Hogwarts RP - Train Ride and Sorting

Sean got on the Hogwarts Express through the magic barrier. He found a seat near the end of the train. Sean looked around to find all the seats empty. "All the seats are empty, how am I gonna make any friends?" Sean asked himself. Then he heard the train door open, but only saw a caterer.

The train started to slow down as they got nearer to the station. "We're here." Sean said as he got off of the seat and opened the door. "Ladies first." Sean grinned.

Kierra smiled faintly, and walked out the door. She walked through the door, and waited for the others.

A young with black hair slowly walked towards the front of the train with a small black book in her hands. She had forest green eyes and a dark green shoulder bag. Inside the bag was a blanket wrapped up into a bundle. This was Kathline "Kay" Amylee. Kay came to a stop as she herd voices just a few feet infront of her.

Riza practically leaped off of the train, twirling around on the platform before giggling and wandering over to her friends. Her sister followed her, chuckling at her antics.
"Alrighty then! I can't believe we're nearly there!" grinned Riza, her blonde hair blowing in front of her face. She swept it out of the way so that it was instead flowing down her back, standing out against the black of the Hogwarts school robes.

Sean then heard a voice, one that he heard before (at Diagon Alley, also, this is a character development), and looked to see Hagrid stand there yelling, "Firs' years this way!" Sean ran to him to greet him. "Hagrid!" Sean greeted. "Hello, Sean. All righ'?" "Yes Hagrid, and I would like you to meet Riza, Jo, and Kierra!"

Kierra took a step back. Hagird was HUGE. Well maybe he was tiny compared to a Giant, but he was at least 4 times the size of a normal person. "H-H-hello..." She shrunk back, her robes flapped in front of her. "I'm...Kierra..." she introduced herself nervously.

"Hi there!" grinned Riza and Jo simultaneously.

Hagrid smiled at them and waved cheerfully, "Nice ter meet yeh all. Yeh should all get goin' now though otherwise yeh'll miss the boats."
He beamed down at the four first years before ushering them along.

"Aww... okay Mr. Hagrid..." frowned Riza, "See you around then!!"
"Yeh should all come an' visit me sometime!"
Josephine gave him a wave before he turned to direct more first years in the right direction.

After the boats, all the first years went to the Great Hall for the sorting. When they got in, they got to the front and everyone saw a stool with an old hat on it. "This is the Sorting Hat." Professor McGonagal said. "I am Professor McGonagal. I am Headmistress here at Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat will now sort you into your houses." Sean went up to the Sorting Hat first. "GRYFFINDOR" Said the old hat. Then it kept on going.

About 8 people later, Kierra heard her name being called out. Nervously she walked over to the Sorting Hat, before sitting down, and lightly puting the hat over her head. Several seconds passed, then a minute before "Ravenclaw!" was called out, and she quickly took the hat off, placing it on the stool, then walking over to the blue table. She watched seeing who else would be in her table, and where her new friends would be placed.

It was rather a long time before either of Riza or Jo's names were called out, as their surname was Rosenthal, meaning they were fairly low on the list. Although Riza seemed to be buzzing with excitement, Josephine was actually quite worried. What if she was sorted into Slytherin? She didn't think she would be particularly comfortable in that house....

"Josephine Rosenthal!"
Her name was called and she stepped over to the stool. She sat down, the hat was placed on her head. After a few moments of deliberation and mutterings from the sorting hat, it loudly cried';
"RAVENCLAW!"
Grinning, Jo made her way over to the table decorated with blue. She spotted an empty seat next to Kierra and grinned, quickly taking it for herself. She was greeted with congratulations from the other Ravenclaw students.


"Theresa Rosenthal!"
Grinning widely, Riza hop-skipped over to the stool. She sat down and the sorting hat was placed on her head. She sat and listened to it as it muttered about her cheerful and friendly personality. It spoke of how she could benefit from being sorted into Ravenclaw, because she was intelligent, though it felt she would be better in;
"HUFFLEPUFF!"

The hat was taken from Riza's head and she skipped over to the table decorated with yellow. They all clapped and congratulated her as she took a seat. Riza already liked these people, and she didn't know any of their names yet.

Kay was silent through most of the sorting. She was just watching as the students got sorted into their houses. When her name was finally called she walked up to the stool and sat down. The Sorting Hat muttered for a few moments and finally shouted "Slytherin!" an applause erupted from the far right while Kay walked over to her new house.

Alexandra Reybould was near the back of the group. Her name was called after nearly a dozen more people following Kathline. She snapped to attention when her name was called out loudly.

"Alexandra Reybould!"

Alex took in a deep breath and happily walked up to the stool where the Sorting Hat sat. She beamed at it happily before plopping herself down, feeling the weight of it on her head a few moments later. It muttered in her head before quickly and definitively announcing;

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Alex just barely resisted the urge to leap up and do a happy dance, her common sense kicking in at the last second. Instead she simply let out a delighted squeal and dashed over to the table decorated in yellow, the banners hanging above it adorned with a badger. She sat down next to the girl whose name she vaguely remembered hearing earlier. Theresa was it?
"Hello!" She happily greeted the girl. Rather than holding out a hand, Alex took that moment to embrace her fellow Housemate. "I'm Alex! Well you probably just heard that seeing as I just got sorted, ehhehh..." She laughed a bit awkwardly as she pulled away, eyeing the food piled high on the table and fighting to urge to make grabby hands at it.

Riza laughed and hugged Alex back. She was glad that everyone in Hufflepuff was so friendly. She felt like she could get along with absolutely everyone here.
"Pleased to meet you!" she grinned, "I'm Theresa... though I prefer Riza or Risa because it's shorter."

After Alex pulled away Riza clapped her hands together and stared at the food. It just looked so good. Soon enough the sorting was over and they were all allowed to dig into the glorious plates of food before them.
Riza wasted no time, piling her plate high with a variety of delicious food. It seemed despite her shorter height and generally small stature, she could gobble down huge platefuls of food without much repercussion.

"Riza it is then!" Alex proclaimed brightly. Once the sorting was over, she let out a squeal and piled her plate high. "I looove foood~" She moaned, happily biting down on a chicken leg. By the looks of things, Riza shared this sentiment. In fact, most of Hufflepuff seemed to share this. Alex laughed quietly at that observation before returning to her food.

After quite some time of bright conversation and laughter, a speech was told by the headmaster and dessert was revealed. This was what Alex had been anxiously waiting for.

"SWEETS!" She squealed for the umpteenth time, filling her plate with all sorts of toothache inducing foods. First was three pieces of cake; carrot cake, red velvet cake, and chocolate cake. On top of that was two pieces of pie; pumpkin pie and apple pie. Atop that was a vast collection of cookies ranging from sugar to oatmeal raisin to chocolate chip. On the very top sat four cupcakes; vanilla, chocolate, red velvet once more, and chocolate with a cream center. Oh and of course on the side was three choices of ice-cream.

Needless to say, Alex's first day at Hogwarts was heaven.

Sean looked at all of the wonderful food. "So much to chose from!" He said. "Where to start?!" He grabbed almost everything there was to eat. He was starving, and he always at a lot. His high metabolism let him eat and eat, and gain little weight.

Professor McGonagall was clapping her hands loudly to get everyone's attention. "As you all know, except the first years, the world famous Harry Potter, the savior from You-Know-Who, and his friends will be helping us along this year for a while." She said. "And now, it is time to go to your Common Rooms!" Sean followed the Gryffindors to his Gryffindor Tower. The password was "Bravery" this year.
