A small Archen approached the entrance of the cave, taking a deep breath as he prepared to go in. He had never been this far out before, though it did feel rather nice. His rock type was at home in this dried and heated area. Acro looked at the sky, it must have been before noon since the sun still had yet to touch the middle of the sky. He wondered if he would be able to soar that sky soon. "You wont do it." "Never going to happen." He jumped as he heard the voices, he looked around wildly, seeing nothing. He dismissed it as his own imagination, after all they had sounded like George and Astrid, why would they be out here? | |

| William stopped dead in his tracks for a moment before facepalming. Had he himself not cursed his Poison resistance for preventing him from smelling the Weezing? And now, when Acro was actually smelling something, he had decided to simply ignore it? What had he been thinking? And why was he complaining and monologueing while the Archen was being attacked by a dangerous outlaw? Just as he had done so many times before, the Gengar began channeling the darkest thoughts he could find into one vile, blackish mass of dark horror, which he then launched at the opponent. At least Acro and he knew, who their opponent was instead of having to rely on guessing and analyzing others' behaviour and some Pokémon with strange abilities while avoiding being killed by these very same outlaws. Sounds, as if it would make a pretty cool game though... | |

| Acro screeched as he smashed the rocks into the Weezing, who in turn began to spit out a gas. The gas was black and difficult to see though, Smoke Screen, though Acro did not know the name of this attack. The Archen screeched in surprise and tried to back out of the smoke, but it filled the place. He could not see anything, but assumed that the weezing could. He remained silent as doubles of himself began to appear around the place. He was using his own attack, Double Team. The Archen would try to wait out the smoke screen, and try to keep an eye on the weezing if he could see him. The only problem was for him that both gengar and Weezing were purple and had a slightly roundish shape to them... | |

| William may have no problem with seeing in darkness, this was different. There wasn't simply a lack of light, but rather thousands and thousands of tiny particles blocking his view. Well...at least he wouldn't run into a wall... Still, he couldn't just start attacking randomly, as he didn't want to hurt Acro. So, what could he do? Maybe a Confuse Ray would help, not used in the traditional way though, but rather to act as a light source, which might enable him to see through the thick fog, that had covered the area. And after focussing, a surprised Gengar could see, that it did...absolutely nothing. While the small, yellowish ball did emit some light, it did not improve the Ghost type's vision at all. They were in trouble. And they would have to find a solution soon... | |

| It was at this time that the Archen wished he had a move flying types commonly had, Gust. He could simply blow all this smoke aside and be done with it. One of the many Archens Screeched as it was attacked, but the Archen was a fraud. The real acro was hidden among the fakes, he tried to think. They needed some way to get rid of this smokescreen. The Weezing had free roam in his place with it. Acro looked around before noticing his tail, which was flat and wide like a normal Archen. He had an idea. He darted to the center of the screen and had all of his doubles follow him. The doubles along with Acro's tail began to glow, all five of the archen leaped up used iron tail, having their tails so it was flat once it struck the ground. From what he thought, the force would cause the smoke screen to clear a bit, 'had he been right?' was the question. | |

| Acro had apparently been sleeping in his physics class, as the force of impact would not have any effect on the smoke clouding the area at all. However the tail movement and the resulting disturbance in the air might just be enough to get the smoke away from a bit of space for now. Would it work? That was still unclear. It was a fact, however, that the sudden sound- and shockwave surprised William for quite a bit. While his Levitate ability protected him from being knocked over, the surprise and the strange, loud sound, which resonated through the cave were enough to make him flinch at least. | |

| Acro wanted to face-wing as the plan failed, but luckily one of his doubles had struck the weezing that had been in the wrong spot in the wrong time. Acro screeched in surprise as a purple gas joined the dark gas. Acro made sure to stay away from the purple gas, but the gas had surrounded the Weezing! It was Poison Gas! Acro began to wonder if this pokemon had any real attacks other than gas attacks like this. At least there was one good thing to this, the purple gas temporarily revealed the Weezing long enough for the Archen to reach into his bag and pull out his collection of sticks. He threw one at the weezing, and put the rest back in the bag. | |

| Acro's initial plan may have failed, but several unforseen advantages had been created. Not only was the Weezing damaged, but it had also set free gas of another hue, making it much easier to spot in this thick Smokescreen. Thus the Gengar decided to charge straight at the center of these new gases in an attempt to knock their opponent out of the smoke or at least to hold onto it, so it would be easier to hit later. Both the toxic fumes and the danger of smashing into a wall posed little threat to the shadowy Pokémon after all. | |

| Acro screeched in surprise as there was a loud sound of rocks being smashed and the purple fog suddenly moving and leaving a trail behind it, moved towards a wall. Acro wondered if this was the work of William, but decided not to go find out. He would only become poisoned if he neared the toxic gas, and he had not brought any Pecha Berries with him. He began to wonder if a poison type could become poisoned, and hoped for Williams safety. The weezing gave off a screech and let loose a Smog attack. | |

| With both his Ghost type and his Poison type providing resistance against attacks of the Poison type, William was rather unimpressed concerning the Smog attack, it only provoking a small cough in the Gengar. While he could retaliate with a Smog attack himself now, William decided to think of type advantages instead, once more concentrating the darkest and negative thoughts into a painful sphere, which he launched directly at whatever part it was he was clinging to. Hopefully this battle would be over soon, as Acro did not possess the same resistance to toxins the other combattants had and the Gengar would hate for him to have to suffer. | |

| "Useless" "Negat-" The voices had begun once more only to be suddenly cut off and the feelings be sapped away from Acro once more. The archen had no idea what was going on, but did not know whether to be happy that the voices were stopping or be terrified that it might mean something bad was happening. The weezing, who had managed to blind itself in all of the gas coming from it, had no idea what was coming to him. It just knew that it was probably going to be attacked soon because of the Gengar, so it decided to try and use its last ditch effort, and began to glow a bright white color, Self Destruct, forgetting that William was a ghost type and would not be affected. (Don't trust Kat with this Shiz...) | |

| Blasting away at the Weezing, William didn't even notice the Weezing's attack until it was too late. With a sound loud enough to rupture the eardrums of anyone from Grassveil to the Sky Pyramid the Poison type burst, a huge explosion filling the cavern. As the blinding light and sounds made it impossible to make out, what in the name of Cel-...of Lun-...darn, he couldn't even think straight anymore. What in the name of Ar-Ce-Us was going on. Thus the Gengar had no choice but to simply stand there, waiting for the dust to settle, worried for his prehistorical friend's safety. While his Rock type should have protected him, a Selfdestruct still was a powerful attack, that should under no circumstances be underestimated. | |

| Acro was blasted back into the corridors, he landed roughly and looked to see rocks flying his way. He glowed a purple aura and tried to create a rock like shield from rocks that flew past him. He suceeded, the shield protected him from the flying debris and boulders. The archen was coughing though, the combination of dirt, smoke, and poisonous gasses filled the air and polluted it. The arhcen let down his shield and tried to keep from closing his watering eyes so he could see. "William?" he managed to call, not able to go into the source of of all of the stench and dirt, "Did it knock itself out?" he asked hopefully. | |

| "I-I guess so...it's the drawback to the power of a Selfdestruct attack after all...", William stammered, relieved to hear, that Acro was okay or alive at least. "Now we only need to find that spoon, I guess...I'm not too familiar with Psychic type attacks, but I wonder, what differentiates this Bent Spoon from a normal bent spoon. Couldn't we just bend a spoon and ignore all of this? Oh, and are you okay? You aren't hurt too badly, are you?" Maybe William envied Acro for his happiness, but for his typing the Gengar pitied him in this moment, the Ghost type having had a major advantage in this battle due to his typing. | |

| Acro coughed from the polluted air once more, he took a step forward to try to get near his friend, only to step on something. He looked down with his watering eyes and saw the blur of something silver. He wiped his eyes and managed to clear his own vision quickly enough to identify the spoon as the bent spoon. "I-I found it!" he spoke, he placed the item in his bag for safe keeping. They had found the item, now was the time to leave and collect the reward of the mission. Acro looked for his friend in the dust, but saw nothing, "I'm going to go a bit back and wait for you there, I can barely breathe much less see in all of this." Acro traveled back the way they had came until the air was finally clear enough from him to breathe easily and rub the dirt out of his eyes and be able to see. | |

| "Finally...now let's get out of here as quickly as possible.", William agreed. After some aimless stumbling around in the obscured depths of the cave, the Gengar found himself in broad daylight again. Apparently he had moved through a wall of the cave without having noticed it. Thus the Ghost type decided to simply walk back to the entrance, retracing the group's steps from there on, although he decided to constantly hide in the shadows out of fear of attracting that...that thing again. With the passing of a few more minutes, he had found his friend again. "Honey, I'm home!", he joked. | |
