» Personality: Graham is a smooth talker. He loves to work and LOVES to talk with others. The Chespin likes to show off what he can do, often relishing in the little victories.
Most of all, however, Graham loves to learn. He's an extremely inquisitive Pokemon, looking to absorb as much information as he can. That being said, that doesn't mean he's necessarily bright. Graham's a bit naive, and is a slow learner. However, he works as hard as he can.
» Likes: Graham above all else loves honest and hard workers. On the farm, he was instilled with the belief that hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. Specifically, those who are willing to admit when they have weaknesses. Graham loves talking with those who are able to open themselves up, particularly after his early years. Finally, He LOVES inventions. This in particular comes to devices such as carts and gates. As simple as these devices are, it's Graham's dream to help create an invention that can push farming to the next level without having to rely on Pokemon abilities alone.
» Dislikes: First, he dislikes liars. As stated earlier, his parents instilled in him the belief of an honest and hard worker. Second, The Chespin dislikes the cold. Working on a farm all day, Graham has gotten used to the warm sun. Finally, and most of all, he DESPISES those who have natural talent but refuse to better themselves. To him, he finds that completely and utterly wasteful.
» History: Just off the edge of Grassveil Town lied a small family of Chesnaughts. There, two farmers led their lives happily: Abel and Rosie. Together, the two made a berry farm, and happily lived their life in solitude with their three boys: Alex, Walt, and their youngest, Graham.
Graham in particular was quite unique. The boy worked hard, working from day to night with his family on the farm, as well as getting stronger with his brothers. However, unlike his brothers, strength didn't seem to be his priority. Instead, he was a thinker, often talking with his mom about anything that came on his mind. In particular, he seemed to get rather close to a nearby traveling Delibird, fascinated with the creature's cart. The craftsmanship of the device fascinated the Chespin, and the young Graham wanted to know how he could create more of them.
The Delibird informed the young Chespin of a place known as Peak Academy. According to the bird, it was a place to learn not only about devices such as those, but other useful skills, as well, such as battling. This fascinated the young grass type, who told his parents about the school nonstop. In fact, the bird appeared to grow rather close to the boy. He even gave him a hat as a token of their friendship.
The father, however, seemed less than enthusiastic. It wasn't the fact that Graham wanted to leave the farm that was the issue. It was that Delibird. Something seemed... OFF about him. ESPECIALLY how he looked at Rosie on his visits...
One day, it all came to a head during a training session. The boys were training together, this time, learning how to use their egg moves. Alex and Walt were both able to use Belly Drum with ease. Graham, however, was unable to use it whatsoever. It seemed extremely strange at first...
...until the young boy used Spikes instead.
Suddenly, it all made sense. The arrival of the bird, the way he looked at Rosie... this wasn't just some traveling salesman! This was Graham's biological father! Hurt and betrayed, Abel pulled Rosie aside, now completely furious! In a messy affair, Rosie was banished from the farm, never to return. The Delibird would soon follow, now fearful for his own life.
From that point forward, Graham was looked at with disdain from his family. The poor boy received nothing but vitriol from his brothers, now seeing him as nothing more than a bastard. Abel, meanwhile, wanted no more reminders of the child.
As such, one day, Abel kicked Graham out, sending him towards the direction of the academy. Now determined to prove his worth to both his family and himself, Graham seeks to be a part of the academy, looking to find a purpose in life.
» Other: Graham wears a cowboy hat. It was given to him by his biological father, Alvis, and has holes on the top to fit his spikes.
