The Flame of Amber

Snow was starting to fall a little girl at the age of 7 was heading home from school. She was taking a shortcut through the forest near the old castle. The Castle had been there for 1,000 years and it is said to be protected by the Pokemon known as Entei. Only no one has ever seen the Pokemon. Amber looked up at the snow, admiring it's beauty. In the shadows a figure was looking at the Castle. "Here it is. The Castle that is said to be guarded by Entei." he said. Looking through his binoculars he could see a large Pokemon hopping on the steep cliffs heading towards the castle. With a chuckle the man sent out his Pokemon: Dewott, and Gyarados. "Gyarados, head to the Castle!" the Hunter shouted hopping of the large Pokemon's back. Gyarados dove into the near by rive and swam towards the Castle.

Entei leaped into the castle through an open window, landing gracefully on the floor. He shook the snow off of his fur and made his way to the main hall. His duty was to protect the castle, from all and for all. He didn't remember why he had to, he just knew that he had to protect it. He leaped his way up to a ledge with a large window above the main entrance, the window was a bit dirty but still see through. He noticed the gyarados coming from miles away from it's sheer size, not exactly the best form of stealth. He quickly leaped up to the top of the castle and gathered energy from the sun, even though there wasn't much. After the gyarados was half way to the castle, he sent a large green beam from his jaws rocketing toward the Gyarados.

Seeing the Solar Beam heading towards them, the hunter gave the command. "Dewott use Protect!" The Dewott leapt off of the Gyarados' head and used Protect to block the on coming attack.

Amber heard something from behind her and looked back. She didn't see anything in the forest, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Running towards the Castle she noticed the Pokemon that lived in the forest were no where in site. Her house was near by and she knew she had to get home soon.

"Gyarados, Hyper Beam!" the hunter shouted. The dragon like pokemon roared and realeased a beam of energy towards the fire type.

The Entei gave a bellow, "LEAVE" he commanded through telepathy. He managed to dodge the hyper beam as he crossed to a nearby tower with a giant leap. He charged up yet another solar beam, but it was taking longer as the sky grew darker. The green charging orb cackled with energy as it gathered it. Entei slammed his paws on the ground and dug his retractable claws into the stone bricks as he fired the beam of energy at the pokemon once more, it was weak and died off before it even reached the Gyarados though. He growled in anger at the weather and instead shot a pillar of flame spiraling towards the pokemon, using flame thrower.

Amber finally made it to the castle and saw an orange red glow. "What's going on?" she asked as she saw an explosion.

"Dewott, Hydro Pump! Gyarados use Ice Fang!" The hunter shouted. He would not let this Pokemon get away. If he catches it and sell it to the highest bidder he would be rich.

Walking through the castle Amber looked around. The walls were worn down and some of the doors were torn off. In some areas there were some burn marks. "What happened here?" She asked herself. Entering another room she saw a large picture of a young woman in a beautiful Kimono sitting in a throne. Beside her was the legendary Pokemon Entei laying beside her. "Wow. It would be amazing to meet that Pokemon." she said. Taking out he camera, she tried to take a picture. Only Problem was it was too dark. Suddenly there was a loud crash and there was enough light to take a pic. "That was convenient. What caused the wall-" she stopped as she turned around. A huge Gyarados was laying on the floor, blocking her way out, it slowly got up and went back outside. "W-what was that?" she squeaked.

The entei was struck by the Hydro Pump, he was sent into the wall and then pushed through it as it collapsed. He flew into the painting and fell to the ground, getting back up to have the large photo land on him. He shook the photo off and looked at the hole in the wall. He howled, "LEAVE NOW" at the hunter. He didn't notice the little girl as he ran at the Gyarados, his claws extended as they glowed and used Crush Claw. His paw flew towards the Gyarados's face in hopes to hit it. He wanted to destroy the gyarados which seemed like a bigger threat to the castle than the dewott at the moment.

Gyarados dodged the attack and use Bite. The Dewott came behind Amber. "Good work Dewott. Now Entei, come with me and I'll let the girl go." the hunter said. Amber was trying to get away from the Dewott when she heard what the hunter had said. "Wait. Entie's here?" she asked. Looking around she saw the Gyarados and she knew the Dewott was behind her,now. Hearing the picture fall to the floor she gazed with wide eyes. Standing just a few feet away was the Legendary Pokemon that had only been seen in story books. "Entei." she whispered.

Entei looked at the girl and growled in annoyance. He could do nothing, he couldn't go with the hunter, and he couldn't attack or else the girl might be harmed. He snarled at the hunter, "She has nothing to do with this!" His lips curled like a dogs as he growled and snarled. He studied the situation. He could probably talk his way out of this, while he was charging up a solar beam. He began to take up what little sunlight there was, making sure it wasn't visible but that made the charging take longer. When the charge is finished, he would attack the hunter directly.

The Dewott knew that his trainer was lieing. He wasn't going to let this child go. Dewott had believed in honor and he didn't wish to harm anyone, especially the girl. Before the Pokemon could do anything else he felt himself being thrown. The Dewott made contact with the Gyarados, making him flinch a little. The hunter was in shock, could a child really have thrown a Pokemon with such force. The Hunter looked at the girl and saw that there was now a Grovyle.

"W-where did he come from?" the hunter studdered. Amber giggled. "This is Aden, Papa's Pokemon.He looks after me like a big brother." Amber said. The Dewott shook his head and was pushed off by the Gyarados. The large Pokemon roared and used Hyper beam at the Grovyle. With amazing speed, the Dewott ran in front of the attack and tried to block it. The floor started to creak and it caved in, sending all three into the darkness. The girls screaming echoed through out the castle.

When the floor collapsed, Entei took action. He released the solar beam he had been charging at the Gyarados and leaped down the hole. He caught the girl on his back and grabbed the grovyle harshly with his teeth, unable to help it. He used the debri to jump off of them and make it to a tunnel, the girl had the chance to grab the dewott severall times as they were falling. He didn't see if she saved the dewott, but hoped she did. He just wanted to get the innocent away from the guilty.

Amber felt the Entei save her, as she was now clinging to his back. Aden was safe, but he might not be too happy when they land. Amber could hear the Dewott screaming as they were hopping on the debris. Reaching out Amber felt the Dewott's paw tighten around her hand.

Meanwhile the Gyarados was really in a foul mood. The Hunter growled in annoyance, not knowing of Dewott's true intentions. Are you really helping the girl? Or could you be setting up a trap to lure them to guide you to the stone? the hunter thought.

Amber was shaking like a leaf when there finally landed. Aden was rubbing his now sore arm, it was bleeding but it wasn't serious. Dewott was about to move closer to Amber when Aden moved to get in front of her. "Not a step closer. I will do everything in my power to keep Amber-chan safe." Grovyle said. Amber stared in amazement. "Why can I understand Aden now?" she asked the Entei.

She wasn't afraid of Entei for some reason. Normally she was afraid of large Pokemon. Maybe it was because Entei had saved her.

Entei was silent for a bit before responding, "Not sure. Now why do you come to my castle child? he asked like a stern adult with a slight snarl. He paced a bit, looking up at the hole in his castle's floor and angrily turned and began walking down the tunnel, leaving the girl to follow if she desired along with the dewott, whom he still couldn't quite trust, and the grovyle. He had a slight stomp in his step as he searched for where the corridor lead to.

Looking up Amber saw that the Pokemon was leaving. Quickly chasing after him Aden and Dewott followed close behind. "I wanted to see the castle. No one ever comes here. At least I got a good picture of the painting before it got destroyed." she said taking out the camera. Looking through the pictures, Amber came to the one of the painting. She admired the beauty of the woman and how loyal Entei looked. "How long have you been here?" she asked.

"Is your arm ok?" the Dewott asked. He wasn't pulling off an act, he figured that would be the first thing that the Grovyle though. "It's fine. You should consider yourself lucky that Amber-san reached out for you when she did. If not then you would of been dead from the fall." Aden said harshly. Dewott stopped and gulped, Aden was right. Dewott owed the girl his life.

"Years and years, now will you two just up back there or so help me I'll Solar Beam" he looked to the dewott, "and flamethower you" he looked to the grovyle" Both in the faces!" he gave a huff and turned around, walking a bit faster. The hallway soon opened up into a massize rooms with pillars and statues of himself in different poses, "Strange...I don't remember this..."

Amber walked up to one of the statures. "Maybe it's another part of the castle? You said you've been here a long time, yet you had no knowledge of this place? Some Protector." she said. As she placed her hands behind her head she noticed Aden and the Dewott flinch. They both had a "Are you freaking crazy?!" look on their faces. Amber payed them no mind and went back to looking at the picture again. Seeing something around the woman's neck, Amber zoomed in on it. "Wow, what a beautiful necklace." she whispered.
