| "That's a relief, wish we were there now but at least we're making progress..." Kira mumbled. The riolu sighed, she was finally making progress to get home! The riolu flinched when she heard the crack be made in the frozen river through, she couldn't help it. She really wished she had an apple right about now, or a gummi or something, preferably apple. She was about to continue moaning about how she wished she was back someplace warm and bright when she noticed something half buried in the snow. She darted over to it and dug it up, it was treasure! She didn't care if it was something useless, treasure was treasure...at least she was trying to convince herself that. - This dice is not existing.

| "Nice find," grinned Twayblade, wandering over, "Probably not your type of gummi though if I were to hesitate a guess." The Treecko chuckled tucking the iron thorn she had used to break off the piece of ice, back into her pocket, "Anyhow... with the snow layer becoming less and less as we move forward, it looks like it won't take as long to reach Grassveil as I thought. We'll probably even have time to stop and rest along the way and still make it there in good time."

| As Kira picked up the gummi, while eating the Gummi joyously even though it wasn't the gummi for her type, a figure loomed behind her as she turned around to face the Treecko to say something. The figure bellowed and knocked into the Riolu, sending the riolu across the land and over onto the icy river. - This dice is not existing.

| The Riolu picked up the Gummi as Twayblade tucked her thorn back into her pocket. When the Treecko looked back up, she spotted the Teddiursa behind Kira and was about to warn her. However the warning came slightly too late as the Little Bear Pokemon charged into Kira, knocking her straight onto the icy layer that covered the river water. Thinking quickly, Twayblade glanced around for a way to get Kira off the ice before it broke, which it inevitably would as it was so far downstream from the icy forest they had come from. "Stay still, Kira..." she called to her. The Teddiursa was still behind her, and the Treecko needed to deal with it before helping her friend, "And cover your ears!"
Twayblade hoped that Kira realised what she was going to do, the Teddiursa however looked confused by the Treecko's last instruction. The Little Bear Pokemon instead charged towards Twayblade, readying a Scratch attack. Quickly, the Treecko took out her leaf, playing a rushed, but tuneful melody to send the Teddiursa to sleep.

| Kira hadn't realized just quite where she was until the Grass Whistle attack was over. She sighed in relief and tried to stand before her paws slipped and she fell to her hands and knees and a shifting sound was created. The riolu froze, realizing where she was and how much danger she was in. She didn't know what to do, what to say. Should she move or stay? Leap for it or crawl for it? She looked to Twayblade, hoping for help.
The Ice Cracked under the Riolu's weight, but didn't seem to be happening fast. The riolu's fear was making the situation appear far worse than it actually was.

| "Don't move...." blinked Twayblade, in essence repeating what she'd said a short while ago. The Treecko then glanced around, looking for a tree suitably close enough to where Kira had landed on the ice. Spotting one, she skillfully scrambled up it's trunk, selecting a long, but thin and flexible branch. Edging herself across it, she tried to put her full weight on it, forcing it to bend downwards. As she did this, the branch edged closer and closer towards the Riolu on the ice. Twayblade hadn't wanted to step on the ice itself lest it crack and break quicker under both of their weight. | |

| The ice groaned as if it had felt that the weight of the riolu was similar to the weight of the world. The blue jackal remained on all four legs, staring at her reflection on the ice for a moment before looking up and realizing the treecko was coming to save her! Not like those rescue teams had though, they didn't take their dear sweet time and decide whether they should save her, or not even bother to come. Kira did as instructed even though her every instinct screamed at her to bolt and try to make a run for the riverbank-She resisted. | |

| "You okay there?" asked Twayblade, making sure the Riolu was still alright. The ice looked like it'd hold for a while longer, but the Treecko wasn't the one on the ice. It could be a different situation from there. As Twayblade continued to edge along the branch, it bent downwards, the tip beginning to touch the ice. She kept going until there was a long part of the branch on the ice, getting closer and closer to the Riolu. Once it was close enough, he held out a paw to Kira, "You just need to edge yourself closer to this branch," blinked Twayblade, keeping herself calm, "And then grab on to it when you're close enough." | |

| The riolu did as instructed, until the ice gave a final crack as something underneath slammed into it. The ice ruptured and Kira flew into the air before landing in the water. She didn't freeze up in the water like she had the last time though, this time she made a rapid grab for the tree branch and clung to it as the water rushed into the open and back underneath the sheet of ice. Kira had managed to pull herself as far as to the Treecko's feet, before she had to look back and see what had caused her situation to become worse. - This dice is not existing.

| It was a Marill that had rammed itself into the ice, shooting out of the water upon breaking it. The Aqua Mouse Pokemon had then landed back in the water, but something told Twayblade that it'd be back shortly. She didn't want to have to engage it until Kira was safely back on the riverbank. Twayblade helped pull the Riolu fully onto the branch, before helping her move across it, gentle footsteps making sure that the branch did not just fling backward and throw them in who knows what direction. The Treecko did however keep a watchful eye on the water as they moved, not wanting the Marill to startle them and cause them to fall back into the water. | |

| Kira was relieved to be out of the water, and would have kissed the Treecko if she had the chance. The marill blasted a spout of water as her in a water gun, she had already, luckily, put herself in a special stance that allowed her to endure the hit. The riolu glared at the marill, that laughed at them from the safety of the hole it had created, daring the pokemon to come up onto land and face her fairly. It just laughed though, and seemed to be cracking up more than it should. It left itself wide open, for Kira to pick up a rock and lug it at the Aqua Mouse pokemon, hitting it square on the head. | |

| Twayblade stifled a small smirk as the rock send the Marill flying back under the water. Using this time, she clambered back up the tree, the branch getting higher and higher as they left the thin edge of it. As it reached it's peak height, Twayblade nimbly climbed down, putting her paws on dry, solid land once more. "I guess we should just leave it and move on," blinked the Treecko. The Marill still hadn't resurfaced and Twayblade wondered if it was still recovering from the blow to the head. | |

| Kira nodded, still irritated by the marill's actions, "Yeah, let's keep moving. I think we're almost there like you said earlier." The riolu was relieved that they were almost home. She could rest up and finallycontinue her hunt for treasures. She would not be happy until she had at least 2 treasures to put on display in her auction. "Just gotta make it to obsidian crevice..." she mumbled. There she would find the secret slab and golden apple...question is...how would she keep herself from eating it upon sight? | |

| "Obsidian Crevice?" questioned Twayblade. Despite being an intelligent Pokemon, her knowledge of the world outside the Icy Lands was incredibly limited. It was one of the reasons she had always worried about going to Grassveil. After all, she knew the ways of the forest. She knew how to survive here and she knew the lay of the land like the back of her paw. Grassveil... it was a completely new place. As she walked, she wondered what other places were out there to explore. | |

| "Y-Yeah...it's supposed to be a really dangerous place...do you...want to go with me?" Kira suddenly found herself asking. She stopped when she realized that the snow was giving way to grass, and the dead trees were slowly coming back to life. They had reached the point where stream began to thaw and end in a normal stream. Just in sight, was Grassviel. Kira sighed in relief and looked to the treecko, hoping that her new found, what she considered, friend was going to come along. | |
