| Akuroma panted as he entered the cave, sweat dripping off his face as he finally escaped the harsh sun of the desert outside. "Go to the desert, he said. You'll be fine on your own, he said. Bah, this place is worse than anywhere else I've been before," Akuroma muttered to himself. He had no idea why he decided to listen to the librarian of the Grassveil. Despite his great knowledge, Aku had a feeling the Pokémon hadn't traveled much since his days as a young explorer. The Kirlia certainly didn't feel as if he were going to be fine, with how parched his throat was and hot his body felt. He sat down in the shade of the cave, taking out a Sitrus berry and quickly chomping down on it, drinking up the juices inside to relieve his throat.

| It had been a while since the Gengar had last felt this exhausted. Not many Pokémon even knew of the existence of this cave in the middle of the Scorchfall Desert due to its remote location and the neccessary travel through quite the arid region. It was even worse for William than it was for most Pokémon as his body acted as a natural heat sink and thus managed to accumulate even more heat than those of most other Pokémon. Probably the only Pokémon that were at even more of a disadvantage were Ice types. And thus he was quite relieved when finally the Sandstone Cave appeared over the horizon. Its shade promised relief from the blazing sun and maybe even a few as-of-yet unknown treasures. Hopefully. But he wouldn't get far in the sorry state he was in at this moment. Three Oran Berries ought to take care of that.

| Akuroma tossed the core of the berry onto the ground before looking back out to the desert. He'd be insane to go back out into the heat. Perhaps the Kirlia could explore the cave until dusk, when the desert was at a much more reasonable temperature. Pulling another sitrus berry out and munching on it, Akuroma continued to stare out onto the desert until a dark figure began to appear over the wavey horizon.
It was difficult to tell, but he was sure he'd seen that Pokémon before, but where? Akuroma frowned to himself, squinting his eyes to try and see the figure better, but the heat of the desert was so bad it obscured almost everything out in the blazing sun. The figure was heading for the cave, though, so Akuroma would know who it was soon, but then the question would be if it was friend or foe.

| A wave of cool relief washed over the Pokémon of shadows as the scorching sun disappeared overhead, obscured by the rocky ceiling of the cave. It obviously was much darker than the surrounding desert but as soon as his eyes adjusted to the darkness - this William knew - he shouldn't have much of a problem with seeing even in the deeper darkness. While it came with quite the negative image in the public eye, the Ghost type had its advantages. But as of now his eyes still wre accustomed to the bright sun outside and so he wasn't able to discern much in the deeper confines of the cave. Something was there - someone. But who? And what were their intentions? Hopefully William wouldn't have to get into a battle right away. | |

| Akuroma watched the figure carefully until he was able to tell it as the Gengar he had traveled with in Scorchfall Desert. "William?" Akuroma asked. The Kirlia raised his hand up before it sparked into green electricity, covering himself and the walls of the cave in an eerie, green light. "What're you doing here? And where's Sova? Aren't you his personal body guard or something?" Akuroma certainly didn't expect William here. Though the Ghost type was powerful, he seemed cautious. Perhaps that was just with the Eevee around to protect, but either way, Akuroma was glad to have a powerful ally be with him. Convincing the Gengar to explore the cave with him until nightfall shouldn't be too difficult with how hot it is outside, at least he hoped so. - Dracorexion carried out 5 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| "How do you know my name?", a surprised Gengar asked into the darkness. But then the memory of the Kirlia's voice resurfaced in the Ghost type's mind. "Akuroma, is that you?", he asked, probably even more surprised now. And then the Ghost type chuckled. Akuroma saw him as Sova's bodyguard? Well, considering the events of late that description wasn't quite that inaccurate. "Where he is - I have no idea. That little guy always runs from one danger to the next. I was just following him around to make sure he doesn't get himself hurt too much. With that guy you can never be sure. We aren't affiliated." Why was the Psychic type even here? Maybe he was hoping to visit the temple in the desert and was simply resting here. It certainly was a mystical building fitting for a Psychic type. "I'm just here out of boredom I guess. Missions haven't been that plentiful lately." - Savato carried out 5 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| "I see, I see. I suppose it's a good thing. Few missions means few trou-" the Kirlia was cut off as a Krookodile burst our from the sand underneath him. The Dark type threw him up into the ceiling of the cave before grabbing a hold of his leg with its large mouth and tossing him at the Gengar. Akuroma groaned loudly from the power of the Krookodile's attack, the suddenness of it catching him extremely off guard.

| Luckily the Gengar's spectral nature allowed for the Kirlia to pass right through him. Not so luckily they now had an enemy to take care of. "Please never again mention how there is little trouble.", the Poison type commented dryly. Now - it was time to do battle. Focussing the deepest, darkest, blackest thoughts from the gruesome corners of his twisted mind, William charged up a Shadow Ball, the sinister energ- Suddenly a strong pain flared up in the Gengar's back. Maybe it was due to the Bastiodon that had just charged straight into him using the move Iron Head. Just why did he run into so many Pokémon lately? It didn't matter. Right now they had to take care of their assailants before they themselves would be taken care of. As the Bastiodon charged forward further, the Gengar still stuck to the front of its face, they came crashing straight into a wall. While it didn't hurt either of them significantly, the force of impact caused for the wall to crumble, revealing an alcove behind it... - Savato carried out 5 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| Akuroma groaned as he stood up, "Yeah, yeah, I know I jinxed it." When he was finally stood up, he popped his shoulders and neck a bit. He then looked at his attacker, the Krookodile smirking as its teeth grew larger and began to glow, the Dark type ready to use Crunch on the Kirlia. "Oh wonderful. Hey William, mind switching opponents? I've got nothing to kick this Krookodile's ass," the Kirlia said as the Krookodile charged at him. The Fairy type waited for the Pokémon to get close before teleporting behind it, the Krookodile getting a mouthful of air as it tried to chomp at where Akuroma had originally been. Akuroma looked over at the Bastiodon, he was beginning to back away from the wall. Akuroma smirked slightly, pulling a sitrus berry out from his pack before his arm began to glow green. Swinging his arm forward, Akuroma sent a wave of psychic energy at the Bastiodon. The behemoth of a Pokémon turned around as quickly as it could, fuming with rage from the attack. "Here ya old sack of bones. Want to get revenge on me? Then you better hit me hard or you'd be doing nothing," the Kirlia teased, sticking his tongue out at the Bastiodon. The Large Pokémon roared out, charging at the Kirlia with an Iron Head while the Krookodile turned around and began to charge at the small Fairy type. Akuroma stood there, silently eating his Sitrus berry as the two Pokémon drew closer and closer. Then all of the sudden he was gone, and the two Pokémon slammed into each other, dealing massive damage to each other until finally both slumped onto the ground, knocked out. "Well that was pitiful. For Pokémon that could look like they could battle against each other for ages, they couldn't even handle one attack from each other." As he spoke a Golett peaked out from around the corner, "Oh wonderful! You've dealt with those bullies! Those two have been terrorizing the cave for a while now, and people haven't been able to visit or leave because of it! Please, here take these items. I found them here in the cave when I had visited it oh so long ago. Now I'm finally free!" With that the Golett gave the Kirlia and Gengar several items before running out of the cave jumping around in joy. Akuroma watched the Golett run off, taking yet another Sitrus berry out of his bag and munching on it, "Um... your welcome?"(44/37 energy) - Dracorexion carried out 5 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| "Uh...that was...surprising.", was the only thing the Gengar could think of to say. And while he was quite impressed by the Kirlia's combattive abilities, he sadly had to admit that there wasn't much he would have been capable of doing against the Krookodile either. Dark types had always been the Pokémon William had had the most trouble with. And since he hadn't yet had the chance to learn a move of the Bug or Fighting type, he usually only had the options of evading them, using Hypnosis and Confuse Ray or his allies to his advantage. But...luckily they wouldn't have to take care of that now Soon however he should try to acquire a way to deal with Dark type adversaries. - Savato carried out 5 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| Akuroma shrugged as he began to walk deeper into the cave, "Either way, it looks like we'll be spending the day here unless we want to go out into the sunlight again," he said as he peered into the darkness. "Can't see a thing down there." Akuroma said before he sat down near the edge and began to eat a few more Sitrus berries. "Gah my leg hurts. That Krookodile bit hard," he said as he finished the last berry. He then went back towards the darkness, raising his fist up as it sparked in electricity to light the cave up in an eerie green glow. When the light appeared a couple of Shieldon and Anorith scuttled away, hiding from the Pokémon that just defeated the Krookodile and Bastiodon. | As a light suddenly appeared in the darkness, the Gengar had to lift a hand in front of his eyes. Since he could easily see in the darkness, the light took away his vision momentarily. "Next time warn me before you do something like this.", the Ghost type groaned, his eyes burning with the sudden sting of luminescence. "Anyway, if your leg hurts then maybe we should wait here close to the entrance instead of proceeding further and putting it under too much strain. Especially since it would put you at a disadvantage in combat. Or do you just want to move around with Telekinesis or something?" Even though he hated to admit it, the Gengar still was feeling rather weak. Was he getting sick maybe? Hopefully Oran Berries would do the trick. - Savato carried out 10 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| Akuroma looked over at the Gengar, "Sorry, I don't have night vision like you," he said before turning his head back deeper into the cave. "Besides I'm fine now, those Sitrus berries fixed me up fine." With that he began to travel deeper into the cave, several more small Pokémon running off, including an Anorith, a couple of Mawile, Nosepass, Sandile, and four Shieldon. Two other Pokémon didn't seem quite as scared off. A large Golurk and another Bastiodon watched the Gengar and Kirlia cautiously, though they didn't attack right away. "Sheesh, these guys seem really scared of us since we defeated those last two Pokémon. Maybe you should show them your explorer badge? They might calm down," Akuroma suggested to the Gengar. - Dracorexion carried out 10 launched of one Sandstone Cave :

| The Kirlia was apologizing for something. But for what? William couldn't understand him anymore. It sounded like everything the Psychic type said was filtered through half a pound of cotton first before it reached the Ghost type's ears. And...was it getting hotter in here? It was almost as if they weren't standing inside the cave but outside still, the sun blazing above. And then there he saw something moving from the corner of his eye. Were those Pokémon? Items? The Gengar couldn't tell anymore. Everything seemed to blur. And an intense dizzyness was overcoming the Poison type who felt like he was about to vomit. Had he fallen ill due to overexertion from exploring? Was it due to the sun's scorching heat? William didn't know. He simply fainted.

| "Hey William, think we should try and head out? William?" Akuroma asked before turning around to find the Gengar unconscious on the ground. "Well fu-ah!" Akuroma was cut off as he was grabbed by the Golurk. The large Pokémon threw the Kirlia deeper into the cave, the smaller Pokémon slamming into a wall before landing on the rough ground below. Groaning, Akuroma shakily stood up an looked around three Pokémon stood before him, which one glowing eerily in the darkness, revealing themselves as Golurk. "Wonderful," he said as his arms began to glow with a psychic energy. Swinging them forward, Akuroma sent out the waves of psychic energy before teleporting away fro the three large Pokémon. He reappeared by William, "William, get your ass up, we've got problems," he said as he fumbled around in his bag. Thankfully he had just what the Ghost type needed, a reviver seed. Stuffing the seed into William's mouth, Akuroma then turned to see the Golurks facing him with their fists gone. Instead the three Pokémon had hollow arms aimed at him, with the bright light of a Flash cannon pointed directly at him. "Crap, crap, crap," Akuroma said before grabbing a hold of William and teleporting them out of the way of the powerful steel type attacks.
