A New Night, A New Move

The sun was just beginning to set as Enzu made his way into Shadowhue Forest. As Enzu walked on the tall grass that was spread around the forest ground, he examined the trees that surrounded him. They would work well as both obstacles and targets for his training tonight.

Earlier today Enzu had bought a TM from Violet's dojo, it taught him the move Aerial Ace. Even though the move itself seemed straight forward, Enzu knew enough to not assume the difficulty of a technique. He had practiced the technique in his own home, but he wanted to try building up speed with more obstacles, and also wanted to include the possibilities of distractions. Enzu continued to walk through the woods until he would find a suitable spot to begin his training.

Okashi sighed as it seemed for the millionth time she has been kidnapped this year. She glared at the damn Murkrows carrying her over Shadowhue forest, wishing nothing more than to burn them to a crispt. A few seconds passed, "Fuck it." Lighting her back on fire and listening in delight to the birds shrill screams as they burned and dropped her. 'Heh.' Okashi sighed as she fell down toward a clearing in the forest, with what looks like another pokemon.

"Oh yeah, another adventure awaits," she sighs, "Why me?" She glared at the Murkrows as the fell someplace else. Wanting to beat them for kidnapping her, and Worse! Waking her up! "Damn birds." She looked up as the clearing drew nearer, ant to the lone pokemon in the clearing, "Look out below! Cyndaquil falling in!" She called out boredly, honestly, this happens to often.

Enzu heard some Murkrow's coming from up above and turned his head to watch him. However he was shocked to see them caring something, Enzu was the in the middle of trying to determine what it was that they were carrying when he saw a small burst of flame, followed by the pokemon they were carrying dropping to the ground. Enzu quickly moved out of the path of the falling pokemon.

Asit fell he heard the pokemon shout out 'Cyndaquil falling in!', which indicated to Enzu that it was obviously a Cydnaquil. Once it hit the ground Enzu walked over to it to check if it was okay. "Are you alright?" Enzu asked, the small pokemon fell from a pretty decent distance, so it probably had some damage done to it.

"Peachy...Just peachy." Okashi lazily got up from her spot on the dirt, slightly injured from the fall. "Stupid birds, -grumble grumble-" Okashi reached into her bag and pulled out her oran berry, eating it since she knew she would need the energy. She winced slightly and muttered something under her breath about 'headaches'. She Looked around the area, taking in the details since this is her first time here.

Finished with her sight seeing, Okashi tilted her head towards the pokemon beside her, studing him. "Who are you?" she asked lazily, wondering slightly why she always ended up in this situation. "Oh I'm Okashi by the way."

(Ate a Qran berry, Okashi has 19 energy again.)

"It's nice to meet you Okashi," Enzu said with a bow of his head, "My name is Enzu." Enzu was glad to see Okashi eat an oran berry, hopefully it would give her the necessary energy for her wounds to heal faster. "May I ask what exactly you did to aggravate the Murkrow's?" he asked, normally the bird pokemon did not simply carry pokemon away.

Okashi brought her paw up to her chin, thinking, then just shrugged. "No idea, bird pokemon always kidnap me for some reason i've never found out." She crossed her stubby arms and hmphed, " Oh, Nice to meet ya Enzu, a pleasure." She leaned back as she looked towards where the Murkrows landed, "I wonder if their still there, probably left by now. Didn't burn them to bad." She turned back to Enzu, "Whatcha doin' out here anyways? Training or somthin'?" She asked curiously.

Enzu followed Okashi's gaze towards where the Murkrow's fell, "Who knows," Enzu said, "Best to just leave them and leave things as they are. And as for what I'm doing here, I came to train a new move that I have been working on." Since Okashi had distracted Enzu, the sun was now mostly set and the darkness in Shadowhue Forest was beginning to deepen, meaning Enzu's training was mostly going to occur during the night.

Okashi smirked lightly before frowning, "Those birds woke me up and now i can't sleep, so mind if i watch? I got nothing better to do." she asked lightly, allowing her arms to rest at her size. She walked back slowly, before laying down a distance away. Okashi was content just laying there, but she held her head up, knowing wild Pokemon can come ag any time and attack. She stayed quiet, not feeling like talking any more.

"Um... sure," Enzu said, "That would be fine." Enzu was kind of shocked at the question Okashi had posed, he was not used to having somebody ask to watch him train, back when he ran the dojo it was the other way around. As Okashi went over to the side and sat down to watch him, Enzu turned and began to focus on one tree that we would use as his first target for the technique. Enzu took some time before beggining to run, he had to remember how to build up speed properly with the technique, he also had to look at the ground in front of him and determine if it was clear enough or not.

Okashi hummed softly, watching in silence as Enzu agreed to let her watch him train. Okashi sighed, allowing herself the pleasure of relaxing at long last, she rested her head on her paws, though still somewhat alert. She pondered quietly, 'How will I get out of here? It's not wise to transvers dungeons alone.' She looked to the pawniard, 'I'll ask 'im to help me later, for now i'll let 'im finish is trainin'.' She nodded to herself, then noticed Enzu focusing on a tree. So he started running towards it, picking up speed by the looks of it. She also noticed a disk not far of from him, she wondered if he noticed...

Once Enzu was prepared to begin, he started to run towards the tree, placing most of his energy into his legs as he ran. Enzu's speed began to grow rapidly, and white streaks were beginning to from around him as he ran. Even with the white streaks getting into Enzu's view, he kept his eyes trained on the tree that he was aiming to attack and he did not notice a different type of glimmer in the distance. Once Enzu believed he picked up enough speed, he started to commence the actual attack. Enzu quickly started to arc his movement so that he was going around the tree, and then quickly made a sharp turn and struck at the tree.

Enzu's strike on the tree left a deep cut in it's bark, but Enzu was still not sure whether or not he successfully made the attack. From what he understood, if the attack was done correctly, to someone else it would appear as if he temporarily vanished. He figured that perhaps with Okashi here, she could tell him whether or not he successfully executed the attack. Enzu then turned to Okashi to see if she would say anything without him asking her to.

Okashi watched as the pawniard focused once again, she watched carefully as he charged at the tree, completely bypassing the TM, She nodded her head slightly when he began to blur, He almost vanished but she could still see him, judging from his stature, she guessed that if he preformed what she assumed to be an Aerial Ace to it's full power, he would of cut the tree in half or almost. She didn't straighten up when he turned to her, she just regarded him coolly, "Your Aerial Ace, if i'm correct, is strong, Though I must ask." she stared at him, "It this you first time practicing it while gaining speed, since that seems to be what your trying to do. If so, you didn't vanish completely, close but not completely." She rested her head back on her paws, having sat up during her talk. "Oh, and there is a TM lying over near you." she said lazily pointing a paw at it.

Enzu let out a small sigh of disapproval in his own skill, he was right in that he needed to train this skill much more. Enzu was now starting to be glad that he had Okashi here, it meant that he could have somebody give him critiques on his skills and let him know if he was doing something wrong. When Okashi mentioned the TM, Enzu looked over in the direction that she was indicating and noticed the disk, he then walked over and picked it up. "It contains the move False Swipe," he said. Enzu had heard about this move, it was definitely a move that Enzu could learn, and also one that could fit his fighting style well. "Would you mind if I keep this?" Enzu asked Okashi, "I feel I could really get something out of this."

"Sure, i can't learn it anyways." The pokemon lazily got up from her spot and sat up, staring at the other pokemon with her sqwinty eyes, "Show me how you gain speed again, ok?" she asked as she watched, she may be able to help him gather speed if Aerial ace is anything like double edge. She thought to herself silently, 'Aerial Ace is a move based on speed and cutting power, while my Double Edge focuses more on brut force then cutting power, but both require speed to do. If I see how he starts and gain speed, i should be able to tell what needs to be changed to make the move work.' Okashi nodded to herself.

"Thank you," Enzu said with a nod when Okashi said that he could keep the TM, Enzu then walked over to the side and placed it into his bag. Once the TM was in his bag Enzu walked over and this time placed some extra distance between him and the tree, that way he would have more of an opportunity to build speed. Enzu took a deep breath and then began to start running again, attempting to build up the speed necessary to execute the attack.
