a Frost Breath just for Sova.

Sova gritted his teeth and growled in anger at this.... thing. His fur stood and froze as he prepared to attack with what ever he could. He didn't plan to run away and let someone else do his fighting for him. It didn't matter if he had to take a brutal attack head on, he wasn't going to pass up the chance to hit this thing as hard as he possibly could. He ran for a few steps to give himself a boost before taking to sliding across the icy terrain, taking to skating once again, planning to simply take the attack from the abomination and hit it back.... Then he remembered something. He had been reverted back to his original moves.... He had Detect.

He took a moment to focus before giving his full attention to the hybrid's attack. Just a moment was all it took.... he could see exactly what he had to do to dodge it and still hit back. He ducked as he slid on the ice, knowing if it tried to fire an icy blast at him, he could narrowly avoid it. Just before he reached the beast hurdling through the air to him, he spun around and lifted himself into the air by his front paws, aiming to slam his tail into the creature's lower jaw, effectively slamming its mouth shut so that it could not effectively counter attack.

The beast took the hit, about to growl in frustration but his jaws were snapped shut by the glaceon's attack. He landed on his paws, his jaw seemingly dislocated from the hit. It glared at the two, one of the hands that hung from the side of the head reached up weakly, touching the jaw before making a sickening crack, as it was put back into place.

Morpheus flinched at the crack, but swallowed his fear, this thing needed to go down. He didn't know what it was, but it certainly was not friendly. He rushed towards the monster, using Psycho Cut on it once more. The cut raked at the glaceon's sides, before it turned and blast him with a Shadow Ball. The drowzee cried out in pain, being knocked back quite a distance from the super effective attack.

He struggled up, and started to use Hypnosis once more, locking it into place and keeping it still.

PostSubject: Re: The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great   The Cold Shadow of Statues of the Great - Page 4 EmptyWed Mar 11, 2015 1:44 am

Sova would have smirked at the sight of this thing having so much trouble in this fight if not for the spell of seething anger he was under. He landed on his paws and wasted no time sitting around, immediately getting back to the skating movements that he was getting rather good at. Maybe it was his ice typing, but he seemed to have a natural talent for sliding along ice.

As the fiend was apparently locked into place, he spun himself around on the ice as he neared it, using the slippery terrain to speed his spin up. He flattened his tail against the terrain so that it was leveled with the ground as he swept his frozen tail under the beast's feet to knock it off its legs. Still continuing his spin, he ended it by lifting his front legs up and slamming his front paws into the thing's chest, latching it onto the process and moving closer to bite into its neck.

He didn't have the dark energy of the actual move to back him up, but his teeth alone were sharp enough to hurt. All he had to do was bite a little harder to make up for it. Or a lot harder. Maybe take a bite out of its neck. All he knew was he was going to bite as hard as he possibly could.

The beast was struck with the attacks, and noticed that the glaceon was going for his neck. He only smirked, as ice shot out around his neck like a spiky collar, protecting the weak area.

Morpheus attempted to move closer, having become too distant to use Hypnosis, but ended up slipping and sliding until he found a rough patch of rock that was not completely frozen over. He watched the two fight, trying to find something to do to help the client defeat this...thing.

He looked around, spotting nothing at first, but didn't give up. He looked to the pile of ice where the doppleganger parents had been, he had an idea, he was not sure if it would work, but it was worth a shot. He stumbled and slid his way towards the icy mound, his Psycho Cut ready to slash at the hill of ice.

Sova's mouth slammed down on the delicious icy protective collar, a few of the ice spikes tore at the inside of his mouth and he didn't get very far before releasing his grip on the enemy and recoiling away. He closed his mouth and gritted his teeth from the pain out of reflex, but this only made the pain worse. He instead opened his mouth and lowered his head a bit, letting blood drip out as he would likely have found difficulties in letting it all run down his throat. Choking, for instance.

Using his newly regained Detect to the fullest he could, heightening his sight and comprehension and shifting both towards figuring out ways to avoid being hit. For now, the only way he could think of was to incapacitate it using his own icy coat to protect himself. He wiped some of the collecting blood out of his mouth with his left paw, staining it, before running right back towards the thing. He turned to the side and focused what of the icy armor he could create on his side and shoulder, seeming as if he was aiming to ram its neck. In reality, he was preparing to duck and ram it in the chest the second he saw any sign of a counterattack, seeing this as the best way to avoid being hit while still being able to attack with the help of Detect.

The Frossceon cried out in pain only to have it cut short as the glaceon struck its chest. It retreated back into the walls, coughing and attempting to regain its breath. Once it was there, it began to prowl around, staying just within the walls but circling the two, trying to decide when would be the best opportunity to strike.

Meanwhile Morpheus was scratching away at the mound, trying different combinations of Pound and Psycho Cut to break what he hoped was still alive absol free of the ice. They were guardians, they didn't really actually die from what he knew, they just act it due to the belief of the tower and the client, right?

Sova made the mistake of lifting his head for a moment as he watched the vile creature flee into the walls. In a few seconds, blood began running down his throat and causing him to cough it up. The bleeding seemed pretty severe.... but this was a dream, so he would be fine when he woke up. Surely, he would be fine....

His rising anger got the best of him and he decided to speak, despite knowing it would worsen the pain in his mouth. "Come out and fight! You've been trying to ruin my life for so long and now you've got the chance of a lifetime, why're you WASTING IT HIDING!?", he spoke with a slur due to the inner mouth wounds and the persistent blood.
