Light and Shadows

The moon was shining brightly, however the peace was suddenly disturbed in the outskirts of the village, there was a large explosion. In a small gap in the forest there was a passed out Houndour whimpering in pain. "I think you over did it Roxas." the girl said bluntly to her Pokemon. "Deino.(Opps, sorry.)" the black and blue Pokemon laughed. The girl walked over and bent down next to the injured Pokemon, "Here you go, eat this." she said holding out a blue berry. The Houndour slowly raised it's head up and whimpered, "It's alright. Go on take it." she said with encouragement. The dark Pokemon took a small bite out of the fruit and felt a sudden burst of energy. Wolfing down the berry he took off when he was finished. "Deino dei deino?(Why are you so nice to Dark and Ghost type Pokemon and not the humans in the village?)" Roxas asked his trainer. The girl stood up and gazed at the moon as a soft breeze blew through the trees, "Because, you guys are the only ones that understand me." she said as her amber gem twinkled under the moonlight.

"Try again!" called Lillian. The energy from all three moves was still there as Aria had yet to hit anything.
"Spin!"

As the Dragonbreath drew in close, Aria began spinning again, adding a fourth move to the pool or light and colour that surrounded her. This time hues of green were included in the mix, the original Hyper Voice serving to keep everything away from Aria's cottony feathers.

Roxas could feel the energy the small pokemon was emitting and started to cower. With an annoyed sigh Naru walked forward. "This battle is over. You win. Sorry, Roxas" she said to her Pokemon. the black and blue Pokemon looked at his trainer and rubbed his head against her hand, Deino.(it's ok as long as we tried there's nothing we can do.)" he cried out. With a small smile Naru looked at the other girl, "That was impressive. We still have a ways to go before we can get stronger." she replied to the girl.

Lillian watched as Roxas folded the battle to her. She was glad of course, not having to hurt the other trainer's Pokemon. Especially since part of the combination she had achieved now would have been super effective in the Deino.

"Thankyou," smiled Lillian. It wasn't every day that someone would call her battle style impressive. Especially considering her long winded training methods.
Turning back to her Swablu, Lillie called out one last command.
"Aria, Astonish."

After a small moment of silence, the Swablu let out a quick, surprising screech. The screech shattered the soundwaves from the Hyper Voice, taking the Dragonbreath and Dragon Rage with them. The three moves then rained down tiny particles of silver, purple and green.

"Deino. Dei deino?(That is amazing. can you teach me how to do that?)" Roxas asked the small bird. Naru bowed slightly with her eyes closed, "My name is Naru Kage. It is a pleasure to meet you." she introduced herself.

Aria giggled as she fluttered in the air, "Swablu. Blu, swablu~" I could try, but it'd be hard since you can't fly. Lillie is pretty good at coming up with unique things though, maybe you should ask her.

Lillian chuckled, petting Aria's head as the Swablu landed on her shoulder.
"I'm Lillian. Pleased to meet you too."

Naru looked around the valley in wounder. "I never knew this was out here." she said to herself. Roxas started to run around in a circle trying to find the Swablu. "Deino?(Where'd you go?)" he asked as he sniffed the air.

Aria chirruped quietly, trying to get Roxas to calm down.
"Swablu swablu!" I'm only here, no need to worry!"

Lillian blinked at Naru's apparent surprise before turning to try and find her other two companions. Her mind reached out, trying to locate the two Pokemon she had grown to enjoy the company of. Despite their status as the Guardians of Peace and Tranquility, Lillian loved them like family.

All of a sudden Lillian's eyes widened. "Something's wrong..." she whispered.

Whilst Naru was occupied looking the other way, Lillian suddenly dashed off. Even Aria was surprised for a moment, tumbling off of Lillie's shoulder, but soon catching her up. Lillie made sure to keep hold of her ocarina as she ran through the undergrowth.

Naru felt a shiver go up her spin and, "Hey did you--" she asked as she turned around. "Where did she go?" Naru asked the Deino. "Deino.(I dunno.)" he replied. Naru walked towards the tree and placed her hand on it. This place feels kind of strange. Almost like that one time. she thought as the wind started to blow harder. Naru shuddered and started to walk back into the forest as Roxas hopped on her back.

Lillian froze as she found what she was looking for. It wasn't what she wanted. At all. What were these strange people doing here in the forest? It can't have been anything good or else Latias and Latios wouldn't have needed to step up to protect it.

Not far away, an invisible Latias and Latios were taking it in turns to launch attacks on a group of strangely dressed people. These people were retaliating with their own attacks, though most of them missed due to not being able to see the two guardians.

Lillian stood there for a moment before remembering her ocarina was still in her hand. She blinked and took a deep breath, selecting a tune she hoped was fitting. It was an older one that Latias and Latios had shown to her. They called it Oracion.

It might not be as good on her ocarina as it was using a leaf whistle, but she didn't have time to find a decent leaf. And so she began to play, musical notes once again echoing through the forest as Lillian attempted to stop the fighting.

"Icy wind." a voice said from with in the forest. Naru felt a cold blast of air and quickly hugged Roxas, the poor thing was shaking like a leaf. Naru looked out and saw two strange men in black robes. Standing in front of them were two Sneasle. "Sneasle use Slash on that dragon!" one of the men shouted unaware of the girl that was in the tree. The Dark/Ice type leaped onto the branches with a high speed and raised its claw as it was about to attack. Roxas cried out in fear, "Use Dragon Rage!" Naru shouted. The Deino opened his mouth and released his attack at the enemy that was now at close range. It cried out in surprise and got hit by the blast.

There were three people stood, commanding their Pokemon to attack their invisible assailants. However, when Lillian began to play her music, they stopped, staring at her. They wondered why a girl would be out here so late, playing music. But it wasn't just that... they felt almost.. peaceful, as if they didn't want to fight anymore. Their Pokemon were the same. Some of them, having stopped their attacks mid-leap, pulled themselves up from the undergrowth only to sit there and enjoy the music Lillian was playing.

It was times like these when Lillie loved the abilities she had been granted by the Guardians of Peace and Tranquility. Without them, she would likely get into such sticky situations. The only problem was, she needed to keep them calm and peaceful until she figured out how to stop them from attacking again when she stopped playing her music.

As she thought, her music continued to echo throughout the forest as it did earlier. It could be heard in the distance, though it's effects weren't nearly as strong.

The second Sneasle was in front of it's partner using Protect. Drat two against one isn't fair. Naru thought. She was about to give another command when she heard a faint sound the two men seemed to hear it as well. A sense of calm fell over the humans and Pokemon. Naru took this time and took off with Roxas running after her deeper into the forest. After some time had passed she made it to the cave where she first met Roxas and the Guardian of Shadows, Giratina.

Lillian paused playing her ocarina to tell her Swablu partner to use Sing. Aria did so, and quickly lulled the group and their Pokemon to sleep, the multicoloured musical notes hitting them, and immediately sending them to sleep.

"Are you two alright?" asked Lillian, looking up at the empty area. She didn't need to see them to know they were there, she could sense them.
The two re-appeared in their natural forms, nodding to reassure Lillie. She smiled, "Thank goodness."

Lillian's relief was cut short when she heard what sounded like a mini explosion from further in the woods. She turned to the sound of the noise, Latias and Latios doing the same. Before Lillian could say anything, Latias had already flown off, donning her invisible guise once more. Latios stopped only to pick up Lillian before he followed.

Lillie blinked. All of a sudden she was on Latios' back. Oh god. She hung on for dear life, Aria clinging to her clothing with her tiny beak as the now invisible Latios sped towards the noise of the explosion. Another group of people, dressed like the ones from before, were there. They had sent out a fire type, seemingly attempting to attack something but had failed and it had slipped away. Lillian watched from the air as the two headed towards-

Oh crap. It was that Naru girl from earlier. Lillian blinked as she watched her ad Roxas run. They seemingly didn't realise they were being chased. Lillie watched as a Houndoom parted it's jaws to loose a Flamethrower.
"Latios!" she tapped the Eon Pokemon's neck and pointed to alert him to the situation. Thinking quickly, the blue eon Pokemon flew down and blocked the fiery attack from hitting Naru with his own body. Lillian was flung off Latios' back, hitting her head on the hard ground as she landed. Aria managed to land neatly using her wings, but she quickly went to check if her trainer was alright.

Latias meanwhile sped over to Latios, a short cry of "Laa!" echoing through the forest.

Naru stopped running just when she was about to reach the one of the many cave entrances to Giratina's cavern. She just heard something like a shrill cry but it was full of worry. slowly turning she saw two Pokemon she had never seen before. Not only that but she saw a Houndoom growling at them. Naru ran in front of the two Pokemon not knowing who they were but something about them seemed familiar. The Houndoom snarled and opened it's mouth to unleash a Flamethrower, but it was suddenly cut off by a dark figure ramming into it.

I will not stand by to allow such a foolish creature harm my comrades. Naru felt these words echo in her mind. Glancing back to the mouth of the cave she saw a pair of red eye. "Do you mean me, or those two?" she asked the eyes pointing at the Latis.

Latias blocked Naru's path as she attempted to run in from of the Eon duo. There was something in her glare that said 'Don't you dare.' After all, Latios had just risked himself to protect her from that blast. She wasn't about to let it count for nothing.
After this, Latias went back to her brother, who in turn slowly rose back into the air. He only had a few scratches, most of the damage due to the momentum with which he had hit the ground. The Eon duo reunited in mid-air, Latias flying in a circle around Latios and letting out a calmer cry before she stopped and turned to where Lillian had fallen.

Lillian had just sat up, rubbing her head. She froze however, sensing something behind her. Red and blue... but there... there was so much purple too. It wasn't like what she had experienced with Latias and Latios. Their hearts were as pure as the early morning frost. Lillie saw it as bright white, unlike others, whose she saw as hues of red, blue and purple. The only one's she couldn't see was her own... and she had always been curious as to what it would look like.

But this... What is that? she asked the eon duo.

Giratina, Guardian of Shadows, replied Latios.
Turning away from the cave and getting to her feet, she blinked. That explains a lot then.

"Aria are you alright?" she asked, looking to her concerned Swablu. Aria nodded, a few concerned chirrups following.
Lillie smiled, "I'm fine, don't worry."
