PostSubject: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 5 EmptyThu Mar 27, 2014 2:03 am

First topic message reminder :

The only sound that echoed through the mountain was the sound of the wind, in the mountains, one could spot a blue shine. If one were to zoom in on the blue shine, they would spot a small reptilian creature with tiny arms and a large jaw. Across the big jawed pokemon's neck, lay a blue amulet, that signified her royal descent. The blue sapphire shined brightly as the tyrunt stared at her finally finished shelter.

It was rather rude, due to the tyrunt's inability to stack boulders easily, and consisted of using an already overhanging dent of a rock, and taking several days to move two boulders to the side of it so she could be enclosed in her area beneath the overhand. It was not quite the best for a princess such as her, but it would have to due. She had no servants after all, or subjects, knights, anything!

The tyrunt sighed and placed her belongings in the back of the tyrunt formed cave, which just barely fit even her, except the amulet. She always wore the amulet with her to places. It was all she had left of her home, all that she had really brought with her that was not consumable or for supplies. Victoria looked up to the top of the mountain she set up a shelter at the base of, its obsidian peak was jammed into the cloudy sky, as if stabbing into a piece of fluff. The sky could not be seen by the amount of clouds, and she could not care less about this area's gloomy look. She had claimed this area, and now it was time to begin her empire!

She began to grin at the thought, but the grin slowly faded as a question came to her mind.

How was she going to do that?

While Ares and Victoria were having their battle with the Scrafty, Enzu was having his own challenging match with the Primeape. The large ape pokemon refused to simply back down even after taking a few hits from Enzu, and along with each hit the ape's rage continued to grow larger. With the ape's strength rising with its rage it also began to block out it's surroundings, so when the large rock fell onto the Scrafty and Victoria the ape did not break step and continued to charge at Enzu with another Thunder Punch, it was determined to land a successful and powerful attack on the small and evasive blade pokemon.

Even though Enzu was almost equally focused on the battle as the Primeape, he was still slightly distracted by the large rock falling in the distance. Enzu did not see what pokemon were underneath the rock when it fell, but he quickly turned his glance to look at the rock as it collided with the ground. Unfortunately this one second of delay in Enzu's movement caused enough delay in his movements that he was unable to dodge the Primeape's Thunder Punch completely.

The Primeape's attack landed on Enzu's shoulder, causing him to be launched backward, sliding across the mud. Enzu had to cancel the charging of his Psycho Cut in order to not put extra strain on his arms. Given another moment or two and Enzu would be able to start using his Psycho Cut's again, but until then he would need to try and keep his distance from the Primeape.

After landing a blow on Enzu, the Primeape was satisfied with it's successful blow. However it was beginning to again charge at Enzu to try and attack with another Thunder Punch.

The tyrunt planted her feet firmly in the ground as a hand grabbed her scruff, she managed to keep in place as the hand slipped from her scruff and pulling some of the feathers from her scruff and causing pain to spread through her. The crashing of the rocks caused her to back up, not wishing to be caught by any rocks that might have somehow reached out to where she was to squish her like a bug pokemon.

The dark fog finally cleared slightly as it stretched apart to spread itself through the air to reveal the Scrafty to be completely buried under boulders with only a hand visible that still gripped onto the feathers that had been ripped from her scruff. The tyrunt heard the cackle of electricity, she turned to see the primeape making a move towards the pawniard. The tyrunt decided to go ahead and help the pawniard, he just might prove himself as useful and powerful as the charmander later on anyways. The tyrunt neared as she realized that she would not make it on time to defend the pawniard from the attack.

She instead allowed the power to surge within her again and be released in a loud large roar aimed at the pawniard in attempt to blow him off of his spot and out of the range of the primeape's fists.

As the fog began to thin out, Ares could feel his breath stagger to a stall. His eyes, wide with unforeseen anxiety, seemed to quiver in their sockets as his pupils attempted to pick out the damage that had been inflicted by the boulder. At first, his heart would pump furiously as he identified a shadow covered body trapped beneath the boulder - it was an intense moment that seemed to drag for eternity. He cared little for the rain that splattered against his bald, orange cranium, he cared not for the wind that attempted to chill his bones: all that was certain was that he had possibly let his neighbor - his hostess - become nothing more than crumpled, squashed meat and bone beneath a large stone fixture. It was considered dishonorable to lose one's ally in a battle, and even more so to have it as a repercussion from one's actions. His feet would not budge as he waited for confirmation, for he was too transfixed with the perceived outcome to truly believe that the world had pressed on.

His heart would truly swell with joy and relief as the SmokeScreen dissipated to reveal a relatively healthy Tyrunt standing near the shattered boulder, of which had pinned the Scrafty beneath its indomitable weight. It was not surprising that an organic shaped structure of its size and volume had toppled over in a forward arc - it was even more impressive that it had merely crumbled up near its base and had maintained its solid state. Ares cared little for the logistics of stones, though, for he promptly rallied himself to aid in the Pawniard's cause. With one foe down and out from the causes of misadventure, the other would most certainly follow in suite.

Forward the Charmander charged, his flame burning brightly and producing a visible stream of steam as the rain bombarded his flesh with fervid intensity. His heat had doubled, his passion smoldering with great heat: he was primed and ready for the conclusion to the battle. As Victoria allowed her vocal chords to sound off a rather powerful bellow, Ares remained inclined to fight with full offense. A flurry of fireballs, generous in size, would spew forth from his jaws as he fired an Ember attack, attempting to pepper the Primeape and possibly leave a burn.

As the Primeape began its charge towards Enzu, Enzu began to make his own move to try and avoid the oncoming attack. However, before Enzu could get enough speed to dodge the attack, he was taken surprise by Victoria's Roar, and it launched Enzu into the air and away from the Primeape's on coming punch. Luckily Enzu was able to regain himself while in the air and was able to land back on his feet, even though he did still slide a bit on the mud soaked ground. As Enzu looked back in the direction of the other pokemon, he saw Ares' flames flying towards the Primeape.

Even though the rain was causing the flames to shrink as they flew, they still were powerful enough to damage the Primeape when they hit. The flames caused its fur to singe, and a small patch of the Primeapes fur was lit aflame by the attack. It quickly suppressed the flame by using its hand to smother it. After the Primeape had dealth with the fire, it began to run at Ares this time, with another Thunder Punch charged on its clenched fist.

Enzu still wasn't confident in charging up a Psycho Cut with his arm still injured, so all he could do was wait a few more moments before aiding in more attacks.

Victoria's throat was beginning to feel a bit raspy from these loud bellows that had the force to knock pokemon about, teaching her that this new move came with a price. She could not use it too many times too frequently before it began to get weaker along with her own voice. The tyrunt had come to a halt to try and assess the situation and try to figure out what she needed to do or if she was needed at all.

The primeape had been blasted with flames, and seemed to go after the Charmander, seeming to want vengeance for burning its fur. Victoria, who was also beginning to tire out as her muscles began to complain about all of the movements, tried to think of something she could do without the new move that involved blasting opponents with a wave of sound. The primeape seemed to be weakening as well, which was good, but so did the pawniard and herself, but what about the charmander?

He was quite content with himself at this point, for, from what he could tell, there might be a burn located underneath that singed fur. If that were the case, then it would serve them well in the long run; with a burn, a Pokemon couldn't focus all of its attention and energy upon an attack that required them to be in melee range. Though the Charmander could not be absolutely certain that this occurred, he wouldn't be exceedingly surprised if it did.

Having been nurtured in the crucible of war and taught her ways by the relentless nature of battle, Ares was quite used to long encounters. Sweat, tears, blood, guts, stench, plague, death: they were all but accessories to be adorned and admired while slashing into the abdomen of a greater enemy or having one's own flesh ripped right off of their body. As it stood right now, the stalwart gladiator had just begun to get started - to warm up - and was still eagerly anticipating the moment in which he might feel the first dewdrops of exhaustion condense upon his mind. Though he was not necessarily in the most pristine of conditions, there was still plenty more to be expected from him so long as he had the support of his allies; likewise, he would act as a beam to prop them up as well.

He had moved swiftly to liberate himself from the crackling strike of the Primeape, and could feel the powerful energy surrounding the furred menace's bald mitts. It was awe-inspiring and wondrous: a power he would like to call his own one day. Ares had always admired the ability to channel spark and lightning to one's finger tips, and had found it a skill that must prove useful in many circumstances. If one were to fight a water-bound opponent, or perhaps even find their enemy standing in a puddle, a simple punch to the ground would be more than enough to leave them smoking like burnt toast. Though such thoughts rambled on within his skull, he remained focused and alert to the events going on about him. For example, as the Primeape was following through with its electrically charged attack, Ares would attempt to blind it with a concentrated SmokeScreen as he continued through with his own movement.

Enzu watched as Ares artfully dodged the Primeape's attack. Enzu had to admire the Charmanders ability and energy. For he was able to keep going this long in the fight and seemed to still have energy left to fight. However Enzu knew that with the rain Ares would not be able to keep fighting for much longer. The water would eventually extinguish his flame put the Charmanders life at risk. This urgency is what caused Enzu to move into action. They were able to battle these strong pokemon and nearly defeat them. Enzu didn't want to lose an all to something like a weather effect. Enzu charged at the Primeape and began charging a Psycho Cut. Hopefully with either his attack or some other attack from Ares, they would be able to defeat their final opponent and get Ares back into the shelter of the cave.

Victoria could only spectate as the primeape and the charmander continued to combat each other. The charmander having a advantage as the burn distracted the primeape. The rain still pelted the ground as the pawniard moved to attack the primeape, his blades glowing purple as the psychic type attack moved to combat the fighting type pokemon. The tyrunt mustered the energy to force herself forward once more, her breath becoming cold as icicles coated the bones of her teeth as she ran to bite the leg of the primeape, hoping to freeze him in place long enough to allow a few more attacks in.

The Princess's Expedition - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Princess's Expedition   The Princess's Expedition - Page 5 EmptyMon Jul 14, 2014 11:11 am

A Charmander's flame was quite the extraordinary thing. It was directly tied to his energy and life force, and, after experiencing a great many battles, would burn with a passion equitable to a smoldering star. It was not entirely weak to the rain as one might presume it would be - as evidenced by the steam that seemed to roll away from the heat of his tail - but the slick surfaces of the damp terrain and the cold that was brought about from the pounding rain droplets made things less than easy. Certainly it provided an advantage when one was attempting to evade due to its slippery nature, but this could also be seen as a detriment if one weren't able to maintain their balance. Ares had long since practiced and studied the art of war to understand the simplicity of the placement of his moving feet, but often a skill could grow dull and rusty with the lack of use - just as if it were a blade.

As it appeared that his SmokeScreen attack would not be needed for the Primeape's vicious strike had been viciously evaded, the young Charmander was left in a situation that one might consider favorable. The rabid, pugnacious ape like creature would predictably be following the flow of inertia and force and have its closed fist continue to swing through at the air, which left a premier opening for a counterstrike. It appeared that he was not the only one taking this opportunity to strike, for all three were eager to strike and decimate this foul adversary. Upon the balls of his feet he would begin to turn, rotating himself so that he might face the Primeape's side and prepare to strike it fiercely. Pulling back his mighty clawed hand, he would swing it through swiftly in order to create a "Scratch-Punch": a Scratch attack paired with the blunt force of a punch. If anything, he aimed to smash it into the side of the monkey's skull so that it might rattle his brains and send him flying, or at least stun him long enough for his comrades to successfully land their own strikes.

As Enzu ran towards the Primeape, he saw Victoria begin to charge the Primeape shortly after he did so too. Maybe with all three of them attacking at once they could defeat the Primeape with little delay. Once Enzu was close enough he launched his Psycho Cut at the Primeape. It was close enough that the attack wouldn't lose any power from traveling too far, but close enough that he would not be at risk of getting hit again by the fighting type. Luckily Ares' attack was able to hold the attention of the Primeape long enough that it didn't notice either Enzu or Victoria and their attacks approaching.

The primeape had been too focused on Ares, and failed to notice the attacks. It felt something smack into its skull, its skin being cut open from the attack. It felt something latch onto its leg, an icy sensation trickled up his leg and extreme pain struck through his leg before submitting to numbness as the cold took over. As if the two attacks weren't enough, the psycho cut slammed into it, the primeape's body taking on the attack. The primeape gave a squeal, and tried to free itself, becoming terrified of this trio. It kicked, but the tyrunt was still latched onto its foot until he forced the tyrunt off and tossed her back over to her friends before limping away.
Victoria spat out some icy chunks from her mouth, she stood to watch the primeape flee before falling back onto her behind. The fight had been long and exhausting for the tyrunt, she may have been royalty, but royalty didn't define how strong she was. Compared to the two that she had just fought with, she was still a mere magikarp.

Contact! Ares felt a furious fire burn proud and bright in his heart as his curled claws lacerated the Primeape's flesh. The combined efforts of this ragtag trio had finally dispatched a much stronger and highly dangerous adversary, and the Charmander would remain blissfully aloof to the rain that pounded against his heated, scaled skin. Steam rose forth from the flame that burned upon his tail, for its height and strength had increased greatly over the course of this encounter. With his eyes narrowed, his hands upon his hips, and his chest pushed forward, he surveyed the Primeape flee with an incredulous and judgmental glare. Finally, he would allow a hearty laugh to be given as he mocked the defeated foe, his voice filled to the brim with jovial jest. "Look," he implored his fellows, "look at how it flees from a battle it started! What fun is there in that?"

A bolt of lightning surged towards the ground, its path jagged as it snaked to meet a rock structure. Its glorious light illuminated the chiseled features of the Charmander's face, and it appeared as if he desired more conflict - to roll in ruin and dine with tyrants. He did not budge as that streak connected and zapped that stoney outcropping, nor did he scurry when the thunder roared in frustration: at that moment, he felt invincible and supreme. Nothing - and no one - would ever be glorious enough to hobble him. This was a warrior's passion. This was a warrior's curse.

Enzu watched as the Primeape ran off after getting hit by the attacks. Enzu could see that Ares was still simply standing out in the rain and he ran over to Ares so that he could try and get the Charmander to go back into the cover of the cave. "Ares, we should really get you back under cover," he said, "You might not feel it now but keeping your flame out in the rain for too long will start to effect, and possibly kill you. And I doubt that you would want any death besides that of a warrior." Enzu figured if he could just show Ares the risk, and also apply to his warrior spirit at the same time, then Ares may agree to getting shelter.

The tyrunt forced her now heavy and tired body up, the rain splashed against her rough skin, but the droplets of water weren't as big as they had been when they were fighting. The storm seemed to be calming down slightly, it didn't matter so much to the tyrunt as it seemed to the pawniard. She approached the two once more, "What's going on?" she asked, her voice unable to hide her exhaustion. It was thanks to her rock typing, that the tyrunt was still even standing at this moment.
Rocks were tough, its difficult to break one. This rock wasn't quite a pure one, having the mix of the fierce dragon with her, but it was still enough to allow her to stand with every bit of energy she had remaining.
