A frozen, icy wind tore through the snowy field. A lone pokemon, as far as they could tell anyways, was hopping slowly through the snowbanks, trying desperately to keep on top of the snow and not sink into a frozen hole of their own design.

This frustrated pokemon was a spiritomb, by the name of Ko. Ko had heard of the strange powers the cavern at the top of the mountain held for those who were able to find their way there. Ko wanted to rule over the world, so of course a set of strange powers were interesting to her. She had heard nonstop complaining about it until she had set a course for the mountain.

The mountain! The mountain! The mountain! Ko shook her head. "Shut up," She muttered. She was one of 108 souls trapped within the keystone. The most powerful, which was why she was in control of the body, but still, she had to listen to 107 other voices constantly vying for control and what they wanted. It was a frustrating experience. If only there was a way to shut them all up for good.

Sosio: {51 - 22 (entrance) = 29}
Items:

Approaching the base of the mountain, Sosio found a new type of fire she had never felt before. Some of it may be accredited to the friends she met on her journey who allowed her to once again open up and feel joy about her undertaking, but the bird felt deep down that she was ready for a transformation of another sort. Though it had only been a few years, it felt like ages since the fire-type had last evolved, molting her feathers to grow in size, power, and ability. Now, she had grown as a Pokemon, as well. It was bittersweet, really, to know that not only was her lifelong journey about to come to an end, but she was also about to reach the peak of her physical form. No, she would not let sorrow take her heart again; there were many ways to grow in a guild, and Sosio looked forward to each and every path she would take on the road to becoming the greatest guild member she so strived to be.

Hopping along the snow-ridden rocks and debris, seemingly from avalanches, the heat emanating from her body melted each carefully-constructed crystal of snow, reducing to a liquid that scurried away as her scaly feet touched the mountain's true floor. Unfortunately, as the snow became deeper, touching the ground was not exactly something the Fletchinder wanted to do.
Who would have thought my warmth would actually get in my way for once? She questioned, desperation fluffing her feathers as they always did when she was overstimulated. Flapping furiously, she tried once again to travel by air, but the wind made this incredibly difficult and far too exhausting to last. She figured she could try this to get to a spot with visible rock poking out to ensure she wasn't ensnared by the mountain's chilly pitfall.

Her first step had only gotten her less than a meter up the mountain, and already she was too out of breath to keep going. This was going to be a lot harder than the avian Pokemon had hoped...

"So this is Frostmeer huh... Guess i know now why nobody wanted to come up and explore this part. Eh... The cold isn't that bad" An Absol murdered, quietly advancing along the base of the mountain in search of an easy path up. When a group wants to map the world, of course someone's gotta go where no one else wants. Having hailed from a mountainous region, Deimos had felt it was only natural that the one used to cold mountain air check out the icy lands to the north, even if they could call upon the resident ice type.

The Absol felt strongly about seeing the world for himself, not just reading about it in a report, a wish and cause that had forced him onward with little thought about how easy an actual trek through the snow would be. Despite having learned the power to call upon snowstorms of his own fairly recently, A land of snow and ice was somewhat of a far cry from the much more dry mountains he knew. Though unpleasant, a clear grin was plastered across his face. It felt good to be checking out new places again.

Come on mos... Snap yourself out of it and focus. Gotta find a way up before getting excited" He murmurred, softly shaking his head before pausing at a fairly relaxed incline. Perhaps up here?

Ko heard the heavy panting of a pokemon in physical distress. Kill it! Kill it! cried the voices of the others. Ko shook her head. She couldn't murder a pokemon where others could find the evidence. But, just in case, she popped an Oran Berry into her mouth.

She leaped over another snowdrift gracefully, and the pokemon revealed itself to be a Fletchinder struggling through the snow. "Hailhail therethere, fellowfellow travelertraveler," she called. Her voice was many-layered with the voices of the others.

"Whatwhat bringsbrings youyou toto thisthis frigidfrigid mountainmountain?" She asked.

((OOC: ok from now on just assume her voice is layered, it's too much work to do all the time.))

Sosio: {51 - 22 (entrance) = 29}
Items:

While struggling her way up the mountain, the frigid air nipped at her ears and the wind played with her outermost feathers, but even with all the distractions, Sosio could make out a voice beneath the wind. The bird frightfully turned her head to the source at first, surprised by the volume and number, but was quickly calmed after. It may have been an unfamiliar face, but at least it wasn't feral.
"Oh, hello!" She answered chipperly, shaking off her startled face and a few flecks of snow. "I'm just trying to reach the peak of this mountain, you're welcome to join me if you want!"

Just as before, the fire type was perfectly ready to travel alone if she had to, but she was grateful to meet any face she could on her would-be lonesome journey. She should have really expected that Pokemon would flock to her thanks to her heat. As if recalling that affected her temperature, the avian girl puffed her chest, working her flame sac at maximum. If she weren't grounded from the icy winds, Sosio would have utilized this internal fire to increase her flight speed, but for now, it made for a good body warmer. As happy as she felt to meet and help someone new, the Fletchinder was completely unaware that she was also about to be reunited with an old acquaintance.

A Frozen Mountain Empty

Quietly advancing up the incline he'd stumbled upon, Deimos shook the grin from his face and returned to a more neutral expression, having to mentally remind himself that the mountain was probably a place where ice types lived, or perhaps even more of his kin who'd grown more accustomed to the snow and cold than he had. Though his kind had plenty of fur to help keep in, Deimos had never personally entered a snowy landscape. "This place must be hell for people without anything to help keep them warm." He muttered under his cold, steamy breath. He'd never actually seen his breath become visible before, even on cold mountain nights back home. That alone was more than enough to inform him Frostmeer was on another level.

It didn't take long however for some nearby voices to catch his attention and pique his curiousity, one sounding somewhat familiar. Unable to put the voice to a face, Deimos let off a soft sigh under his breath and changed direction. It was most certainly a voice he'd heard before, though no figure came to mind whenever he wracked his brain. Maybe one of the early encounters when he'd just started travelling?

Quietly moving through the snow with his improvised purple bag behind him, Deimos paused upon a small ledge and glanced down, soon catching vision of the source. Some strange spectre and... A bird? "Didn't expect to run into other people today. Hello" Deimos called down to the duo, relaxing in a fairly neutral posture after setting down his bag. He didn't want to cause a fight or anything after all.

Ko didn't know what she was expecting from the fletchinder, but this was not it. "Why would you traverse this mountain to find its peak?" She asked.

It's a trap! insisted the voices inside as the fletchinder offered her companionship up the mountain. Ko inwardly rolled her eyes. There was no trap, and even if there was, she'd be able to thwart it before it caused her harm, she was sure of it.

Then, another voice called through the snowy landscape. Ko turned her eyes up the ridge, and sure enough there was an absol looking down at them. Not expecting to see people; well neither was she but you didn't see her complaining about it.

"It seems our little group has turned from two to three," She mentioned to the fletchinder. "Well, I suppose introductions are in order. I am Ko, the leader of these spirits. What about you two?"

Sosio: {29}
Items:

Sosio shivered a little, continuing the generation of heat from her muscles and breast. There was only so much time she could handle maintaining her temperature when she wasn't moving, so this would have to do for now. When the phantom presented its inquiry, the bird found herself gazing back at the highest visible rock, wondering if her goal was even really in sight.
"I'm trying to get to the highest peak so I can fly to a town in the sky," she explained whimsically. It had been quite a long time since she had begun her journey, and while it sounded exciting to the Fletchinder back then, now there was just a small realization of how crazy it sounded. She began to question if it even existed at all.

However, her thoughts were abruptly interrupted, to her great fortune, by a furry acquaintance that she couldn't help but gaze at. It was infrequent that Sosio ever ran into an old friend again, and even more rare to see a Pokemon she vaguely recognized but was unable to tell from where. Was she crazy? Or had she really forgotten this Absol's name? He didn't seem to recognize the fire-type, so she assumed it was just some other Pokemon; they did look similar, after all.
"I'm Sosio," the bird followed shortly after, pressing a wing to her chest. "Nice to meet you!" With a flick, her wing returned right back to her side, a rosy redness of delight appearing under her feathers.

Remaining in a relaxed posture, Deimos quietly analysed the duo, attempting to cross reference them with the variety of individuals he'd encountered in the past. One of their voices was most certainly familiar, though putting a name to the voice was proving more frustrating than he would have liked. No encounters with the ghostly stone had occured in the past as far as he could recall, leading him to assume it must have been the avian that was the familiar one.

Once the Avian spoke it's name however, it all snapped in to place. Sosio, that flechinder he'd encountered while cleaning his wounds in the past and another victim of his old habit of intimidating people by default. He didn't know the Flechinder particularly well nor had he ran into her since that encounter, for good or ill really.

"That'd explain why one of the voices sounded familiar. It's been a while, Sosio. T'was back in the copse with a houndour, if that jogs your memory" Deimos replied as he descended from the ledge, figuring towering over them all wasn't the best way to have a conversation. "No Furrets for me to blow away this time?" He questioned Sosio in jest after directing a curt nod to the Spiritomb.

Ko was confused. And she didn't like being confused. "Town in the sky? Surely you are jesting me. There's no such thing, certainly." Was the bird crazy? No, just misinformed, probably. Ko had never heard of a town in the sky, and she had the knowledge of 107 other spirits besides herself.

She looked up at the absol as he greeted the bird as though they were old friends. "And what be your name, sir?" Ko questioned. The absol was perhaps a native of the mountain, though it seemed as though he ventured outside it well enought.

Sosio: {29}
Items:

"Ah, well there's a guild there if you ever heard of that one..." Sosio added onto the ghost's query, "It's called Aileron." She hoped tremendously that she pronounced the name correctly. While the fire-type was very socially adept and amiable beyond most others' capabilities, she did still struggle with names. Which, arguably, is a very important aspect of friendliness that the bird-brain simply could not get down. Now, that was definitely showing as she blanked on the dark type's own calling as he surely remembered her.

A chill ran down the bird's spine when the large mammal spoke her name. She very vaguely recalled the Houndour and the large Absol being there, but she certainly couldn't remember either of their names. She laughed a little, remembering that he had definitely taken down a Pokemon in a single swipe, but she was surprised he remembered what Pokemon it was. To Sosio, the events of that day had been a lifetime ago. Much to her relief, the other Pokemon had asked for the Absol's name, freeing her from the burden of having to ask him again despite having met him before. She turned to each of them, looking expectantly for an answer.

"Deimos, Windrose second in command. I just wandered up this far because i was in the mood for some exploration. As for Aileron? I believe i've heard that name before. If i remember right, Valen supposedly is a part of it. You could ask them" Deimos replied quickly and concisely after small bow of the head. He didn't know the ghost's species particularly well, having in truth not had the blessing of communing with one. Best try and not give a bad impression.

I won't lie, this is the last place i'd expect a flying type to be searching around. Why not stop by the copse after you've seen the peak, Sosio? People could show you the way from there." Deimos suggested towards the bird in a fairly relaxed manner. A far cry from the cautious, intimidating beast of a figure she'd encountered prior. Not being wounded has its perks when social interaction comes around.
