Kestro rummaged through the bag in front of him, checking for the small amount of supplies his caretaker prepared for him. "Mmm, this should be enough," the young male said as he pulled his head out of the bag. "Are you sure? I can run back home and get more," a slightly smaller female Cranidos asked. Kestro chuckled, reaching over and patting the female lightly, "If you do that, it'll get too heavy to carry, Sis. Besides, it's just Pecha Forest. Everybody kept talking about how this dungeon is pretty safe for new explorers and young Pokemon to train."

The Lurantis with the moved closer, patting both rock types' head. "And if need be, Kestro has the Escape orb to get out in a pinch. Now let's see him off and get home. We'll have to cook up some dinner for our little explorer once he gets back to us. Both Cranidos pressed up into the grass type's petals, happily nuzzling into her claws before Kestro pulled back. "Alright, I'm off, I'll see you tonight!" he called off before slinging the bag over his back and trotting into the bright forest. His sister and caretaker waved at him as he disappeared into the woods before turning away, beginning their walk back to Grassveil.

Pêcha Forest was starting to seem like a second home to Radar, who was currently perched atop a ...that is, when he was stealing. It was a long story...

That same Pikachu he always saw stealing in Grassveil was the culprit, a bad influence if you will. He wasn’t easy to miss, What with the purple crystals he had in his fur jutting out from his back, the blue markings all over his body and the teal tips of the ears...Radar was actually quite jealous of how he looked. Then the Pikachu had a friend. He saw the Pikachu just leaning against a wall, doing absolutely nothing, and decided to get closer when another Pikachu came running out of a building, looking like a regular Pikachu. They were running from some other Pokémon, a Golduck—possibly a shopkeeper—when they stopped near this other, cooler looking Pikachu and said Pikachu—the one Radar saw stealing often—tackled the store owner with electricity coming out of him. The two ran past Radar and the Golduck yelled “Stop! Thief!” Pointing in the direction of the two Pikachu. Then, a Luxray wearing a police badge started running towards Radar. Instinctively, he started flying away, which probably wasn’t the smartest idea. He remembered Pêcha Forest, knowing he could use it to lose the Electric Type chasing him, and here he was in Pêcha Forest!

5 days ago, that is...

The thrill and the rush of avoiding that sparked something inside of him, he enjoyed that rush. So, if he could get that adrenaline rush and get stuff from it also...why not? He started stealing, only stealing bags from 3 separate Pokémon, looting said bags and dumping them in the forest. Sure, his fluffy feathers might be a little bit of a giveaway, but no one would notice when they’re too upset about their bags being taken. Radar was a fast flier, too, so he wasn’t having any issues losing his chasers. Good workout, too. Right now, Radar was sorting through belongings that didn’t belong to him, purely searching for Poké. Imagine the look on Yigo's face when he gave him all the...390 Poké he found...you’d think a Persian might have a little extra walking around Poké, right? Now, obviously Yigo didn’t know the Murkrow was doing this, if he did he’d hate him. But the two of them needed the Poké. So Radar would keep stealing. And so he chucked the empty bag on the ground, taking out some weird cube that said something something emporium. Neat. Poké and a weird cube, worst case scenario he can chuck it at the next Pokémon who tries to chase him.

Of course, he wasn’t aware of what could be below the tree he was in, not noticing if anyone was underneath him as he dropped the bag and some useless contents on the floor.

Kestro casually jogged through the bright forest, weaving to and fro through the trees as he began exploring the woods. Each step brought his claws down onto the leaf litter harder, starting to kick up a flurry of dirt and vegetation as the Pokemon gained speed. The young male grinned to himself as he lowered his head, prepared to ram into a particularly thick tree he spotted. Just as his skull began to take on a metallic sheen, a soft thud and the sudden weight of something on his head caught the Cranidos off guard. His head crashed into the ground digging a short trench before he flipped onto his bag. The rock type continued to skid through the leaves on the ground, scrambling as he turned onto his side and attempted to right himself.

Eventually his claws found surface, and the fossil pokemon quickly sprung to his feet. He looked around, front lowered as he prepared himself to fight. Instead he found a bag in front of him, with various items scattered around it. Kestro blinked, making a quick check to ensure that his bag was still securely on his back. Yep, and it thankfully hadn't spilled out any of his own items. The Cranidos then stepped towards the bag on the ground, sniffing at it curiously. Where did it come from?

Radar heard something underneath him, some kind of noise on the ground. He looked down, seeing a Cranidos on the ground laying on his side. Could he have seen the bag fall? The Cranidos quickly got to his feet, looking around. He saw the bag. Radar felt a cold, unpleasant shiver run up his spine as his eyes rested on the Rock Type beneath him, making the bird shudder rather involuntarily. He started rubbing his wings together, knowing that that might make it harder to fly but not really being able to stop. What if he looks up? What then, Radar? The Cranidos then started sniffing at the bag and all around it, which got Radar thinking... If Yigo could smell something or someone from a really long ways away...can this Cranidos smell me? Panic started to set in, Radar looking for any way out now. What if this Cranidos came from Grassveil Town? If he sees me, and reports... Radar stopped himself, not even wanting to finish that thought.

He had to fly away from the tree. Eventually, that Cranidos was going to look up, see Radar, and it was all over. He had to fly away. Still a little panicky, he started to straighten out the feathers on his wings as fast as he could, preparing to make a break for the opposite direction, hoping to lose the Pokémon below him. Would the Cranidos even notice if I flew away before I was too far away to chase? His feathers were...straight-ish, but they’d have to do. Radar stood up, wings outstretched and ready to fly, looking away from where the Cranidos was standing, taking a deep breath and being ready to fly

Soon enough Kestro did look up, finding the Murkrow about to take off. He tilted his head, it being somewhat difficult for the rock type to see anything but the backside of the flying type. "Oi, wait, you dropped something!" the rock type called out. Too him that made complete sense. Surely the Murkrow owned the bag that fell on him. Why he was about to fly away without it was odd. Was the Murkrow abandoning the bag for some reason? Kestro didn't notice any damage to the bag, even after he rammed into it. Maybe the flying type was afraid of Kestro himself? The Cranidos did hear that some Pokemon held a deep fear or nervousness when faced with a Pokemon known for predation or simply having a type advantage. What was predation again? The rock type couldn't really remember. In any case, the rock type began to busy himself by picking up the items that fell out of the bag and placing them back inside to help the Murkrow out.

Radar was about to take off, starting to take flight until...

“Oi, wait, you dropped something!”

At this point, Radar was already mid-flight, in the air flying away. Hearing what was sure to have been the Cranidos' voice made him look back, fear and hesitation taking over and affecting his flight, the bird slightly and unknowingly diving down closer to the ground. The Cranidos was...helping? He was picking up the items Radar had so carelessly discarded, placing them in the bag...was the fossil Pokémon taking it? He was just a kid like Radar and sounded like he wanted to help, but Radar didn’t know for sure...one thing he did know was that the Cranidos could have it if he wanted it, Radar didn’t need it. Radar had just now noticed he was barely above the ground, flying fast...

Straight into a tree...

The Cranidos continued gathering up the items, not noticing the Murkrow's odd flight. That is until he lifted his head up, the bag in his mouth to see the dark type smack into the tree. The rock type winced sympathetically as he watched. Was the Murkrow bad at flying or was it just too distracted? Kestro didn't really know which would be worse. He set the bag down, "You ok?" he asked with his mouth now free. The rock type stepped towards the flying type, though waited to actually see if the Murkrow needed help.

At least he wasn’t forced into the tree, he hit it of his own volition. Still, it hurt. Just because he wasn’t Aerial Ace'd into the tree didn’t mean it hurt any less...or that it was any less embarrassing, if not more so. The Murkrow fell the short 1 foot gap to the ground after impact, head hurting. A tree... Radar thought, why did it have to be a tree? After all, those trees hurt. A lot. More so then one might think. The bird let out a groan as he rolled onto his back, too dazed to fly away, hearing the Cranidos' concern. “You okay?” The Fossil Pokémon had asked, Radar—too disoriented to fly away—only responding by cringing at the realization the Cranidos was now closer to him, the Dark-Flying Type being caught red winged in stealing. “I’m...I-I'm fine...” Radar uttered from his beak, attempting to stand on his own two talons like a big Pokémon...and was failing at that miserably, stumbling about and having to use the tree for balance, helplessly blinking at the world for spinning around as an attempt to urge it to stop.

The bird's head hurt like hell, a headache starting to form. Did he hit his head on the tree...? Honestly, Radar didn’t know, he looked forward and saw the tree and...ground. Radar placed a wing to his head—which felt like it was throbbing in pain—as the child used the other to lean against the tree. Looking at the Rock Type, everything seemed a little blurry...more so than a little...Radar was starting to have a hard time making out anything other than the Cranidos' outline, like his body, tail, head...everything else was getting harder to tell what was what. “Are-y-you always th-this blurry...?” Radar asked, squinting to try to see the Cranidos. Was this Cranidos doing this on purpose?

(WOOOOO! CONCUSSION TIME!! Cause needless drama =P)

The Cranidos frowned at the bird's inability to stand up right or to right his vision. The Murkrow was clearly not fine, despite his saying so. "Are you sure?" he asked again. Soon enough the rock type was trying to move himself under one of the Murkrow's wings to help steady it. Kestro wondered if he could leave the Murkrow for a moment and find his caretaker again. She'd probably know something to do. She'd at least be better equipped for healing someone than the Cranidos was.

At the Murkrow's second question, Kestro raised a brow in confusion. Blurry? What was that supposed to mean?  "Um, no. I think you need to lie down a bit. You hit that tree pretty hard." It was then that the "tree" the Murkrow had hit turned around. "I am no tree! I am the master of disguise! A Sudowoodo!" it said, before suddenly freezing in place. "Uh... I mean, yes I am a tree! Carry on!" it added, looking away from the pair of smaller Pokemon, keeping itself frozen in place in a poor attempt in acting like it never spoke in the first place.

Energy = 20 - 5 (Entry) = 15 - 6 (Rolls) = 9

"Are you sure?" No...

Radar felt incredibly tired, it was exhausting standing up. Radar started putting more of his weight on the tree, not protesting the Cranidos positioning itself under his wing. "I think you need to lie down a bit. You hit that tree pretty hard." Radar was fine, he's endured worse than a headache. Just watch. He could still walk, he could still fly, he had to still be able to...he just needed a minute. Radar tried to step forwards—something that was proving to be a very difficult task—before his talon gave out and buckled under his weight...thankfully, the Cranidos was still there for Radar to support himself. This doesn't...mean I can't walk...

All of a sudden, the tree Radar flew into talked. "I am no tree! I am the master of disguise! A Sudowoodo!" Needless to say, this startled the bird. Radar stepped away from the tree, having a bit of trouble figuring out what it meant. Sudowoodo were trees planted in the ground that gained sentience...? The only real snag in stepping away from the Sudowoodo—and the helpful Cranidos—was that his legs and talons gave way, Radar stumbling onto his tailfeathers, moving back a little more just to be safe. "Uh... I mean, yes I am a tree! Carry on!" Radar tried to get up, but couldn't. His talons wouldn't even try to support his weight, Radar barely getting them on the ground before they slid out, the bird sliding down onto his side. Radar tried to use his wings to stand...no luck. They were placed on the ground, Radar not having the strength to push himself up.

There's nothing wrong with resting just a bit, right...? He'll be fine later...

Raucously Squawking Empty
PostSubject: Re: Raucously Squawking   Raucously Squawking EmptyMon Feb 25, 2019 10:21 pm

Kestro blinked as the Murkrow stepped back before slumping onto his side. The Cranidos trotted to the flying type, nudging at him lightly as he laid there. The Rock type couldn't feel the Murkrow put any effort into lifting himself up. At the very least any effort he did put in quickly dissipated. Kestro sighed out. What was he to do? He couldn't leave the Murkrow here. Even with the Sudowoodo right there, it's not like the other rock type would help. In fact, Kestro wasn't even sure if the Sudowoodo was trustworthy. If Kestro left the Murkrow with the other rock type, who's to say the Sudowoodo wouldn't rob the dark type blind and leave him to the perils of the forest?

Kestro looked over at the motionless rock type, his beak clicking several times before he made up his mind. He'd just have to wait. It'd mean giving up on the training he wanted to do, but the Murkrow's safety was more important. The Rock type let out a humph as he lowered himself to the ground, tucking his small arms under his body as he watched the flying and rock types. And he sat there, toying with ideas in his head as he waited. And he waited. After an hour or so, the Cranidos pushed himself up off the ground, beginning to explore the immediate area. There wasn't much, a few odd looking berries the Cranidos wasn't familiar with. He placed them in his bag anyways. Perhaps his caretaker could use them in a recipe.

The Rock type also began to gather firewood, deciding he'd rather be comfortable in the warmth of a campfire while waiting for the Murkrow to come to. Kestro cleared a small area of leaf litter near the Murkrow, working off of the lessons his caretaker gave him on basic survival skills to keep from starting a large forest fire. He found small stones and packed the earth up around the edge of where he would start the fire, and then placed the firewood along with some dried leaf litter into a cone in the center. It was then that Kestro realized something. He didn't have anything to actually light the fire with...

The Cranidos was sure he heard a snicker come from the direction of the Sudowoodo. "Shut it," the rock type snapped, his beak making a loud clack. With a huff, Kestro laid back down, annoyed with himself and the situation.

Radar rarely passed out...in fact, this was the first time in recent memory. Maybe he might've before from the abuse of...No...safe...It was hard to think, complicated. The insomniac had never felt so peaceful, was this what sleep felt like? Maybe he could hit his head every night? That way he'd sleep just like Yigo! There was nothing. Nothing was happening, no stress, no worries, no thought, nothing. Radar grew completely motionless, eyes closed, oblivious to anything around him. He barely moved an inch over the hour that passed, some might even think he was dead. The perfect opportunity for a pair of Pokemon to scavenge.

A Zigzagoon crept closer to the makeshift campsite the Cranidos had made, scavenging for any items and berries that either of the two Pokemon may have, the main focus being any berries or food. Those townpokemon always had good food on them...and little did the Cranidos know, he would soon be outnumbered two-to-one if he tried to attack. "Shut it!" The Cranidos clacked, the Zigzagoon tilting its head slightly before it silently crept over to the Murkrow, using the anger as a distraction to put its mouth around the birds bag, fully expecting to run...the grip never loosening.

Kestro's momentary anger at the Sudowoodo quickly passed as he turned his attention back to the passed out Murkrow. "Oi!" the Rock type cried out, hopping to his feet as soon as he spied the normal type attempting to steal what he still thought was the Murkrow's bag. Claws dug into the ground as the Cranidos vaulted towards the Zigzagoon. Mid-jump, though, a second Zigzagoon slammed straight into the rock type's side. It didn't do much. Kestro was just about twice as large as the Zigzagoon, so the impact only caused the rock type to land short of his target. The second Zigzagoon stuck to him though, biting at the rock type's tail in an attempt to slow him down.

Kestro growled out, beginning to swing his tail back and forth, dragging the normal type across the leaf litter on the ground to toss him off. All the while he tried to keep moving forward to stop the first Zigzagoon.

The Zigzagoon kicked up dirt and dust into the Cranidos' face—hoping to disorient it—stepping back, growling somewhat cutely. It was a Sand Attack followed by a Growl! It took the bag with them, still gripping it, making sure to keep their distance, tail slowly swishing back and forth. Radar, through all of this, was just starting to wake up, head still feeling sore...and there being a slight ring in his ears before it faded enough for Radar to hear, the Dark-Flying Type struggling to lift his eyes up at all. He was having trouble figuring out what was happening, his eyes not really focusing all that well. He tried to get up...no luck. The bird was too tired to stand, laying on his side, trying to watch the fight yet struggling to do so to the best of his ability.

Kestro let out a frustrated cry as his vision was obscured and his ears ringing from the growl. Still the second Zigzagoon held onto his tail, refusing to let go as Kestro thrashed about. Eventually the saurian Pokemon curled his body, swinging his mouth and tail towards each other, dragging the normal type along. His beak wrapped around the Zigzagoon, disappearing underneath the brown fur of the Pokemon before clamping down on its mid section. With a yelp the normal type freed Kestro's tail, and the rock type quickly turned the tables on it.

His vision was still stinging and blurred, but he didn't need his sight with the normal type trapped between his jaws. Kestro began to swing his head up and down, slamming the Zigzagoon into the ground repeatedly. Like a wild beast he swung the smaller Pokemon back and forth until finally tossing it aside. Kestro wasn't done it it yet, though. He simply needed the room to charge towards it, his head taking on a silvery sheen as he prepared to smash the normal type with his Iron Head.
