PostSubject: Definitely Not Candy Crusher   Definitely Not Candy Crusher - Page 2 EmptyThu Oct 02, 2014 5:45 pm

First topic message reminder :

Akuroma yawned a bit as he made his way to Blackmist Mountain. The sun had yet to rise over the mountains and the Kirlia had spent much of his night planning out this hike through the dungeon. Surprisingly, Akuroma rarely approached the dungeon. After his two failed hikes through it with Enzu the Pawniard and Cracker the Aipom respectively, he's been avoiding coming back to it as much as possible. Sadly he could no longer do that. The Black Spear Mountain Range was showing less and less interesting finds thanks to him living there and he still felt that he was nowhere near ready to tackle the Obsidian Cervice.

So here he was, standing in front of Blackmist Mountain. At least this time should be easier than the last two with him being evolved. Perhaps not having someone around that he'd have to watch out for would provide better results. Not to mention he'd have no need to share anything he might find on unsuspecting Pokémon on the mountain. With another yawn and a small stretch, the Kirlia began his hike up the mountain.

"Hey, candy is candy. It's good no matter where it's been." Brian said, happy with his find. However, this happiness would be put aside as he turned to see the researcher get hit in the head by one of many rocks in an oncoming rock slide. Brian immediately jumped to the side to dodge the rocks, but that wasn't the end of their problems. Another one of the big hyena Pokemon attacked the researcher, causing the two to roll down the mountain a little bit. He could hear the scream of pain coming from and knew he had to do something.

"Get away from here!" Brian yelled as he lunged towards the hyena Pokemon as his fist ignited once more. Just like with the previous wild Pokemon, Brian smashed the hyena right in the face with his Fire Punch, sending it flying back. Once again, the Pokemon fled after taking the damaging hit in a cowardly display. However, Brian was more focused on how the researcher was doing. "Hey, are you okay?"

Akuroma groaned as he got up, his hand clasped on his shoulder. "I'm fine," he said as he walked past the Chimchar. Carefully using his other hand, he reached into his inventory and took out a Sitrus berry, munching on it as he climbed. He sighed with relief as the pain in his shoulder subsided, allowing him to let go of it. As the rock slide subsided, Akuroma noticed a pair of seeds now on the ground, probably carried down by the rock slide. Waiting for the last of the rocks to travel down the mountain, Akuroma went and grabbed the seeds placing them in his bag before continuing up the mountain

"Glad that you're okay. That didn't look like the most...painless of things." Brian said, thankful that the researcher wasn't seriously injured. He knew that exploring a place like this wouldn't be nearly as much fun if you were struggling to move. Thankfully, the researcher seemed to be fine thanks to that berry.

"Oh yeah, I just realized that I never told introduced myself. My name's Brian. Nice to meet you." Brian said, his warm and innocent smile returning to his face as he extended his hand for the researcher to shake. Now that all of that craziness was out of the way, he finally had a chance to get to know his new companion.

Akuroma turned back towards the Chimchar as he spoke, frowning a bit when he held out his hand. After a second of thought, Akuroma took the Chimchar's hand and shook it. "Akuroma," he said before continuing up the mountain yet again. Hopefully there wouldn't be another attack or rock slide. At least the rock slide did uncover some slightly buried items, as Akuroma found another TM and an oran berry. After dusting off the berry, Akuroma bit into it, the pain in his shoulder finally disappearing completely.

"Akuroma huh? That's a weird, but cool name. Well, like I said before, it's nice to meet you." Brian said as he shook his hand back. It always brought an even greater smile to his face when Brian made a new friend. Just after they finished their handshake, a smaller version of that hyena Pokemon that attacked the two earlier ran up to them, seeming somewhat lost. Curious as to what it was doing here, Brian walked up to the lost Pokemon to see what was wrong.

"Hey, is there something wrong? Are you lost?" Brian asked, seeing if he could help the hyena Pokemon. Just then, a group of fairly large Pokemon could be seen running towards them in the distance. One with a bone in it's hand, one with insanely large wings, and another with incredible size. He didn't know if they were wild of not, but Brian remained cautious until he could confirm what they were after.

"Well I was born with it so why bother changing it," he said to the Chimchar before the Poochyena approached. Akuroma glanced towards where Brian was looking when he became tense, as if cautious. Seeing the large Pokémon approaching, Akuroma drew his arm back, a psychic energy forming around it as he prepared a Psyshock attack. At the sight of the Attack, the Tyranitar held his arms out for the other two Pokémon to stop, he himself slowing down as to not appear as threatening.

It was then that Akuroma noticed the explorer bag and badge on the Marowak, showing that the trio were an Exploration team. Akuroma kept his guard up though. He doubted he'd be recognized for anything, since the exploration team he and Mirage stole from in Shadowhue never even saw him, but it'd be better if he were prepared for the worst.

The Tyranitar approached the small trio of Pokémon carefully, "Hey, hey now. It's alright gal, we're on a mission to rescue that little pup there," he said to Akuroma, pointing at the Poochyena. At the mention of being called a girl, Akuroma grinded his teeth together, "I'm a male," he growled at the Tyranitar, doing his best to keep from firing the Psyshock at him anyways.

The Tyranitar blinked and smiled sheepishly. "Ah, s-sorry, it's hard to tell with Kirlia. Ya know how feminine your species is, right?" the large Pokémon said before yelping as the Psyshock Akuroma had been charging flew just inches from hitting it in the face. "A-alright, alright, sorry, mind if we get the Poochyena and send it back home?"

As the group of Pokemon approached them, Brian turned to see Akuroma using that same flashing move that he had seen before hand. It seemed as if the researcher was being cautious about these advancing Pokemon just like he was, though even more so as an attack was already prepared. However, they stopped as soon as they got somewhat close, and on closer exception seemed to be an Exploration team. He then heard Akuroma's response to what the Tyranitar said, and realized that the researcher was in fact a male. Brian had actually thought that he was a female mainly from the appearance, but now he felt a bit bad about getting his gender mixed up.

"Um, yeah, don't go calling people by the wrong gender." Brian said, defending Akuroma, though mainly doing it because he hadn't noticed his gender himself. However, just after he launched his flashing attack, Brian could see something flying in a circle above the group. He couldn't tell what it was from there, but his attention was taken away from that when he saw some kind of bone heading towards Akuroma. "Watch out, flying bone!"

Akuroma disappeared in a flash of green light, only to reappear above the exploration team's Marowak, his arm swung back with the green glow of Psyshock beginning to surround it. However, before he could release the energy on the Pokémon, a second Marowak from within the mist charged at him, using Skull Bash on the Kirlia. The Marowak then turned on the other and slammed its bone against the ground type's skull, sending it's fellow Marowak back.

As the fighting began, the flying Pokémon tilted downwards, aiming for the largest target as it flapped its wings forcefully, the mist surrounding the Pokémon blowing away from the flying Pokémon's Defog attack.

Right before the bone was about to come into contact with Akuroma, he suddenly disappeared in a flash of light and reappear somewhere else. Where he specifically went was a mystery to Brian as the group was surrounded by the thick mist of the mountain. Regardless, Brian was still surprised at what he thought just saw. Ether Akuroma knew some kind of move that was foreign to him, or he was incredibly fast. Either was impressive to Brian anyway. This would be the last thing he would see for a while though as the thick mist surrounding him prevented him from seeing the struggle he was hearing. Despite wanting to fight himself if there was a fight, Brian was completely in the dark...or blackmist in this situation.

"Man, this mist is getting in the way. I need to see what's happening." Brian said, trying to see through the mist, but having no luck. However, the mist suddenly began to go away, as if being blow by some whirlwind. This proved to be true as when the mist dissipated, Brian could see a flying Pokemon above them, looking like it was using some kind of move that he decided must have been used to get rid of the fog. He could tell that it was wild, so Brian immediately shot out a flurry of Embers at it, causing the Pokemon to fly a bit more erratically as it was slightly damaged.

Akuroma groaned a bit as he pushed himself back up from the ground. As he looked up, he saw the two Marowak beginning to fight while the Aerodactyl took off, aiming to attack the flying Pokémon that could now be seen as an Archeops. Akuroma popped his neck a bit as he began to walk towards the two Marowak, able to tell his target from the explorer thanks to the explorer wearing an exploration bag. Akuroma's arms began to glow with a green psychic energy, the Kirlia preparing his Psyshocks to take on the skull clad Pokémon.

As he drew closer, he went from a walk to a full on sprint, green light trailing behind him before he swung his arms forward, launching the pair of Psyshocks at the Marowak. The Explorer Marowak noticed the attack coming and jumped back, leaving the other to take the full force of the psychic attacks. The two attacks slammed into the Marowak's back, the resulting explosion sending black dust into the air around the three combatants.

Else where, the Tyranitar turned to see his partner and the Kirlia fighting the wild Marowak. He then turned back towards the Poochyena and Chimchar. The large Pokémon reached down and picked up the Poochyena, tucking the small Pokémon under his arm. "Think you can help me protect this little guy?" the Tyranitar asked the Chimchar.

As soon as Brian could see past the dissipating fog, his eyes immediately became fixed on Akuroma and the two bone wielding Pokemon battling each other. He was in complete awe at what he was seeing. Akuroma's moves and tactics were so precise and calculated, while being incredible fierce at the same time. Brian assumed that he had a lot of battling experience due to being an evolved Pokemon and all, but it still amazed him at how well he was battling. It made Brian want to fight against Akuroma at one point just to test his own skills against him, but right now he had to focus on the task at hand. Taking care of these wild Pokemon was the top priority. Especially now that the large explorer was asking him to protect the small hyena. He couldn't look bad in front of an explorer.

"Sure. I'll take care of these guys and make sure he doesn't get hurt." Brian said, smirking confidently as he prepared himself to charge into battle against these wild opponents, ready to deal with anything that came in his way.

As Akuroma and the Marowak explorer fought against the lone wild Marowak, the two flying Pokémon collided, each Pokémon biting onto the other with great force. The Aerodactyl bit into the Archeops with its jaws frozen, the larger Pokémon using Ice Fang on the smaller. The Archeops responded with a cry of pain before biting into the Aerodactyl with Crunch.

As the fighting continued, an Archen slowly began to sneak up behind the Tyranitar before it jumped up, its wings gaining a metal shine as it tried to use Steel Wing on the large Pokémon.

Back to Akuroma and the two Marowak, Akuroma stepped back for a bit and quickly at a sitrus berry to heal before he charged back into battle, using Psyshock.

Before he could get too far away from the large exolorer, Brian turned around to see a smaller version of the flying Pokemon coming up behind him. "Watch out behind you!" Brian shouted to alert the explorer of the wild Pokemon sneaking up on him. He turned around only to get hit by the flying type's shining wings right in the face. The explorer retaliated however, an orb of light blue energy forming at his mouth before getting blasted out as a beam like attack. Despite looking impressive, the blast only grazed the wild Pokemon's wing, freezing the part that it hit. The frozen part of the wing seemed to slow down the Pokemon's movements slightly, which gave Brian the chance he needed.

He immediately dashed back towards the two, wanting to keep his promise and support the explorer. He took a deep breath before launching a flurry of Embers at the flying Pokemon wouldn't be able to dodge in it's slowed condition. His assumption proved to be true as the flying type took the Embers head on, resulting in it flailing in the air to desperately get rid of the flames. In it's flailing, the heat of the flames melted the frozen part of the Pokemon's wing, giving it full speed once again. However, it wouldn't be given the chance.  By that time, Brian had jumped up and gotten right in the flying Pokemon's face with a Fire Punch coming right at it. The smoldering fist hit the wild bird directly, sending it flying back to the ground. "Haha, that's what you get." Brian said as he landed back on the ground, slightly disappointed that the battle didn't last longer. His attention would soon be shifted to a duo of Pokemon heading towards the group, one being another bone wielder, and the other being some kind of metallic Pokemon. "Watch out, more Pokemon on the way!"

Akuroma and the Marowak's battle was soon over, both Pokémon slamming a Psyshock and a Bone Club into the wild Marowak's face respectively, knocking the Pokémon out. The fliers' battle continued to rage on, however, the two Pokémon interlocking with fangs and talons digging into each other before they broke off to avoid hitting the ground. Akuroma looked up and grimaced. He wouldn't be able to get up there and use Thunder Punch on the Archeops, and trying to fire a Psyshock could very well hit the Aerodactyl, which wouldn't go well with the explorers. Instead he turned his attention to the Chimchar, who had just called out about more Pokémon. Yet another Marowak was approaching, this one riding on top of a Larion as if it were its steed.

Not wasting any time, Akuroma began to fire a flurry of Psyshocks at the pair of Pokémon, the Marowak beside him using Bonemerang as well. The attacks hit their mark, a large series of explosions from the Psyshocks slamming into the two Pokémon and the ground around them following quickly. The Bonemerang disappeared inside, only to reappear with the wild Marowak flying out of the smoke cloud left, already knocked out thanks to the flurry of attacks.

However, the Larion seemed to have felt no effect, charging out of the cloud with no loss in speed, heading straight for Brian and the Tyranitar.

Brian was about to go help Akuroma fight off the Pokemon he was facing, but he saw that it was already defeated and that he was already going to fight off the other two approaching wild Pokemon. Akuroma was firing out energy attacks rapidly, like some kind of rapid fire cannon. It proved to be very effective as the bone wielding Pokemon was already knocked out from the flurry of attacks, though the metallic looking Pokemon was still charging towards him. Brian had a plan for this however as he could see the bluish shine of the large explorer's Ice Beam, so he knew what he had to do.

Brian waited until the metallic Pokemon was about to charge right into him before jumping up to dodge the assault. With the Pokemon being so close now, there was no way for it to escape the explorer's Ice Beam that he now shot out. It hit right on target, freezing the Pokemon in place so that it wouldn't move dealing some damage too. With the metallic beast immobilized, Brian's fist ignited once more as it slammed down onto the Pokemon with his Fire Punch. With the combination of the Fire Punch and the Ice Beam, the metallic Pokemon was knocked out.
