Trouble at the Peak

Tsukishiro happily lead the way up onto the peak of Dark Mist Mountain. Known as Dark Void Peak because of the many hallucinations and the dark atmosphere it had. Despite this, the young Absol had to say that the black rock was quite pretty if you looked at it the right way.

Having just reached the Peak, Tsukishiro glanced around, looking for where that item could be. The one that had brought them up here in the first place.

"Whats wrong? What's going on? What is that?" Izumi asked worriedly as she stood beside her sister who was looking at some fabric wedged between some rocks.

"Uhm... I don't know..." she replied truthfully, "But I think this is a scarf."
She then turned and grabbed the scarf in her jaws again. This time she managed to successfully pull it out from in between the rocks, but nothing happened. Park of Shiro was relieved, but another part of her wanted to know what on earth had triggered her to see something like that. She was pretty sure no one else spaced out for a few moments to see parts of someone else's life.

"Yeah, it is a scarf..." Izumi observed. "But, who's is it? And where did it come from?" she added, cocking her head slightly to the side.

"It belongs to a Deerling...." she replied, before peering over the edge of the peak, into the distant crevasse below.
"And it came... from down there."

"Obsidian Crevasse?" Izumi questioned quietly, half to herself and half to her sister, as she joined Tsukishiro in observing the place below them. "But, how do you know this?"

"I saw it!" she smiled, turning her gaze from the crevasse to her sister.
"I touched the scarf..... and I saw it happen."
Tsukishiro turned back to the darkness of the Crevasse.

"A Deerling was being chased though the crevasse. It zigzagged through but stopped at the entrance to the Rift. A Gabite leaped out and attempted to attack the Deerling, but all they got was the scarf which then blew up here. The Deerling then jumped through and into the Rift."
Shiro explained what she had seen in the weird vision.

"It sounds like your sister just had a Dimensional Scream, and a vision of the past no less." the Banette's voice chuckled from directly behind the two sisters. Izumi spun around in suprise.

"A Dimensional Scream? What's that?" Izumi demanded.

"A Dimensional Scream is a vision of something that happened in the past or something that will happen in the future. It sounds like the hallucinogens up here triggered her hidden ability to have them." The Banette cackled.

Tsukishiro's attention was also re-directed to the Banette.
"Dimensional... Scream?" she asked, the Banette replying shortly after. She wondered what uses this apparently new ability of hers would have... After all... she didn't choose to have that vision just now.
Shiro looked at Izumi, trying to gauge her reaction to the Banette's revelation.

"Is it a common thing?" Izumi asked the Banette.

"Not exactly, it only happens when somebody with the ability to have Dimensional Screams touches something that is relevant to the vision they have." the Banette explained. "In this case, it looks like Tsukishiro had a vision of something that just recently happened because she touched that scarf." she explained.

Tsukishiro looked down to the ground at the scarf that was pinned under her paw to stop it from blowing away.
"In that case, shouldn't we help the Deerling I saw?" she asked, her gaze resting on the Banette again, before switching to Izumi.
"If it happened recently.. we might be able to help. She didn't look like she was from around this area.."

"Of course! Obsidian Crevasse is on our way out of the mountain, so we'll need to pass it anyways." Izumi exclaimed. "What would a Deerling be doing up here in the mountains anyway....?" she questioned quietly.

"Awesome!" grinned Tsukishiro, visibly excited once again about their journey, however she calmed slightly at Izumi's quiet question.
"I don't know..."

Shiro picked up the scarf from under her paw and put it into Izumi's bag,
"But if we find the Deerling, we can give this back."

"Great!" Izumi grinned excitedly. "Hey, do you know any shortcuts to get to-" Izumi began to ask the Banette, but once again she had disapeered. "O-k."

Tsukishiro shook her head. "Some Pokemon..."
She didn't understand why the Banette felt the need to disappear right when they needed her. Oh well.

"I guess we're heading for the Crevasse then?" smiled Shiro.

"Yes, to the Crevasse!" Izumi grinned excitedly, dashing off in the direction of Obsidian Crevasse.
