| Trace nods at Noel as a response before leaping to the left just a fraction of a second after she rushed at the ghost tree, the Electrike's eyes following the movements of both of them. He saw the Riolu's eyes glowing with a strange color and the world seemed to slow down to a crawl as his mind tried to process what he was seeing. Mentally he reviewed all the vision based attacks he knew: Leer, Scary Face, Glare... yet none of them seemed to match what he was seeing. Then he recalled a kind Noctowl that described his favorite move, Foresight, saying that it allows him to see the true identity of ghost types and other hidden truths. The grayscale slow second passed, but it was all he needed to understand what the Riolu was doing and why she is able to hit the ghost type.
Noel landed as Trace was reaching the precipice of his own leap, and seemed to flash over to the Trevenant. She struck him hard in the face before continuing on. The fist hit directly into his giant eye causing him to shriek in pain and cover his face defensively with his hands. It was an opportunity Trace couldn't miss.
He summoned again the icy feeling within him as he closed the short distance between himself and the ghost with a few swift bounds. By the time he latched onto the pokemon's back with his bite his fangs were completely covered in ice and frost seemed to be escaping from his mouth. His attack hit, but something unexpected happened: The head and arms of the Trevenant twisted around quickly before slamming the lightning pokemon with a Feint Attack, eliciting a sharp yipe from the pokemon, and launching Trace directly in the path of a thrown heavy tree branch. In a few moments the two of them would collide painfully.
But the damage to the Trevenant has already occured: at the place where Trace's second Ice Fang hit a film of ice was quickly covering the grass pokemon. By the time Trace and the tree would collide the Trevenant would already be fully covered in the fast moving ice. |

| Noel swore as she placed her legs on the tree and jumped at the branch she had thrown but it was heading to trace instead heading right at the tree slightly faster then the branch she had thrown and hits it once on the bottom of the branch as hit hit's the ground and bounces over trace.
She places her leg right on the top of it and spins up as the branch lands right next to the slightly frozen tree as noel stops in the air she drops down hitting the pokemon right in the head as it really does not move cause it was frozen she lands slightly away from the tree

| Trace was spinning wildly through the air, unable to know what was happening in the world around him. He felt something whoosh by him, missing by inches, but couldn't tell what it was. The canine tried to see where he was going but it only made him dizzy. Screwing his eyes shut Trace berated himself mentally, fool! of course trying to see in this conditions would only make it worse, now try and feel your way out of this.
Trusting his instincts Trace focused on righting himself and managed to stabilize and open his eyes just in time to see the rapidly approaching land. He tensed his legs for the impact and landed, skidding a short distance on the grass. Then he glanced backward to finally see what was happening.
The Riolu landed another punch at the Tree's now frozen face before launching backwards. Supported by its root system the Trevenant stood still, however an audible cracking sound occurred as her fist damaged the ice tomb. The sound gave Trace an idea.
"Hey, I think if we both strike at the same place we could shatter the ice and the ghost along with it. I would need those eyes of yours to be able to hit him though." The Electrike explained. The plan seemed like a effective plan to him as ghost pokemon don't die the easily. It didn't occur to him that Noel may not know that though. |

| Noel just nods at him and hangs her arm low gathering some power as it reaches it's full power it glows with a large light and she dashes at the tree knowing that if we did destroy it the tree ghost could always just find another host to hold it's body.
launching at a high speed right at the pokemon is about to hit it hoping trace is close by

| Trace waited only for Noel to nod her acceptance of his plan before charging at the trapped Trevenant, leaping into a harsh tackle directly into the ghost's midsection.
As he was flying through the air Trace wondered why he didn't feel any different, some part of him figured that he would feel more sure of his attack when he fell under affect of the Riolu's foresight. All that he noticed changing is that the pokemon appeared to be more solid, he didn't have enough time to identify anything else before slamming into the tree.
Trace tackled the Trevenant by charging into it with his right shoulder, the same side that he was hit by the feint attack. All his momentum went into that shoulder charge, the force of the attack causing the ice encasement to complain loudly as cracks spiderwebbed around its surface. It would just need one more solid hit to shatter completely.
Noticing that Noel was following close behind him with her attack, Trace leaped up and to the side to get out of the way. He cleared the pokemon with time to spare, however his leap would result in him landing in the pond. He neared the height of his jump and seemed to stall in the air, giving him perfect view of the water he was about to plummet into. Well this is going to be fun... He thought with a sounded groan. He hated water, it messed up his coat and took all his electricity away. Its a wonder how he even learned to swim. He started to descend, his paws stretched out as if he were already recoiling from the liquid surface. |

| Noel noticing that trace fly's past but she decides that finishing off the tree would be a better choice then worrying he would be fine she hoped as she slammed her paw right into the middle of the frozen tree the sheer power knocking if off it's roots as it fly's right past into another tree "heh ironic" she says to herself as she lands on the ground and goes over to where trace landed.
She ran over to where she had herd a splash thinking that it was trace runs over to the water to see him inside all wet "heh went for a swim did ya" she says laughing and offers him her paw to help him out of the water that looked really cold.

| Noel's sky uppercut threw the Trevenant out of the clearing and into the dense foliage beyond. A loud thud could be heard as the frozen ghost type impacted with something hard before crashing to the ground. Any living pokemon would be quite dead at this point but all that this damage did to the ghost is cause it to disperse in large globs of shadow energy that flew off unseen to the forest that it came from. It will be several days before the ghost fully reforms.
Meanwhile Trace landed with an equally loud splash near the center of the pond, the chilly water quickly drenching him as he sunk a few feet below the water's surface. It didn't take long for him to paddle his way up to the surface where he shook his head, trying with moderate success to keep the blasted water from running into his eyes. Then he looked around to get his bearings, The moon was just peaking over the treeline illuminating with scene with its silvery light.
The Trevenant was no where to be seen, only the roots that were frozen to the ground survived their onslaught. However the Scarf-wearing Riolu was standing at the pond's edge, and she seemed to be laughing at him. Granted, Trace would have laughed at anyone else in this situation, but he didn't view it as funny when he was the one soaking wet from an unintentional dip in the water.
The Electrike swam his way to the water's edge until he felt the sandy bottom and waded his way out of the the pond. He certainly was a sorry sight, his normally fluffy medium length coat stuck to his skin making him look very matted and small rivulets of water dripped off of him. He looked grimly at the proffered paw before staring at his feet as if to say 'that wouldn't help much for a quadruped', Then he looked at the Riolu's face with his eyes glinting with good-humored revenge.
It was the only warning before he started shaking all the excess moisture off of him, spraying the water everywhere and giving his companion a surprise shower. When he was done he exclaimed "man, sometimes you just have to hate water!" as he glanced over at the now likely very wet Riolu, a wide grin plastered on his face. He ignored the fact that he wouldn't be able to generate any good amount of electricity until his coat was fully dry, and that would make him somewhat slower than usual. |

| Noel put the paw on the back of her head and laughed a little again "Ya your right" she knew that it must of sucked to of been caught in the water but she also knew it was kinda funny well to her not to him most likely she then stared at the moon for a second as suddenly water splashed her "what the" she said as water dripped off of her and she stared at trace "very funny" she said as she took of her scarf and rung it out then put it back on not really minding the water.
She then looked over as she saw the small spectral thing fly off most likely looking for something else to inhabit the ghost type hoping that it does not find that thing soon she then starts to laugh again at traces little prank "man night time great time for a little shower" she said with obvious sarcasm

| (sorry for taking so long to reply, I've been busy working on event things in another forum. In order to improve my posting rate I think I'll lower my posting quality until I'm not trying to be active in around 12 topics at once.)
Trace laughed upon the completion of his good-humored revenge. "There, now we're even." He said, referring to both being wet and laughing at the other's expense.
The electrike plodded away from the water's edge, his medium-long fur sticking to his body making him seem a lot thinner. As he was, a dull pain in his side started to become apparent. He turned his head, twisting his body slightly, to look at his side. It was very roughed up and damaged, even though there was no blood. "Well that'll take a while to heal..." He muttered. |

| Noel laughed a little as she shook the water off and looks at her body "didn't get hurt so that's good" she mutters to herself as she looks over to trace she was at the right angle to see the side that had taken damage "ouch" she said slightly out loud showing some concern as she walked over
"Are ya gonna be ok" she asks looking at the hurt side

| Trace noticed the Pokemon walking over to him as she gave a worried look at his injury. She asked if he would be all right.
Trace responded lightheartedly by saying "oh yea, I'm just fine! This is nothing that a few nights sleep and a good dust bath won't clear up."
Then as if to prove his point the Electrike accelerated from a walk to a full sprint at one of the trees. He leaped up and reversed directions using the tree as a springboard. His wound caused a hitch as the pain spiked with the accelerated movement, yet Trace remained sturdy as he landed. "See?" He said triumphantly as he trotted back, "such a wound won't make me fall."
The way he said that made it seem like he believed that the ability to move directly correlated with survival. He didn't even consider the possibility of any complications such as infections or internally broken bones... |

| Noel just smirks happy he thinks he will be ok should be even if it did get infected should be ok town's not that far as she stretches "well because you splashed me with water sleep seems to be out of the question" she says jokingly as she then smiles "so since you seem to be good how bout a race" she says coincidently | |

| Trace nodded in agreement with Noel's comment about being unable to sleep due to the water, "yes, cold water does have a good bracing effect, not to mention the battle we were just in." He commented as he softly pads his way back to the Pokemon.
Then he hears her challenge him to a race. The Electrike smirked, his eyes gleaming "a race? I'm going..." he would have finished by saying 'leave you in the dust' but trailed of as his mind made some calculations: first he was wet and that means no electricity to power him. second he was hurt, even though the wound seemed light it would probably become aggravated if he ran too hard. Trace may not feel that the wound is dangerous but he isn't a complete fool. Third the Riolu is pretty athletic on her own right. She was only a little slower than him in that fight. fourth Trace recalled from the battle that she knows quick attack. If she used that for speed then she would quickly leave Trace in the dust. fifth Trace's trump card is inconceivable to use against an ally even in a competition. Paralyzing Noel would secure a victory but he wouldn't dare.
This certainly didn't paint Trace's odds in any kind of favor. He began anew "you're..." but trailed off again as his mind reminded him of some other facts. The smirk returned as the electric Pokemon said "this will be interesting. Does 3 laps around the lake suit you?" |

| Noel smiles "sure just be ready to eat my dust" she says as she walks over to a nearby tree and places her bag on a branch she stood for a second contemplating whether or not to take off the scarf but deciding to leave it on she took a rather small branch she found near the tree and cut a large slash into the ground
"Ok then three laps" she says as she reads herself on one side of the cross in a start position "go on three if you go before then you have to jump into the lake again" Noel said jokingly though if he did cheat she would throw him in

| As Noel walks over to a tree Trace stretches out his legs. He's still quite limber from the recent fight however every advantage he can cling to will help him. After stretching he watches as she makes a decent rivet in the ground for a starting line.
He walks over to the same side as the Riolu was standing at. "ha, if you throw me in there you'll be coming with me." he joked back after hearing her comment about him rushing ahead of the gun.
"ok, I'll count: one..." Trace settled into an active stance, his paws widened as his back legs lowered some getting ready to launch him as soon as he needed to. "two..." His paws kneaded the sandy ground, creating a makeshift platform for him to launch off of and his breathing became slightly more shallow, his attention focused entirely in front of him.
"Three!" he shouted, launching forward immediately as he sounded out the "e" surprisingly he fell directly into a sprint, even though the size of the lake would make a whole lap to be 3/4 of a mile. His powerful legs beat a measured pace into the sand and the air, thick with moisture wicked away from the lake, rushed around his form. |
