PMD THE RPG GAME

The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world is a pretty familiar place. Its a world of only Pokemon with a couple of exceptions. Its generally peaceful, but occasionally the legendaries screw up, mystery dungeons start popping up, outlaws go wild, and then all Distortion World breaks loose. Then you have some human being turned into a Pokemon who is helped by some other Pokemon, they team up, become friends, eventually learn their fate, and then they go and try and fix things that Pokemon far stronger than them (that they usually defeat anyway). In the end everything is fixed except the human disappears and everyone cries and cries even if you're manly or have seen it before. After a while you return and then everything is just peachy... Until the post game leaves you in tears again (oh boy!)

There ya go: a simple, to the point, and slightly sarcastic summary of things we already know. TL;DR: just don't bother.

Ahem. I'll still keep up my "lively banter", but let's just get to the gist of it.

This story is a different one than my silly summary, but with many similarities. You may or may not be driven to tears; if you want to bond together and become best fwends forever just to try and make it a tearjerker, that is completely fine.

None of the player characters were once human. They are all normal Pokemon, not counting the fact that fate has picked them to save the world.... From what, I'm not saying just yet. You'll have to stick around.

This is part regular roleplay like most, though it also has some RPG aspects. Since PMD has a lot of character interaction, you guys are free to talk among yourselves IC and do IC stuffs. I'll just be controlling NPCs, events, locations, ect. Standard RPG stuff. Still, using commands is really appreciated. just

It is noon in the town of Roseli and the famous Roseli Cafe is packed. Today, a world-famous group of traveling entertainers is preforming there and almost everyone is gathered there. That doesn't mean that the cafe was under-staffed, though! The local guild had volunteered to help run the place, with some less enthusiastic than others.

The guild members made the cafe a lot different. A Joltik eagerly counted Poke while a Togepi was in the back washing dishes. A Dewott, Gothorita, and Kirlia acted as waitresses along with the usual Riolu and Quilava. In the back were the Guildmaster and Guildmistress who were a pair of twibs made up of a Gardevoir and Gallade. They worked together to cook food and make drinks, and they did so in perfect harmony. The performers hadn't began their show yet, but they were setting up. You could see a Chimecho, a pair of Bellossom, and a Kricketune and Farfetch'd stood on either side of their stage, both with instruments. The final Pokemon - who was often referred to ask the star of the show - was still getting ready and planned to come out when the show started to get the most out of the crowd. A Lotad was designated to collect tips on its head.

Three Pokemon that had no relation to each other had all approached the cafe for their own reasons. They might be here for the show or oblivious to it, but still they came for some reason. Unbeknownst to them, the would eventually have the fate of the world in their claws, paws, and snout, and a coincidence at this very cafe will start their adventure and friendship together...Hopefully...

Quinn yawned as he wandered into the cafe, bored out of his mind and simply searching for something to do. He had been wandering around since dawn, and even before. We was a traveling Sandile, one that was on the search for answers. He wanted to know everything there was to know about the world, after all, his name had meant wisdom, at least his parents had told him that...

Kioshi walked carefully to the Roseli Cafe, making sure not to trip, knowing the fate that would happen if she did. She often picked her way here, to buy her calming tea, which somewhat suppressed her natural instinct which all Whismers had. Sighing with relief of making it safely to the door, she opened it carefully... to suddenly experience the sound of many Pokemon chatting at once. Startled, she stumbled into a Sandile, the impact causing her to wail. The very sound of herself crying scared Kioshi, causing her wail to turn into a deafening screech, which was suprisingly normal for a Whismur like her, however she doubted the Pokemon would enjoy it.

A bored Paras was wandering around town, not knowing, where it should go. As the Roseli Cafe entered his field of vision, Vincent was unable to find a reason not to enter it, so he promptly wandered through the door. As soon as he found himself inside the building, all his senses were immediately assaulted by a variety of impressions. The smell of the food, the dazzling light of the stage and the eardrum-rupturing cries of the Whismur.
While Vincent was used to the first ones, the deafening sounds his poor ears were subjected to were completely unexpected for him and thus, lacking an adequate response, the Grass type was unable to move, not having the slightest idea, what to do.

As you enter the cafe, you can smell the sweet aroma of the berry that is this cafe's and town's namesake: the Roseli berry. The Roseli Cafe's interior was what you'd expect from any other building: made of materials such as wood, stones, and vines harvested from the wild. There were clay pots in the corners and by the door, and each had Roseli Berry plants growing in them.

Pokemon of all shapes and sizes are seated on a halves of logs that were cut horizontally. You can hear their excitement in their various conversations as they waited for the coming performance. The band was on a slightly raised semicircle with vine curtains in the back. Over the chatter the sound of the performers practicing can be heard.

You notice that the only seats open are three in a table of four; the first one was taken by a bored-looking Oshawott who was slumped over. She payed you no heed and instead started gumbling to herself, though what she was saying couldn't be heard over the sound of the rest of the cafe.

Another Pokemon walks in and bumps into you. It is a Whismur who has promptly begun wailing. Her cries make the cafe go almost completely silent, and all eyes are on you two.

As you enter the cafe, the sights and smells are normal to you, but the sounds are loud - too loud. Your loud crying has caused the cafe to go almost completely silent, which may or may not be to your benefit. Now, all eyes are on you...

Standing still was the normal reaction to the cafe goers and your reaction doesn't really draw much attention to you. Still, your location makes you one of the Pokemon to hear the Whismur's ear-splitting cries the loudest.

You think how foolish that idea and that lie would be and wonder where you got it. You quickly push that thought you of your mind.

You wonder if you are going insane with ideas such as these

You are about to attack whatever is creating these ~~copywrited~~ crazy thoughts.

There you go.

Kioshi could barely hear the fact the crowd became almost deathly silent, above her own raising sobs. She felt herself begin to tire out, beginning to hate being born a Whismur, somewhat expecting herself to continue crying until she passed out, and interrupting the Pokemon's party or whatever that was going on. Most of all she hated herself, her condition and whatever triggers she had encountered causing something similar.

Quin stared at the whismur, unsure of just what was wrong. He had bumped into it, or it into him since he could not tell, and now it had begun crying. He had heard of whismur before, was this one just a mere child? Quinn knew that he himself was still young, but he wouldn't consider himself to be a child..."A-are you okay?" he asked the Whismur, bracing himself in case it began to cry out once more all over again.

With the noise becoming unbearable, the insectoid Pokémon finally managed to find partial relief in using his legs to block out a part of the painful soundwaves. As he looked around, he spotted the crying Whismur, wondering, what had made it cry this loudly.
