It was another gloomy night, that had fallen upon the Cattail Marshes, the fog slowly creeping up from the swampy ground, forming a white blanket over the unstable ground. A few swarms of bug types, mostly Volbeat and Illumise were dancing in the air, their few rays of light casting pale shadows on the ground below and forming bizarre images, taking the dreamy viewer's mind on a journey to worlds unknown. And in the middle of all that, a lone, dark figure was floating, wearing a black cape, his face obscured by a cowl he had pulled over his face. That figure was William the Gastly, having taken a break from his team members to calm down and dream in the serenity of the strange, silent aura, that surrounded this place in the middle of the night. The night had always been William's favourite time. It was a time of calmness and thought, only the moon and stars as distant, silent companions on his journey through his own mind and feelings. In the past, William had often gazed into the nightly sky, dreaming about a better future. One, in which he didn't have to live a secluded life, all alone. Now, that he had a team, he sometimes took the time to return and stare into the celestial abyss again to reflect. He thought of what had happened, he thought of what was, and he thought of what would be..

| Meanwhile, William was still floating next to the Hoothoot, which had apparently lost its consciousness upon seeing the Ghost type. Trying to get as much of his energy back as possible, before something, friend or foe returned, he was looking all around for any possible threats. Would the Corphish return or not? Probably not. His typing caused him to be at a disadvantage and he probably was several levels below the Quagsire, so the Gastly decided to simply wait until something would allow him to free the trapped Pokémon. As he looked around, he spotted a strange clump of dirt in the marshes, floating over to investigate. It was: - This dice is not existing.
The Quagsire meanwhile, furious to have lost its protection, decided to use Slam to crush the Corphish before word could get out to the guild. It had to be stopped. At all cost.

| The Corphish took the blow straight on, getting sent tumbling to the ground. The sentret, scared, ran away as fast as it could, not fast enough as the Quagsire begun chasing the poor sentret, the Quagsire almost had it in his grasp before it got knocked into the murky water by a superpower pincer to the side. Auctor panted as he was barely able to make it in time, he didn't want another hostage situation on his hand.... pincers |

| Using one of the many pools of liquid to clean the object, William removed the dirt from the clump of earth, which revealed itself to be a Cheri Berry and a relatively fresh one at that. Meanwhile the Hoothoot was still unconscious, the Corphish was still away and the Gastly was still handless. Since there was no progress to be made, William tried to pass time by forming small figures out of poisonous mist, using his Smog attack to do so.
The Quagsire was getting desperate. Between the various hits it had to take and the exhaustion from capturing the hostages and fighting so much, it was willing to try anything now. Thus it used Mud Shot, aiming at the Sentret instead in the hope of the Corphish taking the hit.

| Auctor gritted his teeth and rushed infront of the Sentret, taking the mud shot to the face and looking away "Gah damnit!" He opened his pincers and shot bubbles out of them at the last direction he saw the Quagsire as he was temporarily blinded by some of the mud in his eyes. He then rubbed his eyes with his pincers "D-did I win?" Auctor asked as he looked around, regaining his eyesight and composure |

| Since there wasn't much to do for William, he had begun to count the leaves, that had fallen off of the tree during his strugle with the Gulpin. It was a boring job, but it let him relax his mind again, especially after having to recall so many painful memories again with his Shadow Ball attack.
The Quagsire grinned. That was probably the worst thing the Corphish could have done, save for going to a Justin Bibarel concert or something similar. The Water type's ability, Water Absorb had completely negated the damage done and instead converted it into healing! However, a few bubbles had missed the outlaw, instead striking a tree and breaking off a branch, which coincidentally landed right on the Quagsire's head, knocking it unconscious. The semi-impossible had been done. The outlaws had been defeated.

| Auctor sighed and let out a small chuckle "Cmon lil guy, your friend will be waiting" Auctor walked along side him to meet up with William. He at one point even thought he wasn't going to win, since the outlaw was twice as strong as him, yet somehow he prevailed and he was pretty glad about it. His claw still hurt from the superpower and his eyes stung a bit but he would live.
They reached William and the hoothoot a few minutes later and Auctor smiled at the Gastly "It's finished William" He laughed and sat down on the mud as Sentret walked over to the unconscious hoothoot "Okay... maybe this place.. is a bit too tough for me" |

| "What the...this place doesn't look like the Ghost World...why are you here? Did you find Arceus or something on your way? I don't care anymore...I've seen enough stuff happen already...you can go free that Hoothoot. I am seriously dead. And not just because I'm a Ghost type. Curse is very dangerous a move..." William was sure, that he was hallucinating. Maybe it was the swamp gas. Maybe he was dead. Maybe he fell asleep. Or maybe he had gone crazy. But there was no way, that that little guy could have managed to have defeated that Quagsire. And the Gastly didn't even care anymore. For now, all he wanted was for this to be over and to return to the guild... | |

| "Well I think its best if we all leave this arceus forsaken place" He snapped the ropes around Hoothoot and the sentret helps it begin to walk "William you okay? It's time to go now" He chuckled and begun walking whether William was following him or not, he thought he would anyway. Auctor did hope to patrol the whole area but he saved three pokemon already so he felt kinda proud. He had done his good deeds for the day and he really needed a rest, so did William |

| "I completely and wholeheartedly agree. I don't think we'd be able to beat a Magikarp right now. Maybe we'll see each other again, maybe we won't. But I'm glad to hear, that you seem to have learned your lesson. I bid you farewell, Auctor..." William was at least equally exhausted and thus took the direct path back to the guild, surprising the last citizens, that were still awake. He needed some rest. After all, he would probably embark on a mission with his teammates again...tomorrow. | |
