first step on the infinite stairs of life

not one day has passed without her think of joining the guild of grassveil, and now she is just one step closer to accomplishing  the first step of her dream. now a few steps forward and her long and painful journey...''father i'm coming for you'' she enters the guild masters quarters with a confidant look on her face. ''Heya im Marie, Marie the Happiny , Nice to meet ya''. she can't stay in place due to all of the excitement. she really hopes that this wont take long so that she could go and see Chie again

The guildmaster, who had been watering the many plants in her quarters up to this point, surprisedly turned around, not having expected for someone to enter her quarters without knocking.
As she did so, a small, pink, roundish Pokémon entered her field of vision, one she had never seen before to be exact.
"Hello, dearie. My name is Faye. It is nice to meet you as well. Now then, is there anything I can do for you, my dear?"
As she spoke, the guildmaster used her vines to set down the watering can she had been using as obviously the small Pokémon had something to do for her.

'' i want to join this guild '' she said as her eyes are full of hope and dreams ''and maybe create or join an exploration team'' she was looking at the pokemon ''aren't you a Meganium?'' she asked while playing with her hair. As of this moment her life changed forever.

The warm smile on the Meganium's face grew wider as she heard the news.
"That's great, sweetie! Please, take a seat. Would you like some tea? Oh and yes, I am a Meganium. I was the last time I checked at least."
What a wonderful occurrence this was! The guildmaster was always excited to welcome new members into the guild as this not only meant meeting a new friend but also that a Pokémon had decided to dedicate their life to exploring the unknown, discovering treasure and most importantly helping those in need and forging new friendships. Maybe eventually the guild would even be able to conquer whatever it was that had caused for the Mystery Dungeons to appear. But for now the Happiny had to be signed up.


(And then Gengar happened.)

She sits, ''i would gladly try your tea, Faye or should i say Future guild master'' as she smiled and starts to think ''should i join Chie's team or should i go on my own... though she didn't quite think about it she starts to play with her hair again ''Should i join Chie's team... Or start alone... sure i want to be friends with Chie and go on adventures with her but i dont want to keep her from going farther in life because of my goal... Finding my father

"Very well then, dearie.", Faye began to speak as she began pouring a cup of a fragrant, rosé-coloured tea for the similarily coloured Pokémon.
"Now then, shall we begin?"
After setting down the cup in front of the soon-to-be recruit on her desk, the guildmaster turned around, using her vines to retrieve a tome from the bookshelves behind her. Setting it down on her desk as well, the Grass type continued to speak:
"Don't worry, this should neither take long nor be difficult in the slightest. Now, your name I know already, so we can skip that part. The next step would be for you to choose a name for your team. If you haven't decided yet, then feel free to take as much time as you need."

she grabbed the cup of tea with her right hand and grabbed it like a civilised girl , the pinky always up and taking slow sips
''how about the name Star chasers, Team Star Chasers...Yup that's it, that's the name.''
As she smiled before taking an other sip
''By Arceus , this tea is just amazing! Sweet just as I like it''

"An interesting idea for sure.", Faye smiled while writing the team name on top of the page of the team records.
As she finished, her smile grew even wider as she couldn't wait to see the Happiny's reactions to the news she was about to recieve.
"Congratulations, dearie! You are now officially a member of this guild!"
Using her vines to take one of the many bags, that were hanging on a wall off of its hook, she then placed it in front of the guild's newest member before beginning to explain:
"This is your Treasure Bag. It's a great help in carrying items and will certainly be useful for you. Inside it you will find your Explorer Badge, a Wonder Map and a little surprise. So, do you want to look inside now, or should we get right to assigning a room for you?"

(The surprise is a ribbon in the colour of your choice, just like those the player recieves at the start of Time/Darkness/Sky)

she put the cup of tea on the desk and started to look at the bag and then looked at Faye and then at the bag...Marie couldn't stop shaking with joy as she felt that the first step of her dream was taken and she could now go and see Chie to tell the good news but first she must decide if she will check her bag or get to her room...
'' I will look into the bag'' she says as she had already taken a peek inside, there was what Faye said there was and also a cute little white ribbon inside the bag, She couldn't hold her joy any more as she takes it out and starts to jump all over the place with the biggest of all smiles
''its even prettier that what I imagined''

"I'm glad you like it, my dear. If you would follow me then please, sweetie?"
With those words, the Meganium placed the book back on its shelf again and put the quill and ink back into her drawer.
Walking towards the door again, she continued:
"We're almost finished with the introduction process, dearie."
After a quick tour through the guild and its facilities, during which Faye introduced a variety of Pokémon and explained the use of the systems in the guild, the duo had arrived at the quarters again.
The Grass type walked up to one of the doors, opened it and explained:
"This will be your room. There isn't much inside, but you can decorate it any way you like, my dear. Usually rescue teams only use these rooms for sleeping though, so most members don't really change anything. For now I'd suggest for you to rest. An exciting day lies behind you and without doubt the next one will be just as excitng, so you should be prepared. Are there any other questions you're having? If not, then we'd be finished here, sweetie."

Marie has learned a lot with the help of Faye and sadly it was already bed time... when she turned at fay the only thing that was on her mind was her father... will she ever find him... but all she could say was:
''I think I am going to like it here.''
as she moves towards her bed and yawns
''See ya tomorrow Guild master''
she then falls asleep the instant that she lands on her bed

"See you tomorrow, Marie.", the guildmaster responded softly.
Silently closing the door, Faye then made her way back to her quarters. Her plants were still waiting to be watered after all. And then there was this mountain of paperwork to be taken care of. But at least the new recruit was happily sleeping, eagerly awaiting the coming day as it seemed.
Things like these were what warmed the guildmaster's heart.
She too was ready to fall asleep any minute, but unlike the pink Pokémon she still had some work to do.
