The beginning of glory. (Team Victory Signup)

Div pushed open the door to the guild. The room Div entered had tree stumps put down here and there, possibly seats. There was also framed pictures of pokemon along the walls. Div also spotted some stairs going deeper into the guild. He was expecting it to be full of different pokes, but surprisingly, there wasn't a single poke. Odd, where is everyone? Div thought. Maybe they are somewhere else in the guild, or off doing tasks, Div thought.

"Hey Soft, do you know where everyone is?"

"Um...maybe we're the first ones in today?" she said, although she really had no clue. She too expected there to be more guild members buzzing about and conversing while showing off their ranks. The guildmaster's room was not too far away, but the door was closed. "Should we knock?" she questioned, pointing to the shut wooden door.

Div nodded. It probably was just coincidence that they nobody was around. Div looked to where Soft had pointed, and there indeed was a wooden door. He and Soft walked over to the door. "I don't see why not. It would be rude not to, now wouldn't it?" Div'et said.

But, he couldn't help but wonder if he should knock or not. The Guildmaster could be busy, or not even there. It would make sense if she wasn't, considering everyone else was gone. Had he just missed them? Did they go on some sort of expedition or event? Div mustered his courage and knocked on the door three solid times.

"Come in~" chimed a voice from the inside. Sofie opened the door and there sat Faye the meganium."Have a seat," she told them.
Sofie did what Faye told them to and sat on one of the hard tree stumps, her wool as a cushion.
"Um...are you the guildmaster here?" she asked rather shyly, realizing how she had been terrified of facing the master of the guild.
"Why yes I am, and why might you two be here today?" said Faye.
"U-u-um..." stuttered Sofie, unable to speak clearly due to her fear of this moment. All eyes were now on Div, even hers. She now depended on him to answer the question, and if he couldn't speak, then things would get very awkward.

Div also entered the room and sat on the other stump. He was waiting for Soft to answer, but she didn't. Soft and the Guildmaster turned their heads and looked at him. Div'et took a quick look at soft, then back at the Guildmaster. Div didn't enjoy being put on the spot, but if Soft wouldn't do it than he would. Again, he gathered his courage and said to the Guildmaster,

"We are here to sign up as guild members. This is Soft, and I'm Div'et."

She mouthed the words thank-you to Div'et and slumped down in her seat. She would have to apologize later, as there was currently a very important meganium sitting in front of them.
Faye had waited patiently for the answer and kept a kind smile on her face. It grew wider as she heard the words "sign up" and "guild members." A team had finally come to join! They would be the first too as surprisingly, no one else has found their calling to be an explorer yet.
"Oh, what great news!" she began, "The guild has been waiting for an eager pair to finally wander in! You guys are in luck, as we have plenty of rooms open, now let's see..." she said, her voice trailing off as she began to rummage around in her drawers for something. She pulled out a pen and a clipboard and began to jot down a few words."Now then, let's begin with your names...what are your names?" she said, looking up from her words.
"U-um I'm Sofie and this is...Div'et." said Sofie in a quiet voice as she finally mustered up the courage to speak once more.
"What is your team called?" said Faye with another quesiton. Sofie looked to Div'et again, she was stumped this time. Both literally and figuratively. They hadn't exactly decided on a team name earlier.
"What should we say?" she whispered to the sandshrew. Faye simply waited as she did before with the same amiable grin on her face.

Div nodded when Sofie mouthed the words ' Thank you '. But when Div'et heard he and Soft were the first to sign up at the guild, he was surprised. Where had everyone gone? What happened? Not that he was complaining about being first. Div was happy he was the first to sign up with Soft, and it made Faye happy that she had members of her guild.

Div'et watched as she pulled a pencil and clipboard from a drawer. And when Faye asked for his and Soft's team name, she looked at him yet again. Div pondered for a moment. Team name, Team name, what should our team name be... Div thought. Then it came to him. It was a fairly good team name, and he wouldn't want the awkward silence to carry on.

"Put us down for Team Victory." Div'et said, looking at Soft to make sure the name was okay with her.

Team Victory? The name was pretty original. She would have preferred a name like, team Cutiepies or team Buttercups, but Team Victory could stick. She nodded at Div'et , then smiled at Faye.
"Alright then, team Victory it is," said Faye, recording the team name on the sheet. She looked back up with the same expression she had the many times before."Well then, welcome to the guild. Here is an explorer kit for both of you," she said, handing them both sealed packages, "Both of them contain your badges and your bags that you'll need on your journies. If your partner ever faints you can use your badges to teleport and escape safely. For now, you two are Normal rank, which means you are beginners. The more missions and tasks you complete, the higher your rankings will get. Any questions?" she asked. Sofie had nothing to say and sat there quietly.

Div'et watched as she wrote her names and the title of her team on the clipboard. Well, it was official. Div was finally a guild member, with a new friend as well. He took the Explorer kit from Faye, and then said "Thank you," to her with a nod. He was eager to open it, but it would be impolite to open it while he was in the presence of Faye. Instead, Div set the Explorers Kit next to his chair on the floor. When Faye asked if he or Soft had any questions, Div'et replied with

"Yes, I do have one question. Are there sleeping quarters here, and where can we find them?" Div'et asked.

"Well looks like your one step ahead! I was just about to get to that," she said with a chuckle, "You will both share room number one, I'll bring you there just follow me. Maybe I'll even give a little tour on the way."
As Faye wished, Sofie leaped up out of her seat and followed Faye out the room. It wasn't long before she returned, as she had completely forgotten to get her exploration gear. Quickly, she zoomed back into the room, picked up the package, and went out again to follow the guildmaster.
This was it, they were both on their way to fulfilling their dreams. She could hardly wait to get started on their first mission.

"That sounds fantastic! Thank you," said Div'et. As Faye got up, he did as well, picking up his exploration kit as well. He, Faye and Soft exited the room, when Soft quickly ran back into the room. Div looked back at her to see what she was doing, and he saw Soft getting her explorers kit. He wanted for her at the entrance of the door until she caught up with her and Faye. He followed Faye back into the lobby type area, and waited for her to lead on.

Faye lead them through the lobby, explaining the paintings of pokemon were the greatest explorers known to the world. Next, they were taken down the stairs and past the mess hall. Faye told them that they would be eating there for the rest of their time here. Eventually they came to a stop at a long corridor. Their room was the first one, so they didn't have to go far.
"Here we are," she said, opening the door to their new home.

Div'et follow Faye and Soft through the lobby, listening to his Guildmaster talk about the pokemon in the paintings. He then follow them down the stairs and listened to her talk about the mess hall. And after one last flight of stairs, Faye lead them to their room. Div looked inside to see where he would be staying for a long time. It was a simple room, three beds and a table at the side of the room. He walked inside and placed his exploration kit on the table. Then, he jumped onto the nearest bed.

"It's been a while since I've lied in a bed." Div'et said with a sigh of relief. The journey from his hometown to now had been a long and hard one. Div had slept on the ground, or in trees. And trees aren't the most... comfortable to sleep in when you are a pokemon that belongs on the ground.

Sofie walked normally into the room and set her kit next to her partner's. She looked to Faye with a smile and said her thanks. Faye left once they were both done with anything they had to say and began to head back to her room.
"Oh, and dinner is before bed. Don't forget!" she told them, as the green pokemon disappeared from the doorway. Sofie made sure that stuck in her head so they wouldn't go to bed hungry in case Div'et also forgot.

Div was just enjoying his bed. His eyes were closed, but he heard Soft walk into the room. She and Faye talked about something, but he wasn't really listening. Thoughts of home crept up on him. The cold, but peaceful desert nights. Grassveil seemed like a wonderful place, and now he was signed up at a guild, like he always wanted. Still, he would certainly miss his home. Div took a sigh of relief, and then got up from his bed.

"Lets take a look at what these Explorer Kits contain, shall we?" Div'et said, walking over to the table. He retrieved his Explorer Kit, and opened it. Inside was a messenger bag, which he assumed was the Explorers Bag Faye had talked about. There was also a badge, the Explorers Badge. And a rolled up piece of paper. Curious of what the piece of paper was, he pulled took it from the box. Div removed the string that kept the piece of paper rolled up, and the paper unrolled in his hands. It was a map. It showed all the different places around Grassveil.

"Hey Soft, take a look at this," Div'et said. He handed the map over to Soft, and continued examining the Explorers Bag and Badge.
