» Personality: The spunky little Emolga named Oya is one who will always try to find a way to complete her task. She'll courageously charge into battle or gently care for those who're sick or injured. She tends to be a bit of a loud mouth, interrupting others whenever a thought comes to her little head, though, she is quick to apologize, becoming quite embarrassed about being rude in front of others. Around her friends and family, the little Emolga is generally kind, always smiling, and excited to exchange stories or play. Around enemies, though, she's a bit of a dominating presence, quick to stand over her enemy as if they were a pedastal to congradulate her victory over them.
» Likes:
Forests: Much like the one she grew up in, Oya greatly enjoys forests, quick to fly from tree to tree and generally act like a silly little squirrel.
Relaxing: After getting rid of all of her energy, the Emolga's quick to become a bit lazy and rest somewhere high.
Guilds: The idea of a place where Pokemon gather and help others or lock up bad guys always excited the Emolga, and she'd be quick to join one.
Food: A guilty pleasure of the Emolga, she's quite fond of stuffing her cheek pouches with food to nibble on while flying around.
» Dislikes:
Storms: Strong winds and loud noises tend to freak Oya out. Even though she doesn't mind lightning, there's little chance she could enjoy it when thunder roars out, hurting her ears and the strong winds blow her little body all over the place.
Outlaws: Well, some outlaws she may not care for, mainly those who steal or harm others for no reason other than to be a bad Pokemon. She's never known an outlaw who felt they had to do terrible things just to get by, so her reaction to those kinds of outlaws may be more worried for them than angry at them.
Smartasses: She's not fond of people who are constantly sarcastic to make fun of people. Sure a little sarcasm for a small joke is ok, but excessively doing it just gives her a headache since she's not entirely able to notice it.
Water: Due to an incident in her past, Oya's less than likely to get in any form of water deeper than she is tall.
» History: Oya was born to the strange pairing of a Meowstic and Emolga, especially since her father never came up into the nest her mother and her lived. It was strange, always having to look down at her father whenever he visited. He looked so small from way up in the tree, and sometimes she couldn't hear what he and her mother were saying when her mother would fly down. These meetings went on for over a year until finally little Oya was strong enough to attempt flying on her own. Her father hadn't visited all winter, probably due to the cold, and Oya decided she was going to fly down to the ground and wait for him there.
However, her species were at the mercy of the winds, and it just so happened that the day Oya took off from her and her mother's nest, the winds were a bit strong with the young Emolga. She found herself blown away, towards a large lake deep in the forest. It was there that Oya had her first and last mishap with water. She crashed into the lake, and with her fur now doing nothing more than soaking up water to weigh her down, the little Emolga found herself underneath the surface of the lake.
Then she suddenly found herself floating up above the water, a mysterious glow surrounding her. Looking up, the little Emolga found her father standing there, his ears up and glowing like his eyes. It was only for a few seconds, but it was enough for the poor Oya to never want to be near large bodies of water again.
On the bright side, though, the Emolga was able to have a nice, long walk home with her father, able to enjoy being with him after getting over nearly drowning. Her father explained many things, from his fear of heights to him being gone so long because he was on a mission. As it turns out, her father was an explorer, and while most missions he was able to complete fairly quickly, the one he took during the winter turned out to take much longer than anticipated.
It was then decided by the little Emolga that she too would become an explorer like her father, so she set her sights on the guild he said he had joined, Grassveil.
