Bone Shatter Empty
PostSubject: Bone Shatter   Bone Shatter EmptyThu Nov 14, 2013 2:52 am

Howling, hissing, growling, roaring, bellowing, screaming. The noises filled Krik's long brown ears as the pokemon near him pleaded for mercy and longed for escape. Some pokemon attacked anything that came into their cage with hostility roaring in their eyes, but others had been here long enough to know to give up. There was no means of escape that any of the pokemon here thought of yet. All were too busy looking out for themselves to band together against the scientists that tormented them.

The small eevee pinned his ears to his head and placed his paws on them in attempt to seal out the annoying noises. He didn't know whether he liked the testing chamber or this place more! The chamber was a silent area, but painful to the body while tests were run and we was forced to push past his body's physical limit. He was Experiment Kirikaeru, the Shifter, though he preferred to be called Krik. The eevee growled in annoyance as the voices of both young and old yelled at the scientists and at each other.
"I wanna go home!"
"Stop yappin and sleep!"
"What time is it anyways?"
"Please! Let me go!"
"We've got to find a way out of here!"
"Momma?"

The cages were in the form of lanes, two cages were back to back and had cages on top of them and to the side. Each pokemon was surrounded by either other pokemon cages or a wall. The place was brightly lit, but the lights would flicker slightly as the bulbs were due for a change. The place was rather clean thankfully though, even these scientists had some sense of hygiene! The food bowls were scarcely filled, but water was plenty due to the amount of water pokemon that were in the area as well. Though Krik hardly ever touched the water since who knows how the water could be affected by the pokemon that were experimented on...plus the thought of drinking something that came out of another pokemon didn't sit right with him.

It annoyed him. The scientists would walk through the area filled with cages every now and then and occasionally take a pokemon with them. Sometimes they came back, sometimes they didn't. When they did come back though, they always looked a little different. As far as Krik knew he was the only one that still remained normal, somewhat. The eevee was a special one, since through extreme tests he was given the ability to change between his evolutions, at a rather slow and painful rate, when exposed to a specific stone specially created by the scientists.

Krik was a lone little eevee in a lone little cage near a lone little corner. He did not mind though, since not much mattered anyways when you live in the pokemon version of hell. The eevee finally had had enough and stood up, shouting at the other pokemon to cease their bickering and whining so he could get some shut eye! His shout was drowned by the other voices though, and he was nothing but a voice in a sea of many.

An Espurr sat in her own cage. Her blank stare seemed to pierce through the lab and out into space, unaffected by the flickering lights above. The Psychic cat was known as Migna, or just Mig. She was strange. Mig was known to space out a lot and had little control over her abilities. She was tampered with to give her strong telekinetic and illusionary abilities, but she currently had little control over them.

A machine was hooked up to her paws that would jolt awake her when she tried to go to sleep, the shock being more intense than necessary. Falling asleep caused Mig to dream weird dreams, which ended up having her produce illusions in her sleep. She also tended to sleepwalk, but her cage was far too tiny to move around. Her ears were also tied shut; the scientists weren't taking chances with this one.

Mig stayed silent and just stared. She drowned out the other noise. She protested the experiments and wanted to go home, but the tests done on her had left her even more spacey and normally silent. She let her mind wander. The tests had made her a stranger Espurr, but had made her imagination extremely vivid. The restraints put in by the scientists were the only thing keeping her imagination inside.

Mig didn't know how long it had been since she was allowed to sleep, but it was at least a day. She was tired, and as she drifted off into sleep there was a sudden jolt that made her twitch violently in her cage, rattling it. In her new, slightly awkward position, Migna's blank gaze was directed right at a certain Eevee, and the cat showed no signs of shifting it.

Krik growled as the protests and complaints continued despite his asking for silence. He huffed, he wouldn't be able to sleep tonight most likely. He gave up and simply sat in the cage, there was only just enough room to turn and twist in the tiny cage, so he ignored the trouble of attempting to turn around again and instead laid down facing the front of the cage. His gaze met with a strange feline like creature that was hooked up to some sort of machine. He knew nothing of this strange pokemon, but all of the restraints suggested that this was a pokemon of great power. The ears were tied shut and its stare was creeping Krik out beyond wit's end with the facial expression of the creature, though he doubted there would never be a time when it WASN'T so creepy looking.

Krik's ears twitched as the espurr continued to stare at either him or into space, "What are you looking at?" he spoke in the language of pokemon. To normal humans it would just seem like mewing or barking or even just repeating his name over and over again. He was a pokemon, who could not speak the human's language and yet somewhat understand them and their desires to a slight degree. The Eevee awaited a response if any came at all.

Meanwhile, there was a commotion in the testing chamber. The current test subject, a Kirlia deemed Kagami, was not agreeing well to her modifications, which had been added only yesterday. The scientists were being ambitious with this one. They had raided old Team Galactic bases and came out with enough technology and resources to actually replicate Giratina... Or at least parts. They didn't have enough to pull of cloning their own personal Giratina. Instead, the created parts and fused them with one of their subjects. That subject was Kagami, and the process was finished only yesterday to... interesting results.

The Kirlia was still in pain from the whole endeavor, but the most painful part was how the modifications didn't agree; it was if they had taken on a mind of their own, like an offshoot from the true Giratina's personality was controlling them. Her mind was clouded by the sounds of Giratina's screeching disapproval, and some of those hellish cries leaked from her own mouth.

The scientists, in panic, attempted to chain the out-of-control Kirlia to the wall, but as they struggled to do so. The three pairs of ghostly appendages that had sprouted from the three golden rings attached to the Kirlia were flailing and hitting the scientists trying to contain their subjects, knocking them out of the way. In a final act of resistance, the Giratina in Kagami's mind made her bust blindly through the wall, into the place where the caged Pokemon were being stored, and then through another wall. And another... And another... until the Kirlia had succeeded to break through to the outside. It was currently night, and the power was knocked out, covering the lab in darkness. The cages were in disarray and a few had been knocked open, and the scientists who inhabited the lab were shocked and/or stunned. A few tried to maneuver past the cages to reclaim their escaped subject, but usually ended up either tripping or being stopped by an escaped Pokemon.

Migna was about to reply to the Eevee (not that she would make much sense in her extremely tired state) when Kagami burst through the room. The power outage shut off her restraints. Now she could finally get some rest... Mig tried to shake those thoughts out of her mind. She needed to escape.

"Help," she managed to say to the Eevee. Hopefully he'd help, and if he did he could do it fast enough before Mig fell asleep.

PostSubject: Re: Bone Shatter   Bone Shatter EmptySun Dec 01, 2013 2:12 am

The rumbling of the building caused Krik to begin to ignore the strange creature. The pokemon around them were going wild, and the screams of humans, pokemon, and some other strange creature could be heard through the walls. The screams had granted Krik's wish of silence in their hall as the pokemon grew quiet with fear and curiosity. The screaming and yelling grew closer and closer until some strange creature erupted from the wall behind some cages. The cages fell and the pokemon began screaming, howling, and roaring once more. Some pokemon were released from their now broken containers, while some, like Krik, had merely just fallen off the wall. The sea of cages now littered the floor, some still containing pokemon and others empty. Krik was among the sea of cages, stuck within his own.

"Freedom!"

"Where are you?!"

"Who are you!"

"Get off of me and let me out of this cage!"

The voices of the pokemon where a blur to the dazed eevee. The eevee was quickly brought back to his senses by another cage crashing on top of his, the espurr cage. The cage created a huge dent in his, that only dug into his side and just barely avoiding puncturing his soft skin. The eevee gave a slight hiss and tried to understand just what was going on. He looked through the apertures in his container to see different pokemon fleeing through a hole in a wall, the outside-freedom. His eyes widened, for this was a chance of a life time! The scientists had finally gone in over their heads and created something they couldn't contain!

The eevee began to grow vicious, desperate for escape from the pain and the testing that had ruled his life. Krik began to bite at the bars, knowing it was hopeless and he would not be able to escape this cage on his own...unless he used the powers the scientists had granted him. The process was too painful for him, he had never tried it before on his own like this, since he would only be caught directly after and be placed in a even stronger container. This was his chance though, possibly his only! He focused, closing his eyes and ignoring the sounds of the outside world. Ice. Crystals. Glaciers. Snow. The thoughts ran through his mind at a rapid pace, and the pain began.

The pain was nearly unbearable, but it was working! His brown fur was become a light blue color, as his ears grew longer and his tail became flat and wavy. The fur on his brow became thicker and more solid, as he "evolved" into what humans called a Glaceon. The "Glaceon" Krik's eye's opened as the last trace of his eevee appearance vanished and his eyes became blue with white circles for pupils. The Glaceon gave a howl and released an Icy pillar upwards, narrowly missing the espurr, and freezing the bars. Krik headbutted the bars, as they exploded into icy crystals and sent the espurr cage flying slightly and smashing into another cage that smashed that cage's side of the crystals. Krik hadn't meant to Espurr, but had merely helped by accident. He didn't care though, he could see the sunlight not far off.

The outside was calling to him.

The Espurr was jostled around in her cage, similar to many of the other Pokemon that were rushing out in freedom. She was flung around the confines of her cage, but luckily this broke the powered-down restraints. She watched as the Eevee below her transformed into a Glaceon, and at first she thought it was just her tired purple eyes playing tricks on her. But no, it wasn't! The now Glaceon had shot Mig's cage with ice and broke it, sending her cage flying. She was dazed at this sudden development. Freedom! Sleep! No more of this cruel facility! She wondered about - and mentally thanked! - the poor Pokemon that had been made uncontrollable that had granted many Pokemon brighter futures.

Mig crawled out of her cage, carefully maneuvering over the other fallen cages. Her large eyes were focused on the small window of the outside and even more so the full moon ahead. It had been so long since she'd seen it. All that was stopping her from the prize was the other Pokemon and the fact that she had to climb over many ruined walls and cages, a feat that she was just too dreadfully tired to do... But the Espurr knew she had to try.

Mig took her focus away from the beckoning moon to look at the Glaceon-Eevee. Was he okay? "Thank you," she said, yawning. Over the commotion of escaping Pokemon and the scientists frantically trying to stop the masses, those two little words would probably be very hard to hear.

Scurrying over cages and rubble, Mig tried to keep going. She scaled the first wall and jumped down from the hole, but it wore her out even more. She couldn't get up the next one, and passed out right there. A few more escaping Pokemon passed by her, but gave her no heed. They wanted to get out so much they were only thinking for themselves. One or two might have almost trampled the strange lavender cat, and none payed attention to the now sleeping figure...

PostSubject: Re: Bone Shatter   Bone Shatter EmptySun Dec 01, 2013 3:54 am

Screaming, Crying, Roaring, Cheering, Yelling! Chaos was everywhere, Krik could barely think straight let alone hear the espurr's "thank you" Krik had been surprised that the pain hadn't been that much, but just as he thought about it the pain surfaced and caused the Glaceon to conjoin the chorus of chaos. In his blind fit of pain his body knew what it wanted and seemed to act on its own without the mind to control it. Krik's mind was receiving each pain signal each and every muscle sent to him as he moved. He became deaf to all, commands, sense, and sound. He was quick, but every step seemed sluggish. He wanted out faster, away from this place faster. The pain, the reminder of what the scientists had conformed him to be, had only intensified his will to be free.

Krik howled in both pain and triumph as he easily leaped over the first obstacle that was a shattered wall, seeing liberty beckon him closer. His desire to complete the wish was intercepted by a man in a plain coat and glasses, the typical scientist uniform. The man seemed to be trying to calm Krik, as if he were just scared. No! Krik wanted to scream at him, I am not afraid, I am in pain that you have cause me, and I see my chance of freedom so f**k off and move! He resisted the urge to tell the man, since he would only hear yips, barks, and meows.

The man seemed to not want to move and instead drew closer, Krik was cautious, there was no way around the man due to the towering cages that blocked his path, but had not expected the man to suddenly throw out a net. Krik almost dodged the net, instead getting caught around his neck and entangling the espurr as Krik struggled. Krik managed to make his way partially out, shooting a beam of Ice at the man and causing him to leap to the side over dramatically to avoid it. Krik took the chance and began to run, dragging the espurr along with him but not caring. It would be a waste of time to free himself of the burden, and in that time he would probably be caught. The Glaceon's pain still surged through him, pushing him to run, yet pushing him to beg inwardly to fall over and rest in peace.

The Espurr, oblivious to what was going on with Krik and how she was being dragged, was now dreaming vividly. Normally it would take most beings much longer to start dreaming, but Mig was different. The moment she drifted off these dreams would happen... And often they were very weird and twisted. They had been like that ever since she had been tested on, and Mig usually just went along for the ride.

She was in a black void, floating in a limbo. Streaks of twisting and twirling colors floated around, normally in red and purple. She reached a paw to one and it floated away from her grasp.

In the real world, Mig was generating these illusionary bits of color. They were like ghostly vines, wrapping around the room and hanging in the air, but untouchable.

Back in the dream, the streaks had begun to whisper incoherently. They begun to wrap around the dreaming Espurr, and built up around her closed ears.

Opeeeeen... Opeeeeeeeeen....

The eerie whispers were growing clearer to Mig. The illusionary streaks were also wrapping around her ears and they were twitching as if they wanted to open. The nearby scientists noticed, and those who were familiar with Espurr took a good few steps back. They didn't want to be there when they opened; the restraints that were originally on Migna's ears were there for a reason.

And then they opened.

A huge blast of psychic energy was let loose from Mig's two ears. It knocked everything away from the blast and sent the Espurr flying too. It had blasted through the net and disintegrated it, and Mig was currently flying through the air and landed on the other side of the next wall. The next hole led out.

The moment that she had opened her ears, Mig's dream world changed. The whole room became blended swirls of purple and red and in the real world there was a similar haze surrounding the Espurr. The cat could feel her new headache. It was horrible, almost unbearable, but for some reason Mig couldn't wake up.

Krik screamed in fear and rage as he was blasted away from the wall with his unintentional luggage towards it. Krik was knocked against a wall painfully, falling to the ground in pain but awaking to his senses once more. The "glaceon" shook its head and looked towards the strange feline pokemon that released all of this energy and dark matter. He watched the scientist begin to scream and ditch the pokemon they were attempting to recapture, the seriousness of the situation being the only thing keeping him from laughing.

The Glaceon's gaze shifted back to the espurr, who was surrounded by strange powers. He was unsure of what to do though, should he stop it? Let it go on? Leave? Stay? What were the poke gods expecting HIM to do?!
