| Solus the FloatzelPutting himself in danger on purpose. Denying all responsibilities. - Personality:
Solus’s personality is hard to nail down. Depending on what’s happening, where he is, and who’s around, he could be quiet and reserved or vocal and belligerent. He’s typically somewhere in between, if not leaning a bit more towards aggressive. He’s a proper pessimist and very slow to trust. He often feigns confidence, but it’s relatively easy for him to lose his nerve and he struggles to get it back.
He has serious responsibility issues.. He’s unwilling to accept responsibility for doing anything bad that he’s done, which is a primary reason why he’s content serving under Krikka—even though he denies it; he uses her authority over him as a scapegoat for the bad things he does. He also has issues with most authority figures—parents, law enforcement, guild members.
He’/s often quick to anger, and just as quick to jump to violence—so long as he’s not alone. Especially if Krikka’s around to pull him out of the fire, he may pick fights he knows he can’t win. If you ask him what he thinks, he’s very likely to go on and on, especially if he has a strong opinion on something.
- Likes & Dislikes:
» Likes: Taking Risks. Be it betting on competitions or games, or attempting to swipe a valued item from a powerful Pokemon, Solus enjoys the thrill of taking risks.
Swimming. Unsurprisingly, Solus likes spending time in the water.
Spicy food. There are many flavours in this world, but Solus prefers spicy food above any others.
» Dislikes: Large bodies of water. Despite being an excellent swimmer, Solus hates being in large bodies of water, such as the ocean or anything where the opposite coast cannot easily be seen. This stems from the fact that he has no idea what might be lurking in such a vast place.
Optimists. Things haven't been going well for Solus, and those that try to look on the bright side of life just get under his skin. As far as he can tell there's not much to be optimistic about, and the whole idea seems like a farce.
Psychic types. Solus has an innate distrust of psychic types. Something about the potential of reading his thoughts puts him on edge. After an encounter with a hypno, his opinion has only worsened.

| Subject: Maxie Sun Jun 18, 2017 3:59 am | |
| Maxie the MawileWorking for the Guild. Pretending she knows what she's doing. - Personality:
Maxie has sort of a blunt personality, and loves giving advice. She often fails to notice that her help is not always wanted, or that she can come across as somewhat finger-pointy.
She's generally a logical thinker, and tends to respond with either stunned silence or long, angry tirades when she encounters something she can't make sense of. In spite of this, she generally has a good sense of humor, once the initial shock has worn off.
Maxie is very well-read, and has spent a lot of time studying other famous explorers. As a result, most of what she knows about exploring comes from book and hearsay rather than personal experience, leaving her with a very romanticized view of what to expect. To put it more simply, she is enamored with the idea of being an explorer but lacks real experience in the subject.
- Likes & Dislikes:
» Likes: Since she was very young, she has enjoyed reading and rock-collecting as quiet activities that allow her to temporarily escape the noise and crowds of the central part of the caves where she was raised. She also likes to sing but is not very good at it. Silly spontaneous couplets echoing off the walls of the cave were an unfortunate reality of her early childhood, and silly spontaneous couplets are still an unfortunate reality of spending time with her now. She also likes to eat, and essentially possessing two mouths to feed has left her with both a large appetite and a rather discerning palette. Sweets and Spicy food are her favorite, but she likes most strong flavors indiscriminately. Unrepentant pun enthusiast.Seriously, do not get her started. Seriously.
» Dislikes: She was raised to believe that deliberately betraying another's trust is as low as a Pokemon can sink, and therefore hates liars, double-dealers, backstabbers, and dishonest shopkeepers. It has also been said that she hates the color orange, and having grown up in the desert, she's seen enough yellow-orange-brown to last three lifetimes. She also hates being manipulated. While very few people would enjoy such a thing, one must note that Maxi thinks of herself as more clever and experienced than she is; too clever, in fact, to fall for such petty tricks, so when she inevitably does, it's an especially bad blow to her ego. On a lighter note, she rather dislikes Chesto berries on account of their tough skins and lack of flavor. She is also uncomfortable in humidity, mainly due to being unused to it.
- History:
She was hatched and raised in the deserts east of Grassveil, in a cave-dwelling colony of Mawile and other desert Pokemon. She had grown up hearing stories about the brave-slash-foolish adventurers from the west who would come to the desert to try and discover its secrets, an later, reading about famous explorers from around the world. She has long nursed a desire to travel the world and be like the daring, noble, and intrepid explorers she's read so much about. While the desert may have a certain aura of peril and mystique from an outsider's point of view, from the perspective of one who has lived there their whole life, it's about as exciting as any other scorching, miles-wide sand pit one might find, (which is to say not very exciting at all, now is it?) which has only increased her desire to leave. Finally, able to bear it no longer, Maxie scrounged up some traveling funds, left her home and made her way to the explorer's guild in Grassveil. Adoption Application

| Subject: Rex Thu Sep 28, 2017 6:05 pm | |
| Rex the OnixCausing problems on purpose. Building a cult. - Personality:
Rex is a violent and cruel character. He is more than willing to pick a fight with anyone and will destroy things in the environment just because he can. He is inherently antagonistic towards kindhearted Pokemon but can become faithfully loyal to those who demonstrate a cruel nature similar to his own. Rex would rather settle things in a fight over a discussion, but when fighting is not an option he will not hesitate to insult his opponent regardless of how detrimental it may be to his situation.
Do not let his violent and brutish behaviour deceive you, though; Rex is intelligent and educated and, occasionally, actually quite clever. Still, he is prone to getting carried away with his hobby—that is, making the lives of everyone around him miserable—and often forgets to consider the efforts of those that work against him which often leads him to be forced to retreat.
- Likes & Dislikes:
» Likes: Destruction: smashing structures, toppling trees, and even simply tearing up the terrain are all enjoyable pastimes to Rex. Fighting: if he’s not destroying the things around him, Rex will happily substitute objects for other Pokemon. Causing Problems, even if destruction isn’t the way to do it. Rex is happy to put in some serious effort if it means making life harder for others.
» Dislikes: Rex despises losing. Yes, most Pokemon aren’t fans of losing, but Rex has no honour and will break any and all rules if it means he wins. That includes changing the rules so that he wins and breaking anyone who would disagree with his changes. Rex doesn’t think there is much he can’t do on his own, and when he finds something he can’t do alone he generally resorts to finding alternative (and often destructive) methods to achieving his goals; he will not abide pity nor aid. Water? Nope nope nope. Rain is irritating, water attacks more so; but bodies of water—lakes, rivers, motes, and especially the ocean—are guaranteed ways to stop Rex in his tracks.
- History:
Onix and Steelix tend to work towards one common goal—the construction and expansion of their underground network of tunnels. It is only natural, as tunnels are the optimal mode of transportation for the two species, as well as the means by which they locate food. Rex, however, did not work towards this goal. Rex was more interested in the deconstruction of tunnels, collapsing the old and abandoned ones at first, but eventually worked his way up to newer ones, stunting and stalling forward progress as tunnels were reconstructed. Eventually Rex was threatened with exile and chose to leave of his own volition. Rex’s particular colony didn’t possess much in the way of a normal family structure, meaning Rex lacked any significant ties to anyone particular from his colony.
After leaving his colony, Rex began to demonstrate his destructive ability on that which lies on the earth’s surface, digging near-surface tunnels with thin ceilings which would collapse and cause minor sinkholes given a decent disturbance—such as an onix slamming its full weight into the ground nearby. Rex had no regard for the people he may have been hurting, physically or otherwise, nor the damage we was doing to the once sound areas of earth. Upon being confronted and informed that he was a nuisance and a danger, the onix simply embraced the insults and denouncing as compliments.
When not desecrating the surface of the earth, Rex would seek out other Pokemon to challenge him in combat. Due to the significant size difference between himself and most other Pokemon, he didn’t get many willing rivals. Those who did accept his challenge often did so because they had a type advantage, and many of these fights he would inevitably lose. This failed to teach the onix humility, however, and also lead to a lack of significant combat experience.

| Subject: Mocha Mon Jan 28, 2019 11:05 pm | |
| Mocha the ZangooseTrying to play the hero. Trying to figure herself out. - Personality:
Mocha is through the eyes of many (and especially through her own) is a strong-willed warrior who keeps the past in check while trying to be a part of history herself. Never has Mocha ever been observed to be aloof, she is as expressive as a Zangoose gets, and that can make things a tad awkward. Typically, Mocha isn't one to mope around or be sad. She's normally talkative, loud, and full of mirth.
When the time to be serious comes around, she can throw off her cheerful veil to get things done. Some (such as herself) may consider Mocha’s actions to be that of a hero, since she believes that there is a set “right” and “wrong” in the world which has no flexibility. Murder and theft is wrong, as well as mindlessly quarreling with snakes; actions such as helping others and nursing eggs and such would be considered right. When the separation between good and evil is not so obvious, she could meditate for hours on end in thought on the situation, given the time. She thinks very, very intensely before making the smallest of decisions.
She is also fascinated with the past. For this, she seeks ancient treasures direly, but not for greed; she wants to learn more and more, to pass the knowledge of such things on to others.
- Likes & Dislikes:
» Likes: Peace and quiet are an absolute necessity for this Zangoose to concentrate and think. Otherwise she's all jittery and nervous. Mocha also enjoys grooming, and not just herself! She could spend hours on end playing with a Furfrou’s malleable pelt as well as keeping her own fur straight; it's a hobby that most folks do not expect. Mocha sits wide-eyed in front of any storyteller that remembers tales of grandeur and adventure! » Dislikes: Mocha is not a hateful Zangoose, but she does not very much enjoy sleepless nights, less so even than others. She gets grumpy and becomes vulnerable to lashing out with a sharp tongue without a proper ten hours of sleep. She brings pity upon those with little direction in their lives, despite the same being quite similar for herself. She feels overwhelmingly unhappy for such and puts their needs over her own for a short time. Later, she feels very hypocritical about this. If she ever decides to join an organization, she'll definitely choose one that feels more like a family. She can't stand endless legions of stuck-up, snobby imperialists.
- History:
Mocha was born into a close-minded group of Zangoose nomads, in which their one goal was eat, sleep, and do nothing more than live straight on the line of survival. There wasn't really any room for noble causes and the like. To be completely honest, for the short time that Mocha had been alive before she decided what she wanted to do about her situation, she was completely fine with her mediocre life of snake fightin’ and lack of wanderlust. She was quite the introvert at the time she spent there. She didn't like playing with her fellow cubs and she immediately felt like she was just… Sitting around and doing absolutely nothing important; she didn't think twice about it though.
For the first big chunk of her life, she didn't even know there was much more than what she was living, ‘till some trader showed up with some real admirable goods and stories. This acted as a sort of call to adventure. She'd pester the trader over and over again about information, until one day he just said, “Why don't you find out for yourself?” to a question about what Grassveil was like. So, she planned for a couple days, while also seeing the cruelty of the folks around her toward Seviper trespassers, and she didn't quite understand what the feud was for. She took a long time to think about it, but nothing came up that explained the “why?” factor.
So, she packed up her things and left the pack to their hunting primitive shenanigans, taking the assumed trail that the merchant had left the town two days prior. She later completely regretted this, as she cowardly left without telling anyone—not that she had many friends to tell. She'd go on to be very embarrassed about the topic, dismissing anybody who asked about her past with a, “It's not too interesting. Surely you'd enjoy a different story.” Adoption Application

| Subject: Pierce Sun Feb 02, 2020 7:37 am | |
| Pierce the ArchenRunning away from home. Causing trouble unwittingly. Putting himself in danger for fun. - Personality:
Pierce can best be described as generally happy-go-lucky; and a bit dimwitted. He seeks out fun and interesting things to do, and lacks a good judgement of what is and isn’t safe; he has in the past, and most certainly will in the future, put himself in danger without even realising it. Pierce is young and naive, but not quite gullible. He is generally pretty certain in himself and what he thinks, and it is difficult to persuade him otherwise—or persuade him of anything in general, once he’s already formed an opinion.
His expressions of emotion tend to lean towards extremes. When angry, he will not hesitate to flail wildly and attack whatever or whoever upset him—though he’s not the most competent fighter. When he’s afraid, he will panic and flea at just about any cost, potentially (and likely) making whatever situation he’s in worse for himself and others involved. When excited—whether for good reason or bad—he will blather incoherently.
Pierce is easily distracted and rarely follows directions well. Due to being raised as an only child in relative isolation, he is fairly socially inept. This doesn’t stop him from trying to socialize, though. All in all, he tends to be a bit of a nuisance. Despite that, he generally means well, and tries to be kind and helpful to those he takes a liking to—even if his help isn’t particularly helpful. He has issues with authority, however. When his grandparents took over the job of raising him, he grew resentful of them, and other authority figures by extension.
Thanks to Defeatist, Pierce is also susceptible to bouts of sullenness, in which he becomes to polar opposite of his normal, exaggerated expressiveness, moping about and being generally unmotivated.
- Likes & Dislikes:
» Likes: - Toys! Or anything that he might think would make a good toy. Or anything shiny, really. - Heights! Sure, he can’t fly, but that won’t stop him from trying. Also, he likes to take in as much of the scenery as he can, and there’s no better place to do that than from the sky. Unfortunately, he’ll have to settle for the tallest thing he can find instead. - Company! Raised as an only child on an isolated island full of hostile Pokemon, Pierce has always craved interaction with others. - Music! A surefire way to get him to calm down and generally quiet down, Pierce loves listening to music.
» Dislikes: - Ghosts! They’re scary! - Cold weather. Especially if it’s snowing. Coming from a tropical island, cold climates are about as far out of Pierces comfort zone as you can get. - Water of all kinds, but especially the sea. He’s a rock type, so he has an inherent dislike of the stuff. Not to mention the sea made him feel forever trapped on the island he was born on. - Sleeping! If you’re asleep, you’re going to miss all the things that happen when you’re asleep! It’s a waste of time and unless convinced there is absolutely nothing going on, Pierce will fight to keep awake.
- History:
His mother (an archeops named Akiva) and father (an aerodactyl named Titus) met when they were young. Young and carefree, it was practically love at first sight. They acquainted each other on many adventures, flying far and wide across the lands to see the sights. Despite how strongly they felt bonded with one another, they waited a full two years before they decided to wed. A grand display of flowers, a small collection of family and friends, and a romantic night later, they were blessed with an egg.
This egg, however, was not Pierce. This was his older brother. Despite all the time and commitment they put into each other, Titus just wasn't ready for the responsibilities. So, he left. He went hunting one day and simply never came back. Akiva was left alone with her egg, but the betrayal of the Aerodactyl was too much. She turned to her family, but was shocked to find herself turned away from them as well. Obviously there was something wrong with her if a perfectly nice man like Titus left, right?
Well, there was something wrong with her, but the issues didn't rise until the stress of it all came crashing down on her. Whether it was a cause or pure coincidence was unknown, seeing as she was entirely alone with her egg through it all. By the time Titus realized the error of his ways and returned, literal years later, it was far too late. She'd lost her mind and the child was nowhere to be seen. Limited knowledge Titus picked up from the Akiva's ramblings granted him the name and the assumption that it was dead.
Blaming himself for ruining his wife's life in such a way, he remained with her through her illness. Though he generally stayed with her for the majority of the day, some days he’d be gone for prolonged periods of time, when hunting wasn’t going as well as one would hope. On one of those days, he returned home to find Akiva missing. After a frantic search of the island, he found her nearly a day later; with an egg—this one was Pierce. He never got an explanation for its appearance. After this event, he was sure not to leave the nest for any prolonged periods of time.
When the egg hatched, Titus was sure to raise the child as best he could. He made a good father, all things considered—even if Pierce was quite the reckless little bird. As he grew older, he started straying further and further from his nest, despite his father’s persistent reminders that he should stay close to home. After an incident involving several Alolan exeggutor and Pierce almost getting himself squished, Titus’s parents—an aerodactyl named Gwendolyn and a corviknight named Gareth—decided Titus wasn’t fit to be a parent. Having already dismissed Akiva on account of her condition, they decided taking care of Pierce themselves was the only option.
They took Pierce while visiting and relocated to the mainland, specifically Rainfront Town, without even telling Titus. Pierce didn’t fully understand why he his grandparents had suddenly taken the place of his dad, or why he no longer lived on the island, or why he never got to see either of his parents anymore. Fortunately, Rainfront Town and its surroundings provided plenty of distractions for him. Despite his grandparents—and specifically his grandfather’s—more strict parenting, Pierce didn’t change much. If anything he grew a bit more resentful towards authority and more distant when interacting with adults.
Moving didn’t help Pierce make any new friends. On top of the usual problem of being “the new kid,” he also didn’t really know how to make friends. Or keep them, really. He was never the best at sharing, and he often played a bit too rough for some. His frequent overreactions to things didn’t help, either. Eventually he stopped trying to make friends and started wandering into the Mystery Dungeons outside of town.
After returning home from a long day of wondering, his grandpa was none to pleased that he had been shirking his chores and not coming home when he was expected to. After a long and drawn out berating and punishment—and being told he wasn’t allowed to leave the house anymore—Pierce decided to do just that. Late in the night, he pack up everything he thought would be important—all the toys he could fit into a bag, being sure to leave a little room for food and any fun things he might find—he snuck out of the house and wandered his way farther than he’d ever wandered before. Then he kept wandering.
