| In the eyes of someone who was part of the Grassveil Guild, the small Vulpix standing before the guildmaster’s doors probably seemed out of place. That was how Lumina felt at the moment, out of place. As if she didn’t really belong here, or maybe she shouldn’t have come here. She suspected it was the fact that there were so many Pokemon here that was throwing her off beat.
But no, she was here now, and she didn’t regret that. She was fairly new in Grassveil, and she knew next to nothing about the guild. She wasn’t sure if she was going to join it... She couldn’t make a choice that important yet. Not without at least getting a bit more information. So she had figured, who was better to ask about the guild than the guildmaster herself? Varda had seemed to think it was a good idea.
The Fox Pokemon took a deep breath, gathering her composure. She lifted a forepaw and gently knocked on the door, unsure of what, exactly, she was expecting to see. Varda had described the guildmaster as alike to a flower, so she was expecting a grass type of some sort, maybe Vileplume? Bellossom? Well, she supposed that she'd see for herself momentarily. | |

| The guildmaster was sitting in her quarters, enjoying a relaxing cup of herbal tea and perusing one of her favourite books as she was interrupted by a familiar sound - someone was knocking on her door. Chuckling to herself, she placed a bookmark at the page she was at, placed the book back in its shelf and went on to open the door. Behind it there was a Vulpix to be seen. Since this specific Pokémon was not familiar to her, the guildmaster found herself intrigued, remembering the names and faces of every guild member after all. "Greetings, dearie! My name is Faye. Is there anything I can help you with?" | |

| The Vulpix nodded, which was a tad difficult, as she had to raise her head to get a good look at the Meganium. That hadn't been the face that the Fox Pokémon had been expecting, but she wasn't completely surprised, either. She paused for a moment, trying to find a good way to word what she was trying to say. "... Hello, Faye. My name's Lumina. I've moved to Grassveil recently, and, well, I still don't know the town very well. That's why I wanted to ask you a bit about the guild, if it's alright." Not exactly the smoothest of introductions, but Lumina figured it would have to do. | |

| The smile on the Grass type's face grew wider as she heard the Vulpix speak. "Welcome to Grassveil then, Lumina! It is a pleasure meeting you. And I'd be happy to answer any questions you might be having. Would you like a cup of tea?" Now this was interesting. Usually Pokémon came knocking at her door to sign up for membership at the guild. It was quite rare that someone actually chose to ask her a few questions about the town itself. Not that it wasn't appreciated of course. The guildmaster was always happy to be able to help a Pokémon in need, may it be signups or answers. And furthermore a meeting like this could very well blossom into a full friendship. | |

| The Fox Pokemon was almost a bit surprised at how welcoming the Guildmaster was. Perhaps this was just a stereotype, but she would've imagined someone... stricter? At least in charge of something as important as a guild, where many so explorers seemed to flock. Not that the Vulpix was complaining, of course. She considered the Guildmaster's offer briefly before responding. "Thank you. Tea would be nice, if it wouldn't be a problem." She added. | |

| "Oh, don't worry, dearie. It isn't a problem in the slightest.", the Meganium responded while pouring another cup of the sweet-smelling, rose-coloured beverage and setting it down on her desk in front of the young Pokémon. She then walked behind her desk, directing her attention towards the Vulpix once again. "Now then, dearie. What is it you wanted to ask?" | |

| Lumina followed the Guildmaster, watching as she poured a cup of the tea. She gingerly sipped it, enjoying the warm beverage, before turning back to the Meganium. "I suppose what I wanted to ask about was how the guild works." Seeing as that was a very vague question, the Vulpix decided to clarify. "How it functions, who comes here, what it's ultimate goal is. I like to consider myself an explorer, and I'd like to see if joining the guild would be right for me." | |

| "Oh, there isn't one direct ultimate goal one could list.", Faye began to explain. "Everyone here has their own reason for being a member of this guild. Some join for the prospect of exploring new and unknown lands, others wish to discover treasure. Some are in it for the fame and respect and yet others wish to be part of an organisation. Some need a place to stay. And a few are just bored. Most are here to help those in need and find new friends though I think. Of course I can't gurantee for the accuracy of this data as obviously reasons can be much more complicated than this." Hopefully this answer would be sufficient for there really wasn't much else that could be said about the purpose of the establishment. | |

| Lumina was silent for a few moments, nodding to herself. "... Thank you. That's what I wanted to know." She murmured, giving a little more thought to this. She remembered her conversation with Varda, who seemed to think it would be a great idea for her to be part of the guild. And, truthfully, the Vulpix was starting to think he was right. She liked to explore, and she liked to battle. She would be doing those two things whether she was part of the guild or not. Perhaps it would be best for her to join, and get rewarded for her hobby - there seemed to be no catch to this. The Fox Pokemon paused, looking over at Faye. "I think I'd like to join the guild." | |

| The smile that had been adorning the guildmaster's face grew even wider. "Oh, that's wonderful, dearie. It's great that you chose to join the guild. If you'd like, we could start right away! And don't worry, it shouldn't take long at all! You might even be able to take on your first mission by tomorrow already." It was always wonderful to see new Pokémon willing to join the guild. The fact that these Pokémon were willing to spend their lives defending the weak and helping the helpless warmed the Meganium's heart. This was exactly why she had founded this guild in the first place. And now it would gain another member. | |

| "Yes... let's start now, if it wouldn't be a problem." Lumina nodded. She had to admit, she had been considering joining the guild since she moved to Grassveil. She hadn't expected to do so right now, but this felt right. The Vulpix didn't feel as though she had made a bad choice. If anything, it was the contrary. She took another sip of the tea, glancing back at Faye. She wasn't sure how one would go about signing up for the guild, but the Meganium would probably explain soon. | |

| "Then let us begin.", the guildmaster spoke. She then proceeded to retrieve a rather large tome from one of the shelves behind her, flipping through the pages until she had reached one that hadn't been completely filled yet. If the Fire type were to glance at the pages, she were to see a variety of names next to their teams and a few statistics. "Now, my dear, first I would need your name if you don't mind." | |

| Though the Vulpix had said her name before, she supposed that this was just a formality. "Lumina." She said, doing her best to speak clearly. Her gaze travelled to the book Faye was writing in, though she couldn't say she recognised any of the names on it. Were these all the teams and their members? If they were, the guild was larger than she originally thought. | |

| Immediately the guildmaster made note of the Fire type's name in the large book in front of her. The newest member in a long chain of Pokémon that had all joined the guild at some point in time. What would she accomplish? What would she find? Only time would tell. "Now this might take a bit longer, but feel free to take all the time you need. The next question would be - How would you like to name your team?" Now this was going to be interesting. Had the Vulpix thought of something already, or would she need time to cogitate first? | |

| Lumina paused, remembering yet another of her conversations with Varda on their trip through Pecha Forest. They had considered a few different things, such as naming her team after the sun, since she was a fire type. But they hadn't thought of much that seemed fitting. Neither of them were really the creative type, it seemed. Although she had liked the idea of naming her team after the stars... maybe she could come up with something through that? "... Team Polaris. After the northern star." She mused, half-thinking out loud. Then she nodded, deciding that would work. It had a nice ring to it. | |
