The Traveler

(What's with the penalty for less then three sentences Vic? It makes this post seem amateur even though I haven't fully developed this character).

It was in the middle of the day, around noon. It was a busy day, with crowds of people everywhere. Mondel was picking some seeds out of their shells seated on the porch of a shop. He had high hopes of learning trade secrets from the shop owner but was turned away. "Why do they always push me off." He sulked. This was unbecoming of him, and yet -- he just couldn't help it. Couldn't anyone take time off of their busy schedule to help him?

The crowds were broken up by a small ball of brown fur running through the streets with a ninja-like headband wrapped around his neck. Geo was making little karate noises as he jumped from annoyed head to head, admiring his athletic ability, "Wooooooo!!! Kyaaaa- AAAAH!!!!" Suddenly, he was tumbling, having jumped off of a Snorlax's head, with nothing below him to land on but ground. The eevee rolled along the ground, smacking right into a small shop, "Uuuh...Owowowow..." When he popped his head up, the eevee had large, sad eyes, "S-sorry, mister. Did I break anything?"

There seemed to be a lot of commotion in the crowd. What appeared to be a brown fuzz ball went flying towards Mondel and the shop. "WA-AH!" Mondel shouted as he jumped out of the way. CRASH! Inside the shop a vase smashed against the floor.. "Aye! You kids have better shoo off this instant! If I catch you.. Your going to be sorry!" An angry spearow hollered. Wings flapped from inside the shop which likely meant that the owner was coming out. "H-h-hurry! Quick follow me!" Mondel shouted at the Eevee. He would lead the Eevee around the building to a fountain.

The ball of fur quickly shook off his pain and rushed around to the fountain, "Sorry, old man! I'll pay you back someday!!" When they got to the fountain, the Eevee took a couple of breaths before speaking, "So...that wasn't your shop? I'm used to seeing Kecleons running the shop around here. Sorry if I'm being speciest..." He scratched the back of his head, and his paw touched the cloth of his headband. His face went blank for a moment as he shoved the headband into his pack, then turned back to a nervous smile as he waited for the Kecleon's answer.

The ball of fur had recovered quicker than Mondel expected. That headband! Could this Eevee be some sort of hero? Mondel thought this as he caught his breath. "Huff.. Huff.. Phew! That was a little too close." He commented. He turned to the stranger and smiled. "We prefer to stay out of fights.." Mondel muttered. "--But enough of that. What's with that headband?" He asked.

The Eevee nodded like he understood, he didn't find many Kecleon in dungeons without them being a shop or something similar. When the chameleon pokemon asked about his headband, Geo shyed up, his ears folding behind his head and his tail curling around his leg, "I uh...I dunno...it's just...a thing I found." If anyone knew his secret, that he liked to run around as a pretend ninja, he'd be ruined!

Mondel scratched his chin as he was thinking about that headband. After some thought he leaned up against the fountain. So this Eevee.. can it be that he was just pretending to be a hero? The thought was unsettling when he realized that the eevee was embarrassed about it.

"It's okay, your secret is safe with me!" he exclaimed.

He clasped his hands over his mouth when he realized how loud he was speaking.

"Erk! I mean.. Sorry." he said.
