| And of course Acro's ability had to kick in right now. Of course he had to become desperate. So it would be up to William to do this. Being able to see clearly again, the Gastly summoned up another Shadow Ball, directing it at the Gabite. What did Acro's ability do, that caused him to become this desperate whenever he was hurt?
The Gabite however didn't seem to ask itself those questions, but rather seemed to be focussed on eliminating the threat of a prehistoric bird, using Dragon Rage in an attemt to accomplish this. | |

| You can't dodge this He thought, You can't! He was hit by the attack, dealing a set amount of damage to the prehistoric bird. It was the riolu all over again, You're weak, this is why your teammates left you He didn't give up completely though, he was still using double team, creating all kinds of copies of himself to try to avoid any more attacks. The real him was hiding behind a large boulder. He would have to rest a bit and try to fight his ability, hopefully William would be able to take down the Gabite before it realized what was going on with the copies. | |

| Meanwhile the Shadow Ball hit the Dragon type, causing it to stumble backwards, holding its head in pain as the dark memories were tormenting its spirit. Yet, it was still standing. Something had to be done, and that fast. But while William was still conjuring the next shadowy blob of pain, the Gabite, blind with rage, was going to attack again. In its anger, it decided to attack the Archen with Take Down again. Thus it stepped back a bit, focussed and charged at the Archen with full speed. Running towards the Rock type, it suddenly saw another Archen. And another. And another. Too late did it realize its mistake as it passed through the Double Team clone and...fell. The Gabite had charged over the edge of the crevice, having been unable to stop. As it descended into the dark abyss, it fired a Dragon Rage into the skies, but to no avail. No matter how long William listened, there was no sound of it landing to be heard. Maybe the canyon was too deep to hear anything. Maybe it had clawed into a wall. But one thing was for sure. It had lost this battle. The Smog William had used, seemed to have caused an item to emerge from the depths of the Gabite's den, covered under a bit of dirt. After getting it, William suddenly remembered Acro again, floated over to him and asked concernedly: "Are you okay? You don't look too well.."- This dice is not existing.

| "I-I'm fine. I-Is it gone?" Acro's ability had caused him to become terrified. He was shivering and looking around nervously. You're weak, weaklings should be scared of other pokemon he thought. He looked to the ghastly hopefully, unaware of his shacking being noticeable. He blinked as memories of facing a big rocky snake pokemon last time he was in this part of the region flooded back to him, they were able to beat that thing. Why couldn't he beat the stupid gabite this time? You only grow weaker his ability convinced him. | |

| Unfortunately for Acro his shivering was very noticeable indeed. Would he have been shaking only a bit more, it might have caused an earthquake. Worried, William answered his friend: "Yeah, it's gone...you don't look fine at all, though. But you did great in that battle. I don't think I could have done it on my own. Especially not during that Sandstorm. So...do you feel well enough to continue, or should we wait here for a moment?" | |

| "I-I'm fine!" Acro tried to convince William, though he never was best with persuasion. He finally began to calm down and his shivering grew less and eventually ceased. He felt his fear die down and the "voice" of the ability ceased. "Yeah...I really am fine now..." he was quieter than usual. He always hated when his ability activated, there was no way to fight it and it had such a huge effect on his personality. He wished he could just get rid of the stupid thing, but even if he evolved the ability would remain. | |

| "Well...if you say so...", William mumbled, still not entirely convinced. But Acro would probably not change his opinion, and he seemed to have calm down a little, so he decided for it to be okay to continue. "So...let's go, I guess. I don't think we want to run into another of those Pokémon." Apparently everyone had something, that was causing trouble for them. For William it was his type, for Acro his ability. The Gastly couldn't help but wonder, what that thing might be for all the other Pokémon he had met on his journey. For now, though, the best course of action would probably be to keep pushing forward. Otherwise, they would never accomplish anything. | |

| "Y-Yeah" Acro got up and followed below and just behind the ghastly. He hoped his ability wouldn't activate again, since it hadn't activated that badly in a long time. Actually, the ability had never acted that badly. He pushed the thought out of his mind and spoke, "So, what brought you here? I-I came here to find items...maybe something useful...to keep what just happened from happening...again.." ((Sorry for bad post ;A;)) | |

| "Uh...if I remember this correctly, we had already been talking about this...I came here to find valuable items to sell, just like you. Are you sure, you are okay?" William was relatively sure, that Archen were incapable of learning Amnesia, and the possibility of a very minor case of serious brain damage was there to be considered as well. "Maybe you should try to find a Cofagrious to get its ability. Or you find a Pokémon to use Worry Seed on you. Just remember one thing. You are a great fighter and you should never give up." | |

| "But it wouldn't last long right? It would just eventually wear off and come back. Also yes i'm fine, I-" He was interrupted by falling over, a bundle had been on the path that he hadn't seem, "I'm just having an off day..." he picked himself up and shook the dirt off of his feathers. He hopped to turn and investigated the bundle, opening it to find: - This dice is not existing.

| "I don't know...I've never met a Cofagrious before. And neither someone with the attack Worry Seed. But I'm sure there's a way to overcome this." Upon noticing the Archen fall over, William couldn't help but ask: "Are you okay...again? We should get going. Maybe that Gabite got out of the ravine. In any case, getting this done quickly is the safest and most efficient way in my opinion." Hopefully Acro would overcome this depression soon. To be honest, William hadn't got the slightest clue on the topic of how to deal with this problem. But it would all be okay...right? | |

| A bellow in the distance said, no. Acro looked at the bundle to see a stun seed. He looked back in the direction of the roar and swallowed, "Looks like the gabite had a friend..." He stood up and looked to the ghastly, "Run, Hide, or fight?" he asked. He didn't care whichever one the ghastly chose, there were many hiding spots, Acro was fast and could get away, and this pokemon could have been weaker than the gabite, right? - This dice is not existing.

| "I just had to say it, didn't I?" If it wouldn't have cost him half his life energy, William would have cursed quite a lot right now. Seeing Acro or rather not seeing him already, the Gastly quickly floated into the crevice, hoping for the powerful Steel type to pass by. Just why did something worse have to happen, just when the Ghost type thought it couldn't get any worse? What was next? Mewtwo? The apocalypse? Just as he had finished that thought, William could already hear the metallic body of the serpentine Pokémon scraping over the rocky ground, creating a sound, that was comparable to claws on a chalkboard. Small stones and sand were pushed into the canyon, falling into the abyss right in front of the Gastly's eyes. | |

| The steeliz was weaving its way up the wall in and out of the ground. I gave a bellow and passed right through the ghost type, not really trying to attack it in attempt to try and get onto the surface. It arced and landed on the ground with an earth shaking shock that knocked Acro off of his feet. Acro looked at the steelix, now he was terrified, and it wasn't because of his ability. He squeaked and hid behind a boulder, hoping the giant pokemon hadn't seen him yet. | |

| William had been lucky. Even though he was mistaken about the direction, he expected the Steelix to be coming from, it didn't seem to have noticed him, or at least not tried to attack him. However, as the huge Pokémon landed on the edge of the canyon, the minor earthquake it caused, caused larger stones to break off and fall down the ravine as well. Since they were Rock ype attacks, William couldn't just ignore them, so the Gastly frantically tried to avoid the falling boulders, one thought constantly overcoming his mind, causing a stabbing pain. "Was Acro okay?" | |
