| "Hmm. So you've met Vesper then, is that right?" She pivoted to watch Aku as he passed, listening to what he had to say and reached upward, giving the Kirlia a soft punch to the shoulder after he had taken the time to pat her head. "Not at all. I haven't gone after any 'prey' in town yet. Ever since prior events, I've preferred strict periods of observance before hitting hard and fast. I'd like to scout what's around the area, escape routes, places to lie low should anything go wrong, what sorts of environments and wildlife to expect, you name it." Ava answered, turning and walking next to him, trying to catch up. "What's up with you, though? Making a town with some Tyrunt up in Blackmist doesn't seem to fit for someone like you." She asked curiously. | |

| "Yes, she taught me a bit about stealing. She seems nice, though a bit cocky," Akuroma said, ignoring the punch to his shoulder. He then listened to Avaria's questions, thinking for a moment. "I'm not staying, I'm only aiding the Tyrunt while I'm there. I'm studying the Northeastern mountains for anything promising. As of now there's not much promise unless you're a very powerful digging Pokemon," Akuroma said.
"And what about you? I wouldn't expect you to be so cautious, what made you begin acting like this?" Akuroma asked Avaria. Though his first encounter with the Oshawott didn't prove much about her behavior, she didn't seem very cautious to Akuroma, especially with the way she tried to sneak up behind him.

| "Oh, how noble of you to help. I suppose you're simply studying, I hope you don't get too attached while you do." The Oshawott snickered, deciding to make a comment before she would respond to the Kirlia's own question. Not only did it keep things light, well, seemingly light, it also gave her time to carefully think out a response. "Suddenly being cautious? I would think someone of your intelligence would know better then that. Humor me, why do you think I would be more cautious?" Ava asked, interested to see what Akuroma would come up with. Most likely something egotistical, he seems to be fairly cocky, maybe a bit of thought that's close to it, considering he probably has a strong mind. Or maybe he'll even guess correctly. She thought to herself with a sly smirk. | |

| Akuroma shrugged, "I can only sense present emotions, not those of the past nor your memories and I doubt me simply being able to sense you on our last encounter would be enough to make you more cautious. Unless you got your ass handed to ya I've no idea what could have cause you to become cautious. Besides, I've only met you once before, and only briefly, and back then you seemed a good deal less cautious and more brazen in your actions," he said as he walked through the snow. Every now and then he'd stop and look at a tree before moving on. He was a bit frustrated, as the more he tried to figure out what tree to use, the less difference he could tell between one tree and the next. | |

| Avaria made a "Tsk, tsk" sound as she continued alongside Akuroma, shaking her head. "Come on now, think harder about it. Let's think about the process." She commented, taking a deep breath and looking herself over. "If I had gotten beaten up, it would have happened between last time we met and now. It's possible I could sustain serious enough injuries to make me be more careful and have healed by now, but I would probably have some visible wound from it." The Oshawott took another breath, finishing her explanation. "So, on the chance it isn't that, then what would it be? Maybe the idea that last time I was encountering a visible ralts, but this time it was a hooded figure? Or maybe I was still this cautious when we first met, just not so obvious." The otter Pokemon finally finished, satisfied with her talk and hints she left in it. | |

| "True, I still don't think you were as cautious last time we met as you were this time, so I guess it was because of the hood," Akuroma guessed. Akuroma sighed a bit as he walked, causing a large puff of steam to blow from under his hood. "I hate the cold, I think I might head over to Grassveil and have Violet teach me Fire Punch once I'm finished in the Mountains," Akuroma said. He lifted up his hand and watched as a Thunder Punch formed on it before releasing the energy, the sparks dying out before his hand went back to his side. - Dracorexion carried out 5 launched of one Icicle Woods :

| "Think what you want. I've helped you out a bit, I'll leave the rest of the thought process to you though." The Oshawott chuckled, amused by the guessing as she continued on her way, glancing over at Aku as he talked about learning fire punch. "What, is Thunder Punch not enough? Where did you learn it, anyways? I'm guessing the dojo?" She asked, deciding to make conversation for the time being. As she did, she glanced around the area slightly, getting an uncomfortable feeling, like they weren't alone. The sound of moving branches caught Ava's attention as she looked up, watching a dark shape speed towards her and Aku at nearly blinding speeds. The Oshawott didn't say anything to alert the Kirlia, instead using her small amount of time to dive out of the way. The Weavile's claws had managed to leave a scratch across her side, but although it wasn't the lightest scratch, it wasn't a very serious one either. It might bleed a small bit, but she would be alright. The Oshawott hadn't checked to see whether or not Aku had dodged the attack as well, and got back up, grabbing her front shell and looking in that direction to see where the Weavile was, and if it had hit Akuroma. | |

| Akuroma was too focused on answering Avaria to have noticed the incoming Pokemon. "It's enough, but enough is never enough, and yes I di-" he was cut off when he was thrown back by the Weavile's attack. He skipped across the snow a couple of times, landing on his front and sliding to a halt. He groaned and began to stand up, "Crap that hurt..." he said as he got himself up onto his knees to look at their opponent.
As he stood up, a sudden white beam hit him from behind, the light from the beam nearly blinding as it engulfed Akuroma. When the beam faded, Akuroma was encased in ice, stuck midway to standing up. A Vannilite floated over from behind him, snickering to itself on successfully freezing the Kirlia.

| A quick survey of the situation at hand didn't seem to turn up many results that were in Avaria's favor. Not only had Aku gotten hit, but he had also been frozen by a Vannilite. Even as she thought about it, a Swinub had poked out of the bushes, disturbed by the sound of the conflict. Perfect. Let's see...freeing Aku may take some time, but he would be able to provide plenty of help. It would leave me open to attack if I tried to get him out while they're attacking me, though. I'll have to even the odds a little bit first...wait a minute... She wasn't going to have any time to clear her little idea with Akuroma, so it would be more of an executive decision. Hopefully he didn't hold it against her. Pulling the item out of her bag, the Oshawott pulled her paw back and threw, throwing the Blast Seed at the feet of the now frozen Kirlia. Hopefully it would be far enough away to not seriously harm him, and close enough for the heat to melt the ice. And on hone off chance he was seriously harmed, well, accidents happened, and that was more of a "him" problem anyways. Once she threw the seed, she grabbed her scalchop off of her front and used a Night Slash attack, swinging the shell all around her by the scarf it was still tied to for one rotation, before swinging it down on top of the seed, crushing it. | |

| Once Avaria's scalchop crushed the seed, it was thrown back to the Oshawott as the resulting explosion engulfed Akuroma and the Vanillite. The explosion was enough to melt the ice while also throwing Akuroma and the Vanillite back into a tree, causing snow to fall on and bury them. Akuroma groaned, standing up out of the snow and holding his head as he tried to steady himself.
The Weavile paid little attention to the Vanillite and Kirlia, immediately turning it's attention to Avaria and slashing at her after the explosion. The Weavile's claws glowed white as it began to use Slash on the Oshawott. The Swinub looked at the battle, wondering who it should fight, if anyone.

| The explosion propelled the seed back in the Oshawott's direction, along with the scalchop she had used. Ava ducked to the side, avoiding the seed and grabbed her shell by the edge as it nearly went over her head, holding onto it and dropping the end of her scarf. She didn't need to use it for distance anymore, no, it was time to take things close-up. The Weavile going after her took precedent over the Kirlia's safety at the moment, and so she paid no attention to him and instead brought her shell down in the way of the slash attack, parrying it. Now that she had a moment, a quick glance showed that Aku was, although partially covered in snow and looking a bit dazed, alright for the most part. Alright, fantastic, back to this... Turning back to the Weavile, she opened her mouth as a sudden jet of water splashed out, using water gun on the attacker. As this happened, the Vanillite seemed to be just as dazed as Aku, the explosion and the impact doing some damage. The Swinub decided to take action here, and waddled on towards Aku, ramming at him in an attempt to tackle the Kirlia. | |

| Akuroma found himself little time to react to the Sniub charging at him. Swing his arms out in front of him, he was able to block the tackle from hitting him dead on, but not without causing him some damage. Skidding back, Akuroma shook his arms a bit, as if shaking off the pain before he swung one back, the arm gaining a green glow. "You annoy me," he said, swinging his arm down, sending his Psyshock straight at the Swinub before he teleported behind the pig, kicking it straight into his attack. The resulting small explosion from the attack hitting the ice type left the Swinub in as bad a daze as the Vanillite was in. Taking his time, Akuroma popped his knuckles and neck, walking up to the two Pokemon as one arm sparked with green electricity. The Weavile swiftly dodged the water gun, coming in for another Slash attack, hoping to take out the Oshawott from close quarters. | From her peripheral vision, Ava could see that Akuroma wasn't in need of her help anytime soon. He seemed to be doing just fine as it was. At least, that's what she figured. There wasn't much time available to babysit him and make sure that he was alright as the Weavile came back in with another slash attack. With her scarf still trailing behind her scalchop, the Oshawott brought it back up and parried the attack once more, grimacing slightly as the force of the Weavile's attack weighed down on her paw. Stepping to the side around the claws it had slashed at her with, she lowered her shell and spun behind it, slashing it across the Weavile's back and retreating a few steps back. Her basic plan of attack was to counter attack and spend most of her time dodging, considering the other pokemon was larger and stronger, there probably wasn't much of a way for her to beat the Weavile up front.
The Swinub seemed to still be dazed as Akuroma walked over to it, staggering around and stumbling somewhat. Suddenly, before anything could happen the ground shook. Tree branches swayed up and down, and the ground rumbled as if something huge was shaking it. Ava paused a moment, looking around as this went on. What? It can't be an earthquake, but then what- There was a shrill squeal as a giant white shape burst into the area, its fist glowing a blue hue as it punched the Swinub. The tiny pig pokemon was thrown through the air, slamming into a tree and immediately dropping to the ground unconscious. The Oshawott stared at the pokemon that had done this, eyes wide and visibly surprised. The Abomasnow seemed to look at everyone in the area, and didn't appear to be all that happy that they were there. Ava found herself frozen in place, staring up at this pokemon, fight or flight instincts kicking in. I don't think dropping a few branches on its head is going to cut it this time. We're going to need to run. She thought to herself, thinking out a strategy as she watched the creature.

| Akuroa jumped back as he saw the Swinub suddenly fly from his vision, replaced with the lumbering body of an Abomasnow. "Avaria, we've got bigger problems now," he said hopping back again as the Abomasnow's arm glowed green before it slammed it against the Vannilite, sending the ice type flying in the opposite direction.
The Weavile growled a bit to itself, deciding to leave Avaria and Akuroma to the Abomasnow as it ran off into the woods. The Abomasnow roared out, a sudden hailstorm enveloping the small clearing, making it next to impossible for Akuroma and Avaria to safely escape. That wasn't the end of their problems, though, as shards of ice rained down around them. The owner of the shards, a Delibird, landed on the Abomasnow's shoulder.

| Hearing the Kirlia's claim, Ava turned her head to look at him and rolled her eyes. Yes, I managed to notice that. Thank you. Sincerely... she thought to herself, before turning back to the giant pokemon. There was no way they would have the ability to take it on, she was absolutely convinced of that. Ava, calm down and think, okay? You know that fighting up front isn't the only way to do it. Come on, you've done it before. Granted, with some better help, but you can do it again.
The Abomasnow's fist glowed blue once more as it charged at the duo, preparing to use another Ice Punch. With the size of the pokemon and the momentum it was getting from the charge, the oshawott assumed that getting hit would be a very bad thing, her mind going into a more simplistic analysis of things, looking for something to help. "Move!" She yelled, directing it at Aku as she darted to the side, moving out of the way. Come on Ava, think. Can't run out, the shards are blocking the way. Get up to the trees maybe, get out there and take a few second head start while it has to deal with the ice wall? Forget it, not enough time to escape. My shells aren't going to damage it much, and I doubt Aku has much to work with. What about the environment...the tree branches. True, dropping a tree branch on its head probably wouldn't do much. But if they could find a way to launch it, stick the Abomasnow with it...she formulated a plan, turning to look back at Aku and the other pokemon, seeing how they were faring.
