| First topic message reminder :- not ooc. It's just alot of first post stuff... It helps me think... If you have some similar tactic I wont mind it. It may even give me an idea.:
- Yooka's Equipment:
Midnight Purple Ribbon → given by the Guildmaster of the Grassveil Guild. Supposedly, it is bound to her aura. It's located wrapped around her entire tail except the last 2 inches near the tip. Purple Kecleon Guild Backpack {10-slots} → The Guild Backpack; Custom reworked to look like her species but Purple, similar to herself now. It fits less items then normal due to its resizing. The mouth being a zipper to inside. Guild badge → Located at the top of the head inbetween the frills of the backpack to remind her of an old friend. It's chipped on the left side and no longer has it's sheen. - Bag contains:
-TM defog -TM Solarbeam -TM False swipe -Reaper Cloth -Lunar Ribbon -Special Band - - - -
@Defense Scarf → Somehow lessens physical damage by a miniscule amount and removes 1 point off pokemon rolls. other than that... its just a scarf. Located on the upper part of the right arm like an armband except flowing behind her just barely reaching her knees. ¦ No longer with Yooka, for now...
[starting type: Normal] Just outside the Guild, not even... Leaning next to the doorway, was a semi-Purple Kecleon. she's had so many tough times that the color just became a norm for her. Especially after a quest involving scaring things. She ended up being the most effect by the end. Yooka's practically always on edge now and still never really cares for things unimportant. Right now she lost her defense scarf due to her last mission. Having to use it to tie up the target sense it had some form of mortal disease that probably would have killed her if she got bit, scratched, or whatnot. So she's looking through some of her stuff to replace it, she didn't find much though. She even found some TMs she could sell. She wasn't happy as of the moment. only 3 things could replace it but none looked right. Reaper Cloth sounds fine but its practically a tattered hooded cape. Lunar ribbon is just a ribbon relating to the moon, apparently able to evolve some pokemon. Special band, well... is just a glorified band. Yooka left her backpack and stuff on the ground and was leaning on the wall next to the entrance. "I figured something like this would happen. I should just go to the market and 'get' a scarf. None of these have any use in dire situations like 'that' time... mmrrr." She moaned looking down at the sprawled items. The special band looks like the only choice here.

| When Darcy shouldered the door, Yooka went to open it further to try an help Darcy a bit, but the skitty was already outside. Something felt odd outside. It was early morning, most guildmembers would be out and about by this time similarly to inside, but the garden itself was rather empty. Only a few groups could be seen doing whatever it was they were doing. This seemed more towards what Yooka was hoping. A wide area practically alone. Maybe this would be a better time to say something.
Yooka went to look at Darcy but finally registered what the skorupi said on the way out... "Oh, so you 'were' looking to join the...--" Yooka looked at Darcy with an 'oh geez...' look. "mmmrr, well, arighty then. It's a bit open out here... and this just became awkward because of what he just said. but...--" She took a step back and looked at darcy as if trying to explain 'the birds and the bees' to a child but stopped herself and went firm. "I left your team. Because teamwork is something I cant seem to do well. but it's more that I just don't like being close to peeps because of 'this' kind of stuff. Don't assume I am leaving you, oh no. I'm just not fit for this 'working as a team' thing all willy-nilly. I tend to do things alone for I find it easier." The more Yooka talked the more her color faded...
When she finished Yooka looked over at the Skorupi before closing her eyes and sighing. "It's not because of her, it's me. If you ever do join the guild and need any help, I'll be around." She turned around and kept her eyes closed, but didnt leave. She wanted to hear what the Skitty had to say. Such an upbeat being hearing such a thing... She'd rather not look at the reaction but hear it. Perhaps it 'was' too soon or too late. If only she hadn't waited all this time or hadn't joined in the first place. This stuff really doesn't matter to Yooka, but reputation with the people is far more important.
A bad rep would be intimidating and looked at. Yooka wants to be rather hidden in a society, away from the officials. unless she draws it onto herself by herself and not by someone else. but if that happens She will try to minimize that by any means, and those means could go pretty far. Being tied to someone who could drag her down is something she does not want. Perhaps if the skitty could catch up, maybe then she would get a bit closer. But for now, being a mercenary for the skitty would be better than being an outright teammate who distrusts everything. To choose to ignore the skitty if needed may be a safer approach.
((OOC: I thought you'd be gone for a while, good to see your tryin but dont let it mess up anything more important. ...Like school or work 'Overwatch'... ^ω^ ))

| - important ooc about my posting schedule (pls read):
as of this post, I've got my hands on a new phone so posts should return mostly to a normal schedule. mostly as in still a very small bit delayed because i need to get used to typing on this thing. thanks for being patient.
The air was thick with tension. Just being in the room made Morty feel strange... he couldn't describe whatever emotion he was feeling right now, other than he knew was that it wasn't a positive one. It was an odd mixture of discomfort and sadness... whatever it was, he just wanted to get away from it. And, what better excuse than the garden? Convenient timing on Darcy's part. She opened up the door that led outside, as she assured Morty that he would get accepted into the guild. She seemed pretty positive of it, and he wanted to feel the same, but he still couldn't help but feel the slightest bit anxious about it. Indeed, the garden was big, and beautiful, too. But, while the abundant flowers and nature were definitely a pretty sight, Morty could honestly not have cared less about any of the floral works compared to the main attraction - the large, open field displayed in front of him. It was a bit less crowded than he had hoped, but he could still make this work! Yes! Of the guild members scattered across the lawn, certainly one of them must have been interested in sparring with him. His eyes lit up at thought. "W-wow..." Morty gasped out the words. He then quickly regained his composition, worried about looking like a fool. "Uhhh... you didn't lie about this place. This is good. Yeah, this place looks pretty great!" He couldn't hold back his excitement! The scorpion Pokemon payed little attention to Darcy or Yooka as he prepared to scuttle towards the center of thr field. This was gonna be so f- Morty then heard Yooka say out of nowhere, "I left your team." Followed by something else that he couldn't understand because she slowly got quieter and quieter, until her words were just inaudible whispers. He didn't even know what to think of that. Was that what was on Yooka's nerves the whole time? Morty's uncertainty rapidly turned into downright confusion. Was it a bad thing? How would Darcy react? Was that even aimed towards Darcy? His head was filled with far too many questions, and far too little answers... Morty's head hurt.

| The excited look on Morty's face didn't disappoint as he came outside and got his first good look at the gardens. Darcy couldn't help but grin alongside him... This was one of her favorite parts of the guild too. But while she wanted to talk with him about it and show him around, Yooka's presence kept her from getting carried away. Darcy sighed and sat down on the grass, her ears flattened against her head as she waited for her friend to come outside. She must have been doing something wrong, something to make Yooka upset. Maybe even something bad enough to make her color change. But what could it be?
She listened carefully as the Kecleon spoke. But once she was done, Darcy just felt... Confused. "...Well, um... Yeah. I've known that for a long time," she said.
"Did you... Forget about that letter you gave me..? The one you folded into a little paper star?" she asked while hopping over to Yooka's side and wearing a confused half-smile. "I figured you were just too shy to tell me in person, and leaving our team didn't change things very much, so I never brought it up. Um... Sorry? Should I be sorry?"

| - ooc, kecleon/chemeleon body color:
in the show kecleons can change all willy-nilly. But the root of the pokemon, the chemeleon, changes color based on mood with some influence by temperature. *and yes they too can change color by will* however, emotions overpowers will in both beings. specified by both science for the IRL chemeleon and the dex entries for the pokemon kecleon.
Considering the purple color is a potential 'emotional scar'... Changing colors then would be rather difficult, so its pretty extreme if it occurs rapidly... *wink wink* but you'd have to practically need to be a kecleon or have known this to probably know her situation was serious.
(I have a pet chemeleon ^-^ )
An awkward moment of silence lingered as the skitty was talking. It was blantent that Darcy was confused, but Yooka was even more 'confused'. The reaction she got was no where near what she expected. For a few seconds it looked like Yooka's color was going to return to kecleon green, but it returned to her nightmare purple. Only to shift to cyan quickly. There was a moment where Yooka wanted to just leave the area. but she found herself turned around and holding Darcy in a rather warm hug. She pulled back just as quickly and put the skitty back down. Her eyes were somewhat watery but she was not crying, "Don't keep things from me, I can't keep up with your level of sympathy." She blinked twice and on the third she squeezed them and shifted her head as she noticed the watering. When she opened them to look back she was back to her own self, still purple however. "Ngeh, geez. You kept saying I was part of your team for so long, I didn't know what to do without looking bad... Nevermind about it now, that moments over, I'd like to just forget it happened..." Yooka shifted her gaze away again for a second before she perked up as she remembered the Skorupi. "That was probably wierd but just ignore it, it'll pass by if you dont really thing about it. ...Anyways... You said you were here to perhaps join? Darcy there is a better leader than I am, technically. I dont care if you join mine, but if your looking to make your own or join someone else's..." Yooka shrugged. "I'm not going to be much help there." After all of that she looked around the garden only to re-realize its practically empty of members. She remained silent about this as it wasnt important, and just stared at the nearest group of flowers. - ooc, happy moments for me be like...:
Nope, never... Or, at least, whenever I try to put them into words... :P I 'suck' at doing these situations. especially with a character thats 'not' suppose to show emotions easily or at all. even then I still do show 'some' when the character's not really suppose to.
hmm... I watched a show that would be a better example.
Aldnoah Zero (its on netflix)
The character in question is the white-ish haired main character, Inaho Kaizuka. Or the extremely skilled; orange colored training unit user.

| From the looks of it, Yooka had managed to get over whatever was on her conscious. Morty stood by and watched as she talked with Darcy. Yooka appeared surprised with the Skitty's reaction to her announcement. Suddenly, they embraced each other gently in a hug. Blecch. Morty was never good with mushy stuff like that. His expression almost changed to one of disgust, but he caught himself and retained a neutral face, for he didn't want to be rude. Especially not around Pokemon he had just met, and especially not when they were having their moment over there.
Their moment together over, Yooka let go of Darcy and put the issue behind her. She then confronted Morty about his interest in the guild (which he had forgotten about since he entered the garden). The Kecleon asked him if he would join Darcy's team, her own team, or create his own team. The thought of starting his own was intimidating. Morty was definitely not the one to take the spotlight, and was probably too modest to lead others efficiently. And according to Yooka, Darcy was a better leader than she was. He thought for a quick second, and made his decision. "Well, truth be told, I'm not a great leader. How would I put it... I'm more of a 'number two' kind of guy than a 'number one' kind of guy. Get what I mean? I doubt I could sustain a team too well by myself.". Morty figured that was about as a good an answer as he could give. He turned around and gazed into the garden behind him. At this point it was basically empty. Morty had missed his chance to train with anyone. That was a bit disappointing. But, that was also one less distraction. Now he could focus on joining the guild again. He paused and weighed his options for a moment. When he had made his mind, he turned to face Darcy and Yooka once again and said, "I know this is sudden, as we've only just met and all, but... Darcy, do you mind if I join your team? Yooka did say you were a better leader than her." . This was most likely his best option. It wasn't like he could think of anything better, anyways.

| Yooka seemed to fidget somewhat, and then her color shifted to a deep purple again... Darcy shrank backward and was struck with a pang of guilt. This must have meant a lot to Yooka. That would explain the color change, and why she had seemed so uncomfortable all day, and-- But then Yooka's skin flushed cyan and Darcy found herself whisked off of the ground. She squeaked softly with surprise, wondering what was going on... But then she realized how Yooka was carrying her, and the Skitty's eyes grew wide with shock and understanding. Yooka, the one who had always seemed so emotionless and distant... Yooka was giving her a hug. In no time at all, Yooka put her down and seemed back to her usual self. But Darcy was still dumbstruck, unable to tear her gaze away from her former teammate, her own eyes growing a little watery as well... "You were really that worried..?" she murmured, feeling deeply touched by Yooka's sudden display of affection, but also deeply remorseful for putting her in such a situation... It made her want to run up to Yooka and hug her tightly and apologize with all her heart. She had never meant to cause her friend any anxiety, not at all... Yooka seemed to want to put all of this behind them, but Darcy walked over to Yooka and gave her a small hug with her forepaws anyway. "I'm really, really sorry, Yooka... I didn't have any idea..." she said, squeezing her eyes shut. "If anything bothers you like this again, please don't be shy about talking to me, alright? I know I'm... Kind of sensitive, but... We're friends. If it's for you, I can take anything. Really..."...She didn't want to let go, but she didn't want Yooka or Morty to feel uncomfortable, either, so she forced herself to pull away. She sat down and listened shyly as the conversation turned back to their Skorupi visitor... Darcy really was curious about which team he was going to join. It was understandable to not want to start a team from scratch, but she hoped that they would still get to work together every now and then. Maybe she could even mentor him a little? But as curious as she was, she hadn't expected his request. "Oh? Well, umm..." Darcy said, tilting her head and bringing one of her paws up to her mouth while she thought. ...She did like the idea of having a new friend to work with, but she still had some misgivings. Her tail brushed through the grass as she thought about what to say. "Umm, I would love it if you would join, Morty. We only have two members right now. I'd be really happy to have someone new around, especially since you seem nice.
"There is one thing I'm worried about though." She stood up and stepped closer, her tail waving back and forth through the air as she gazed at Morty curiously. Eventually she took a seat a foot or so in front of him and stared at the ground, kneading at it with her paws while she spoke. "...My partner... She's... Well, um, she's kind of like a little sister to me. But she's also really shy, you know..." Darcy said. "I don't want to add team members willy-nilly without talking to her first. Could we go pay her a visit and see what she thinks?"- ooc:
I'd be glad to have Morty on Darcy's team, but I should get Mada's approval too, since she's the one roleplaying Darcy's partner. I'll invite her to join this thread if that's alright. That way everyone can meet each other. c:

| Thankfully the scene didnt last long. It got a little extended by the skitty's nature but at least it didnt continue on. The scorupi asked Darcy to join, and while Darcy said sure... She seemed to be uneasy about one of her other members. Yooka facepalmed and shook her head. "Ah, yes... Alki... that Igglybuff..." Looking at the skorupi Yooka was about to say his name but stopped. "Mmrrr... I've forgot your name. Well anyway, Alki, can be... difficult... to get along with if your one that likes getting into action... If it doesn't seem to work out. I'll be fine with you joining me till you find a better suited team."
She paused to what she was saying. "Why don't you go see Alki for a bit to get a fee-- no, maybe that... mmrrr." She closed her eyes as she imagined the Igglybuff's timid nature towards the Scorupi. Then she shook her head again and growled to herself before relooking at the skorupi. "Unless your fine with timid peeps, I think your better off with me... But again, it'll be only till you can find a better suited team. Unless, ofcourse, you really fancy being somewhat hindered. I'm going to be doing some pretty serious stuff that could get complicated for the unexperienced. Mostly Mercenary work unless it's personal."
She then Facepalmed and growled to herself towards what she said again. "What am I saying. I'm not very friendly outside the town. I take things pretty seriously in a lax way. I like to do things alone but I can probably get over being with someone, if they can handle themself." And now she flinched... because what she said was why she left Darcy. It sort of slipped out and to Yooka it was... more brutal then needed. Hopefully Darcy doesn't take that too hard.
"Either way, If you want a crash course on how the guild works... I'll be around, just ask and I'll set up a situation for you. Just... remember one thing. Don't just go doing unnecessary good around just anywhere. It'll cause problems." Yooka walked over to the flowers she was staring at earlier and stared at them more... analyzing them for something.

| Yes! Darcy agreed to let him join the team! There was even another member already, so Morty got the opportunity to meet some new Pokemon as well. But Darcy's tone when she talked about her partner... like something was distressing her about letting Morty join. Particularly this partner's shyness from the sounds of it. Morty wasn't great at talking with shy Pokemon. He had a hard time getting to know them, but that's to be expected with someone like that. Maybe it would even be a learning experience for him? Possibly, he could better his communication skills?
Morty was determined to join Darcy's team. He was about to voice his response but he was cut off by Yooka, who gave more information on her partner. Apparently, her name was Alki, and Igglybuff. Morty had only heard of Igglybuffs before. They looked quite frail, like a nearby breeze could knock the wind out of them. And, the description fit the character - according to Yooka, Alki wasn't one for action. That threw a curveball right at Morty's plans. Heck, the only reason he wanted to join the guild was to fight people. The Igglybuff's personality could totally ruin that plan... no. As he thought before, it could indeed teach him something. And recently, Morty had been exhausted almost all the time from fighting. Maybe a change in pace was what he needed? Yeah. Maybe he should slow down and learn to enjoy the finer things.
Yooka finished up her speech, seemingly regretting some things she said. She walked over to a nearby patch of flowers as she told Morty to say if he needed anything in the future. That Kecleon... still pretty weird to him. It was like his words always spilled out before she knew what she wanted to say. It reminded him a bit of his past self. Though, what Yooka said last was the strangest thing he had heard yet - don't go doing unnecessary good. That... was an odd thing to say. What bad could come from being good? Nevermind. It wasn't like he was here to go on any long, important adventures anytime soon. Or at least, not that he planned to.
Morty sat silently and thought for a moment. When he came to his decision, he stood and spoke. "Alki... she sounds like an interesting person. I'm still totally on board to join your team, Darcy! She sounds fun. Oh, and, uh... Yooka. Name's Morty, in case you forgot...". He gazed into the distance for a short time... then centered his attention on the guild building. He was excited to meet Alki. And then, soon after that, he'd finally get to register for the guild. It's what he'd been waiting for, and the time was so close!!

| The books taunted her. Darcy had been teaching her how to read, but Alki couldn't make heads or tails of the thick book propped in front of her. She couldn't even read the first few sentences. Sure, she could tell what a couple of the words were, but there were so many of them!
Alki sighed, closing the book. She didn't know how to read well enough. She wouldn't tell Darcy, she didn't want to let the Skitty down like that. She propped it up against Darcy's bed, and left the room. If she couldn't read, there wasn't much to do, and it was clear that she couldn't read.
As she travelled the guild halls, she made sure to not risk eye contact with anyone. What if they talked to her? What if they didn't like her? What if... Alki soon found herself safe at the door, no one around her. No one to look at her or talk to her or judge her. She sighed, before stepping outside the guild and into the garden. It was pretty, the flowers growing all around her. The first time she'd visited the gardens, needless to say, hadn't been a pleasant experience for her. But looking at all of the vibrant colors, and all the different kinds of plants, she was impressed, and happy. Someone had clearly put in a lot of work into the garden. She bounced slowly, observing all of the different kinds of flowers.
"Alki... she sounds like an interesting person..." She heard an unfamiliar voice speak her name, and Alki's sense of calm was replaced by a flood of panic. Why was he talking about her? How was she interesting? Who was he talking to? Himself? Someone else? Alki didn't know what to do. Hide? Go back to her room? Find Darcy? Talk to him?
Alki was rooted to the spot, her face pale as she considered her options. Well... the first thing to do was figure out who he was talking to. "W-What a-a-about m-me?" She stammered, loud enough to be heard, but only just. She searched for the source of the voice. Soon enough, she found it, and the Pokemon in question was accompanied by Darcy and Yooka. That was a relief, and the pink color began to return to Alki's face.
"I-I mean, I h-heard my name, and... h-how am I interesting?" She continued, looking at the Skorupi's feet instead of his eyes. He was much taller than her, or even Darcy. Alki couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, but she managed to ask a simple question to the Skorupi. She didn't want to seem like a total wimp... "W-Who are you, t-then? Y-You... s-s-seem to know who I am." She managed to say, with as much conviction as she could muster. Regrettably, it wasn't a lot, and despite herself, she looked up at Darcy for help.

| Darcy sighed as Yooka spoke. The part about not going out of your way to do good things didn't make much sense, but it was true that their team might not be a perfect match for everyone. Still, Darcy at least wanted to try. Maybe she was getting her hopes up for nothing, but having a third member to work with and rely on sounded wonderful. It would sure help take some of the pressure off of her... She still wasn't used to running a team mostly by herself.
So of course she was relieved to hear that Morty still wanted to join. She gave him a shy smile and nodded. "Okay. She should still be in the guild somewhere, so let's just--"
Her ears perked up and she whirled around as she heard a soft, quiet voice... Alki's voice! Sure enough, she was standing near the garden's entrance. "Hey, Alki!" Darcy said, smiling as she bounded over to her Igglybuff friend. "Ummm, this is Morty. This is his first time visiting the guild, so we were showing him around."
She sat down by Alki's side and turned to face the Skorupi, a hopeful smile on her face. "He's here to join the guild too. We were talking about which team he wants to join, and um... We were thinking that maybe he could join ours, if it's okay with you." She gave Morty a nod, as if inviting him to step forward and introduce himself. She did her best to look calm, but butterflies danced in her stomach while she watched. Would these two get along..? Alki wasn't very good with strangers...

| Something finally clicked on why the gardens was so odd. There were some merigolds in the bunch. These were not in the Gardens the last time she was here... She perked up and wanted to tell Darcy this little sight, incase she didn't know... but, then Yooka saw Alki and closed her eyes and sighed. The little Igglybuff, summoned to the Gardens seemingly by her words. The little Igglybuff had made her scene. Darcy will be too distracted by Alki and the new member, Guess it's a little late now. Perhaps Darcy does know about the new flowers. Wouldn't surprise Yooka if the flowers here in the Gardens came from the one Darcy brought to the Guildmaster herself. Instead Yooka slipped off silently. However, she also slipped a note infront of the skorupi using her shadow as a guide in a similar fashion to the paper shuriken she used for Darcy's note. It stated her name: Yooka, team name: which was 'K.I.N.', and that she was willing to work with or for the owner of the note if they so choose to join or ask. She needed some alone time away from Darcy's group. Until she feels fine going back to them. - ooc:
A little quick, but meh... as for page exp... Yooka will just barely have enough but Alki wont get this page. I thought I had till the end of the page. :l Aw well. I bend to the RP. If it can happen, and it happened... Then I shall proceed in showing my character's reaction to it.
Yooka's out, bai! σωσ

| A very small voice entered Morty's ear, but just barely... Darcy greeted it as he turned to find its source. A tiny, round Pokemon, far smaller than himself, approached the group, asking who spoke about her. According to Darcy, this Igglybuff was Alki! Cute little fellow. She also stammered and stuttered alot, though Morty didn't mind (or really even notice). "You're Alki? Darcy told me about you. Good timing on yoir part. Like she said, I was planning on joining your team."Both Alki and Darcy looked really nervous about him joining them. Yooka was right about her being difficult. Speaking of which, Yooka was being awfully quiet. He was about to look in her direction, but he noticed a shadow... it slowly slid across the floor, with a piece of paper in it's grasp, which stopped in front of him. Surprised, Morty looked towards the flower bed where Yooka was. But she was gone. Confused, his thoughts lingered on her for a short time... when he turned to face the other two again, he quietly took the small paper and put it away. He would read it after everything with Darcy and Alki was said and done. - ooc:
bye yooka :)

| Alki nodded as Darcy explained why the Skorupi was there. So he wanted to join the guild? More specifically, Morty wanted to join their team, Darcy's and Alki's. Why? Why theirs? There were plenty of teams, and Alki felt lucky to be a part of Darcy's. What if that changed? Alki scanned Morty, taking in the newcomer nervously. He was big and he seemed tough and cool and Morty didn't stammer, not like Alki. Why did she have to stammer so much? Nobody else did...
"U-Um... Y'see, I... err..." Alki quickly cleared her throat, her eyes widening as she struggled to think of what to say. Darcy was looking at her. And it was her decision whether Morty got to join or not. Sort of. If it's ok with you, Darcy asked. No, it wasn't Ok! Alki planted her feet into the ground and rocked gently back and forth, contemplating what to do.
On one hand, what if Darcy ended up liking Morty? Alki thought back to her mistakes in Shadowhue, or their fight with her sister and how Alki had been the one to almost pass out from a single blow. Alki had a hard time believing that something like that could happen to the Skorupi. What good was a heal pulse when she wouldn't be conscious long enough to use it? She'd be useless if he joined...
On the other, Darcy looked so hopeful about this. Alki thought about what would happen if she said "No." That hopeful smile on Darcy's face would smile and be replaced by... what? Disappointment? Frustration? Or Arceus forbid, anger... Alki focused her attention on a couple of Marigolds to the left of her, away from Darcy and away from Morty.
Alki suddenly felt like crying. She was Darcy's only teammate, but that wouldn't last. It couldn't, Alki didn't want to let down Darcy. But that left only one option, she'd have to let Morty join their team. And then she'd have to wait, and watch herself as the Skorupi slowly replaced her. What could she do that someone else wouldn't be able to? Alki sniffed, and rubbed her eyes. She turned to look back at Morty. She paused for a couple seconds, trying to think of the proper words.
"W-Well. Who am I to say no?" She said, bitterness creeping into her voice, even though Alki didn't realize it at the time. He was going to replace her, and there was nothing she could do about it... "Y-You can join, i-it's fine by me, Darcy. W-Welcome Morty." The bitterness was quickly replaced by quiet resignation. There was nothing she could do about it. Alki managed to form a small smile as she looked up at the Skorupi. "I-If it's anything like when I joined, we'll probably h-have to go see t-the guild-m-master..."

| Darcy watched the others carefully and quietly, her tail sweeping back and forth. She saw Yooka slip away from the group, but just smiled and decided not to say anything. The Kecleon probably wanted some time to herself after acting so affectionate earlier. Darcy still felt warm from that... She knew firsthand that Yooka struggled with opening up to others, and that she didn't like to show her emotions... It made her actions feel all the more touching. It was a privilege, being able to witness that side of her...
Alki's shaky voice quickly brought Darcy back to reality though. She seemed uncertain, with the way her eyes widened and she rocked back and forth, but the Skitty had expected that. The two of them were close, so of course it would be difficult to accept another team member, especially because of how shy and sensitive Alki was... But they couldn't keep their team this small forever, right? Darcy didn't want to, at least. Missions would be so much safer and easier and more fun if they were willing to broaden their horizons a little...
Alki's response wasn't very enthusiastic. Darcy tilted her head and shifted her weight uncomfortably, not quite sure what to say. Was Alki afraid of him? Or maybe she was just shy, and not looking forward to having a stranger on their team? It would make sense... Alki had been uneasy even around herself and Yooka at first.
Darcy sighed and stood to her feet, looking back to Morty. Perhaps those two would warm up to one another if they were just given enough time. He didn't seem like a bad Pokemon... Maybe it would take a while, but she was sure that he would earn Alki's trust eventually. Taking comfort in that, Darcy smiled and spoke up again. "Welcome to the team, then!" she said, grinning wider as she gave Morty a nod. "Alki is right, though. We have to go talk to the guildmaster to make it official. Follow me, okay?"
She turned around and began heading back inside. "Like I said, she's been busy lately... But having a new guild member is always a big occasion. I'm sure she'll make some time for us as long as we're polite." She gave Morty a curious glance over her shoulder as she walked, still smiling happily. "Have you heard anything about her before? Have any questions you want to ask before we say hello..?"

| Morty was finally all set to enter the guild. It all happened so much faster and easier than he figured it would. With Alki's acceptance, all the pieces were in place. On the inside, he was burning with excitement, but on the outside, he was cool and collected. Speaking quickly, he said, "Alright! Thanks, you two. I'll make sure not to let either of you down, ever!"
His pent up energy slowly transformed into silent worry. It almost seemed as if Alki struggled to say yes. As if it pained her. This was almost 100% reassured as she rubbed her eyes like she was on the verge of tears. She was so sensitive to everything... she looked the same when she first had entered the garden, too - worried. Morty would be careful around her.
He placed his thoughts into the back of his mind as Darcy spoke. She was ready to go, other than asking Morty if he had questions, or if he knew anything about the guildmaster. "Well, actually, I don't know anything about the guildmaster. I can only assume their strong and wise, though. Sounds like it fits the title. But, whatever - I'm sure I'll be fine! I'm not nervous!" No longer able to keep in his enthusiasm, Morty ran over to the door leading to the guild without even listening if Darcy or Alki had a response. His blood was practically boiling at this point! As the doors flew open behind him, the short rush of cool, morning air was nowhere near enough to extinguish his flaming spirit!!
