Someone hidden among the bushes...

Raku trudged through endless thickets that happened to get taller and taller as he continued his travels. The electrike saved himself from the grassy ocean by finding an old, fallen Pecha tree and leaping onto its grounded trunk. He tilted his head upwards, inhaling the scents of the berry-infested forest. It was quite nice being alone after so much noise from Grassveil town, and he needed something to eat. With a grunt, the short and stout Pokemon dived right back into the intimidating patches of grass and nosed around for a berry to snack on, hoping not to disturb anyone around.

As Clara had walked along the path, she stumbled across a clearing, spotting 2 bird pokemon in the middle.

She froze in her place as they looked towards her. They had obviously heard her. "I... I was just passing." she went to turn around but noticed they immediately started flying towards her. "AAAYYYYEEEEEE!" she shouted as she started running back towards the direction she came from.

"Leave me be!!!!" She shouted as she was being chased by the pokemon. The noticed a seed on the ground ahead of her, she picked it up as she ran by and inspected it as she ran, hoping it was something she could use.

It was a blast seed. She immediately threw it towards the birds, exploding on the ground near them. It did not hit them nor scare them off.

((OOC Note: It is possible to have your character jump out and stop them she is heading back towards where she last saw him.))

As the electrike finished up his meal, a sudden kaboom came out of no where. Raku breathed in from surprise, choking on his half-eaten berry for a moment. With a series of coughs, he eventually forced it out, now shaky from the wasted energy.
"W-what was that!?" The anxious pokemon barked, small baby steps gradually recovering into a trot, then a run, then a sprint. As the wind blew through his sparky hide, his weakness from a small suffocation went away.
"Hah...Hah..." Raku huffed, tasting the spicy fumes of a used blast seed as he panted. "Hah, my favorite."

He figured it wasn't a good idea to investigate, but an uneasy feeling just continued to gnaw at his heart. While Raku was catching his breath, he jumped to hide in a small bush, hearing birds squawking and cooing just a few feet away. They seemed like trouble, but Raku believed he was able to handle these type of Pokemon...
"Hey there!" The lightning species shouted, shaking the last bit of tiredness out from his body as he revealed himself in front of the flying pokemon. They seemed to be after something else. Maybe another pokemon threw the blast seed?

As Clara continue to run she heard something rustle on the side of the path in a bush. She concentrated as she ran to sense there was a pokemon there. She couldn't concentrate hard enough though to sense its current emotions. She was too busy running from the birds who are now closing in.

As the pokemon came close striking her, she extended her shadow behind her a bit further and off to the side slightly and immediately vanished when it was within inches.

The other bird also missed because of being out of place with its attack. She then immediately bolted in the direction she just came from. She noticed the Electrike come out of the bush. Was it the same one?

Raku looked from side to side, seeing that the birds were being very jumpy and not responding to his loud barking. He looked over his right shoulder one more time before spotting that little Clara pokemon again.
"Oh, it's you," The electrike narrowed his eyes, turning away from the frantic scene. "Seeing you can fight your own battles, I'm off then," He muttered, leaping back into the same bush he hid in and nestling like a ducklett in the small, sheltering plant. Raku wouldn't ditch a pokemon in trouble, so instead of running off he peered through the foliage of the bush, observant. He wanted to give off the impression that he left, but this was simply to watch a fight.

The electrike wanted the small pokemon to barely sense him, so not a muscle was moved; not even the steady breathing of his lungs were insufferably noticeable.

Clara {4}
Clara ran past Raku after she had used her shadow sneak to get past those pokemon. She was just within earshot to hear him state that he could see she could fight her own battles. 'Thanks...' she thought to herself...

She had a little distance between the birds for a bit for her to concentrate on feeling for emotions in the area. Turned out the Electrike never left... It seemed to be watching her. She glanced towards the bush where he was hiding, 'I bet that is that Electrike...' she thought to herself.

She then focused herself to sense everything else around her.

The other 2 pokemon's emotions were those of anger. She could not think of what made them upset though... Feeling one's emotions is one thing. Knowing the source was another...

As she felt their emotions get closer she extended her shadow towards one of the nearby trees as they got close she immediately warped to it with the use of her shadow.

The followed her towards the tree. She prepared to use the move once more as they got close enough to where they would run into the tree.

She warped, they slammed into the tree only to get up again...

"What a bunch of dumb flyers," Raku mocked, inclining his head forward and past the leaves that hid his large head. He was eager to go out there and bark away more, but his mind kept telling him to stay put. Which was boring.
She probably senses me now, The electrike thought to himself before stepping out from the uncomfortable hiding spot and stalking over to the wobbling birds. He sniffed at them quickly before running behind the tree they had smashed into. Raku was curious whether they were after something or just trying to protect something. Ah, whatever, he should leave it to Clara to know what they're feeling.

Clara looked back to see the pokemon get back up. Before they looked towards her direction she used her shadow sneak ability and brought herself on top of one of the tree branches... She was starting to get tired from all the running. She fell back against the tree's trunk and was breathing heavily...

"Why.... Why -breath- do -breath- they just attack -breath- without reason..." she said as she was attempting to catch her breath... She was a good amount of distance from them. They probably did not know where she had went... If they did. She was not going to last much longer...

The electrike was just about to leave before seeing some shaking within the sheltering canopies of the trees. Raku really didn't want to stay behind, but he figured it would be best to help that Pokémon instead of leaving her in trouble.
"Alrighty, then..." He growled, lowering himself to the moist ground. His hind legs were about to burst with energy and fling him into the scene, but tactic was more important than wasting time and fainting in a forest. The bird Pokemon seemed to be recovering from Clara's Shadow Sneak, and ever so slowly they started rising once more to fly after her. Raku, after planning out a whole battle in his head, jumped farther away from the birds instead of flat out attacking them. They seemed a bit bamboozled, or confused, but the electrike used this as his advantage to unleash his Thunder Wave attack.
"That should keep em' down," He nodded to Clara, shaking off the dust that had accumulated in his pelt. Without another word, Raku jumped back into the undergrowth and started sniffing his way to Small Pond. Hopefully Clara would leave the Murkrow and Hoothoot be instead of provoking them longer; they were defeated, and there was no reason to hurt them again.

Clara just noticed the Electrike strike them with some sort of lighting attack. Clara watched the pokemon remain there. She was glad that they were not going to give her trouble anymore. She then looked towards the Electrike. It nodded to her and then ran off. She had no intention of following it... She has had enough trouble for one day. Even if that Electrike was just lending a hand. She did not feel safe at the moment.

As the Electrike ran off she simply collapsed against the tree's trunk with a heavy sigh. "I need to sleep..." she stated as she dozed off. The anger she sensed in those pokemon before seemed to have subsided so she felt no danger...

Raku has been running for awhile now. He didn't feel afraid at first when confronting those birds, but now the blackness of the night just started engulfing him in the feeling of tension and fear.
"Hah... Hah..." The electrike panted, paws continuously stepping in front of one another in a rapid pace as he tried to find his way out of the forest. His heart was pumping and his legs were aching; Raku wanted to stop but felt strong enough to find an exit.

When the moon was at its highest peek, the green Pokémon collapsed onto a soft grassbed and rolled on his back, squinting to see through the trees' large, open canopies. The light from the stars were beautiful, and he had wished he was at the Pond to look at the water reflecting the light.
Maybe I will just take a small nap... Raku told himself before falling asleep. He had hoped he was alone now, his sleep posture was quite embarrassing... Mouth open, loud snoring, paws twitching in unison with his dreams, spit rolling from his lips to the ground...

Raku had woken up after a mere half an hour doze. He stood up and shook his head back and forth, trying to fight to urge to go back to his peaceful slumber.
"What, why did I wake up?" The electrike pondered, eyes straining to see through the darkness. Another presence bothered him once again, and he could have sworn he heard something drop.

Clara slowly woke up. It was now nighttime... "Did... I just sleep the whole day off?" she said with a heavy sigh. She must of been really tired to have done that... She then concentrated to see if there was anything nearby.

She felt two different presences. The first one was actually in the tree with her... The other below her. The one below her emotions came off to her as if they were annoyed about something. The other one was one of joy?

She promptly looked towards the direction of the presence in the tree was. She was actually a bit surprised to see that an Aipom was within a few feet of her... Once she spotted it, it had jumped with joy as if it had found a new playmate... "EEEEE!" she squealed as she fell backwards off the branch. The aipom noticed her fall and promptly grabbed her hand with its tail paw (?).

The pokemon then threw her onto the next branch near her as the branch they were on fell to the ground.

The aipom seemed to be chuckling.
