| Serena grinned at Zorre. "I'm only a couple of levels off from evolving!" She cheered. The Snivy hadn't been this excited since joining the guild. The grass snake looked at Zorre and ran down the tree, waiting for him. Serena suddenly wanted to fight as many Pokemon in this dungeon as possible to prove her strength. Then again, that was a bit too much for her. | |

| Zorre looked down at Serena in confusion. He was familiar with the concept of evolution, sure. It was something all his siblings had striven for; his father himself was a Scizor, but this... concept of 'levels' confused the ex-feral pokemon. "Levels, is what?" he asked, leaping out of the tree to land next to Serena. | |

| "It's something we gain while getting stronger," Serena explained. "I read it in a book. It's easier to understand that way. Remind me to lend it to you sometime." She added. It was hard for her to explain levels altogether, and some 'mon were smart enough to write whole books about them. 'Every 'mon is different, like they always say.' The grass snake Pokemon thought. | |

| Zorre was now even more confused. "Book? Is what that?" He stared at Serena, feeling extremely stupid and not liking it one bit. He didn't really understand some of the concepts that civilized pokemon seemed to know inherently. He blushed again, hoping that Serena didn't think he was as dumb as he felt in that moment. | |

| "Books are things that are meant to entertain you and give information, for the most part." Serena said. She didn't care that Zorre didn't know much. It was just how he was, and she liked that about him. 'He isn't afraid to be himself, and he asks questions. That's a good trait.' The Snivy thought to herself. | |

| Zorre was still confused but decided to leave the topic behind. "Ok... on move we shall?" He indicated the forest path ahead. There were two branching paths just beyond the copse of trees. "Way which go you want?" he questioned Serena. | |

| Serena motioned to the right. "That way," She said calmly. She just felt that the right was the way to go. Shrugging, she walked in that direction. 'Just a hunch.... just a hunch.....' The Snivy thought. Why was she suddenly thinking such a thing? It wasn't a problem, so why think about it? She sighed but glanced at Zorre with a smile to tell him she was ok. | |

| Zorre nodded and followed Serena as she took the right path. He hoped that nothing else traumatizing would happen to the two of them on this journey. It was crazy to imagine that such a peaceful place could hold such dangers like that murkrow from earlier. They had been lucky for Zorre to have found that blast seed when he had. | |

| Serena sighed again. It was a huge wave of relief washing over her. If Zorre hadn't found that blast seed, they would both be passed out in the middle of Pecha forest. The scenario wouldn't have been good at all. Nobody would find them until they woke up, and that was a problem. Luckily they hadn't been caught in such a situation. | |

Zorre felt the awkwardness settle around his shoulders again as he followed Serena through the forest. He wondered what he could possibly talk about to his friend where he wouldn't sound like the complete and total idiot that he felt like. He looked up as the wind whistling through the grasses reminded him of the songs his mother would sing to him and his siblings when they were young.
"Sing, like you to?" he asked after a moment. He himself liked to sing, though he only sung in his feral tongue, when he didn't mess up the words constantly. | |

| Serena nodded. "Sometimes, yes." She said. The Snivy hadn't really thought about singing for quite some time.... At least she remembered it now. In this type of forest, it was possible to do so without being heard from farther away. Serena started singing a tune about flowers, trees, and forests filled with joy and happiness. This was one of the ones her mother had taught her before the grass type had left. | |

| Zorre stopped as Serena began to sing, completely entranced by the sweet tones emitting from the Snivy. He sighed softly as he listened to Serena sing, imagining the whole forest falling silent in reverence of her voice. "Beautiful, voice yours is, short falls description," he said to her. It was true, that beautiful could never describe the fire that her gentle voice ignited in him when he heard her sing. | |

| Smiling, Serena looked at Zorre and thanked him. "Thanks... I've been practicing my singing skills for quite a while," She said. It had been a while since she had last sang, but it felt good to exercise her voice. "We should probably keep moving, though." The Snivy added. It was starting to get eerily quiet, and the grass type didn't want to be assaulted by a bunch of ferals, even though this always happened in dungeons. It just didn't feel right to her. | |

| Zorre looked at Serena and nodded. He sure didn't want a feral pokemon to jump out at them. He sniffed the air warily as he walked forward, avoiding a hole in the ground. "Trip, can you, hole on this, careful!" He warned his companion, not wanting her to trip by stepping on the hole wrong. | |
