Cart Crash in Cattail

It was tiring, carrying around a rather heavy cart on its sole two wheels. It was originally a small Ponyta cart, but the wheels had been replaced with smaller ones to match the size of the drowzee that pulled it with his two hands. The cart and the drowzee moseyed along the edge of the marsh, not wanting to fall in. He was just a bankrupt businessman, who actually tried to look out for the customers, that was trying to find a new source of business after being thrown out of the business world in his previous home.
On the thin drowzee's head, was a green hood with a gold border. Some strange marks were etched into the hood, but they were in a language Morpheus had never learned. The hood hung limply on his head and shoulders as he trudged along the painstakingly slow terrain, which was different and more muddy from the one he was walking on earlier. He pulled with all his might, wanting to bring his possessions with him, despite how few they were. It was too late when he realized that he was at the top of a hill of mud, and the mud was slowly sliding, but picking up the pace.
It wasn't long before both the yelling drowzee and his cart were both falling into the pit, and mud coated both the Drowzee and the cart. Morpheus groaned, and looked up at the slope of wet mud that was before him, getting the cart out of this pit wouldn't be easy...

A young Ralts was sat, holed up in one of the few trees that could be found the marshy area, humming quietly to herself. She didn't like this area at all, though only for the fact that it inconvenienced her so; the mud and water on the ground was sometimes too deep for her to be able walk through it without getting herself stuck in the more bog-like areas of the marsh. Because of this, she had remained in this tree for a while now. It gave her a better view of where she was going, and allowed her to see the marshes as more than just inconvenient wetlands. When you saw them from a viewpoint that wasn't eyes only just above the water level, you could see the white flowers that sprouted all over the grassier parts of the marsh, and where the water was clearer, the reflection of the blue sky between the flowers. It was as if the green grasses were growing on clouds of white rather than the other way around.
Humming a soft tune to herself, she marvelled at the marshes, the lyrics to said tune having been lost to time. She continued her humming until she was abruptly interrupted by the sharp yells of someone nearby. Ceasing her humming, Kirie glanced behind her before clambering into the branches on the other side of the tree, where she would hopefully be more able to spot where the yell had come from.

Lifting her head slightly so that she could see past the green helmet-like hair that all Ralts possessed, she spotted a Drowzee not all that far away, with a cart that appeared to be stuck in one of those muddier parts of the marshes that surrounded them. Gently climbing down from the tree, Kirie carefully made her way across the grassier sections towards the Drowzee to see if she could help in some way. She assumed that she would not be much help, due to her small size and stature, and lack of any practical psychic type moves to aid him, though she didn't think it polite to turn a blind eye when someone was clearly struggling.

Morpheus picked himself up and out of the mud, shaking off the mud from his yellow and brown skin. He struggled back up the slope before turning and looking down at his cart, it seemed to have sunken into the mud. The drowzee was a bit irritated, but the look didn't appear on his face as he heard the shuffling of another pokemon. The Drowzee turned to see a small white figure with a green cap and a red horn, he turned towards the other pokemon, "Hello!" he said happily, being a more social creature for his nature he asked, "Is there anyway you can help me in this predicament? My cart is stuck!"

Kirie moved closer to the owner of the cart, continuing to keep her position on the grassier areas so not to become stuck in the marshlands like this Drowzee's cart had.
"I can try..." she replied quietly, once again aware that none of her moves would do her any good, "I don't know any psychic type moves though..."
Pausing, the young Ralts observed the cart. It wasn't too far into the mud, just far enough that it was hard to pull out of the bog like conditions.
"H-how about a large branch?" she suggested, trailing off in her thoughts after speaking.

"Yeah...a branch might work..." the drowzee looked around, hoping to find an immediate branch big enough to assist him, but his search was fruitless, "There might be one big enough in the Mire..."
Morpheus looked in the direction of the mire, which was known to be dangerous due to its population of poison types. Morpheus, luckily, was a psychic type. Psychic was effective against poison types, but that did not change the fact that pokemon there tended to be powerful. The drowzee wondered if he should ask the ralts to come with him, but asking a complete stranger to help with such a dangerous task did not seem right to him.

Finally reaching the Drowzee in person, having taken a small detour around an especially deep looking marshy area, Kirie blinked.
"I can help you look, if you'd like," the Ralts offered quietly after a short moment of thought, brushing her green hair out of her face with a small white paw in order to look up at the Drowzee with a hesitant smile.

The drowzee was a bit hesitant on accepting the Ralts's offer of assistance, but gladly accept after some thought. He did not want to bother the Ralts with his troubles, and he would have been asking her to do something dangerous.
He had decided to accept the offer, since after all the ralts seemed to want to help. He would probably only hurt her feelings by not accepting the offer. He smiled and spoke, "Where are my manners? I'm Morpheus, I own a service called Dream Catchers...well now it's more of "Catcher" since I'm the only employee."

The Ralts smiled again as the Drowzee accepted her offer of help. She knew she probably wouldn't be much help to him, but she'd do what she could to assist him in reclaiming his cart that was currently losing a battle with the depths of the marshes.
"I'm Kirie," she replied, "I don't really own a service or anything," she smiled with a small, quiet chuckle, "Pleased to make your acquaintance."

The drowzee looked back to his cart of belongings, and spoke, "Well, I guess we better get going then huh?" as he began to make his way deeper into the marshes towards the older trees. There was sure to be a branch they could break or something near the ages old trees. He was pretty sure they would not mind losing a limb, since they were able to regenerate their limbs and didn't need it to survive. The drowzee stopped when he heard a noise, "Huh?" he said before something came splashing out of some reeds into the waters before them.

Kirie nodded without glancing back to the slowly sinking cart. The Ralts followed the Drowzee as they began to traverse deeper into the marshes, her red eyes glancing up at the tall trees and their large array of branches. As she marvelled at the eerie branches, appreciating them in their own unique way, a Wooper splashed out of the water, shooting up from a patch of reeds and making Kirie jump at the sudden movement.

Morpheus blinked as a wooper crashed into the scene, its tail thrashing about in a seemingly enraged manner, as if it wanted to fight. Morpheus smiled awkwardly and asked the feral pokemon, "Is something wrong?"
The wooper merely glared at him, as if resenting him and the ralts for seemingly no reason. The drowzee flinched, but kept back any signs of fear from that point onward as the wooper slapped its tail against the water aggressively, as if preparing to attack. It did not seem to have any intention of answering his question, aside from an oncoming attack!
