Picking up the Pieces Sign-Ups (HoE Reboot)

It's been almost a year and the sky is still dark. The ash and fallout block out the sun and the blue sky with it. Ever since those dreadful days, when demons had poured out of the ground and thousands of angels filled the sky, the Earth had been like this. What fools we were to believe the angels would protect us. To them, we were just obstacles, standing in the way of their fight with Hell. Even angelic beings weren't pure hearted as proved when a squadron of angels clashed with some demons in LA, killing every human in the city, reducing it to ruble. This event caused many to lose their faith in Heaven, though Heaven would eventually come to realize their mistake. Militaries across the world mobilized to engage the otherworldly beings, but were slaughtered by their superior reflexes and abilities.

The dark cloud that had consumed the sun first began spreading from New York, a city under siege by the forces of Hell. Massive armies from both Heaven and Hell had gathered, and World Leaders blindly believed they could end the conflict there. The entire city was leveled, killing millions and beginning the radioactive cloud that would begin to spread, aided by other nuclear events, both accidental and intended. Governments all across the world fell, leaving humanity severely weakened as they now continue to die off. But this purge, this extinction has given way to a strange new world. Some humans have developed extraordinary powers and creatures only found in lore and myths now roamed the wasteland, no longer having to hide from humanity.

Recently, there have been rumors. In the small villages and settlements still left of the human race, there are now whispers of a place known as the Sanctuary. A place protected by some type of magic, with those inside free of the poisonous air of the outside world. Many have wandered, trying to find this place, to know if it truly exists; few have made it alive. Some doubt the safety of this rumored city, as still portions of Hell's army roam the world, unable to return to their domain.

(As you can all see, the plot has changed slightly from Hell on Earth and it's only a year after the war instead of fifteen. Depending on how many join this, there may be separate RP 'rooms' like Kat's Hero RP.)
Rules:
1. No god modding or overpowering. Give other peoples' characters a chance to react.
2. If you want to leave the Rp, figure out a way to remove your character so that they don't magically dissapear from continuity.
3. For now, only one character per person allowed, this may be raised in not many people join.
4. Please stick to the posting order and post within 2 days of the person before you. The first time this is violated, you will be skipped, the second time, you will be kicked.
5. Try and keep content around PG-13. As this is Post-Apocalyptic, blood and violence is allowed.
6. Please do not post one liners, unless there is no other option, as they are basically spam.

Terminology:
Demons-The residential species of Hell, demons come in all shapes and sizes, and are usually very viscous, though there are rare exceptions. They torture souls that have been sent to Hell for evil done during life. Many of them are now trapped on Earth after Hell closed. When a demon dies, they just disappear, as they do not have a soul, meaning their essence does not exist after death.
Angels-The guardians of Heaven, they resemble humans with large wings on their backs. Angels are very skilled in magic, though this sometimes leads to them being arrogant. Most are in the same situation as the demons, trapped on Earth, wandering the wasteland. They also experience death the same way as demons.
Reapers-The ones neutral between Heaven and Hell, the reapers were responsible for 'reaping' souls and sending them to be judged on which afterlife to be sent to. They have superhuman reflexes and can live forever, but can be killed in combat and fall to disease. However, with the sealing of Heaven and Hell, the Reapers have lost a purpose, with most residing in the domain of the Reapers, while others have are lost on Earth.
The Sanctuary-A small city established by a group of adventurers/survivors who have been making a name for themselves recently. It is located in an area formerly known as the Great Lakes, and currently has a population of around fifty people. Many do not believe in it's existence due to the elusive nature of it, as it is rarely stumbled upon by anyone. A powerful mage, one of the Sanctuary's founders, cast an incantation around the Sanctuary, protecting it from radiation and fallout.

More terminology may be added later.

Bronze, a few things. While I'm mostly fine with your character, there are some things I want to clarify and changed. First, I am okay with the water and air magic, but hurricanes and tornadoes seem a bit too powerful. Do you think you could tone it down a bit? And the other thing I wanted to say was, I don't know if Aphranna knows this, but she probably won't get a very warm welcome at the Sanctuary.

Personality(Optional): Scar is good-natured, easygoing, upbeat, energetic, funny, and loves to tell jokes, even if they aren't funny. He is genuinely intelligent and honest, and cares about his friends and family. He sometimes doesn't think before reacting and he enjoys pulling pranks on people, especially those who he doesn't like.
History: Scar was born in Houston, Texas, and lived with his father until a fire broke out and destroyed everything. It was his fault, but no one knows what actually happened, not even him. The reason it was his fault is because he was born with the power to control fire. He lived in foster homes, running around until the war between Hell and Heaven started. He then joined the Sanctuary and became their best mechanic, able to fix many machines that no one else could.
Abilities/Weapons:
Machinery: He can make many things with his amazing machinery skills, even full-sized mechanical suits. He can also hack into things and control machines by touching them.
Pyrokinesis: He can control fire and even produce it, it is somewhat uncontrollable, sometimes flaring up when he doesn't mean for it to.
Other: He is more accustomed to talking to machines, he's not used to being around humans.

Well Red, a few things. First, this is just an opinion, but aren't you ripping of Leo Valdez here? Second, it should say he found the Sanctuary and not joined it. Last, there aren't things like mech suits in this universe.

History: As he lived in the old utopia called New York as a uprising blitzball player in his fathers memorial cup. He was about to win the cup for his team until the Apocalypse started. He was immediately killed and once he revived in heaven he began to fight with the other angels.

I was thinking of completely redoing my character anyways, I'll edit it

Name: Miriki
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species(i.e. Human, Angel, Demon, Anthropomorphic Creature, etc.): Human
Appearance: He has shortish silver hair, and cute, blue eyes. He has tan skin as well, and a slender body with hints of muscle tone. He wears a traditional Gi, with the upper body blue, and the pants white. He wears a headband around his arm, with the symbol of his now destroyed dojo on it. He wears glasses, which he modified to fit to his face so that they were comfortable, but wouldn't fall off during battle. He wears white boots with a blue stripe going down the middle. He always has an invisible force around him from his Chi powers, but when he uses his Chi in combat, he starts to glow a bit. He also wears a cross amulet which gives him connection to the magical pool.
Affiliation: Lone Wolf
Personality(Optional): Miriki is a shy kid, not really one to make a conversation with somebody. He is smart, but quiet, he learned all that he could from his dojo's library, which he read all 6,000 books of. When he gets angry, he usually attacks without thinking, but this rarely happens. He is in control of his feelings and emotions, a result of all the training and meditating he did. He prefers to think of a strategy than rushing in blindly, but he is not afraid to do so if this is the only option. He is not afraid of anything, he conquered his fears a long time ago. He is often referred to as a "Machine" due to his vast knowledge and no feelings. He isn't invincible though, his Chi does shield him from most attacks, but magic and other Chi can still hurt him, as well as when he runs out of Chi, he can be hurt by anything a normal human can.
History: Miriki grew up in a dojo, no one knows which dojo, not even Miriki. He was struck with amnesia when demons attacked and destroyed his dojo, his home. He doesn't hate the demons, but he still hasn't forgiven them for doing what they did. When he did live in the dojo, he trained in the way of the dragon, a fierce fighting style that allows no enemy retaliation.
Abilities/Weapons:
Chi Control: He can manipulate his Chi, a spiritual energy that can do most anything, from boosting his own physical prowess, to boosting his own brain power. He doesn't have full control over it, but he is still practicing his skill.
Scythe: He wields a seven foot scythe, which is red. It has a chain attached to the blade, so Miriki can swing it around for longer reach.
Magical Abilities: Miriki once came across a strange traveler that sold him a book of spells and an amulet with a cross on it. Ever since then he can use magic. Miriki has a small connection to the magical pool, so he can preforms spells, granted he has his spell book and amulet with him.

@ Swampurt. First, what's blitzball? Second, people can't be revived as Angels, that's not how angels work.

@Jikumo. As long as he is shown to have very limited magic ability in RP, then he's accepted.

Name: Walter Fairbrooks
Age: 21

Appearance: Walter is a relatively tall, with pale blue eyes, so pale that they almost look grey. He has short brown hair, with some greying strands from the stress of everything in the apocalyptic world. He wears a long, grey trench coat and cargo pants, along with old sneakers.
Affiliation: The Sanctuary
Personality: To be RPed
History: Walter was one of the few survivors of his hometown and was badly injured by a demon. He wandered around, surviving in the aftermath and chaos, trying to live through all of the fallout and ash he was breathing in. One day, he met a peculiar group of individuals, and after gaining their trust, began traveling with them. One day, the group came across an abandoned city that was in relatively good shape, and founded the Sanctuary. Walter now serves as the Scout for the Sanctuary, going out on missions for days at a time, trying to find other survivors and bring them back to the Sanctuary.
Abilities/Weapons:
Scoped Rifle: The main weapon Walter carries. It is an old, wooden, lever action repeating rifle that he found in a burnt out house. Since bullets are hard to find, he has modified the rifle a bit so that he can shoot other projectiles from the rifle, as long as they are similar in size to bullets. The scope is just half of a pair of binoculars lashed to the top of the gun. The gun also has a sling made of rope that he uses to hang it around his back or off his backpack.
Other: He has a tattered brown backpack that he usually carries with him, in which he holds ammunition and supplies for him trips outside the Sanctuary.
