Program: Avatar

In this RP you will be an Avatar that is part of Program:Avatar. Yes, you DO have to be part of the program to be an Avatar no exceptions, and I mean none. You don't have to be an Avatar if you don't want to, but I mean come on, who wouldn't want to be an Avatar?

The intro was the day that program avatar was announced, so that all of you know how it was announced. It was also a preview at what my character Cedric is like. Below is the bio, I hope you enjoy this Rp!

Name, Gender: Self Explanatory
Age: Since bending came back about 10 years ago, and Program: Avatar was started say three years before it officially came back your age should be around 18-21. Since they would have started their training at around 5-8.
Physical Appearance: Self-Explanatory, pictures are allowed
Personality: Self-Explanatory, but this is kind of what decides your challenge element do chose carefully.
History: What was their life like before Program: Avatar became official? What did they do?
Preferred Element: The element they bend the most
Starting Element: Even though there is more then one avatar, they all started with their own element and then followed the elements of the avatar cycle.
Challenge Element: The element that they had the most challenge learning how to master. You cannot say none, all Avatars have trouble learning one of the elements. Usually the one that is opposite to their personality. It does not have to be opposite of their starting element, just opposite of their personality. Here is information on elements and what personality is opposite them:

Gender: Male
Age: 20

He is the guy who is standing on top of the ledge, he is obviously tall and you should be able to see his face. He does not have a sword and he wears regular clothes(jeans, t-shirts, etc.) but he does have a necklace that he wears.
Personalty: Cedric is a very direct and strong willed bender. He is very strong willed and he has a strong sense of justice, and now that Program: Avatar is official, he wants to enforce that sense of justice. He has a lot of friends, but he doesn't like to fight with them because he believes in his own strength and doesn't rely on others that often. His fighting style is very direct (If you couldn't tell from the intro) and he won't hesitate to fight you if you attack him. He likes to think of himself as a guardian of justice, he will help almost anyone who needs it. As you can see from the intro, he is pretty cocky about his skills, and sometimes he is right to be.
History: Cedric was ecstatic when he learned that he was going to be trained to be an avatar. He took his time with his training, making sure to master every aspect of each element. When he reached his last element of water, he had trouble getting the hang of it. He just wasn't used to the fluid motions of the techniques because he preferred to be more direct. After some long and intensive training, he finally got the hang of water bending and eventually passed the test and had officially mastered his final element. After he finished his Avatar training, he went back to his normal life, he went to school and hung out with friends. After bending started to come back, he and his friends 'discovered' that he could earth bend. So he was only allowed to earth bend until Program: Avatar became official. He is now in his third year of college, and he and his friends worked with the police force to help limit crime. He enjoyed watching Pro Bending and other bending sports with his friends. His friends would constantly pester him to form a team with them, but he would constantly refuse, claiming the he thought he wasn't good enough to do pro bending. But in reality he was worried that if he got cornered he would accidently reveal that he could bend more then one element. When Program: Avatar was announced, he was in the center of a group of thugs hideout, he went in to try and find them to get back all of the student IDs and meal cards that they had stolen from students. He underestimated them and was not able to handle them with just Earth, but luckily for him, Program: Avatar became official and he was able to use his true skills.

Name: Tyrael Black; goes by Black Angel
Gender: male
Age: 21
Physical Appearance:

He wears a black hoodie and average clothes underneath. He also carries several projectile weapons and knows chi-blocking, like Azula's sidekicks did. A tattoo is on his wrist of a Messenger Hawk and some strange, unreadable language.
Personalty: Silent and unforgiving, Tyrael is merciless in battle. He will not result to bending except air unless he's unable to get close to an opponent, feeling that fighting bending with bending will only worsen the problem. Around friends he's more open, but will change the subject whenever his past before Program: Avatar began.
History: Tyrael is the nephew of one of the trainers of Team: Avatar. He shows disdain to the program and the people who made it, seeing it as only a way to weaponize people. His past is clouded in mystery including his knowledge of projectiles and chi-blocking. His tattoo suggest he used to be in a gang, but one that's as shrouded as him or disbanded. Throughout the program he was insubordinate yet excelled at the four elements easily.

Name: Claudia Rosenthal
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Physical Appearance: Shoulder length red hair and bright green eyes. Claudia is of average height and stature and usually wears jeans and t-shirts with a jacket over the top. When the weather is hotter, Claudia will settle for just a shirt-usually with a checked pattern- and jeans, opting to leave her jackets at home.
Personalty:Claudia is a free-spirited young woman who isn't weighed down by the hardships of life. She is usually always cheerful and upbeat, not letting the world's problems get to her. She is quick and nimble on her feet and despite the crimes she helps prevent, always looks on the bright side of things.
History: Claudia had a fairly normal life before training to become an avatar. Through her school life and avatar training she would always keep her bright outlook on things, even when they didn't go her way. This positive outlook was a good thing to have as Claudia found two of the four elements particularly hard to master. For Claudia, mastering the elements of Earth and Fire were especially hard. For Fire, she couldn't seem to get the hang of using her own energy rather than what was around her and for Earth, the bulkier, shorter movements and amounts of power were just too direct for her. After some amount of training, she did eventually master all four elements, however even now she still has trouble, with Earth bending especially.
Before Program: Avatar became official, Claudia would often practice air bending out of habit... though she wouldn't particularly call it practice as she found it ridiculously easy to use nowadays. Even from small movements, she could cause gentle breezes through the classrooms, enough to blow someone's paper off their desk. Before the program was announced publicly, Claudia had no trouble keeping her knowledge of the other three elements under wraps. Even now, only if the occasion specifically demands for it will she use Earth, though Fire and Water are slightly more common for her to use.

Age: 18
Physical Appearance: Ostro is a man with sleek brown hair and ice blue eyes. He also wears a jacket that his mom made for him that she kept on making it bigger as he got bigger, the jacket shows his first element on it. Ostro also has white skin and a great build.
Personalty: Ostro never backs down to a fight but is also a great friend. He likes to battle tougher foes each time he gets into a fight. He also has anger issues
History: Ostro was born to a rich family, but he hated it. Sure he got everything he wanted, but he couldn't like it at all. When he got chosen to be trained by Project: Avatar, he was confused because he didn't know what it was.

Riley usually wears tall boots, a big hoodie, and long jeans.
Personalty: Riley tends to make rash decisions and doesn't really think anything through. She absolutely adores the fire element and tends to use the term 'flame-haired' extremely often simply because it refers to fire. She's a very absent minded person who sometimes zones out for whole conversations. However, when it comes to battling, Riley is a fierce opponent who isn't afraid to take risks.
History: Riley has always yearned for adventure. Before she started her training, she would romp around outside and in the forest simply to feel like an explorer. When she learned that she would be trained as an Avatar, she could practically see new doors opening for her. Since that day she's been wanting an adventure even stronger and knows that if she wants to become someone who is revered and remembered that she must become strong of body and of mind.

As a child, Riley would sit on the floor in the living room and stare at the fire in the grate for hours on end. Her parents were worried about her for the longest time but were reassured that she was perfectly fine.

Name: Nazumi Ichimaru

Personalty: A free-spirited and bright young woman. Nazumi thinks of any possibility that she can to solve a puzzle. She can be strong willed and is easy to get along with. one thing to mention is to watch out for her temper.

History: Nazumi was raised in a small town and is used to go exploring. When she was young she loved playing in the river and snow. She also liked to stay up late and stair at the moon for hours. Her parents worried about their daughter staying up late and playing near the local river. She loved to play with puzzles. Riddles were no fun, she wanted to challange herself. Soon she found out at age 5 that she could move the water with her hands. This striked many questions in her head. "How was she able to do it? Is there an explenation?" She showed her parents this and they were happy to know that Nazumi was a Waterbender.

Nazumi's parents explained about Waterbenders and the Avatar. Soon she knew that she wanted to learn more about the Elements and set off to tain more with her new found Waterbending technequies. So her parent sent her to Project: Avatar. Now at age 18 she has greatly improved in waterbending at Project: Avatar.

Name: Kaya Chugach
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Physical Appearance: Being of Inuit descent, Kaya's appearance is similar to one: Moderately dark skin, jet black hair and blue eyes. Her attire is more modern, though, consisting of an aqua blue hoodie with a silver mountain print along the bottom and a pair of black sweatpants. Her hair is most commonly gathered in a low, chest length ponytail, with loose bangs. She prefers to go barefoot.

Personality: Kaya is usually what you'd describe as a "slacker". Preferring to relax, she's usually seen just hanging around and killing time. Having an attitude this relaxed, Kaya almost never gets mad, but if you do manage to strike a nerve, she will personally make you a grave.

History: Ever since childhood, Kaya had been fascinated with the idea of being able to control an element. Her parents did the typical thing and handwaved it as a kid's fantasy, until one day when they went hiking in the mountains. Hiking was a normal past-time hobby for Kaya and her family, although Kaya usually got carried. This time, however, they let her go a little while in her own. Everything went well, until the five year old almost fell off of the cliff, only to move part of it in the last second to save herself. A couple of weeks later, her parents got a letter from Program: Avatar. She has been training under the Program ever since.

Leaf, this RP is based in the real world, so there is no such thing as the Southern Water Tribe. Also, none of your family can be benders. Also, if anything you would be able to bend one element at first, you would have then been found and chosen to join Program: Avatar then learn all of the other elements. You wouldn't have discovered more then one element on your own, and again, you would have been chose to join Program: Avatar, your parent's couldn't have sent you since it had been secret for 13 years.

Physical Appearance: I want to draw it, but for now here's this (its pretty close. XD):

Personalty: Caroline is quiet and dark, and not really the social type. She often prefers to be in solitube. There is a darker element to her that people just can't put their finger on, and if asked about it she will normally not respond.
History: Caroline lived a fairly normal life, with nothing to really make her the way she is today. She has an extremely high IQ and topped all her classes. At age six she was officially pronounced mentally unstable, and by age 9 the only word that could be used to describe her was insane. (yes, yes she is based off GLaDoS. Don't know who that is? Google it. XD)

Name: Leon Bergman.
Gender: Male.
Age: 19
Physical Appearance: Without the stuffed Tiger.

Personalty: Leon is very independent and will work with others if he has to, but that doesn’t mean he trusts them. Despite that, when he doesn’t have to rely on other people, he can be pretty friendly and energetic with others.
History: Leon hated his family from the beginning of his life, because they were dysfunctional and abusive. As soon as he thought he was old enough to take care of himself, when he was 14, he ran away and began to live on the streets as a bandit, having to frequently steal from others and sometimes work with other thieves and thugs. Eventually though, he was taken in by the police after one of his thefts went wrong. Not knowing what else to do, Leon bargained with them, saying that he would work something out with them and help them. After considering his bending ability he was sent off to Program Avatar. Leon didn’t have too many problems with the air and earth elements, but his main problem was with water. He was used to relying on himself for everything, and never wanted to have to depend on anything else. Through some more work, he was finally able to figure out water bending, and treated it like he would treat a rival, with respect and even started to use it more then fire.
