| It was a nice sunny day in Amarata, the citizens pretty happy with their life...for the most part. In a world of normal people and pokemon magicians living side by side, there was bound to be some problems. Luckily things were peaceful today, especially at the Amarata Magical Academy. For the twenty percent of human beings able to use magic, they were given the chance to study at this school for the gifted. Bonding with pokemon, developing your magic, all while living on campus and making friends. It was a pretty great chance in life.
Darren Shanks was one of the lucky people with the ability to use magic. On his second to last year of learning, Darren was a top student at AMA. In the main courtyard, he was enjoying a BLT while his partner Gardevoir was enjoying a sweet poffin most named there pokemon to improve their bonds, but Darren and Gardevoir had been together since birth. How much closer could they get? Classes hadn't started for the day, but Darren was already hitting the books. He had a science book open before him so he'd be as prepared as possible for his test in class today. He was always ready for tests and exams. It was just the way he worked. |

| Rui didn't consider herself lucky, she had grown up on the streets, been with Marti her partner for all of her life, and had only been in AMA for three years. She hadn't made many friends because of her type of magic, and she was fine with, she was a loner, she was alone, except for Marti, she trusted him to the highest level possible for a human. And the sun shone down on the two, in the courtyard, as they practiced, The Marowak on a log they dug into the ground, his bone club whistling through the air, and the sun glinting off a scar dug into his face over the left eye. The Club impacting satisfyingly into the wood, while Rui concentrated on a spot, her brows knit together, trying to cast a Higher-Level spell then usual. Her head pounded, and she concentrated on the spot even harder, trying for something spectacular, and then, a small bit of bone showed on the surface, before growing up, to a full 3 feet in height, a solid bone pillar of sorts. She breathed and fell back, her brown cargo pants throwing up a bit of dust, as she stared at the bone pillar, Marti came over, and hit her on the head lightly, a gentle reminder of she had no-time to rest, what with Combat practice, and studying to ace several tests coming up in a few classes. She sighed and nodded getting up slowly, patting the Marowak on the head, letting her concentration go, and having the bone pillar sink into the ground. | |

| Taking a deep breath Akito stood in the middle of the training field. Closing her eyes she tried to focus. Ok, just a little of the original three. Fire, Water, and Thunder. she thought. Holding her hand out in front of her she could feel a small pool of heat resting above her hand. Opening her eyes slowly she saw a single flame resting above her hand. "Ok that's...huh?" Akito looked confused as the flame started to change color. Her Eevee, ivy was watching silently. Tilting her head she made a soft mew,"Eevee?". "That's interesting." Akito said with a smirk. In her hand was no longer an orange flame, but a dark blue flame. |
