A 1/200 Chance Encounter—yeah right

Lapis really took her time with traveling. She was in no rush. Her parents wouldn't arrive at Rainfront for another month; she had plenty of time. As long as the Goomy made it to Grassveil and formed a team in time to greet their arrival, she was fine with however long it took her to make it there in the first place. 

She began thinking about someone she had met earlier. Every time she set out, she met a kind pokemon of a species she'd never seen before, and none of the same. The last one she met claimed to be a rare one of his kind, a different sort of color. He said that others of his species weren't as light as he. What he said kind of made Lapis curious. She died herself blue, so did that make her any more special?

"No problem. I'll find more." Ramira said. It felt better to give Lapis the berries, because she had seen the look of desperation on her face. 'That feels better than keeping them,' The Zorua decided. She noticed they were almost out of the shortcut, because she could see the light somewhat far away.

"Really, it's mine to help you now."
Even just having one of each kind of item was enough for Lapis. Especially in such an instance, she really had no choice but to donate some items to her acquaintance.

The only odd thing about the shiny Pokemon, was that even though she was searching for berries, she wasn't really looking for them. The most part, she focused on leading the way through the dungeon. She even passed by items that Lapis had a chance to spot. So why? What was the point in going through such a short dungeon and not looking for things?

Interrupting a thoughts, three Pokemon burst through the trees. "Aha! Now here's a challenge I needed." The Zorua grinned. Ramira used Dark Pulse on all three at once, sending them all flying back because of how much energy she put into the move. The Murkrow dive bombed her, and when it was close enough, Ramira used Scratch on it's face so it was temporarily blinded.

Lapis was shocked by this Pokemon jumping onto things immediately once more. She didn't even wait to see if Lapis was ready or anything—quite rude. But without saying anything, the Goomy merely sighed and watched the Zorua Attack the wild Pokemon. There was no use. The acquaintance would probably just K.O. them all, anyway.

The wild Pokemon must've noticed that Lapis was doing nothing, because the Nidorino charged up and attacked the Goomy with his horn. She slid back after the blow, and right into a snare. In the instant, the trap snapped and grasped her by the gut and swung her up and stuck. Lapis hadn't once open her mouth, but by her face, she was scared, surprised, and hurt. 

Maybe I was right about this Pokemon... She seemed all too prepared for Pokemon to appear, as if she knew, as if it were a plan... Maybe she set this up. Who knows what they're going to do to me now...

Lapis then lay in an exhausted state, unable to move or use any moves. She must've fainted by the two blows.

Noticing Lapis had been trapped by a rope snare, Ramira jumped up and cut the rope with Scratch. Jumping down, she waited for Lapis before fighting the wild Pokemon again. She had to let the Goomy do something. 'I can't keep being unfair...' The Zorua thought. 'I know I like challenges and have been on my own for a while, but I can't steal the show. So Ramira backed up, turned to Lapis, and said, "Your go. I gotta let you do something, don't I?" She managed a weak smile.

Lapis, upon falling out of the snare, slid out of the loop and slid away from it. The Zorua was awfully quick to jump to it... Again, as if she knew. 

Now the shiny was asking something out of Lapis, to battle. Now the Goomy was almost certain this fox was out to get her. She shook her head rapidly.

"Can't you see? I'm unable to use any moves. Those two were too much, and now I've fainted, I've got nothing left. I can talk, move maybe, but I can't do anything!"

'Crap..... Didn't notice that.' Ramira thought worriedly. Quickly, scooping up the Goomy onto her back, she raced past the ferals and towards the bright light. "We'll make it, Lapis. and if you're wondering, I didn't plan any of this." She explained hurriedly. If she stopped to talk, the ferals would tackle her to the ground. That wasn't good. The Zorua kept running until they reached the sunlight. They had made it to the guild.

That was most certainly both scary and suspicious. Once again, the Pokemon seemed to know her thoughts. Unless, she was acting a cover for the fact that it was planned. Pokemon tend to indirectly give away secrets.

The only proof against this theory was that Ramira brought Lapis to safety, rather than some creepy hideout where she would get interrogated and mugged. All the occurrences, however, really didn't settle well in the Goomy's head. But now Lapis was exactly where she needed to be, and now she needed to form that team she's been waiting to make. This would be a happy farewell--for Lapis anyway.

"Well, we're here. Honestly, that look on your face seems like you don't trust me. I can seem that way at first, but I just have fast reflexes. It was nice meeting you, though." Ramira said to Lapis. Well, they had reached Lapis' destination, and Ramira had other things to go do, like gather berries for herself. The special band on her foreleg twirled around her leg in the breeze once, and the Zorua smiled at the Goomy. She knew they might meet again.

Lapis flattened her antennae. Of course she didn't trust her. This insane exploration only resulted in Lapis's own demise, a fainting she would now have to either sleep on or eat the new berry, bringing it no use. The berry... Perhaps this was all revenge for Lapis's decision to keep the berries Ramira snatched?

It was all the more believable because the Pokemon was shiny. It was coveted, and almost anyone would follow a shiny's directions, especially inferior wild Pokemon. Either way, it was finally over, and now Lapis was stuck alone again in a town she had just reached.
