The Sun's Stewards Empty
PostSubject: The Sun's Stewards   The Sun's Stewards EmptySun Dec 15, 2013 9:04 pm

The night is cold and unforgiving to those who wander out into its grasp. No fire means no warmth, no jacket means no insulation, all of this means no heat. A place where a lost little girl wandered was strange, it was warm, there wasn't a spec of snow around here. She had been wandering for god knows how long. Not a single companion was with her, not even a stuffed one, making her more alone than she had ever been in her small short life.

The place she walked was strange, it was as if a void obscured her view and she could only see a foot in front of her. She reached out her hand in attempt to feel her way around, her sense of touch felt nothing, but her mind told her she was touching something furry. Her face twisted in confusion as she felt what seemed to be a bushy tail, she reached up in search of the end of it and her mind told her that her hand was burning. She felt nothing, but still whipped her hand back in mock pain. Her ears heard nothing, but her mind told her there was a loud bellowing sound, the sound of rage, followed by fierce growling. Only then did she see something in the strange darkness, a pair of enraged glowing blue eyes followed by a flash of teeth.

Paige yelled in terror, falling off of her bed and hitting the wall to the side as she fell in between her bed and the wall. Her alarm was making an annoying noise similar to a whismur's cry. She groaned, realizing it had been just a dream and she was really in her own home, safe, sound, and seventeen. She was annoyed that she had not realized it was a dream since she was so young looking in her dream, even though she could not see herself in her dream her mind knew her age of the dream.

She sighed, her legs were still up on the bed while an arm was being painfully held up by her dresser with the alarm clock, the wall had smacked her head and the only thing keeping her from falling to the floor was her other arm she had pushed out in reaction instinct. She felt a pressure on her leg and looked up to see an eevee staring back down at her with a concerned face. Its brown fur was fluffy and seemed to be freshly groomed, "Mom gave you a bath again didn't she Xionin?" Paige teased. The Eevee gave a huff in annoyance before turning and walking back onto the bed, obviously unhappy with being forced to be clean.

"Where's Arachna?" Paige asked, getting up from her awkward position with little trouble. She sat on her bed next to the eevee, awaiting an answer. The eevee was silent for a moment before flicking its tail towards Paige's closet. The 17 year old got up off of her now ruined bed and walked towards the closet that reflected her image back to her using a mirror. The closet showed the girl her own blonde pixie cut hair, pale face, and silver earrings she had forgotten to take out before she went to bed last night. She opened the closet to reveal a strange spider like creature shying into a corner. It had four eyes in the place of what looked like one black space in the shape of an eye and a eye in the middle. A round red eye took up half of her torso which faced away as the white legs of the creature pressed it into the corner. (Click The description for an exact Picture)

Paige cursed upon the sight of its abdomen spray painted with a clown face and an assortment of vile words.
"I told Hiyna no touching Arachna!" she hissed under her breath upon the sight of her pokemon. Paige's voice lowered to a cooing noise as she lured the spider like pokemon out. The pokemon was extremely timid and shy, thus being easily scared. Paige figured that the poor Spidead must have been terrified with that many people that were in her house last night. Paige had no choice though, since Hinya had insisted on having the party at her house, as her mother had approved of it as long as it didn't get too wild.

Paige washed the spray paint off of the spider's abdomen and it returned to its black and white color. The spider smiled shyly, at least it seemed to be smiling even though it had no mouth, and climbed onto the woman's shoulder. Paige scratched the side of her neck as she went down stairs and stopped half way. The couch was missing, spray paint was all over the walls, bottles of soda littered the floor and stained the carpet, the love seat was flipped over, the TV was on the ground, and to be summarized, it looked like a hurricane went through the room. She blinked and heard the clinking of dishes in the kitchen, mom.

She turned right around and started to more quietly go back up into her room. Her mother had surely seen the mess. She was going to be in BIG trouble, even though she had not meant for it to become that wild. She-was that a pine apple stuck in a wall!? How did they even do that!? Paige hurried to her room, quickly leaving a note that she had gone off to the eevee club. She HAD to get out of the house before her mother found out she was awake. She would probably have to wait a few days to let her mother blow off some steam. This was a common occurrence in Paige's every day life, something would go wrong that she didn't mean and, of course, she would get blamed for it.

How did she not remember the party though? Paige assumed that Hinya had brought her drowzee and had it use hypnosis on her. Paige cursed under her breath as she climbed out the window, the spider still attached to her, and reached out to a near by tree, grabbing its limp and letting her weight slowly ease her down low enough for her to let go. Xionin appeared through the doggy door of the front door, rolling the grass a few times before following Paige to the sidewalk. Lucky for Paige, today was the day Eevee club gathered. So at least she would be telling the truth to her mother.

She sighed in relief, and began to walk to the meeting house.

The Sun's Stewards Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sun's Stewards   The Sun's Stewards EmptySun Dec 15, 2013 10:14 pm

Crystal blue eyes blinked open staring at the window, the curtains to which had not been drawn the previous night; it was summer, so the nights were warmer and it didn't matter so much. Sitting up and stretching her arms, Eleanor got out of bed and wandered over to the window, glancing at the clock on her bedside table as she did so. It was rather early in the morning and she had plenty of time to relax before she'd have to leave to get to the club's meeting.

Pushing open the window and keeping it propped open with a thick piece of wood, Ellie peered out, letting the cool morning air caress her face, her pale brown hair gentle blowing in the soft breeze. An Eevee hopped up onto the windowsill, nuzzling it's face against Ellie's arm. With a small chuckle, Ellie lifted her hand to scratch behind the Eevee's ear.
"Morning, Reena," she smiled before she turned her blue gaze once more to the view outside her window. Though Eleanor and her family lived in Shuyōna City, the biggest city in the entire Taiyō region, they had a house on the outskirts and if they were completely honest, it felt more like an overly large village than part of a city. Of course it was nothing compared to their previous home near the edge of a large forest, but it was better than the main, bustling streets of the region's capital.

Retreating from the outside, Ellie took a quick shower before getting changed into some comfortable clothes. As she was sorting the tangled mess that was her hair, another pokemon fluttered in through the open window, landing on Ellie's bed. The pokemon most prominently resembled a Rattata, though it's fur was mostly pale blue, with paler hints of green that faded into white. It had clear, insect wings reminiscent to that of a Beedrill, and a tail that reminded one of a Milotic's tail tip. With a smile, Ellie paused tending to her hair to pet the small creature.
"I wondered where you'd gotten to, Celeste," she chuckled, "After all, you know today is the exact day seven years ago that I found you." At the mention of the anniversary of their meeting, Celeste fluttered up to rub her cheek against her friend and trainer's, showing her affection and gratitude. Ellie herself still remembered the day as if it were yesterday.

It had been a cold morning, especially for one in the summer and frost littered the ground in pale white, fractal patterns. As per usual, a younger Ellie would be exploring the forest with Reena, climbing trees and generally passing the time until her parents would enter the woods looking for her to tell her that lunch was ready. This time however, Ellie ventured deeper than she normally would and caught sight of something within the green of the trees. It appeared to be fox-like in nature, but had five tails. Not getting a very clear view and her curiosity piqued, Ellie had followed the unknown pokemon. Deeper and deeper into the shadowed forest she had traveled until she completely lost sight of it. Lost now and with only Reena for company, the duo wandered around, trying to find their way back out.

It felt like they'd been wandering for a while, when Ellie spotted something in the perpetual green of a summer forest. It was pale blue in colour, and curled up under a group of ferns - a creature that most predominantly resembled a Rattata in size and stature. Gently pulling back the ferns, Ellie realised that the little creature was injured, and though she'd never find out why, she gently took it into her arms and once again resumed her search for the way out of the forest.

After a while, they managed to find their way back to a more familiar part of the forest, after which they ran home to get help for the unique creature in Ellie's arms...

~~~~~
Finally ready to step out into the outside world, Ellie scooped Reena into her arms, Celeste fluttering quite happily alongside her as she headed out. She'd be rather early for the eevee club's meeting when she got there, but Ellie had figured that she could always practice a few move combinations whilst she waited. After all, it was her dream to become a successful co-ordinator, her interests lying in the creativity that it entailed.
(Like kat, i'll probably put a link to a pic of all the described, new/foreign sounding pokemon xD)
The Sun's Stewards Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sun's Stewards   The Sun's Stewards EmptySun Dec 15, 2013 10:50 pm
It was a cold summer morning, and Stan Winters was of the firm belief, not to leave his bed today.
That was until a ghastly shadow, backed by a horrifying red light was to be seen crawling along the walls of the young teenager's bedroom.
More quickly than he had ever done anything else before, Stan jumped out of his bed, got caught in his blanket and painfully landed on his side on the cold, hard wooden planks below.
Quickly his head met with the ground as flashes of strange images burst through his head, appearing in front of his inner eye and disappearing again just as quickly.
A stormy night at the beach. Towering waves crashing onto the cold sand. And inbetween everything a strange figure, blue in colour with orange markings on its chest and wings. An incredible feeling of power. Then blackness.
Slowly reemerging from his unconsciousness, Stan opened his eyes only to find himself still lying on the floor of his room.
There, he was quickly approached by an apologetic Eevee and her companion, the Tartar, which was flashing the single light imbued in its body as if to say "Sorry".
Slowly the young Male pushed himself up again, holding his head as he winced in pain.
"You just had to scare me like that, didn't you?"
Shaking his head with a pained smile on his face, Stan wandered over to the window of his room, glancing over the wide city unfolding in front of him. While it was a day like any other, Stan was still looking forward to it. After all the Eevee Club would be meeting today once more, meaning that he would get to talk to his friends again.
Scooping up the small lump of tar in the traffic cone it seemed to be wearing on its head, while picking up the Eevee with his other hand, the young boy eagerly got through the standard preparations for the day. Showering, brushing his teeth, mopping the floor whereever the Tartar had slithered to...the usual stuff.
Cleaning up after the Poison type had become second nature for the son of a road crew worker now, but in the earlier days it had been a pain in the...it had been annoying. With a grin on his face, Stan remembered attempting to cover its tracks with the expensive carpet from the living room when he had been eight years old. Needless to say, that that tactic hadn't proven to be very effective, and that that carpet had been stuck in an odd position for quite a few weeks.
In comparison to the Tartar, the Eevee was rather close to being an angel. But compared to the Tartar, everything and everyone appeared to be an angel. Being rather mischievous on its own, the Eevee's sharp claws have brought mayhem and destruction unto the furniture quite a few times already.
Both of them were quite active creatures, who were prone to fight against each other as well, but one just couldn't stay mad at the two of them. Although things would certainly get more interesting, should they ever evolve. The chaos, that would undeniably ensue then would be gargantuan.
But would they even evolve under these conditions? The normal city life wasn't nearly exciting enough to cause any Pokémon to evolve, much less a Pokémon such as Eevee, which required rather specific circumstances to evolve into one of their many forms.
Finally, after finishing breakfast, Stan managed to say goodbye to his family and stepped out of the front door of their house, the city now opening up in front of him. He still had a good deal of time left, which he spent visiting the various shops selling Pokémon-related goods, items and services.
It truly was incredible, what humanity had come up with simply to coexist with Pokémon. They were such an integral part of daily life, that existing without them seemed to be impossible.
How would Pokémon in other regions of the world look like? They would probably be completely different from anything Stan had ever seen in his entire life.
"Come on Templar, you can't be tired already," says a boy in a fencing suit to small humanoid figure.The figure was silver in color and had many strips runnung vertically through its body. It also has a head in the shape of a knights helmet. but it's most noticeable features were its red ponytail like mane and its blade-like hand on its right arm(left). The tired out Soldouble gets back up from the ground and takes a fight stance. "There you go, will like if we keep this up, we might be able to participate in next years league. Engarde!" The boy takes up his sword into fighting stance.
While they are practicing, David, the boy in the suit, recalls when he first meets his Soldouble. While he was 7, he started to get into fencing. He really enjoyed it and would practice nearly every night. His parents noticed his passion of fencing and signed him up to a fencing school. He was a genius student and breezed through the training. By his 10th birthday, he was the third best student in the entire dojo, and that includes the adult section. For his 10th birthday, his parents decided to give him something special. On that day, when David came back from his daily practice, he was greeted by Soldouble. When he asked his parents about it, they said that instead of buying him more fencing gear, they bought him a fencing partner.
Templar fell on his back exhausted, admitting defeat. David, only slightly tired and somehow oblivious to the sunlight beaming through the windows, asked "You gotta be kidding me Temp. You can't be slacking like that, its barely midnight. While saying this, Temp raises his blade to the clock. David follows his Pokemons saber and looks at the clock. "Damn mask, can't see 10 feet away from me" He mutters as he takes his face guard off. A head of pure gold with dark brown hair and small horizontal scar on his left temple from a freak fencing accident involving a worn down mask and a brand new saber.
"9...30 7... A.M...." David looks in disbelief at the clock, then looks back at Templar. Oh Arceus, Im so sorry Temp. You know how carried away I get sometimes." Templar just chuckles and waves his sword like if to say 'its alright, i forgive you'. He then just lies there as if saying 'Im gonna take a nap'. As David sighs in relief knowing that his Soldouble forgives him, he recollects his thoughts. 'If we were awake all night and yesterday was Monday, then today...' David widens his eyes in realization.
"Fudge Muffens!" Templar opens one eye to see what his master was so aggitated about. David notices Templar's open eye and tells him "Get up Temp, we gotta get to the club meeting! Templar just moans and rolls on to his stomach. "You got to be kidding me." David says to himself. He hurries to the bench where his stuff is and quickly puts his gear into his duffle bad. He was in a hurry so his suit isn't neat and folded like his mother always told him to make them after practices. He then picks up a Great Ball and returns Templar into it. "Take a nice nap, you lil' scumbag." he jokingly says to the ball.
After that he checks the clock, which has both hands on top of each other, he rushes to a brown blob of fur next to the door saying "Wakey wakey Mary, we gotta hurry." A sleepy head of an Eevee pops up of the ball of fluff. It blinks, gets up, and stretches. "Good girl" David told to the Eevee.
He then unlocks the door to the dojo(his master lets him keep a key so that David can practice when every he pleases), and leaves the building with Mary following closely behind him. After re-locking the door, he dashes into a sprint. The club house is 5 miles away and he has 10 minutes to get there.
The Eevee club was packed when Paige reached it, although the meeting started around 10, it really started at any time since the club was pretty much split off between groups that loved the different eeveelutions. Each table had its own table, but Paige remained at a table where she was split off from the rest, she had sat here the first day she was forced to come here. Her mother had gotten sick of her "mischief" and decided to stick her in this club to socialize with some "proper" people that didn't throw wild parties in your house after knocking you out unwillingly.
This table was where she stuck to the first day she came, and sat here ever since. Slowly growing her own minion army of friends to take over the world with as they came to her like bug to a light Her own eevee, Xionin, hopped onto the table, giving a stretch and licking at his beautifully ruined fur. Paige was never sure why, but the eevee just loved being dirty!
"At this rate you're going to evolve into a Litheon if you ever do..." Paige huffed to her eevee who merely flicked his ears and swished his tail.
Arachna made her way on the table as well, a bit uncomfortable with the amount of people in the same room, but happy that the table they were at didn't seem to crowded.
Paige, meanwhile, and leaned back and was balancing her chair on its hind legs in boredom. All that was on her mind was how much her mother was going to kill her when she came back. She wouldn't be able to hang around Hina's tonight because who would even call her a friend after that, and her other "friends" probably wouldn't risk their own hide for her. She was screwed.
((Friends did not mean the people in the eevee club, it's just a hint that she was fairly popular among her clique at her highschool))
Ellie, who was in a corner of the large room, practicing combinations with Reena and Celeste, hadn't noticed Paige come in and sit on their usual table. She was too busy watching the results of an attempted combination between Reena's Shadow Ball and Celeste's Silver Wind moves. Their first try had been rather disastrous, with the uncontrolled silver wind move merely splitting and dissipating the Eevee's shadow ball. However, with a little practice, they had managed to create a small display, with the glittering silver breeze becoming trapped in the darkness of the shadow ball. As they swirled, one inside the other, it became a remarkable ball of black, that emanated a soft white light from the gaps in the darkness. It was almost reminiscent to a night sky littered with stars in nature, only in the form of a small ball of energy and light.
"Awesome!" grinned Ellie, rather loudly in her excitement at the simple but seemingly effective technique.
In the street, David is running his butt of in order to get to the club by 10. He is fully aware that it is fine to be a couple minutes late, as long as your there, but it hurts him morally whenever he is late. He is usually one of the first people in the club, and being late makes him feel weak and defeated.
'If you are ever late,' exclaimed his master on the first of his training at the dojo, 'consider yourself lost.' At first, David thought that his master meant being late for a match or something like that. But after an expedition with his parents up north about 7 years ago, he understood that being late is never a good habit. Ever since, he always tries to be on time, if not early, with everything he does.
It was a brisk 68 degrees outside, 14 degrees colder then yesterday. The cold front came in overnight, and David was glad about it. It helps keep your endurance in when working out and he was personally sick of the warm muggy weather.
By the time he reaches the door, he was panting even harder then his Soldouble was earlier that day. His sleep deprivation was starting to catch up to him also. When he opened the door, it seemed heavier then last time, but he just told himself that it was his exhaustion. When he got in, he checked the on the clock on the other side of the room. He was upset when he found out that he was 5 minutes late.
Thankfully, not many noticed him, and the ones that did went back to their conversations. He then spots Paige at the table. He was about to go to her when he notices that he is missing something... Just then, Mary pops through the doggy door at the entrance made specifically for Eevees. She was wheezing and looked like she was about to collapse. David quickly scopes her up and hurries to the fountain. Next to the fountain are multiple stacks of food and water bowls. The water is free but if someone wants to feed their pokemon in the club, the gotta bring their own food. David picks up a water bowl, fills it up, then holds it next to Mary's face. Mary moves her head forward and starts drinking from it without opening her eyes.
Finally, after finishing their trip through the city, Stan, Terry and Marry arrived at the club, about five minutes too late. Not that any of them would care, though. Before making their way towards the establishment, the trio had decided to go and buy an ice pack to combat the sizeable lump, that had appeared on Stan's head.
In the club, the usual groups could be spotted, discussing a wide variety of topics, most of them obviously being Eevee-related. As they made their way to their usual table, Marry was the first to spot Paige, one of their friends. She was precariously balancing on her chair, her Pokémon Xionin and Arachna in front of her.
Paige's Eevee was an avid fan of dirt for some reason, meaning that Stan was always trying his best to keep Terry as far away from the Normal type as possible. One day disaster would certainly strike and the two of them would cause an absolute mess, but that day would hopefully not be today.
Cautionally positioning himself between Paige and the Poison type, he sat down at the table, beginning to speak:
"Heya, you three! And how are you today? For us it has been quite an..."
The young boy shot his two Pokémon a meaningful glance, which quickly moved back by a bit, looking as if they were apologizing once more.
"...an eventful morning already. Did anything happen to you? You don't look, like you slept well. Not at all to be honest."
"Sleep is for the weak," Paige scoffed as if she didn't want to speak, yet she continued to speak, "One of my so called friends knocked me out with their pokemon and decided to throw a party at my house. They made an absolute mess and the sofa was missing!" in a lower and more grudging voice she mumbled, "They even spray painted all over Arachna..." she crossed her arms and resumed her chair balancing in obvious anger. She didn't mention her mother or what her mother was probably going to do, or even what she was going to do about it. She favored keeping how she handled her life out of the club group, they didn't seem to be the type of people that would hang out with her still if they saw how she really lived her life, which was mostly getting into accidental mischief that looked intentional. Heck, she never allowed them to go to her house, she never allowed anybody from this part of the town near her house, which was pretty far away.
She resumed searching the crowd, spotting their other friends and deciding to leave them be. If they didn't want to come over, they didn't have to.
"How have you been?" she asked in her usually seeming grudging yet polite way.
Ellie had noticed David come in, noticing because it was rather odd due to him usually being early. However she left him be as he fetched water for Mary, heading over to the table their little group usually occupied shortly after Stan arrived and began speaking with a rather tired Paige.
Reena proudly followed Ellie over to the table, a male Eevee wandering out of the way of the starry shadow ball still hovering a pace or so in front of her nose and heading back over to his trainer. The young female Eevee was reluctant to let the shadow ball go, for fear that she would not be able to produce the same effect upon trying again. Celeste on the other hand cheerfully fluttered over to greet Stan, Paige and their Pokemon in turn. Reena nimbly hopped up onto the table, shadowball-silver wind combination still in tow.
"Morning guys!" grinned Ellie, taking a seat at the table. her mood was bright as always, if not brighter because of that morning's successful technique building session. Speaking of which, she gently scratched under Reena's chin.
"You can let go now," she smiled affectionately, "Don't worry. I have every confidence that we can do it again."
The Eevee looked at her trainer hesitantly for a moment, though enjoying the chin-scratching, before she finally let her concentration lapse. As the black of the shadow ball dissipated, the powdery glitter from Celeste's silver wind was now free to puff out into a vast cloud before it gently sunk towards the ground, dissipating before it actually made contact.
"Well...for the three of us not much has happened, except for this thing on my hea-...did you just say your SOFA is missing? That huge piece of furniture one uses to sit on? Holy lord Arceus..."
Just as he was about to continue to speak, a familiar winged Rattata entered his field of vision, followed by Ellie and her Eevee. Happy to see their friends again, Marry could be heard chirping happily, while Terry was flashing his traffic light in a manner to signal excitement.
"Mornin'! So how have you been? Hopefully your day has started better than ours have. By the way, if that was you back there, impressive combination. Although maybe you should pactice outside next time. You could scare another Pokémon or someone could be allergic."
It was typical behaviour of Stan to worry about minor things like that, which, although it had proven to be useful quite often when dealing with his Pokémon, often posed to be an obstacle in the field of social interaction. Luckily his friends haven't felt the need to kick him in the...face for his antics yet, but most of them seemed to be strange enough to have their own problems to mind in that regard.
Finally Stan spotted the last missing friend, David in the crowd. Would he come over, or hadn't he seen them yet? While the trainer was still thinking, Terry was already using his traffic light to shine a bright light on David. If he wouldn't see them now, he'd have to be blind.
Heck, if anyone in the club wouldn't see them now, they'd have to be blind.
If it wouldn't hurt that much, Stan would most surely have hit himself in the face at that point.
The Sun's Stewards Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Sun's Stewards   The Sun's Stewards EmptyFri Dec 20, 2013 7:07 pm
Paige hummed a half hearted "hello" as their next friend sat down. She watched Stan's pokemon shine a bright light on their other friend that usually joined them, but for some reason they didn't respond. She wondered if they had decided that they didn't want to hang out with this rather odd trio at the table. After all, they weren't like the other groups within the eevee club that debated against the others on who was the better eeveelution and who had the most beautiful eevee. They probably looked weird to the other groups.
Xionin yawned in boredom with one ear raised and another lowered, expressing his boredom without a hint of trying to hide it. Next to him, Arachna merely looked around, too nervous to communicate with the other pokemon at the table.
"Yeah, don't know what they wanted with it. I think they might have brought some kind of alcohol or something and dragged it off. I don't know." Paige shrugged and tried to change the subject, "So, what's the topic of interest today other than the other member's annoyances?" Paige leaned back on her chair again, balancing herself and holding her hands behind her head.
The Sun's Stewards Empty
"I'll keep that in mind next time," smiled Ellie as Stan reminded her to practice combinations outside rather than in the room where someone could get hurt. She turned her attention to David though as Stan's traffic cone Pokemon shined it's light upon him. She thought it rather rude that he did not event turn to say hello, but kept these thoughts to herself, preferring not to cause a rift between their little group of friends.
Celeste gently moved over to Arachna and fluttered her wings, attempting to calm the spider pokemon's nervousness with their humming.
"I don't know but losing a sofa seems more interesting than anything else I've heard today," chuckled Ellie.
"Will you quit that already? You're annoying the other people.", Stan scolded Terry as he tapped on the traffic cone the little blob was wearing on its head.
In response the now slightly annoyed tar Pokémon launched a tiny ball of Sludge at the head of its trainer, who found himself incapable of dodging and thus soon drenched in black goop.
"Come on! Was that really necce..ssa...ry? Oohh...my head hurts..."
Wiping off the sludge under the ice pack Stan was using, one would be able to see, that the lump under it had taken on a slightly alarming shade of light purple.
"N-nevermind! So...I don't really have anything to talk about. Do you have any suggestions?"
The Sun's Stewards Empty
While David was feeding (OOC: I can't find the word that means the same thing but with water) Mary, he closed his eyes from fatigue. His eyes where so weak that he couldn't open them back up for a couple of moments. When he finally found his strenght to do the job, he noticed a bright red light coming from the his left. Just as quickly it came, it blinked out. He scanned the room to see what beamed the light at him just in time to see Terry, Stan's Tartar, throw a small bit of himself at his master.
'Weird,' thought David thought to himself, 'when did Stan get here?' David just shrugged this thought off and started to shuffle to the table. He nearly stumbled twice and did succesfully fall onto an open chair at their table. As he stumbled to his chair, he freed Mary from his grasp and dropped his duffle next to the chair. When she landed on the floor, Mary instantly jumped onto the table. Once David got his head up to start talking to his friends, he goes all limp and falls face first on to the table, asleep.
