Pecha Forest was bathing in beautiful golden light as the sun shone brightly in the cloudless sky. It was a rather warm day – just like it had been for a couple of days now. The days had been warm and dry with nary a cloud ruining the smooth blue of the sky, though luckily the actual heat wave had been quite short. While there still hadn't been any rain and it certainly was warm, the heat wasn't unbearable and scorching. That most likely was why despite the warmth and no rain, the plant-life was still more or less green and vibrant. There were some signs of them drying up however, as the more sensitive leaves looked a bit droopy as they hadn't gotten enough water...
Varda had traveled a bit deeper into the forest than usual. He was still on a hunt for berries for Violet, the kind Dojo owner he had met earlier. As she had helped him in his time of need, he really wanted to repay her by finding rare berries for her to grow in her garden! However, the bird hadn't had too much luck in finding those. Maybe it made sense that all the berries close to Grassveil Town were either already picked or were very common so Violet didn't really need them as many Pokémon lived there – Violet included... So clearly the smart idea would be to wander further into the forest to find what others hadn't found already.
The Swablu waddled on the path, though he did notice how it was growing thinner and less well-traveled as he continued his journey. It had to mean that not that many Pokémon walked this far, which was a good sign! He just hoped that it wouldn't completely disappear, in fear that he might accidentally get lost as the path was the only way he could get back to Grassveil Town. Varda had heard of another forest that less Pokémon went into, but he decided that he will give Pecha Forest one more chance to give him the berries he needed...
Cautiously, the bird Pokémon walked, stopping every now and then to check the bushes close to the road, never wandering too far from it. He had learned his lesson last time and he was quite careful so he didn't get stuck in a bush again!

| Greg chuckles. "What happens, happens, really. No way you can change that. What matters is how you react to it." Greg then turned to Varda, and deadpanned. "Team Greg? Sorry, but that really doesn't sound like a good name. It would work if my name were based off of a trait or something, but it isn't. I'd want to call it something like Team Heroes, or something like that. Something inspiring." Greg then continues walking. He's finally going to the guild, to become an explorer, make friends, discover new things and get to know the world in the process! He smiled at this thought. |

| Varda skipped happily along, taking the other Pokémon's words to heart. They were wise words indeed. Perhaps he had to learn to be more cautious so that he didn't keep running headfirst into other Pokémon that might have wanted to do him harm. Or maybe they only wanted to do him harm because he had gotten too close to them or even accidentally spooked them!
"I thought it was a good name," the bird cooed, frowning a bit in disappointment. Perhaps he just didn't have the best taste when it came to names. Perhaps Greg wouldn't be too interested in his next suggestion either: Team Bulbasaur. "Ooh, Team Heroes? That sounds very heroic!" Varda seemed to perk up when he heard what the Bulbasaur was thinking, clearly making up a better name than him. Perhaps it had a better ring to it. Perhaps it did sound better. It certainly did feel a lot different from Team Greg!

| After walking for a bit longer, Greg sees the exit just in the distance. Greg's smile widened. "There's the exit!" Greg moves increasingly quickly towards it, eager to get out of the dark gloomy forest and towards the guild. The increasing speed may have something to do with sunlight reaching him. |

| The walk through the forest was rather uneventful. It was a beautiful day and the way the light filtered through the holes in the canopy bathed patches of the forest in sunlight. Not being interrupted by any Pokémon was a pleasant change of pace that allowed Varda to truly enjoy the walk in the forest – and he certainly didn't want to ruin it all by poking his face in the bushes again, in case he angered yet another Pokémon by accident!
Their surroundings were getting lighter as they walked closer to the entrance of the forest – or exit, in this case. Greg seemed to notice it right away and ended up picking up his pace, moving much faster now. The Bulbasaur most likely wanted to get out as soon as possible! "Oh, wait for me!" The Swablu chirped as his little feet struggled to keep up, doing his best to not drop any items he was carrying on his wings.

| Greg dashed straight ahead along the path, the light from outside empowering him, giving him energy and making him faster. He continously got faster and kept moving forward until he flew straight out of the exit. Grassveil could be seen in the distance. He stops running, then turns to Varda. "Thank you for helping me get out of the forest. I owe you one. I'm gonna get moving towards the guild. Once again, thank you!" Greg then runs off towards the town- and the guild- once he's thanked Varda and said goodbye. Greg's thoughts after that whole experience can approximately be summed up in two sentences. 'While getting lost is annoying as heck, good things can come out of it, like making a new friend or finding something you wouldn't have found otherwise. either way, it's not all bad.' Greg grinned as he zoomed off towards the guild with an unnatural amount of speed. One could almost see a dust trail from behind him.

| Varda had a hard time waddling after the other Pokémon that just seemed to grow faster and faster as he went! His own little feet and all the items he was carrying made his speed quite pitiful compared to the Bulbasaur, leaving the poor bird behind as the distance between the two just grew larger and larger. Clearly it would have been much easier for the Swablu to keep up if he could fly, but what with him carrying a stick and berries with his wings, he obviously couldn't use them for flying. Stopping to move the items around would have taken too much time and he wasn't even sure if he could carry it all with his wings!
Luckily they were heading in the right direction. The forest got brighter and brighter as the trees started to become more sparse, the path finally leading the duo out of it. Grassveil Town was looming in the distance, unable to be missed by anyone – except perhaps a blind Pokémon, but as far as Varda knew, Greg wasn't like that! Finally the Bulbasaur stopped, letting the bird catch up to him.
"Y-You're welcome," the Swablu panted heavily, tired from the running, "It was no big deal! And, we found these berries, too – thanks to you!" He continued, looking a bit happier as he chirped though the bird was still quite exhausted. Greg seemed to be so excited that he immediately rushed to go to the town, but unfortunately Varda couldn't follow him and match his speed. He didn't even try, his feet were too tired. All he could do was chirp his goodbyes to the running Bulbasaur and catch his breath. He was going back to Grassveil Town as well, but he was going to have to do it with his own pace...
((I guess that's it for the thread! Thanks for the game.))
