Got Wood?

Akuroma looked around as he walked up towards Icicle Woods. He needed some wood for his cabin back in the Black Spear Mountains and this dungeon was the closest place with any. However, Akuroma wasn't entirely sure what tree he should take. All he knew about wooden buildings is that the harder, bigger, and healthier the tree, the more likely it'll hold up good as building material. Then there was the problem on how he'd get the tree back to his home. He'd never attempted teleporting something so large so far away.

He sighed and pulled his hood up over his head, obscuring his face as he began to walk deeper into the woods, guessing that the better wood would be deeper within. At least there wouldn't be anybody to bother him this time.

Akuroma glanced over at Avaria darting out of the charging Abomasnow's way. He would've done the same, if not for the fact that the Delibird on the giant Pokemon's shoulder began to fire ice shards once more, blocking his escape route. Or, at least that's what the bird believed. Once the Abomasnow was close enough, Akuroma teleported himself above the lumbering Pokemon. Swinging his first downward, Akuroma slammed his fist into the Delibird's face just as it sparked into a ball of electricity.

Akuroma had misjudged the Abomasnow's maneuverability, however. As the Delibird began to fall off the Abomasnow's shoulder, the larger ice type managed to grab Akuroma by his leg. The large Pokemon's hand glowed green as it threw Akuroma down onto the ground, knocking the wind out of him.

Avaria winced as the Abomasnow seemed to throw Aku to the ground, standing off to the side as she took notice of the Delibird that had been thrown from the larger pokemon's shoulder. She could go and take care of the Delibird now, but doing that would leave the Kirlia to dealing with the Abomasnow himself. ...damn it, he won't be any use beaten half to death.

"Get your act together!" The Oshawott yelled angrily at Aku as she gripped the shell on her front and darted towards the Abomasnow, her scalchop glowing with a dark aura. She slashed it at the giant pokemon's arm, hoping the damage would be enough to force it to release her temporary partner.
"I don't think any of our moves themselves are going to do much damage, we've gotta work with what we have around us." Ava hastily spoke, hoping to get her statement out as quickly as possible.

The Abomasnow roared out as it let go of the Kirlia, pulling its arm back from the Oshawott's attack. Akuroma groaned, taking the opportunity to teleport next to Avaria, his arm around his waist as he coughed. "W-well we've got snow, ice, trees, and rocks. I don't think-" he stopped himself for a moment as he coughed a bit more. He reached into his bag and pulled out a Sitrus berry.

The Kirlia quickly sunk his teeth into the berry, the pain disappearing from his body as the berry's healing properties went to work. "Ah, better. Now then, we should- dodge!" the Kirlia said, grabbing a hold of the Oshawott's arm before teleporting the pair out of the path of the Abomasnow, the large Pokémon charging at them with a powerful Giga Impact.

Right, snow, rocks, trees, rocks...there's the branches, but those could end up snapping on us. Rocks maybe- She had been too busy thinking, analyzing the situation with what Aku had to say to notice the Abomasnow charging towards them. All she had felt was him grabbing onto her before suddenly her surroundings changed, vanishing for the moment until they reappeared where seemed to be behind the Abomasnow. Teleporting was a strange sensation for the Oshawott, making her pause a moment as she reoriented herself.

"Maybe you can do something with the rocks. You're a psychic type, figure it out." Ava snapped at him, before hearing something stir. The Delibird Aku had punched off of the Abomasnow seemed to be getting up. She immediately turned and charged the pokemon, throwing herself on it with a tackle, knocking both to the snow as she gripped her scalchop with one paw, swiping it down at the Delibird with a Night Slash.

Aku frowned as Avaria snapped at him before going off to attack the Delibird. Wonderful, he had to figure out what to do. The Abomasnow panted slightly, recovering from it's powerful attack while Akuroma looked around, picking out what could be useful. Then an idea came to mind for the Kirlia. Teleporting to one of the rocks, Akuroma grabbed a hold of the stone and teleported him and it into the air. Akuroma then swung his arm back, the limb glowing a bright green before he swung it down on the rock, a wave of psychic energy erupting from his arm and propelling the rock towards the Abomasnow before it slammed into the large Pokémon's shoulder, knocking it over.

Akuroma teleported back down onto the ground and repeated the process, firing rocks at the Abomasnow before soon he was out of rocks small enough that he could teleport them. "Ava, I'm out of ammo!" he called out to the Oshawott, making sure she'd know that they were back to using their own moves against the powerful Pokémon.

The Delibird had put up a struggle, but only a slight one, letting out a few Frost Breath attacks. Ava huffed as she brought her shell down repeatedly, doing so until it finally stopped putting up a fight. Her breath was heavy as she tried to calm herself, breathing in and out as she backed off of the pokemon. It had been fighting back, but it was weaker, nervous. Something seemed to click in her mind as she realized she wasn't as weak as she thought. She had taken it on and fought it with enough force to even make it panic.

"Ava, I'm out of ammo!" Aku's voice knocked her out of her stupor as she looked back over to the Kirlia, watching as he came back down to the ground. Thinking quickly, she imbued her scalchop with a dark black aura, and pulled back.
"Aku, punch it!" The Oshawott called, hoping to get his attention as she did so. As she yelled, she threw the shell, aiming for it to go between him and the Abomasnow. Hopefully he would know what she meant, considering if he punched it with one of his Thunder Punch. It was a bit of a last ditch effort, she didn't want to part with her shell for the moment. But she didn't want to get too close to the Abomasnow either, and while she was pleased with her momentary victory against the Delibird, this was a different case entirely for her.

Akuroma looked over at the Oshawott, seeing the night slash infused scalchop heading for him. Throwing his fist back, Akuroma charged it up with electricity before swinging his first forward. As his fist and the scalchop came into contact a small eruption from the dark and electric energies mixing formed near Aku's hand, throwing him back slightly while the Scalchop blasted towards the Abomasnow.

The move combo slammed into the Abomasnow's chest, causing another explosion to form and send the large Pokémon flat on its back. The Abomasnow groaned, struggling to get up before it finally succumbed to its injuries and passed out.

She jumped as the two attacks resulted in a sort of explosion, sending the Kirlia back a bit and throwing the Abomasnow to the ground, causing it to pass out. More worried about it than her current companion, Ava ran over to the Abomasnow, searching for where her shell might have ended up in the snow. After a few seconds she found it sticking up a few feet away, luckily not overly damaged from the combination of attacks.
"...did we just do that? We just took it down for now?" The Oshawott questioned as she caught her breath, turning back to Aku as she walked over, placing the scalchop back on herself. She could barely believe it, before today she hadn't thought herself capable of doing something like that, always figuring she had to stick to the shadows and sneak up on others.

Akuroma groaned as he lay on the ground, noticing the Oshawott running to the Abomasnow for some reason. Good to know she cared about him, he though to himself before sitting up in the snow. As the Oshawott approached him with her question, he shrugged, "Yep, now then, can we leave before it wakes back up?" the Kirlia asked. He groaned a bit as he stood up, stretching to help relax his tense body from the intense fight they just had. As he did so, he happened to notice an oran berry sticking out of the snow. He went to pick it up, only to find the snow underneath him crumble and give way to a hot spring just beneath the surface.

As he spoke, Ava squinted somewhat, as if completely taken aback by what Aku had just said to her.
"No, we're going to stand here and wait for it to get back up after all of that. What do you think?" She remarked with heavy sarcasm, shaking her head. What, did he seriously think that he needed to point out something obvious like that? Yeah, she got a kick out of taking it down, but that didn't make her oblivious to how much effort it took.

She started to follow the Kirlia as he went for the berry but hesitated for a moment, grumbling as she had to pause. Now that the adrenaline was leaving her system, the damage of the attacks she had taken were starting to get to her. When she looked back up, Aku was no longer there, instead the snow had crumbled beneath. The Oshawott blinked, simply staring at the hole now.
"...Aku? You alright down there?" She questioned curiously, stepping up to the ledge and looking down into the hole.

Akuroma blinked slightly at his new surroundings, "Do we really have to leave?" he asked before grabbing a hold of the oran berry and munching on it. Despite the danger of staying, he knew that with his energy back up, he could simply teleport them out of there. At least for now they could relax. That was when he noticed the sneasel staring at him from across the spring. The Pokémon was up to its nose in the water, startled by the Kirlia falling into the hot spring. However it didn't seem to want to be hostile, enjoying the water too much itself to want to fight.

Huh...well, I could ditch him for now. Just get out of here and go back to what I was doing before. She thought to herself, looking down at Aku and the other, docile looking Sneasel in the water. ...that water is really tempting though... Deciding to join him, she took her shell that was tied to her scarf and stuck it in the ground next to the hole, using the scarf to climb down and drop into the water. It wasn't too high of a drop to start with, but still, she didn't want to jump right in, just in case it startled the Sneasel. Plus, if Aku did decide to leave her, she had a way to climb back out now.
"Well, this is nice..." She muttered, wading in the water and taking a look around the area, relaxing a bit.

Akuroma chuckled slightly at the Oshawott's muttering, "You almost sound like you wished it wasn't." The Psychic type leaned back a bit and relaxed against the warm wall of the hot spring, the Sneasel beginning to relax seeing as the other two Pokémon didn't seem to want to fight either. "Ah, this is great right after a battle like that. Battles should always end like this, can't tell ya how many times I've just wanted to relax after something like that."

"Well, I wasn't exactly looking to spend my day in a random hot spring with you and a random Sneasel." She smirked somewhat, closing her eyes as she got herself comfortable. She had to admit, the water was nice though.
"We probably shouldn't stay too long though, I'm not sure an Abomasnow is going to relax in this as much." She suggested, shrugging as she opened her eyes once more.

Akuroma shrugged again, "I can teleport us out at any time, so there's no need to worry." He then let himself sink down till only the upper half of his face was poking out of the water to let him breathe, letting the water soak into his aching body. He wondered if there were any place near Grassveil with hot springs like this. If there was he'd definitely have to visit it sometime, but for now he was at least able to relax.
