Hello everyone this is just a bit of an update to let you know that the rules page has been updated. The main rules section has been updated with the following changes:
- A notice for new users that it’s common for first applications to be rejected
- Fixed links that lacked the actual link
- Notice for new users that outlaws are discouraged as first characters
- Added Melanistic and Albino pokemon to the appearance options. Also clarified what will need to happen if you wanted something like a shiny pokeball pattern vivillion
- Added that noteworthy locations such as named cities and continents are no longer permitted in character histories
- Updated moveset listing to US/UM
- Added that it’s possible to change your ability later on
- Added a notice that if someone has difficulty with their records, they may contact a record checker, moderator, or admin for help
- Added clarification on dungeon environments and NPC usage
- Added the ability to create 'social' dungeon threads where you can spawn NPCs as you like without the need to roll them in the dungeon, however, you cannot roll dice in these threads
More importantly there's been a shift in how Leveling Up works.
There is now a secondary condition that will allow you to level up. This condition is simple: 15 posts. When you complete a thread and have posts leftover that don't make a page, your personal posts can be added to this count. Achieving 15 of them will grant you a level.
This means if you reach 9 posts in a thread and your partner disappears, you will still receive credit for your work. Go back to the thread and count the posts in the very last page. If this page did not achieve the full 15, then count every post that was your's and add it to your post count for that character. The only posts that count for this are posts that do NOT contribute to a full page.
Characters with Joy Ribbons have a post count of 9 they need to achieve while the Cursed Blessing only needs 6.
Every member is permitted to go back in their threads and update your records if they wish, but it is not mandatory seeing as you are the one that will be missing out on potential extra levels. Abuse of this condition(creating a bunch of one-post threads others are not meant to reply to) will be confronted and dealt with if encountered.
Thank you for your time, there is certain to be more updates to the rules in the future as I work to catch everything up. If you notice anything missing please alert me immediately and I will set it up on our to-do list for fixing. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!
