| [Energy: 22 - 20 = 2]
It was nice to visit a pleasant-looking dungeon for a change. Too nice. It felt like all the dungeons Leander had been in lately had been plagued by either soggy, marshy terrain or stupidly thick mist. And if they hadn't, he had been attacked by something terrifying while he had been there. That was what he was expecting to happen any moment now - the Vale was just too pretty and tolerable to plausibly be safe. Either that, or they had missed the dungeon and gone somewhere else somehow. A dungeon wasn't meant to be nice... right? Especially not if some powerful beast of a pokémon lived in it.
"You think this is the place?" he asked Vesper, the Roselia he had managed to get to come with him. So far, it seemed that Alki had been right when she had told him the other Phantoms were nice. It made him glad to have been able to join them. He probably would have had to post a bulletin board mission or something at the guild to get help if it had not been this easy to get someone to come along, and he was glad to be able to avoid that extra hassle. Getting to know a fellow Phantom was also a nice boon. Perhaps even more so than skipping the mission-making.
He would not have have had to travel this far out at all if the legendaries could just have stayed at peace, though. Did everyone who gained that much power also gain indisputable convictions and a foolhardy love for war? Legendaries were a tad too fond of large-scale violence and involving random pokémon for Leander's liking. Just talking it out and arriving at a compromise would have been a better solution in his opinion. Not that he was entirely sure they were capable of such a thing with all their self-importance and need to be grandiose. So his best bet at the moment would be to be to aid Zygarde; that way, the world would not undergo any of the extreme changes the other legendaries proposed that it should. It'd be like the war had not happened at all.

| Vesper: 22 - 20 for entry = 2
Vesper hummed lightly, as she took in her surroundings, a spring in her step as she kept pace with the Seedot she accompanied. Leander was someone she hadn't had much time to interact with since she'd joined the Phantom Thieves, so when he'd been asking around for anyone to go with him to Everspring Vale to try and support the goals of some legendary pokemon, she'd readily agreed. It was good to get to know her fellow thieves, and the Vale had seemed like an exciting place to visit. It was basically a two for one deal!
"Yea it looks about right, based on what Alki told me about this place," Vesper grinned in reply to Leander's question, easily recalling what the Jigglypuff had told her about the trip she'd taken here with Synd'r. "In fact im not sure words did it justice! I could probably live here if I wanted to!" The Roselia twirled around in excitement as she eyed the foliage around her. The mild temperatures, conifers and lush rolling hills put together really did make the Vale seem almost like some sort of paradise. And they'd only scratched the surface of the location so far!
In the distance Vesper could even see a large column of water extending into the sky. "Oh! That must be a geyser!" She cried excitedly, hopping to attention and shading her eyes with one arm, squinting as she tried and get a better look at the distant phenomenon.
Honestly at first glance, Everspring Vale definitely seemed to live up to the tales spun about it! The only potential downside to this trip was that Vesper was potentially getting involved with something bigger than she'd really intended to.
So far, Vesper had only heard tales of all this prophecy malarky. Although word had spread through Grassveil pretty fast when the supposed movements of legendary individuals were being cast into the spotlight, Vesper had been pretty skeptical at first. Why involve the world in something that was clearly a dispute between these powerful beings? And the only proof was some overcast clouds? To be honest, she probably would have remained at least a little skeptical had she not found out that Synd'r was one of the individuals who had been bestowed with a vision of a potential future. The Vulpix was pretty no-nonsense and relatively low-key, so Vesper couldn't imagine her making up something this big just for the hell of it.
That said, she wasn't particularly into the idea of changing the world and quite frankly Synd'r didn't seem to be either, so Leander's attempts to support Zygarde in this supposed war were something she could agree with. Sure, chaos sounded great and all but if you're allowed to do everything then where's the fun in that!

| Rather than skip along happily like his companion, Leander treaded the ground with caution, looking at the same vegetation Vesper had eyed with excitement through eyes narrowed in doubt. Perhaps something was hiding behind those pines? Catching himself glaring at them, he forced himself to inhale, exhale and try to relax. Even if something were to happen he was not alone, he told himself. Vesper had come with him to help, and he shouldn't bring the mood down by being so paranoid. She seemed to really be at ease as she spoke of the Vale, even saying she could live there. Maybe it'd rub off on him if he just stuck around for long enough.
"Kaka... People would start to think you'd gone feral if you lived in some dungeon, y'know?" Or they'd assume it was out of necessity. That she had a bounty too high to catch respite in civilization or something. Which could happen to a thief if they stole enough, he supposed. The conversation was soon cut short by a distant hiss. The Seedot instantly assumed a defensive stance, until he heard Vesper's thrilled cry.
"A geyser? What's a..." He looked in the same direction as her, quickly spotting the water column. "Oh. I've never seen something like that. How cool! Do they just come out of th-" His sentence was both interrupted and answered by a second, closer geyser spouting into the sky, causing a surprised jolt to run through him. "Guess they do," he concluded, laughing a little at his own reaction. Hopefully, his skepticism was unnecessary. This place really would be wonderful if it was safe, even if some big, scary legendary lurked somewhere. Well, hopefully it wasn't that big nor scary, as his main plan to win this thing over was through reasoning with it. And he'd likely be worse at talking if it looked particularly intimidating. The worst case scenario, however, would be a truly violent or malicious legendary that'd try to hurt them, but he tried not to worry too hard about that happening. The fact that he was in a dungeon already had him uneasy enough, and he'd surely find some way to bail them out of this if things went south.

| "Hehe. If they assumed I was feral perhaps it'd be more of a challenge to try and steal from them." Vesper snickered lightly behind one of her roses. Thieving was fun, but challenge thieving? Now that was a concept!
Vesper turned back to Leander as he began to ask a question, but he was cut off by the hiss and crash of a second geyser powering upwards. She turned her attention back to the column of water, "They're amazing! I've never seen anything like it! Alki said they're warm too. I guess the mist coming off them is more like steam, then?"
Her curiosity getting the better of her, Vesper skipped towards the sprouting geysers, even as they retreated back into the ground. She had already forgotten what they'd come here for, enamoured by the location's unique sights.

| "They're warm, too? Huh. Must have come from pretty far down, then." Leander stared at the vertical cloud of vapour as it flattened and spread out like a white, airy blanket, covering the rocky fissure from whence it had come and then some. Water did evaporate when heated and he knew that, so he had no issue believing what Vesper claimed. Just how hot this geyser was what really interested him, though. It was boiling hot far under the ground where the magma and stuff was, right? He guessed that might have been what had heated the water, but would it be close to that in terms of temperature once it came out? He wondered if he should be careful about getting too close, that pondering showing itself outward as a doubting squint directed at the fissure.
His yellow pupils flicked down at the ground beneath him. The mighty force of the haze-clad spout, as well as its unique and unusual nature, had also made the Seedot wonder if the legendary he was looking for was connected to the geysers. Maybe it was a fire-type with magma powers, that could heat up the water underneath the entire dungeon? He didn't see how that would make the water erupt from the ground like that, though, so... Maybe it was a water-type, then? If the water was already warm from being far underground, it could just control it to make it burst out, and then you'd have something like a geyser, he supposed. Perhaps they could use the phenomenon in some way to help locate this mysterious pokémon.
Just as he turned to where Vesper had stood and was about to ask if she knew any more about the subject, he noticed that she was well on her way to the geyser, having bounded off while he had been deep in thought. "Hey, be careful!! What if it hits you?" he called out before kicking off and tailing the other grass-type, part worried about her getting burned and part scared of standing by himself in the unfamiliar dungeon.
