Pokemon All-Region RP

First topic message reminder :

I've recently been playing other stuff, which is why I've not been rping. But I'm back for good now, and I'm starting up a new rp that I plan to get finished this time. It's a normal trainer rp, with a twist. We will be exploring all 5 regions, starting in Kanto. As we move on to new regions, our Pokedex will automatically update to the new region's pokemon and add them accordingly.

Lillian accepted her Pokedex with a grin. This was it. She had her Pokedex and her partner Pokemon and now she was about to leave her hometown to embark on a journey across the region with her three friends. To be honest, life couldn't be better! Lillie had always yearned to explore other places, but her commitments to helping her mother keep their ranch alive and prospering had always come first. Lillie silently thanked her mother for about the hundredth time, as she had decided that her child needed to take her own steps out into the world and that was why she was able to leave Pallet Town today.

"Viridian City is closest so yea, that makes sense," smiled Lillian. Dusty nodded from beside her.

Alex accepted her pokedex and placed it in her bag. She looked to the others and answered, "I'm good with wherever!" her riolu clung to her pant legs like a toddler, nervous of the new man and machine. Alex knelt down and pet Riolu a bit before standing and turning to the group, waiting for them to lead. She wanted to get to the next town as soon as possible so she could but some more pokeballs so she could get Riolu some friends.

"Well then, let's head out!" Sammi said, and when she got out the door, she let her Ponyta out. "Ponyta!" it said as it was let out. "Hi girl." She replied, petting its flaming mane and not even flinching. She then mounted the saddle she had made for it and got onto the Ponyta. "Girl, we're ready to start our journey. But so we don't lose the others, let's go at a peaceful trot, alright?" She told the ponyta, being gentle. "Ta! Ponyta!" it replied as the two of them waited for her friends.

"Come on, Munchlax!" Sean said. "We need to get to Viridian City!" "Munch! Munchlax!" He replied. "Maybe after, we can train." Sean said. "We might even have you learn a new move!"

Lillian hop-skipped along as she darted out of the laboratory. Her Pokedex was in her bag and Dusty was bounding alongside her. She did a twirl, her arms extended outwards as she span around before she abruptly stopped and ran off up the path. It seemed that she was eager to get out there and see the world. It was lucky Dusty was used to this, so he was able to keep up with his partner.

Giggling, Lillie quickly reached Route 1 where she slowed down so that she wouldn't startle any of the Pokemon living nearby. She already knew a few of the species that lived around here as she had been out here multiple times. She had three pokeballs in her bag, spare ones that her mother had in the cupboard for when young Pokemon hatched. No eggs were due to hatch for another while so Lillian's mother had spared them so that Lillie could take them on her journey. She was glad, for it meant she could catch a bird Pokemon fairly quickly.

Lillian had always been intrigued by flying Pokemon. In truth, she couldn't wait for Dusty to evolve so that he could fly too. It was something the Trapinch himself wanted more than anything, but for now they would have to live with their situations. Lillie continued to think about what bird Pokemon she could catch...
Around here there were only Pidgey... but further away from Pallet Town, there were Spearow... at least according to Lillie's mother. Lillian had always stayed quite close to her hometown so she didn't know for sure.

Alex followed behind the group, she entered route 1 and looked about. Nothing peaked her interest here, just a bunch of pidgey and caterpie. What Alex wanted was a spearow, those things were fierce and strong. She didn't really like pidgey for some reason, always thought it was more for a pet than for a trainer. Alex already had an idea of a few pokemon she wanted, one of them was Meowth. She knew she wouldn't get that for a long time. She used to have a meowth, until it bit her and caused her mom to hate pokemon. Riolu tugged on her pants again, "Riii..." she said, she was unsure of the path ahead and felt it was dangerous. She was just warning Alex that pokemon may be ahead. Alex smiled and pat Riolu on the head, "It's ok. We'll become strong here!" her riolu brightened up and put on a determined face. It wanted to be stronger, and evolve! Alex found herself being silent toward the others once more, she hadn't been in this group of friends for long, and had never had friends other than riolu before them. She wasn't too good at socializing.

The Ponyta, with its rider mounted, started its peaceful trot as it walked with Sammi's friends. Sammi had gotten it as a present from her parents as an egg, and she raised it until it hatched. Yeah, so you guys have any plans for what you're all going to do as side journeys along with our Pokedex quest?" She asked happily. The ponyta showed happiness in its eyes as they trotted.

Sean didn't even need to think about it. He just spurted out the answer. "I want to become a Pokemon Master, and catch every Pokemon there is. Even a Magikarp!" Sean chuckled at the comment. "What about you guys?"

"I want to befriend and study Pokemon that fly," replied Lillian, "I've always loved flying Pokemon for some reason... and not necessarily just flying types either. Dusty's evolved forms, Vibrava and Flygon are personal favourites of mine because they're so different to birds but still amazing Pokemon!"
Lillie seemed to slip off into her own little daydream as she finished speaking. Dusty blinked up at her before shaking his head and looking to Alex and Sammi for their answers.

Alex thought to herself for a bit before replying, why did she want to be a trainer so badly? She had always wanted to be a trainer, but a specific reason had never come to her. She then decided to just say, "I just want to see new things like places and pokemon." her riolu nodded as if in agreement with her. Alex glanced at Sammy to see if she would answer the question. Her mind wandered to when a pokemon she could fight would appear.

"I'm hoping to be an a-class breeder." Sammi said happily. "You see, my brother Jeff is the gym leader at Pewter City. He took over for Brock since he's out exploring with that Ash kid. So I'm gonna try to battle him and get all the badges in every region we go to." She smiled. Her brother was the best trainer that Oak ever knew since Ash. He had completed the Kanto and Johto dexes but decided to pass the other three onto his sister, and this was her big moment. This was her moment to shine.

Sean just nodded, then ran into the route some more. That was when he found a Rattata. Sean always wanted a Rattata. He never knew why. Good thing he had some Pokeballs ready. "Go, Munchlax!" "Munch, Munchlax!" "Use Metronome!" Munchlax then used Metronome and it changed into Confusion. "Now use Tackle!" And he did just that. "Go, Pokeball!" Sean threw a Pokeball and it moved, and again, and again, then made the ringing noise that signaled the Pokemon was caught. "I caught a Rattata!" "Munch!"

Lillian was snapped from her daydream by a Pidgey fluttering from one of the nearby trees. She knew that right now, Dusty had a disadvantage against the flying type, so she wanted to get in a first hit.
"Signal Beam!"

Not a very effective move choice, but one that worked none the less. Catching the Pidgey by surprise, it was knocked out of the air.
"Alright, go in with a bite!"

Dusty quickly sped in with the second move, not wasting any time due to the type disadvantage. He was lucky, for the Bite landed a critical hit and the Pidgey was weakened quite considerably. As it spread it's wings to take to the sky once more, Lillian threw a Pokeball towards it.

Alex watched as Lillian's pokeball landed on the ground with a "Thunk" it shook a bit and clicked signaling that the bird was captured. Alex smiled, some of her friends had caught their first pokemon, "Great catch!" she complimented both of them. Riolu growled as a mean looking rattata approached the two, Alex stared at it for a few moments, stunned by it's bravery to approach them like that. The rattata used growl and slightly intimidated Riolu. Alex sniffed and said, "Get rid of it with Blaze Kick" Riolu nodded and it's foot was set aflame. The riolu kicked the rattata with all she had and sent it flying to a rock, it fell to the ground with singes all around it. It was KO'd. "Wow, didn't think that move would be so useful, I think the burn is what finished it." she said alound in surprise. Riolu poked the rattata, worried that she had hurt it too much. The rattata fled as soon as it woke up a few moments later.

Sammi saw her friends catch the pokemon they intended to catch and clapped. "Good job guys!" She said excitedly. She was hoping to catch a Pikachu in Viridian Forest. There was a slim chance she would be able to, but sometimes she was lucky. Thanks to her lucky pendant she got from her brother. She stored it in her bag so she wouldn't lose it. "Well, onto Viridian City?" She asked.
